Lil Uzi Vert Describes Themselves As The “Class Clown” Of Hip-Hop

Lil Uzi Vert says that they’re the “class clown” of hip-hop. Uzi discussed their image as an “outcast” during a recent interview with GQ, refuting the idea while discussing their relationship with “the industry.” Uzi admits they’re aesthetically an “outcast” but the dynamic is different in reality.

“I’m not really the outcast, even though I take on the outcast aesthetic,” they told the outlet. “You got the cool kids and the jocks. Then you got the nerds, then you got the kids with behavior problems. But I’m more of the class clown. Some days people will really like me. And then some days I get on they nerves. The class clown is just trying to make friends.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Uzi discussed some of the influences on their artistry, including Chance The Rapper’s Acid Rap.“It was so weird to me. I didn’t understand how he was taking tones of music that I really don’t like but making me like them,” they said. The interview comes after the release of Uzi’s latest album, The Pink Tape. The star-studded tracklist features collaborations with Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Bring Me the Horizon, Don Toliver, and more. Check out Uzi’s interview with GQ below.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “The Pink Tape” Gets New Sales Projections

Lil Uzi Vert came through with The Pink Tape last Friday, much to the delight of their fans. Although the album has been quite polarizing, there is no doubt that it is streaming well. There are some people on Twitter who will tell you this project is perfect. That said, it should come as no surprise that people are getting a lot of replay value out of this thing. Moreover, there is a huge incentive to run the numbers up here. Overall, a hip-hop album has not reached number one on the Billboard charts this year.

Instead, Morgan Wallen has been dominating the charts for 15 straight weeks. Country music seems to be having a huge moment right now, and it has ultimately kept hip-hop from that number-one spot. However, over the weekend, it was made clear that Uzi’s project would end up taking the top spot. In fact, they were projected to sell between 200 and 250K units. Unfortunately, that number has since lowered over the past week or so.

Lil Uzi Vert Continues To Dominate

According to information reported by Hits Daily Double, Lil Uzi Vert is now projected to sell 165K in the first week. Although this is very respectable, it’s still kind of low for an album poised to take the top spot. Either way, this is very much a win for the genre as a whole. Wallen will finally be dethroned, all while Uzi’s comeback album gets to top the charts. Hopefully, albums like Pink Friday 2 and UTOPIA can also find their way to the top of the charts.

If one thing is for sure, it’s that there are a lot of great albums on the horizon right now. Let us know your thoughts on Pink Tape, in the comments section down below. Additionally, be sure to keep it locked to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed.

Lil Uzi Vert Teases Fans With “Luv Is Rage 3”

Lil Uzi Vert is easily one of the most popular artists in all of hip-hop right now. Overall, The Pink Tape is an example of this. Although the new project has proven to be extremely polarizing, there are people who are absolutely loving it. The mix of metal aesthetics is quite unique, and it really seems like Uzi was looking to showcase their love of alternative music. For instance, we get a System of a Down cover, as well as a feature from Bring Me The Horizon. All-in-all, it is an album full of diverse sounds.

With all of the anticipation for this project in mind, it should come as no surprise that the project is set to go number one. A hip-hop album has not gone number one in 2023. Although, this mostly has to do with the consistent success of Morgan Wallen. However, Uzi is projected to sell around 200K units, and that should be good enough for that top spot. Consequently, Uzi is now teasing a second release, as long as they reach that aforementioned number one spot.

Is Lil Uzi Vert Dropping Again?

Lil Uzi Vert did this back in 2020 with Eternal Atake. Just one week after that project’s release, they came through with Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World Pt. 2. According to Uzi’s Instagram bio, it would see as though the potential second release would be Luv Is Rage 3. Of course, Uzi has not stated whether or not this project is actually coming. However, it is being teased in a very obvious way right now. Of course, Uzi released Luv Is Rage 2 back in 2017. For many, this is Uzi’s best project to date.

If Uzi does come through with Luv Is Rage 3, then you can just imagine how wild the reactions will be. That said, it remains to be seen if the sounds of this tape will be similar to that of The Pink Tape. Let us know if you’re excited for a second Uzi project, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pink Tape’ Will Not Have A Deluxe Edition, Instead They Will Drop ‘A Whole New Album’

After years of delays, Lil Uzi Vert finally released their highly anticipated album, Pink Tape. The “Just Wanna Rock” rapper secured guest features from Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and more. As fans continue to shift through the project, Uzi is making it clear that they’ve washed their hands of the body of work. Instead of following the trend of dropping an extended version of an album, Lil Uzi Vert has let supporters know that Pink Tape will not have a deluxe edition.

The entertainer appeared via audio on Twitch streamer Kani Rose’s broadcast. As fans flooded the live chat, they pushed Rose to ask the musician about their new album. When the gamer asked Uzi whether or not Pink Tape would have any additional iterations, they quickly answered, “No.”

However, Uzi clarified that they would release more music, saying, “But I will drop a whole ‘nother album.”

The album was caught up in controversy before its release when Lil Uzi Vert and their girlfriend JT (of City Girls) were involved in a physical altercation at the 2023 BET Awards.

Pink Tape is out now via Atlantic Records. Find more information here.

Natalie Nunn Reacts To Nicki Minaj Mentioning Her On Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape”

Lil Uzi Vert recently dropped his highly-anticipated new album, Pink Tape. The album features Nicki Minaj, who appears on the song “Endless Fashion.” During one of the verses, Natalie Nunn is mentioned by the artists. “Ayo, even if my name was Natalie, none these b*tches still couldn’t chin-check me,” they rap. Now, Nunn has taken to social media to respond to the shoutout.

“I LOVE YOU @nickiminaj,” Nunn wrote on Instagram alongside a screenshot of the song. “PLEASE COME HOST THE BADDIES REUNION NOW IM ASKING PLEASEEEEEEE NICKI I LOVE YOU,” she continued, adding a kissing emoji. It’s clear that Nunn would love to have Nicki make an appearance on Baddies, as she goes on to share a clip of herself previously calling for Nicki to host the reunion. Nunn also took to Twitter, telling Baddies fans, “make sure y’all stream it runs those numbers up for the queen like we do the 91 million streams on baddies!!”

Natalie Wants Nicki Minaj To Host The Baddies Reunion

Lil Uzi Vert finally dropped Pink Tape today, after teasing the new LP for months. Aside from Nicki Minaj, the album also features Don Toliver, Babymetal, and Bring Me The Horizon. Travis Scott also makes an appearance on the track “Aye,” which was revealed by DJ Akademiks earlier this month.

Recently, Nicki shared more about her verse on “Endless Fashion” on Twitter with Uzi’s girlfriend, City Girls’ JT. JT mentioned how quickly she was able to complete her verse for the song, claiming she “almost had a heart attack today!” JT told the rapper, “you really too real & raw I love you.” Nicki responded to her Tweet, writing, “Girl I started @ 8am & finished like 5pm. When I tell you I was exhausted by the time I was done. Lol. B/c I was rushing to get it in on time. I kept telling him ’30 mins’ then hitting him back 2 hours later TB 15-20 more minutes Uzi!!!!,” she explained. “I did that ALL DAY LONG YO,” she added with a laughing emoji.

Lil Uzi Vert & Nicki Minaj’s ‘Endless Fashion’ Just Gave Fans Another High-End Collaboration To Add To Their Collection

Asap Rocky isn’t the only fashion killer in hip-hop. Lil Uzi Vert has gone on the record to declare their flyness. But on their new track “Endless Fashion” featuring Nicki Minaj, their designer obsession sores to new heights. As one of the breakout tracks from Lil Uzi Vert’s new album, Pink Tape, the rappers continue their magically collaborative streak.

On the track produced by Bugz Ronin, the pair boasts about their designer buds. In the second verse, Minaj flaunts her exclusive access to revered designers, rapping, “Ayo, even if my name was Natalie, none these b*tches still couldn’t chin-check me / That’s word to Chanel, it ain’t nothin’ to see, bitches on TV channelin’ me / Harajuku Barbie, Roman Zolanski, from Red Ruby to Chun-Li / I put door knocker earrings in Fendi, then stamped the trench coat Burberry.”

But before she closes her verse, there are a few more brands she wants to highlight, rapping, “I was really in the field with Karl Lager’ (Oop), now it’s Heaven campaigns / Check-in with Dapper Dan when I’m in Harlem / My n****s’ll blow like Virgil.”

Lil Uzi Vert joins in to shout out their favorite labels rapping, “These rappers can’t dress, yeah, they just be hatin’ / I never ratted, but got all the statements / Stopped wearing Kapital ’cause it got basic / I still wear Kapital, Uzi, stop fakin’ / I used to wear more Number (N)ine than Asians / I mix the Greg Lauren, purple label.”

Fashion and music go hand in hand. Lil Uzi Vert and Nicki Minaj are just the latest to highlight the symbiotic relationship.
