“WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU” Receives Early First Week Sales Projections

Metro Boomin and Future gave fans a bit of a stylistic curveball with their second album in less than a month with WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU. It had a lot of high expectations going in, after having to follow in the footsteps on WE DON’T TRUST YOU and its major hits. “Like That,” “Type S***,” “Cinderella,” “Young Metro,” and “We Don’t Trust You,” have proven to be the standouts and they are all pretty stellar trap cuts. But instead of giving another dosage of the initial album, it was a smart move for both artists to go in a different direction. But will WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU benefit from that in terms of sales projections?

The short answer is mostly yes. According to HipHopNMore, the early outlook for the album is looking to hover between 150-175K copies. For comparison, WE DON’T TRUST YOU sold a whopping 251,000 in its debut, which was the largest opening week at the time. If we are looking at this on face value, it would appear that fans enjoy the more aggressive and dark tracks from Metro and Future.

WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU Will Most Likely Go No. 1

But this is just after the album being out for almost two full days. We still have five days or so remaining before we get a better idea. Regardless, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU should still see a number one debut on the charts, especially with not much being released over the weekend. If it does reach the top like its predecessor, Future will then have 10 top-charting LPs and Metro will reach five.

What are your thoughts on WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU so far and the sales projections? Do you think this is a reflection on the quality of the music, or some needing more time to appreciate it? What songs have you been messing with so far? Do you like Future over these kinds of beats and would you want to hear more if it in the future? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Metro Boomin, Future, and WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU. 21 Savage “american dream” First-Week Sales Projections Are Here

21 Savage’s american dream landed with a huge splash as arguably the first massive release of 2024 for the hip-hop genre– and music at large, for that matter. Moreover, it marked his solo return following 2018’s i am > i was, a statement which may ring truer today than it ever has before. In between, the Atlanta trap icon also released SAVAGE MODE II with Metro Boomin (2020) and Her Loss with Drake (2022). So, why talk about these previous releases in his catalog if we’re all focused on the 15 tracks he just dropped yesterday? Well, it’s because we have american dream‘s first week sales projections courtesy of HDD (HITS Daily Double).

Furthermore, if this album continues the pace it’s at right now, it could mark 21 Savage’s biggest solo album debut ever. To elaborate, the publication estimated that american dream is on pace to sell 130K to 150K album-equivalent units in its first week. For comparison, his 2018 project sold 131K copies first-week, so it seems like he’s in a comfortable range to commercially best himself. Still, this is solo material; the “née-nah” MC’s collab projects in between his most recent solo full-lengths, SAVAGE MODE II and Her Loss, sold 171K copies and 404K copies, respectively.

21 Savage’s american dream‘s First Week Sales Projections, Plus His Previous Numbers

Regardless, american dream could very well debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts if it keeps up these numbers. But what do these sales matter at the end of the day when people just want 21 Savage to make the best music possible? Given that the album’s been out for less than 24 hours at press time, we’ll leave that debate open for another time. While there’s been plenty of positive reception and acclaim, some haters, and even potential disses on the LP against Gunna, all this conversation is still supplementary to how the record will age and perform throughout the year.

Meanwhile, there’s also the Slaughter Gang boss’ upcoming movie to think about, which will apparently star Donald Glover. Even though it would be amazing to see this biopic, it’s still a bit unclear whether its announcement was just a promo stunt for the album and nothing more. They did share a release date, so perhaps we’ll truly find out what’s up with it on July 4 this year. For more news and the latest updates on 21 Savage, check back in with HNHH.

Offset’s “Set It Off” First Week Sales Projections Revealed

Offset dropped off his second solo album, Set It Off, yesterday after plenty of teasing. The new project is jam-packed with high-profile features from the likes of Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Latto, and of course, Cardi B. It seems as though fans are enjoying the 21-track LP, with many calling it some of Offset’s strongest work so far.

Listeners couldn’t wait to hear what Offset had to offer them following his 2019 solo debut, Father Of 4. The hitmaker shared various previews ahead of the release, building further anticipation for the drop. Now, its first weeks sales projections are in.

Set It Off Expected To Sell 65K First Week

Set It Off is expected to sell 65k album-equivalent units in its first week. The news has come as somewhat of a surprise to listeners, who expected that the project would sell far more. With that being said, this is only a projection. The album is also competing with some heavy-hitters, including Drake’s new album For All The Dogs, which arrived last week.

Ahead of the release, Offset described how even in death, his late Migos’ groupmate Takeoff encouraged him to finish the album. “I still feel his presence and his energy like, bro, ‘We got to go hard. We got to win. We got to win. This ain’t the end of it. We got to win,’” he told Zane Lowe. “So that’s another thing that pushed me through is my boy, Take, man. He didn’t care that he didn’t care about the numbers, nothing. He like, ‘Bro, y’all’s s–t hard.’ He’s just very supportive in that. I just keep that in the back of my mind and just keep pushing.” Are you surprised with the sales projections for Offset’s new album Set It Off? How are you liking the album so far? Travis Scott’s “Utopia” To Go Number One For Fourth Straight Week

Travis Scott is one of the biggest artists in the world right now. Overall, Utopia has only made him that much more popular as an artist. His current album is doing extremely well on the charts. Moreover, he is now the most listened-to rapper in the entire world. These are all massive accomplishments, and there is no doubt that Travis has a lot more in store for us. For instance, he is about to embark on an arena and stadium tour across the United States. Hopefully, tickets for that drop soon.

As for his current standing on the Billboard charts, Utopia is currently at number one. This has been the case for three weeks in a row. Overall, many of the album’s sales have come from merch bundles. Additionally, he has been selling a ton of vinyl records which has ultimately led to wild numbers. Travis is doing big things, and fans have been curious if he can go number one for an entire month. According to a report from DJ Akademiks, he actually can.

Travis Scott Is Going Platinum

After selling about 180K units in the third week, Utopia is going to sell another 158K in the fourth week. At least that is what the projections are telling us. As Akademiks explained, 90K of these sales are bundles and physical album sales. This is a massive deal for Scott as it means he will go number one for the fourth week in a row. It is likely the last time he will go number one, as Drake’s For All The Dogs is set to be released on Friday.

No matter what, these are great numbers, and it is awesome to see Hip-Hop back at number one this year. Let us know what you think of Utopia, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Quavo’s “Rocket Power” Set For Modest First Week Sales

Rocket Power is the latest album from Quavo. A quasi-tribute to Takeoff, Rocket Power is Quavo’s first solo album since 2018’s Quavo Huncho and his first release since Migos’ final album, 2021’s Culture III. Rocket Power is a Quavo-heavy album, with just three features. “Patty Cake” features Takeoff, “Turn Yo Clic Up” features Future, and “Focused” features Young Thug.

Quavo Huncho peaked at #2 five years ago but unfortunately for Quavo, it doesn’t appear as though Rocket Power is going to have the same impact on the Billboard charts. According to HDD, the album is projected to sell 27,000-32,000 copies in its first week, which should be good enough for a top-20 debut. However, it likely won’t climb too high in that section of the chart. The top five are pretty set right now. At the time of writing, the top five on the Billboard 200 are UTOPIA, One Day At A Time, Barbie: The Album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and Midnights. All five albums shot up the charts this week, as did the #6 album, Lover.

Quavo is not the only major artist who will be debuting on the Billboard 200 next week. Unreal Unearth, the latest album from Irish folk singer Hozier also dropped this week. Per HDD, the first-week projections on that project are 45,000-55,000, which should see Unreal Unearth debut in the top ten. The album includes one feature, with American rocker Brandi Carlile appearing on “Damage Gets Done”.

The release of Rocket Power also came with the release of a music video for the single “Hold Me”. While a solo single, it serves as one of the album’s biggest goodbyes to Takeoff. Shot in Paris, the video features a sea of people wearing Takeoff t-shirts and features lyrics specifically about Quavo’s mourning for his lost nephew.

Travis Scott’s Third Week & Trippie Redd’s First Week Sales Projections Revealed

Travis Scott recently released his new album Utopia a few weeks ago. Overall, this is an album that has proven to be polarizing. Although many people love it for its production, some feel like the lyrics are lacking. That said, the project is selling very well. It did 496K sales in its very first week thanks to bundles. Moreover, the second week was also very solid, clocking in as a number-one album. Now, the project is in its third week on the charts, and fans are looking forward to what the numbers will look like.

Additionally, some people have been curious about the upcoming battle with Trippie Redd. Trippie just released A Love Letter To You 5 which was highly-anticipated. This is the album’s first week on the charts, and there has been some anticipation that the project will chart well. As it turns out, this might not actually be the case. Last night, DJ Akademiks reported on the projections surrounding both Utopia and A Love Letter To You 5. As you will see, Travis Scott is winning by a wide margin.

In its third week, Travis Scott is going to sell around 135K units. This will likely keep it at number one, which is truly impressive. Furthermore, Trippie Redd is only going to sell 32K units. Overall, this is a huge disappointment as Trippie is used to selling a lot more than this. Either way, it is clear that Utopia is king for now. Although, that could very well change with the release of Quavo’s “Rocket Power.” Drake is also going to be dropping soon, which will change things.

Let us know what you think of these projections, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world. We will continue to bring you the biggest releases from the biggest artists.

Travis Scott’s “Utopia” Could Sell 400k In Its First Week

Travis Scott’s highly anticipated new album Utopia has already proven to be one of the biggest hip-hop events of 2023. The absolutely stacked feature list and accompanying film had fans captivated and many are still digesting the full 70+ minutes of material the album has to offer. Though the album was already primed to have a huge opening week, new projections say it could be even higher than anticipated. An updated 125k in pure sales could push the total album sales to over 400k in its first week.

That number would more than double the next closest first week for a rap album this year. Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape became the first rap album to hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year. Even then, the project sold just 167k in its first week. Travis Scott is set to have the third-biggest album debut of 2023. He’ll slot in behind Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time which 501k in its first week and Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) which pushed a whopping 716k units. When Travis Scott’s last album Astroworld dropped in 2018 it scored 553k first-week sales. Though it’s worth noting that rules for album bundles, which Scott has always made heavy use of, were looser in 2018 than they are today.

Travis Scott Could Sell 400k

On top of the album and film that already exist for Utopia, Travis Scott took the project into another medium. Yesterday he shared a new zine with fans as part of the album’s rollout. It came on the same day that he had to give fans an update about a planned Utopia show. The show was supposed to take place at the pyramids in Egypt. But the performance started experiencing issues as soon as it was announced. After the show was ultimately canceled last week Scott confirmed to fans that it is being moved to Rome.

What do you think of the new projected first week sales numbers for Utopia? Let us know in the comment section below.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “The Pink Tape” Gets New Sales Projections

Lil Uzi Vert came through with The Pink Tape last Friday, much to the delight of their fans. Although the album has been quite polarizing, there is no doubt that it is streaming well. There are some people on Twitter who will tell you this project is perfect. That said, it should come as no surprise that people are getting a lot of replay value out of this thing. Moreover, there is a huge incentive to run the numbers up here. Overall, a hip-hop album has not reached number one on the Billboard charts this year.

Instead, Morgan Wallen has been dominating the charts for 15 straight weeks. Country music seems to be having a huge moment right now, and it has ultimately kept hip-hop from that number-one spot. However, over the weekend, it was made clear that Uzi’s project would end up taking the top spot. In fact, they were projected to sell between 200 and 250K units. Unfortunately, that number has since lowered over the past week or so.

Lil Uzi Vert Continues To Dominate

According to information reported by Hits Daily Double, Lil Uzi Vert is now projected to sell 165K in the first week. Although this is very respectable, it’s still kind of low for an album poised to take the top spot. Either way, this is very much a win for the genre as a whole. Wallen will finally be dethroned, all while Uzi’s comeback album gets to top the charts. Hopefully, albums like Pink Friday 2 and UTOPIA can also find their way to the top of the charts.

If one thing is for sure, it’s that there are a lot of great albums on the horizon right now. Let us know your thoughts on Pink Tape, in the comments section down below. Additionally, be sure to keep it locked to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed.

Young Thug’s Updated First Week Sales Projections Drop

Young Thug’s new album Business Is Business has been one of the most talked about releases of 2023 so far. Much of that has to do with his current situation in the ongoing YSL RICO trial. Many expected that public drama to turn into big sales numbers for Thugger. An earlier projection expected the album to sell around 110k in its first week. That debut would have made it the second biggest debut for a rap album this year behind Lil Durk who did 125k in his first week. Now, an updated projection has dropped the album’s expected sales down to just 87k.

That is a VERY significant drop in sales for Young Thug. Part of what makes that so interesting is how close it brings him to fellow YSL rapper Gunna. Gunna’s new album a Gift & a Curse debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and sold 85k in its first week. The two albums have frequently been compared following Gunna’s reported snitching as a part of his YSL plea deal. Some saw Gunna’s 85k as underwhelming since it’s Gunna’s lowest debut yet. Now, Young Thug seems to be headed for similar numbers with his new album.

Young Thug’s Sales Dip

One way Young Thug could swing the narrative of the album’s dip in sales is by having a hit song. The track that seems to have the most potential for that is “Oh U Went” with Drake. Just this morning video his social media of Drake filming a music video for the song in Memphis.

The original projection for Business Is Business saw Young Thug challenging for the #1 spot on the Billboard 200. Country singer Morgan Wallen has owned the top spot with his album One Thing At A Time for months. Now with the updated sales projection, he’s expected to remain on top for at least another week. No rapper has debuted at #1 on the chart in 2023, largely because of Wallen’s dominance. What do you think of Young Thug’s updated sales figures? Let us know in the comment section below.

Lil Durk “Almost Healed” Projected For Big First Week

It’s been a big couple of weeks for Lil Durk. In May, he pre-empted the release of his upcoming album by dropping “All My Life ft. J. Cole”. That single did numbers, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been streamed, at the time of writing, nearly 60 million times. Furthermore, “All My Life” is out-streaming NBA YoungBoy’s Richest Opp by more than double.

However, what people were really looking forward to was Durk’s eighth studio album, Almost Healed. It would be Durk’s first album since March 2022’s 7220, which went platinum and spent two non-consecutive weeks at number one. Furthermore, both of Durk’s last two albums have gone platinum and his last three albums have peaked in the top-2. Safe to say, there were big expectations for Almost Healed. With the international charts published before Billboard, Almost Healed‘s best performance is currently in Norway, where it peaked at #10.

“Almost Healed” Is A Smash Hit

According to DJ Akademiks, Almost Healed sold 124,000 units in its first week. That’s a major success, especially compared to Richest Opp, which sold somewhere in the region of 58,000 units in its first week. While that number will be more than enough to put Almost Healed in the top 3, the question will be if it is enough to take the top spot. Morgan Wallen’s One Day At A Time has absolutely dominated the Billboard Album 200. The album has held the #1 spot for 12 weeks at the time of writing. Ironically, one of the tracks on Almost Healed has Morgan Wallen as a featured artist. Overall, Almost Healed features eight collaborations.

Furthermore, the top 5 is currently filled with a number of chart stalwarts. SZA’s SOS is currently at #2 and has been in the charts for 24 weeks. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s Midnights (31 weeks) and Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album (124 weeks) occupy #3 and #4. The only newcomer from last week to the top five is The Dave Matthews Band’s Walk Around The Moon. It remains to be seen if Lil Durk can become the first new artist to snag the #1 spot since mid-March. Follow all the latest music news here at HotNewHipHop.
