Spotify Wrapped: Lil Durk Angers User By Taking Over Her Round-Up Despite Not Streaming Him

Lil Durk’s distinct sound isn’t for everyone, but those who love the Chicago native consistently go hard for him. Unfortunately, amid Spotify Wrapped season, the 7220 artist is facing accusations of using streaming farms to boost his numbers after an angry content creator revealed that he completely took over her annual round-up despite her never personally listening to his music from her account. “I am literally so mad right now,” the young woman ranted while sitting in her car.

“Whoever hacked into my Spotify account and listened to Lil Durk for 21,000 f**king hours this year, I hope you rot,” she continued, moving closer to the camera as her rage builds. “You have ruined my entire life!” According to her story, she woke up earlier this week eager to reflect on her year in music but was sadly disappointed when the results didn’t match her expectations. “All I listen to is like, Noah Kahn, and like, Taylor Swift, Just some cute granola stuff with a little bit of SZA sprinkled in there,” the OP explained her usual taste.

Lil Durk Comes Through with a Christmas Surprise

Through tears, she continues, “I wake up this morning to all my top songs, and my only artist being Lil f**king Durk!” At the top of the list is “All My Life” featuring J. Cole, followed by more new titles from the 31-year-old’s Almost Healed album. “I thought I logged into the wrong account like I don’t know. This is not me!” Now that the clip is circulating on social media, others are sharing their similar experiences after allegedly having “some dude in Ukraine” taking over their profile.

Lil Durk may have made several non-consensual appearances on the playlists of Spotify users in 2023, but he still couldn’t top the numbers done by Drake. Thanks to the release of his For All The Dogs album, not to mention his It’s All A Blur Tour, the 6ix God racked up over 11 billion streams on the streaming platform alone. Kanye West Is Attempting To Buy Out Lil Durk’s Label Contract: Details

Kanye West and Lil Durk have not given us much material together. However, when they have, it has been special. One of those moments landed on Ye’s 2021 record, Donda. “Jonah,” one of the more emotionally deep cuts on the record, was certainly a slept-on moment in the tracklist. Then, of course, we have one of the most controversial songs of the year, “Vultures.” Some people are vibing with it, while others are disappointed in the final product. It is due mostly because of Kanye’s most talked about bar on the single.

How I’m anti-Semitic? I just fucked a Jewish b****,” has been the talk of the town. The track was also getting a lot of people upset due to the fact that Durk was left off on the initial release. The Chicago drill rapper was pretty upset about it, according to Revolt. He said on an Instagram Story, “Be lucky I’m humble. Look at it as your blessing.” While some were mad at Kanye for not including Durk, we now have more background as to why. Durk’s label, Alamo Records, has had issues with the GOOD Music label before.

Would You Be Down For More Kanye And Durk?

In fact, it dates back to when Durk was going to release a Kanye-assisted version of Almost Healed. Because of this, it seems that Ye is looking to buy out his Chicago friend’s contract. According to TMZ Hip Hop, Alamo Records CEO, Todd Moscowitz, also refused to clear an additional track this is going to be Kanye’s next album, assumedly with Ty Dolla $ign. Revolt says there has not been much movement in getting this done at the moment. However, if this does go through, we could get tons of new music from these two.

What are your initial thoughts on Kanye West looking to buy out Lil Durk’s contract with Alamo Records? Do you think this will get done? Did Lil Durk React To Being Cut From Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s “Vultures” Song?

LilDurk1

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign recently unveiled their new single titled “Vultures. And while fans are in a frenzy over new music from Kanye, what’s interesting is the fact that Lil Durk’s verse was left off the final project.

“Vultures” was first debuted last week on the radio airwaves in Chicago, featuring a standout verse from Chicago rapper Lil Durk. When the song was released on streaming platforms, it featured a verse from Bump J, but nothing from the “All My Life” rapper.

Posting to his 15.5 million followers on Instagram, Lil Durk posted a message to his Story stating “Be lucky I’m humble. Look at it as your blessing.” While there’s no real confirmations whether it was in response to “Vultures,” fans are sure speculating it was.

While Ye or Ty$ haven’t spoken on the matter, fans complained that Durk made the song what it was. One user on Twitter wrote: “Why did kanye get rid of the durk verse. That was the best part of the song.”

Another user said: “Crazy that Lil Durk got kicked off Kanye West’s Vultures even tho he carried and had the best verse.”

However, regardless if Durk was on the record or not, “Vultures” wasn’t received without controversy. The lyrics itself saw Ye addressing his antisemitic accusations, as he raps, “How I’m antisemitic? I just fucked a Jewish bitch.”

Interesting, given he’s received much backlash over his comments about Jews and Hitler.

Kanye West Premieres New Song “Vultures” Ft. Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, And Bump J

Renowned rap icon Kanye West has made a return to the music scene with his latest track, “Vultures,” featuring collaborations with Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, and Bump J. DJ Pharris exclusively premiered the song during his Friday night show on Chicago’s Power 92 radio station, marking a highly anticipated comeback for the artist. In fact, “Vultures” is Ye’s first song in a minute. As fans might recall, Kanye faced severe backlash for his series of antisemitic comments and messages on social media. He previously has made inflammatory statements, including threatening to go “death con 3 on Jewish people,” referencing a “Jewish underground media mafia,” and expressing controversial admiration for Hitler on InfoWars, asserting that he can perceive some positive qualities in the historical figure.

Moreover, the release of “Vultures” is poised to reignite controversy. The track showcases West’s unapologetic approach, as he addresses the previous controversy head-on through provocative lyrics. One notable line includes, “How am I antisemitic? I just f**ked a Jewish b**ch.” The song’s debut on Power 92 adds an extra layer of significance, given Kanye’s deep ties to Chicago, his hometown. DJ Pharris’s platform provided the perfect stage for the unveiling of “Vultures,” creating a buzz among fans and industry insiders alike. Other standout lyrics include, “I just f**ked Scooter’s b**ch and we ran up like Olympics. Got pregnant in the threesome, so whose baby is it? Who’s baby is it?”

Kanye Premiered The Song On A Chicago Radio Station

“Vultures” not only marks Kanye’s musical comeback but also highlights his ability to collaborate with other prominent artists. Ty Dolla Sign and Lil Durk’s contributions add a dynamic element to the track, showcasing a blend of diverse talents within the rap genre. Moreover, Kanye has been reportedly in Saudi Arabia working on this album. The joint project with Ty Dolla Sign still doesn’t have an official release date either, but at least we have one song for now to hold us over.

As the industry eagerly awaits the full release of the collab album, Kanye West’s return to the spotlight is undoubtedly accompanied by a renewed sense of anticipation and speculation. The controversial nature of his recent lyrics will likely fuel discussions and debates within both the music community and the broader public. However, this further solidifying Kanye’s status as a provocative and polarizing figure in contemporary rap.

“Smurk Carter” laces otherworldly synths with boisterous horns and a thumping bassline. Durk’s unmistakable vocals practically put the beat in a headlock as he drops distinctive bars with an anthemic and introspective hook, “Money is the root of all evil, Smurk I mean Durk be in the trenches with his people.” In a moment of raw reflection, he exhales a sigh, “‘Cursed’ I mean hurt that they just taking all my people.” In the cinematic visual directed by Jerry ProductionDurk links up with friends and family as the music video opens up with Durk’s uncle as the voice intro and cameo appearance. The mood undeniably resembles an ode to Lil Wayne’s Carter/Carter II era Lil Wayne as Durk pays homage through the imagery.

In other big news, Durk just snagged a GRAMMY® Award nomination for “All My Life” [feat. J. Cole]. At the 2024 ceremony, he will compete for “Best Melodic Rap Performance. Stay tuned for more.

The original “All My Life” picked up a platinum certification, soared to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, reeled in over half-a-billion streams in addition to 124 million YouTube views on the music video, and reached #1 at Rhythm and Urban Radio for consecutive weeks. Not to mention, it vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Rhythmic Chart and at Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.

Lil Durk released his critically acclaimed blockbuster album, Almost Healed , earlier this year. Nearing half-a-billion streams, Almost Healed, marked his fourth consecutive Top 3 debut on the Billboard 200 and third straight #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

Durk shows no signs of stopping or slowing down though.

Lil Durk Adopts A Lil Wayne Flow On “Smurk Center”

Lil Durk has never been on the same track with Lil Wayne. However, this song could change that moving forward. Honestly, it is quite surprising that both of them have not worked together. It feels like their styles could mesh very well. But alas we do not have one yet. However, with “Smurk Center” out, maybe this will get Weezy’s attention.

We say that because if you take a listen to Durk’s new song, it is fairly clear who he was inspired by for it. Even the inflection in his voice has hints of the Louisiana rapper in it. The biggest nod has to come from the flow, though. There is something about the cadence that just evokes classic Wayne.

We got word that Lil Durk would be coming out with this track two days ago, on November 8. He did so at a SiriusXM + Pandora Playback event. We are still awaiting the release of the deluxe version of Almost Healed. This could be the first look at it. However, we do not have a release date yet, but he did announce it would be coming back in August.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Lil Durk, “Smurk Center?” Is this the best song that he has put out in 2023? Did he make Lil Wayne proud with the flow he used? J. Cole Claims He Doesn’t Charge For Guest Verses

A J. Cole feature can mean a lot for any song these days. Two huge hits on the Hot 100 this year sport guest verses from the veteran rapper. He teamed up with Lil Durk for one of the longest-running rap hits of the year “All My Life.” He also recently scored his first number-one hit on the Hot 100 by teaming up with Drake on the track “First Person Shooter.” He’s lent legendary guest verses to Young Thug, 6LACK, JID, 21 Savage, Summer Walker, and many more.

You’d think that kind of success would mean his guest spots came at a high price. But Cole revealed in a new interview that he doesn’t actually charge anything for his features. He was asked about a bar he spit once where he claimed he’s paid $2000 per word for his features. But he clarified that it was just a lyric and that “I don’t even charge n*ggas for the verse.” In the comments, fans reacted to the revelation. “Ain’t no way he gave that Durk and yatchy verse for free He th real one fr,” one of the top comments reads. Check out the interview clip and various fan reactions below.

Lil Durk Flexes Louis Vuitton Outfit Worth $40K

Lil Durk’s come a long way from underground drill credibility to hip-hop superstardom, and you can tell by how he carries himself as a figure. Moreover, he is pretty well-known for his style, or at least his affinity for luxury clothing, items, and an overall cash-heavy lifestyle. However, maybe some of the Chicago MC’s fans didn’t expect for him to be the type of person to blow $40K on an outfit. But it’s clear from a recent video that he’ll do anything to get the drip he wants, and definitely knows how to rock it with a lot of confidence. Furthermore, The Voice showed off a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look that cost him 40 racks, and we can’t blame him for wanting to show it off.

For example, from a pure fashion standpoint, this looks pretty nice: it’s color-coordinated, subtle from afar, but very extravagant upon closer inspection. Lil Durk’s LV overalls and bucket hat are covered in jewels that shine as bright as his many heavy chains. With simple white sneakers and a white T-shirt to top it off, he actually came through with a pretty nice look… even if it’s a bit over-the-top for such an uncomplicated vision. Regardless, this is what the “Pelle Coat” rapper wore to the Morehouse & Spellman College Homecoming on Thursday (October 25) in Atlanta, Georgia to shine on the crowd.

Lil Durk’s $40K Louis Vuitton Look: See It For Yourself

From previous live performances, we already know that he often brings some solid style to the stage. For example, Lil Durk recently held another installment in the Amazon Music Live series alongside Machine Gun Kelly, during which his Chicago sweatshirt repped for his city. In addition, he surprised fans at Chi-Town’s Soldier Field with a halftime show along with local children. The 31-year-old often puts on pretty special live spectacles, whether it’s for his style, his stage presence, or his in-the-moment raps.

Meanwhile, what would you rate Smurk’s fit out of ten? Was this a proper look for the standards of Louis Vuitton or did he miss the mark on some things? In any case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Durk.
