In a story captured and reposted by the No Jumper account, Durk says the streets have changed. “The streets not the same nomo,” said the rapper. “Everybody ain’t to be called bro or family.” It’s unclear why Lil Durk posted the message. However many in the comments seemed to agree with him. Interestingly, the rapper recently seemed to have made a new friend in collaborator Morgan Wallen. The two collaborated on a track for Durk’s album. After the release, it appeared that the two went fishing together. “Durk done pulled up and taught me how to fish,” Wallen wrote. Dirk might be having some trust issues, but the rapper’s fans are willing to make a lifelong commitment to him.

Almost Healed has garnered such a strong reception that certain fans have decided to permanently ink themselves with the album’s cover art. While some may view this decision as extreme, others perceive it as a meaningful gesture. Lil Durk explored nature over the holiday weekend. Hitting the state of Tennessee, Durkio linked with country star Morgan Wallen to go fishing. Durk and Wallen recently collaborated on the Almost Healed album.

Durk shared an image with Wallen holding freshly caught fish. “Family is family can’t nothing change that p.s I’m done wit fish,” Durk wrote on Instagram.

“Durk done pulled up and taught me how to fish,” Wallen wrote in a separate post.

Lil Durk will fall just short of the No. 1 spot. Almost Healed is projected to bring in between 125,000 and 150,000 first-week units but land at No 2.

HITS Daily Double notes this will be the rapper’s sixth top 10 album and his 11th to hit the Billboard 200. The No. 1 spot goes to Taylor Swift bringing in 225-275K units with the deluxe edition of her Midnights album.

Quando Rondo Taunts Lil Durk Over “Nerd” Diss To Lul Tim

The beef between Lil Durk and Quando Rondo is far more serious and damaging than your typical MC feuds. An affiliate of Rondo’s, Lul Tim, shot and killed the Chicago rapper’s friend King Von, an event that would go on to shape Durk’s rivalries. During a conversation with DJ Akademiks on the Off The Record, he spoke on the shooting “that changed everybody’s lives irreparably,” and sent shots at the aforementioned peers. “Yeah, that s**t f***ed everybody up, boy, when a real gangsta get took out by a nerd type,” he said of Tim, adding that Quando is a “little boy.”

However, Quando Rondo caught wind of this, and came through on Twitter with his response to Lil Durk’s most recent shots. “The Nerds Got 7 Of ‘Em Last Year Urkkkk….” the Savannah, Georgia artist posted on the social media platform. Furthermore, discussion around that statement split into people commenting on the feud and lamenting that these battles resulted in lost lives and pained families. Neither side is exempt from those issues, and many believe that airing these things out for social media clout is disrespectful. “This ‘war’ a whole clown show. Ppl died for these goofy tweets and weak bars,” one fan expressed.

Quando Rondo’s Response To Lil Durk

Sure, some tracks like “Sad Songs” caught some ridicule online, but the project is filled with deeper introspections on dark street themes, mental health, and personal struggle. However, this track featuring 21 Savage is not for that, as it’s yet another hard-hitting and aggressive offering in his catalog. Moreover, “War Bout It” is one of a few standout collaborations on the album’s tracklist, and it’s one that’s right up the feature’s alley. That’s due to the eerie, sharp, and dramatic production courtesy of none other than Metro Boomin.

While this track is nothing new or particularly surprising from this trio, it does an effective job of providing one of the more villainous moments on Almost Healed. For starters, there’s a textbook Metro beat: crisp drum patterns and timbres, menacing synth pads in the background, elegant and embellished piano leads, and haunting vocal samples. Of course, 21 Savage can ride a beat from the St. Louis legend with his eyes closed, and his flows display that skill aptly. His verse, the second and last on the track, focuses on his untouchable status and speaking down on minions who think themselves to be moguls. There’s not much more you can ask for from the Atlanta spitter these days; even if it’s more of the same, there’s a quality standard to keep.

Whether it’s Future, 21 Savage, or Morgan Wallen, Smurk put together a concise but exciting set of guest appearances. One of the most notable comes courtesy of Juice WRLD, who appears on the track “Cross The Globe.” Of course, as expected with a Juice appearance, it comes with a somber weight, and not much is known on how this specific song came about regarding his tragically cut-short time on this planet. Regardless, it’s still a compelling albeit loose collab.

For one, topically the two Chicago MCs focus on much of the same: sex, drugs, and street violence. Still, the eerie guitar-led beat gives the track a melancholy feel to it, accentuated by their understated vocal deliveries. One of hip-hop’s most popular internet memes returned to the spotlight recently thanks to an episode of Succession that fans think recreated it. But in all this time, no one can truly say exactly what Lil Durk and Young Thug were looking at on that computer screen, despite fans’ best efforts to find out.

And, according to Durk, that’s exactly how it’s going to stay until Thugger gives him the okay to reveal it.

During his recent interview with DJ Akademiks for the Off The Record podcast, Durk revealed he’s under strict orders not to tell anybody what was on the monitor. “He told me not to tell nobody,” Durk said in response to Akademiks’ question about its contents. “That’s how you know we won’t snitch on each other,” Durk confirmed.

Durk certainly had some thoughts on that count regarding Thug’s ongoing racketeering case. After opining that his longtime collaborator is being “left to the wolves,” he criticized Thug’s YSL artist Gunna for accepting an Alford plea deal, insisting that Gunna “told” despite the nature of such pleas and Gunna’s own insistence that he’s not a “snitch.”

While Durkio made it abundantly clear that he believes Gunna snitched on his co-defendants, he simultaneously showed plenty of love to Young Thug.

“If you a rat, I f*cking hate you. Because I love Thug,” the father of six told Ak amid his rant about Gunna. Elsewhere, the host brought up the famous photo from 2018 in which Durk watches on in amazement while the So Much Fun hitmaker seriously works on the computer in front of them during a studio session. “What the f*ck was y’all looking at?” Akademiks asked his guest.

Lil Durk Discusses Young Thug Meme from 2018

Smurk responded, “He told me not to tell nobody.” To this, the embattled blogger cracked a joke, “That’s the same thing he said. Y’all must have been watching some porn.” Rather than deny the rumours, the 7220 artist pointed out that it’s clear that he and Thugger have a seriously strong bond. “That’s how you know we won’t snitch on each other,” Durk declared.

As HipHopDX notes, the multi-talent publicly spoke about the photo in 2020, tweeting that the YSL leader “showed him $20 million.” The pair has made plenty of magic in the studio together before with Young Thug helping out with two tracks on his pal’s 2016 I’m Up project.
