The case of Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan has been a vague, shocking, and certainly contentious one. Moreover, accusations against them of sexual assault, trafficking, and abuse shook the pop culture world, splitting people into staunch deniers and unsurprised critics who already expressed disgust at their online behavior and often misogynistic and bigoted worldview. Still, the case itself doesn’t make it any easier to navigate. Furthermore, the two were held under investigation in prison for a couple of months before an official indictment and set of charges came through. As such, even for those in strong opposition to their actions, their court process has been a murky one.

However, now they are both free to roam wherever they want (as long as it’s within Romania), as a judge ruled in favor of their appeal to end their house arrest. They both took to “X” (formerly Twitter) to express their joy- and try to incite detractors in the process. “After 10 months. 3 in jail, 7 at home,” Andrew Tate wrote, although if we count it since his December arrest, it’s been about eight months in total, but let’s not get lost in details. “After 15 million euro of asset seizures. After an [indictment] based on nothing. The file was passed to a Judge who has ruled it weak and circumstantial. I have been released from house arrest but must remain within Romania. Now. To the Mosque. Alhamdulillah.”

Andrew & Tristan Tate Celebrate (Slight) Freedom

“Judges have release me from house arrest,” Tristan Tate expressed in his own tweet. “It doesn’t matter how many fake screenshots haters share on X. Imagine having spent 2 years running an account showing old videos saying I’m ‘guilty.’ Losers. Justice is justice. The law is the law. Evidence is evidence. I am free.”

Meanwhile, this case is far from over, with a trial on the way after a full indictment. Andrew Tate Leaves House Arrest After Successful Appeal

Andrew Tate has been granted some freedom as he awaits trial on charges of rape and human trafficking in Romania. The kickboxer and lifestyle influencer was released from the house arrest that he has been held under since March. That came after Tate was arrested in December 2022 in connection to a human trafficking investigation. Tate’s brother Tristan and two Romanian women were also arrested. Tate was formally charged with counts of human trafficking and rape in June.

While Tate will now be able to leave the large house he owns outside the Romanian capital of Bucharest, he is not entirely a free man. Tate is still confined to the borders of Romania. Furthermore, he is not allowed to be “in close proximity with any of the other defendants, any of the witnesses or any of the alleged victims and their immediate family.” That stipulation was reported by Mateea Petrescu, Tate’s spokesperson.

Tate Proclaims Innocence

Speaking outside his home, Tate used the opportunity to once again proclaim his innocence. “We’ve been completely innocent since the beginning of this. In January when I was thrown in a jail cell, the media reported and told the world I was a terrible person. They said that I hurt people and that I make a lot of money from criminal enterprises,” he said. “And here we stand seven or eights month later and I’ve not seen a single victim on the news. I’ve seen lots of people sticking up for me, lots of people defending me and I’ve not seen a single person stand up and say that I have hurt them.”

This is a stark contrast to claims Tate has formerly made. Tate once called his own NSFW camming business a “total scam” and said that he used it to lure women into falling in love with him. Furthermore, Tate has previously said that he moved to Romania in 2017 in part to avoid criminal charges he was facing in the UK. Additionally, Tate all but praised corruption in the Romanian legal system as reducing his chances of facing additional criminal charges. The status of Tate’s trial remains unclear. However, it’s believed that it will start later this year.

Today, Blueface celebrated getting his ankle monitor removed on social media. He shared an Instagram story of the device being removed, also writing, “I’m off the leash.” The rapper recently pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge and a felony charge of shooting a gun into an occupied vehicle related to a Las Vegas shooting. The clip comes after Blueface alleged that he was only on house arrest because he covered for Chrisean Rock.

“I’m only on house arrest cuz I took all the charges for Rock,” he wrote, “Y you think their is no warrant for her arrest. For those unaware, authorities arrested him on accusations of robbery after an altercation occurred between him, Rock, and a female fan. Elsewhere on his social media page, the California rapper said that he actually has paperwork to back his claims up, posting an excerpt online. Considering his alleged feelings of regret over the relationship, his attacks on her seem conflicted at best and insincere at worst.

The saga of Andrew Tate has been one that has loomed large in recent months. The lifestyle influencer and former kickboxer gained controversy for his lavish lifestyle and misogynistic views. These included comments about women belonging “in the home” and tenants of his lifestyle course that call for women to be subservient.

Tate was arrested in December 2022 in Romania, where he had resided since 2017. Tate, his brother, and two women were taken in custody. The quartet was reportedly being held in connection to a human trafficking investigation that was linked to Tate and his webcam live-streaming business. Andrew Tate was moved to house arrest on March 31, after spending the past two months in a Romanian prison. At that time, his detention had been extended for a fourth time. It also included a third denial of bail for Tate. Scheduled to appear in court again on April 21, Tate tweeted “Court in an hour. I trust god because he knows best. Maybe I need more hell. Send me to jail.” Religion has often been an important pillar of Tate’s life. He has previously identified as Christian, atheist, Christian again, and Eastern Orthodox. One of his most viral moments pre-arrest came when he visited a mosque in Dubai last year.

It appears that God heard his prayer, as Tate’s house arrest was extended for another 30 days. This prompted another tweet from Tate, accompanied by a video of him pacing around his house smoking a cigar. “30 more days on house arrest. 30 more days suppressed. Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been reportedly released from Romanian jail, and are now on house arrest. Moreover, news broke that the two successfully appealed against extending their preventative arrest by 30 more days during a hearing on Wednesday (March 29). However, it seems that the two are now officially out of Romanian custody and placed on house arrest for an indefinite time as of writing this article. For those unaware, both men are under investigation for running a sex trafficking ring, as well as abuse.

Furthermore, this is the sixth time the Tate brothers and their legal team tried to appeal their preventative arrest. All previous efforts proved unsuccessful, and it’s unclear what went differently this time around. Still, they both posted cryptic messages to their social media accounts hinting at upcoming freedom. “Friday. InshaAllah,” both tweeted. Last month, Baby Blue from the millennial R&B group was granted an early prison release for fraud charges, but now he’s announced that he’s been taken off of house arrest

Blue was originally sentenced to 20 months behind bars for a multi-million dollar PPP scam and turned himself into federal authorities in February 2022. After serving only a year of his time, he was released and placed on house arrest. Now, a month later, he’s been taken off that restriction.

Blue announced via Instagram, “Just cut em off ✂ If they was in your circle and ain’t hold you down when you was going thru it… If they aint hold you down when you needed to be picked up… Cut em off like I just cut off this ankle monitor! 🤬😤🥶 #BiggMoneyBlue back in Motion!”
