Chandler Jones Released By Raiders After Vegas Arrest

Chandler Jones has officially been released by the Raiders following his arrest earlier this week. “[We are] hopeful that Chandler Jones receives the care that he needs. He, his family, and all those involved are in our thoughts,” Raiders said in a statement. Jones, a first-round pick in 2012, was in the second year of a three-year contract with the Raiders. However, he had been away from the team since Labor Day Weekend and had alleged malpractice on the part of senior team officials. In a series of tweets, Jones accused owner Mark Davis of covering for an unnamed individual who had allegedly molested Jones’ goddaughter.

Jones’ arrest around midnight on Friday came after a turbulent series of posts on social media. After a livestream in which he burst into tears after saying Aaron Hernandez didn’t kill himself, Jones shared a positive interaction with Antonio Brown before leaving social media to go to a strip club. He was reportedly arrested for violating a domestic violence protective order and posted bond later on Friday. He is reportedly due back in court on December 4.

Jones Alleges Forced Hospitalization

Meanwhile, it’s been a wild week in the Chandler Jones saga. It all began with Jones claiming that he had undergone a forced hospitalization. In journal entries posted to X, Jones recounted his ordeal. He claims to have been taken from his open by a group of firemen and injected with an unknown substance in the back of an ambulance. From there, he was taken to Southern Hills Hospital and later transferred to Seven Hills Behavioral Health Hospital. Jones reportedly refused medications and was not told why he had been hospitalized.

Furthermore, Jones alleged that he had called Raiders GM Dave Zeigler “6 to 7 times asking for help and I wondered if he had me put in here, but he never answered.” Jones has claimed that he is simply seeking answers about the behavior exhibited by the Raiders. “I’m still confused on what I did wrong. I’m stuck here, I’m very sane, I’m to strong of a person to be mentally broken.” The Raiders, LVFD, and LVPD all declined to comment on the situation.

Polo G & Family Bail Out Of Prison On Felony Charges After Police Raid: Report

Authorities reportedly released Polo G and his brother from prison on bond, and got felony charges following a Wednesday (August 23) police raid on the Chicago rapper’s home. Moreover, his mother also clarified that they released his sister as well, and she announced that Polo and his sibling Taurean came home. Both had a $100,000 bail, left jail on Thursday (August 24), and have upcoming court dates on September 12 and 13, respectively. However, after officials finished the raid, police arrested them on Wednesday for several felonies, according to TMZ Hip Hop. These include kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and robbery, and they bonded out the following day. In addition, on Wednesday, the Hall Of Fame MC’s lawyer Bradford Cohen spoke to XXL about these developments.

“The incident surrounded someone staying in Polo’s home and not Polo directly,” he remarked to the publication. “The officers have detained [Polo G] to ‘verify’ that he is not a convicted [criminal], as they assert a firearm was found in the home. It is widely known that Polo is not convicted and never was convicted. I personally got all his charges in Miami dismissed when he was in our opinion wrongfully arrested and charged. They have refused to allow us access to our client which is also an illegal and unethical practice and someone will have to answer for these new wrongful actions.”

Polo G’s Mother Announces His & His Brother’s Release From Prison

Furthermore, Cohen referred to an earlier 2021 incident with this statement. Authorities arrested Polo G in Miami and faced charges of “battery on a police officer, threatening a public servant, resisting an officer with violence, resisting an officer without violence, and criminal mischief.” Regarding the robbery charges, it seems authorities were concerned that he was harboring a fugitive, and other reports suggested that the robbery fugitive in question was Taurean. “Polo, Leilani, and Baby are detained,” his mother had written on social media. “An active investigation is taking place… To my knowledge, Polo is not the object / focus of the investigation. I am hopeful that the LAPD will handle this matter with tact and transparency. I will update you all as time permits.”

Polo’s Sister Speaks Out After Prison Release

Meanwhile, this threw a wrench into the 24-year-old’s release rollout, although more clicks can’t hurt. His upcoming album Hood Poet may be his last, and it’s unclear if this legal case will impact it significantly. Hopefully he’s able to sort all this out and authorities can get a clearer image of who’s at fault. On that note, keep checking in with HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Polo G.

Dalvin Cook Set To Be Released By Minnesota Vikings

Dalvin Cook has been a cornerstone of the Minnesota Vikings’ offense since 2017. Drafted in the second round out of Florida State, Cook saw minimal action in his rookie year due to an ACL tear. However, in 2018, he led the team in rushing yards despite only playing in 11 games. What followed was one of the most productive careers by an active running back. Between 2019 and 2022, Cook had five consecutive 1100-yard seasons on the ground. Furthermore, he is the Vikings’ third all-time leading rusher, only trailing Adrian Peterson and Robert Smith.

However, Cook’s future has been uncertain as of late. While he put up 1173 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2022, it was his worst year in regard to advanced metrics. Furthermore, his $14.1 million cap hit would be detrimental to the Vikings’ attempt to build a younger squad capable of contending in the NFC. While his status has remained in limbo for some time, it appears that Vikings fans now have an answer.

Vikings Will Release Cook

According to The NFL Network‘s Tom Pelissero, the Vikings will be releasing Cook. It marks the end of an era, and a distinctive shift for the team. Releasing Cook frees up $9 million in cap space and moves Alexander Mattison to the top of the running back depth chart. Mattison is a 2019 third-round pick who had 283 rushing yards last season. He leads a core that also includes C.J. Ham, 2023 draftee DeWayne McBride, and Ty Chandler.

It’s likely that the Vikings will employ a rush-by-committee approach to the ground game while heavily shifting the offense to focus on their receivers. That core is anchored by Justin Jefferson, who led the league in receiving yards last year, and first-round draft pick Jordan Addison. Furthermore, the changing of the guard that began with Dalvin Cook could eventually spread to veteran QB Kirk Cousins, who is in a do-or-die contract year. Cook will likely find another home in the NFL before the season begins. However, the four-time Pro Bowler will no longer suit up in the purple of the frozen north. Andrew Tate Released From Jail, On House Arrest

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been reportedly released from Romanian jail, and are now on house arrest. Moreover, news broke that the two successfully appealed against extending their preventative arrest by 30 more days during a hearing on Wednesday (March 29). However, it seems that the two are now officially out of Romanian custody and placed on house arrest for an indefinite time as of writing this article. For those unaware, both men are under investigation for running a sex trafficking ring, as well as abuse.

Furthermore, this is the sixth time the Tate brothers and their legal team tried to appeal their preventative arrest. All previous efforts proved unsuccessful, and it’s unclear what went differently this time around. Still, they both posted cryptic messages to their social media accounts hinting at upcoming freedom. “Friday. InshaAllah,” both tweeted. In fact, they remained active on the platform throughout their arrest, so their incarceration failed to hamper their perspective online. Of course, it still faced a wave of backlash and criticism, and their testimonies certainly don’t help their public image surrounding this case.

Andrew Tate & Brother Are Free From Romanian Custody

Along with Andrew and Tristan, two other Romanian women faced jail time for the alleged crimes. While no one involved faces any real charges as of yet, the investigation into them proved fruitful and thorough. Many alleged details surfaced in the weeks and months following their December arrest, such as them allegedly branding women with “Owned by Tate” markers. In addition, police seized multiple luxury assets including cars, watches, and other property. On that note, raids of property and deeper investigations into their practices followed suit as they remained behind bars.

With all this in mind, it’s hard to predict or know what will come of this house arrest. For the Tate brothers, part of their mission online served to maintain their voice to those who support them. For the rest of the world, it simply added another layer to more pressing information about their alleged crimes that still haven’t seen the light of day. Regardless, their views and rhetoric, both during and in the aftermath of their case, likely won’t seek to reconcile their hateful attitudes or right their previous wrongs. 6ix9ine Associate & Chief Keef Shooter Kooda B Released From Prison

Kooda B was just released from prison, a rapper and former 6ix9ine associate who shot at Chief Keef some years ago. Moreover, it seems he served a portion of his 54-month sentence he received back in December of 2020. According to Complex, his sentence also included three years of supervised release and previously received temporary release on $300,000 earlier in the year due to concerns of COVID-19 given his asthma. Furthermore, he pleaded guilty in 2019 to assault with a deadly weapon in the name of racketeering for the 2018 shooting of Chief Keef outside of the W Hotel in Times Square.

Fortunately, Keef was not harmed in the incident. Afterwards, 6ix9ine allegedly ratted Kooda out as the shooter after he admitted to offering Kooda $20,000 for the hit and paying him half. Now, Worldstar obtained a video of him leaving a correctional facility and greeting loves ones. In addition, he also took to his Instagram to share the good news. Neither Sosa nor the “FEFE” rapper have responded to this development as of writing this article.

Kooda B Released From Prison

“I’m willing to take full responsibility for my actions,” the former prisoner wrote in a court-addressed letter. ”That was an extremely foolish choice I made. I allowed myself to look up to and listen to someone with more success and fame. That was not the right thing to do, I regret it and it won’t happen again. I thought he was a good friend. I was excited that he named a song after me.” If his 54-month sentence includes time served (like his former affiliate’s did), he still saw an early release, as that timeframe would indicate an August 2024 release.

Regardless, Judge Paul Engelmayer scolded the rapper for his actions. “So let me be blunt,” he told Kooda. “You need to grow up and get a more mature perspective on gang activity. If you continue to pursue a career involving rapping and public performances, I hope you will stop romanticizing gang violence. I hope you have learned from this experience that gang violence is not something to celebrate.” Moreover, he faced up to life in prison following his original February 2019 arrest, though the sentence clearly did not reach that mark. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest on Kooda B, Chief Keef, and 6ix9ine.

Gunna Released From Jail: Hip-Hop Reacts

Gunna is no longer in jail.

In a shocking development on Wednesday, the YSL Records artist pleaded guilty to a single charge in his RICO case. According to Billboard, Gunna took an Alford plea, which allowed him to formally admit his guilt while maintaining his innocence. As a result, the 29-year-old artist was released from jail on Wednesday afternoon.

Per the terms of his release, Gunna was sentenced to five years with one year to serve in prison, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. However, his time was reportedly commuted to time served and 500 hours of community service. All in all, it looks like a win for Gunna, but naturally, some fans have become skeptical of his release. However, Gunna has clarified that he was not flipped into a witness.

“When I became affiliated with YSL in 2016, I did not consider it a “gang”; more like a group of people from metro Atlanta who had common interests and artistic aspirations,” Gunna said in a statement. “My focus of YSL was entertainment – rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and “glorified” urban life in the Black community.”

He continued, saying, “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”

As a result, several Hip-Hop artists and industry professionals hit social media to react joyously to the news about Gunna.
