Drake Surprised Fans By Announcing A SZA Collaboration As The Next Single From ‘For All The Dogs’

Drake wasn’t invited to be in SZA’s “Snooze” video — those invitations were reserved for Justin Bieber, Benny Blanco, Young Mazino, and Woody McClain — but that might be because he already had something booked with her.

On Wednesday night, September 13, Drake posted more context clues about the next single from his For All The Dogs album on Instagram. The photo is of Halle Berry getting slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with a simple caption of a wide-eyed emoji and a lime green heart emoji. However, one tap on the photo reveals that SZA is tagged. SZA also posted the photo, presumably meaning she is the featured artist on the song. It appears that this is the record that Drake previously announced would drop on September 15 as the next single from For All The Dogs.

On Monday, September 11, Drake told his It’s All A Blur Tour crowd in Austin, Texas, “I know y’all are excited to hear the album. I know it’s like two weeks out, but I’m gonna drop a song this week – just to let you know what’s up.”

Drake’s For All The Dogs is due out on September 22, as he confirmed last Wednesday (September 6) via a throwback video of his father, Dennis Graham.

Last week also saw SZA treat fans to an SOS Album Celebration concert at The Navy Yard in Brooklyn, New York with the souvenir of news that she will drop a deluxe version of her perennial No. 1 SOS album sometime this fall.

Will Drake Tour After ‘For All The Dogs’ Is Released?

Drake first teased his upcoming ablum For All The Dogs in June, when Drake coyly placed QR codes in select newspapers around the release of his poetry book. As his It’s All A Blur Tour has snaked through North America, Drake continued dropping hints about the release, including the cover art drawn by his son as well as hair clips.

On September 6, Drake confirmed its September 22 release date on Instagram. Earlier this week, he announced during his tour stop in Austin, Texas that he’s “going to drop a song this week.”

Drake will celebrate the long-awaited arrival of For All The Dogs on stage, performing the first of back-to-back It’s All A Blur Tour shows at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The tour is scheduled to wrap with rescheduled shows in Denver, Colorado and New Orleans, Louisiana, but new dates have not been announced.

As of now, the last confirmed show is on October 9 in Columbus, Ohio, after back-to-back hometown shows at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on October 6 and 7. See all of the remaining dates here.

In other words, Drake will have plenty of opportunities to insert the album into his already-stacked setlist. The It’s All A Blur Tour is Drake’s first since 2018, so it’s anybody’s guess as to if he will embark on a new tour specifically in support of For All The Dogs.

Drake Becomes First Rapper to Earn $5 Million in a Single Arena Concert

This week, Drake is giving fans their first taste of For All The Dogs. While performing at the Austin, TX, tour date of the It’s All A Blur tour, Drake revealed a single will drop this week.

“I know y’all excited to hear the album, I know it’s like two weeks out, but I’ma drop a song for y’all this week just to let you know where we at,” he said.

Drake has set the For All The Dogs album for Sept. 22. Hitting Instagram on Wednesday (Sept. 6) night, Drake dropped off a video of his father performing with his band.

In the comments of the post, Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, wrote, “Awwwwwwww thank you Son 1991 Toronto Canada, seems like a hundred years ago, For All the Dogs.”

Drake Confirmed A Release Date For The First Single From ‘For All The Dogs’

Thanks to a carefully crafted hairstyle, the scheduled drop date of Drake’s forthcoming solo album, For All The Dogs, is finally known. Although the project is slated to hit online platforms on Friday, September 22 (the same day as Doja Cat’s Scarlet), Drake let it slip that he will treat fans to a sample of what the body of work has to offer soon.

Yesterday (September 11), during his It’s All A Blur Tour stop at the Moody Center, Drake shared that supporters should expect a single in the coming days. “I’m even going to say something in Austin, Texas, that I haven’t said already. I know y’all are excited to hear the album. I know it’s like two weeks. But I’m going to drop a song this week just to let y’all know what’s up… I appreciate y’all, deeply, by the way,” he told the crowd.

So far, those closest to the Grammy Award-winning rapper who has had the opportunity to hear it ahead of its release have sung its praises.

On September 7, during a taping of his podcast, A Safe Place, Lil Yachty said, “[For All The Dogs] has the most, I would say, like the most ‘performance’ album he’ll have, as far as like energy. […] I think some of the best Drake verses that I ever heard are on this album.”

Even Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, enthusiastically declared the project “some of the best music” he’s heard from his son.

The exact date of the song’s release hasn’t been announced.

Drake Reveals He’s Dropping A “For All The Dogs” Single This Week

Weeks passed by, the album cover dropped, its star kept performing, and fans were still left salivating For All The Dogs. However, we found out recently that the wait will soon be over, as Drake’s next album will drop next Friday (September 22). Not only that, but during a recent show in Austin, Texas for his It’s All A Blur tour with 21 S*vage, the OVO star revealed that he will release a single from the project this Friday (September 15). As such, it seems like we’ll finally get a chance to listen to what he has in store for fans with his second album in the past year.

“I’m even going to say something tonight in Austin, Texas I haven’t said yet,” Drake began. “I know y’all excited to hear the album. I know it’s, like two weeks out. I’ma drop a song for y’all this week. Yeah, yeah. What a time, what a time. I appreciate y’all. Deeply, by the way, I do. It’s a lot of love in Texas.” Of course, the crowd reacted with wild cheers.

What’s more is that fans started to speculate on what this new single will be: a solo cut, a banger, a ballad… or a collaboration, perhaps? As far as confirmed features on For All The Dogs, we know from Drake’s own words that Bad Bunny and Nicki Minaj will appear as guests. Other features are just speculation, although the Toronto rapper recently hinted at a possible guest on his Instagram Story. By posting a picture of him as Yeat, fans once again flooded social media with assumptions that a team-up on wax is soon to come.

Meanwhile, it’s great to hear that we’ll get at least a taste of this new phase for Drizzy, and we’ll see how new it is compared to his previous work. Apparently, it will be a return to his earlier styles, but there are plenty of signs pointing otherwise. If nothing else, this is one of the most quick but exciting album rollouts to come this year. With that in mind, log back into HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Drake.

Drake’s Son Adonis Shown Drawing “For All The Dogs” Album Cover In New Picture

One of the most anticipated albums of 2023 also has one of the most talked-about album covers, as is usually the case with Drake projects. Moreover, For All The Dogs‘ stark drawing of what might be a dog but looks more like a wolf with menacing red eyes split fans online. Some wondered how this will fit with the promised “old Drizzy” approach. On the other hand, many fans believe this minimalist artwork points to a darker sound that anticipated, which is exciting in its own right. Most interestingly, another point of slight contention is the artist behind the cover, which the 6 God said is none other than his five-year-old son, Adonis.

Furthermore, a new picture shows him working on the cover in what seems like a studio. Armed with a sculpting tool, we can see that Drake’s newest album’s cover is much larger than fans might have initially thought. This is no simple drawing on an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of paper, but rather a full piece that could fit four Adonis’. Many thought that there was no way that he actually drew this artwork, but now we have solid proof… or do we?

Adonis Working On Drake’s For All The Dogs Cover… Right?

Unfortunately for people who want to quell the haters with this pic, there’s apparently a very real chance that it’s all just an edit. The comments on the post above covering the snapshot pointed to another artist (@Cole on IG) who put this together as a mock alternate cover. As such, it seems like this might not really be Adonis drawing his father Drake’s album art, at least in this specific pic. Whether he actually designed it is still up in the air, but are people really that cynical to doubt a dad trying to share his pride and joy’s art with the world?

Regardless, the OVO mogul doesn’t even have to fabricate things to go viral; he just has to put the idea out there with vague context. For example, his most recent Instagram Story post had fans thinking that he confirmed an appearance from Yeat on his upcoming album. What he did state, though, is that Adonis made the cover, and whether this pic is real or not, who are we to doubt him? All jokes and speculation aside, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Drake Might’ve Just Teased A Yeat Collab On “For All The Dogs”

Drake’s For All The Dogs is right around the corner, but we won’t just be twiddling our thumbs waiting for it. Moreover, the 6 God isn’t done feeding fan anticipation by teasing and revealing new things about the project. Even if a lot of that work is purely speculative, none of it’s stopped die-hards from theorizing on what to expect from the album. Most recently, the Toronto MC fueled rumors of another potential collab on it, apart from confirmed appearances from Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny. None other than rage superstar Yeat might just be one of Drizzy’s dogs based on recent social media activity.

Furthermore, Drake posted a picture on his Instagram Story of a Photoshopped image of him on Yeat’s body. The 36-year-old’s eyes are all that one can identify as his own in the picture, and this made fans think that he confirmed a team-up on wax. Not only is this exciting on its own, but it’s also kind of surprising considering their wildly different styles. However, this isn’t exactly out of the blue, as the two rappers previously made their bond quite public.

Drake Potentially Teases Yeat Collab

The biggest recent example of this was Drake’s Seattle shows for his It’s All A Blur tour with 21 S*vage. Yeat actually appeared during one of these, which added to previous rumors that the two were actually getting quite close. In fact, the OVO mogul even swapped some words around during his performance of “Sticky” to shout out the Portland native’s name onstage. Even if very few can imagine what a track between them would sound like, it’s at least nice to know that the mutual respect is there.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that one of Aubrey Graham’s social media posts sparked speculation on a collab with the “bigger then everything” star. Regardless, with the album so close, this sealed the deal in many fans’ eyes. If it doesn’t end up panning out, though, comments begging for them to make something together will never cease. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Yeat and Drake.

Dennis Graham Praised Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ And Says It Has ‘Some Of The Best Music’ He’s Heard From Him

Before Drake kicked off his and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour in July, he staged an intimate “victory lap” concert at the legendary Apollo Theater in January. The It’s All A Blur Tour setlist and the Apollo show’s setlist each boast 40-plus songs, which is a roundabout way of stating the obvious: Drake has put out a lot of music.

Even so, Dennis Graham, Drake’s dad, feels comfortable in saying his son’s forthcoming For All The Dogs album will rank among Drake’s best-ever offerings.

“I had the pleasure of sitting in my Son’s dressing room and listening to this new album and I must say that it is some of the best music that I’ve heard him do, and I am sure that every Drake fan throughout the entire world is going feel this one,” Graham captioned an Instagram photo of the For All The Dogs artwork, drawn by Drake’s five-year-old son, Adonis. “Everything about For All The Dogs is what we’ve been waiting for, Congratulations Son I really feel this one.”

Drake left a comment saying, “Thanks dad [three smiley-with-sunglasses emojis] I was so happy you loved it.”

Earlier on Wednesday night, September 6, Drake confirmed September 22 as the release date for For All The Dogs with a throwback video of Graham, also known as “Cousin Dennis,” performing a cover of Albert King’s “Crosscut Saw.”

Drake’s Father Dennis Graham Says “For All The Dogs” Is Some Of His Best Music

Drake’s For All The Dogs is coming very soon, and we’ve gotten a lot of figures close to him recently sing the album’s praises. Of course, we’d never expect them not to because nobody wants to ruin the hype behind such an anticipated release. What’s more is that, from what we’ve heard and from what people are saying, this is going to be a fantastic effort from the Toronto superstar. For example, Drake’s father Dennis Graham recently took to Instagram to share his brief but promising thoughts on the new project. Even though he’s closer to him than any fan will ever be, he spoke from the perspective of a die-hard of his music regardless of relation.

“I had the pleasure of sitting in my Son’s dressing room and listening to this new album,” Dennis Graham wrote. “I must say that it is some of the best music that I’ve heard him do, and I am sure that every Drake fan throughout the entire world is going to feel this one. Everything about For All The Dogs is what we’ve been waiting for. Congratulations Son I really feel this one, September 22, 2023.”

Drake’s Dad Hypes Up For All The Dogs

What’s more is that Drake himself responded to his father’s commendation online. “Thanks dad [sunglass face emoji] I was so happy you loved it,” The Boy wrote under Dennis Graham’s post. Thanks to some recent expression from Lil Yachty, we have another idea of how good this new era will be. “It has the most, I would say like the most ‘performance’ album he’ll have, as far as like energy,” he remarked on his podcast.

“I think some of the best Drake verses that I ever heard are on this album,” Yachty continued. “Some of the verses I’m just like, ‘Bruh, what’s wrong with you?’ You know what I’m saying? People gonna have a lot to say about some of his topics on this album. And I don’t think he does it on purpose, I think it’s just him- he just has a real… I will say he deals with some controversial things.” On that note, stick around on HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Drake.

Drake’s bestie, Lil Yachty, gave an update on For All The Dogs during his latest episode of A Safe Place podcast.
