Drake And Oddly Enough His Mother Responded To Rick Ross’ Claim That The Rapper ‘Got A Nose Job’

Drake’s ongoing war of words with nearly half of rap has reached a new level of petty. Some would even consider it a full-on family affair.

Yesterday (April 13), Rick Ross released his recorded response to his past collaborator’s subtle jabs. At the end of “Champagne Moments,” Ross claimed Drake underwent a cosmetic procedure. This isn’t the first time Drake has been accused of going under the knife (hi, Megan Thee Stallion). Instead of abdominal etching or liposuction, Ross alleged that Drake “got his nose done” or rhinoplasty on the track.

So, Drake took to his Instagram stories to clap back at Ross with the help of his mother, Sandi. In a text message exchange with Mommy dearest, the pair laughed at the suggestion. When asked by his mother if there was any validation to the rumor, Drake replied: “It’s coming from the guy I did songs with. He’s gone loopy off the Mounjaro. He hasn’t eaten in days, and it’s turned him angry and racist.”

To ensure Ross saw the thread, Drake tagged him in the post. “You’re one nosey goof,” he wrote.

Given that Ross also mentioned Drake’s father, Dennis, a fiery message from Pop should be coming.

Drake’s Dad Reportedly Clapped Back At Kendrick Lamar, Future, And Metro Boomin’s Diss Song ‘Like That’

To borrow a line from Jay-Z, it’s no fun when the family feud. But it is quite interesting to watch when celebrities kinfolk get involved in public disputes.

According to Drake, Metro Boomin and Future’s diss song “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar (apparently a longtime foe) didn’t ruffle his feathers. However, the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper’s father, Dennis Graham, seems far more bothered by the remarks made on wax. To air out his frustration, the Papa Bear reportedly clapped back at the trio and Drake’s former industry friend, who has unfollowed his son online since the track’s release.

On March 25, in a now-deleted post on Instagram, Graham supposedly delivered the heat Drake’s response lacked. “Yo, I am about to drop some new music,” he sarcastically wrote. “And I am not sure if it’s going to sell, but I am going to call some of my homies and get them to start a beef with Drake and get them to unfollow him, and that’s going make my shit shoot up to number 1. I’m sure this is going to work, so let me get some people on board for this and watch what kind of attention this gets!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE NUMBER ONE 1Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Folks online are divided on Graham’s involvement. Some consider it corny. Others declare that all is fair in love and rap beef. But hey: If Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, can thumb thug it out with trolls when it comes to her superstar daughter, Graham should be granted the same parental grace.

On a positive note, Drake hit Instagram to celebrate getting his father, Dennis Graham, on the 6ix side. Hitting Instagram, Drake revealed his dad was in Canada for the first time in fifteen years.

Drake Reveals His Dad Is Allowed Back In Canada And Posts New Photo Of Dennis With Sandra Graham

Drake has always shared the love with his parents on social media. Sandi and Dennis Graham have gotten equal amounts of posts over the years. Overall, the two raised Drizzy in two different cities as he grew up. Sandi could be found in Toronto, Canada, while Dennis raised the artist in Memphis, Tennessee. In fact, for years, Dennis has not been allowed in Canada due to some legal issues. This has meant that the megastar has only been able to see his father while traveling to the United States.

Of course, this is something that can be stressful on any kid. However, it does not seem like Drake has any resentment over this fact. In fact, he is grateful about his roots in both Toronto and Memphis. That said, it seems like his two worlds are colliding for the first time in many years. While taking to his Instagram story tonight, Drizzy revealed that his father Dennis is now allowed back in Canada. In fact, Dennis celebrated by reuniting with his ex Sandi. The two could be seen with smiles on their faces.

Drake Takes To The Gram

“First time in over 15 years they let the OG back into Canada,” Drake wrote. “Thank you to everyone that helped us out.” This is not the first time the artist has aided someone in being able to travel freely. Drizzy infamously helped 21 Savage get a Green Card which eventually let him into Canada. The two were on tour together, and the rapper needed the Green Card in order to do Canadian dates. Either way, this is a momentous occasion for Drake and his family.

Dennis Graham Defends Drake’s Silence On Israel-Palestine

Drake‘s father Dennis Graham defended his son’s decision not to speak out on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine during an interview with TMZ, Sunday. Graham argued that celebrities are “damned if they do, damned if they don’t” when it comes to discussing politics. Many voices have criticized the Toronto rapper’s silence, including DJ Vlad.

“I’m sure it affects everybody, you know what I’m saying?” Graham said to the outlet. “But just stay out of it, especially if you’re somebody that’s well-known.” He continued: “But be a celebrity and favor one against the other, and it’s going to come back on you. Stay out of it.”

As for DJ Vlad’s criticism of Drake, he condemned the rapper along with DJ Khlaed in a lengthy post on Twitter, last week. He wrote: “Has anyone noticed that the most famous Jewish person on Earth, Drake, and the most famous Palestinian person on Earth, DJ Khaled, haven’t said a single thing about the Gaza-Israel conflict? It’s not like Drake is too busy. He’s been writing paragraphs about Joe Budden hurting his feelings about his new album.” He further theorized: “It’s because both are so thirsty to maintain their relevance that they wouldn’t dare risk insulting a segment of their fanbase. Heaven forbid that Drake might debut at #2 behind Taylor Swift because some of his Palestinian fans chose to not stream his album.”

Dennis Graham Comes To Drake’s Defense

It’s not the only time Graham has spoken out in defense of Drake in recent weeks. Amid Drake’s feud with Joe Budden, Graham also took his son’s side. Be on the lookout for any update on whether Drake breaks his silence on Israel and Palestine on HotNewHipHop.

Drake’s Dad Seemingly Responded On His Behalf Over The Decision To Stay Silent On The Israeli-Hamas Conflict

Drake has faced a lot of pushback recently over his latest solo album, For All The Dogs. Unfortunately, that’s not where the outrage ends. After his social media spats with Joe Budden and Andrew Tate, he’s decided to lay low for a while.

Still, others, including DJ Vlad, are looking to Drake to make a statement about the ongoing conflict between the Israel and Hamas. Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, seemed to offered a response on his behalf over the decision to stay silent. During an encounter with TMZ Saturday, October 14, Graham shared his thoughts.

When asked if Drake’s Jewish heritage intensified his sadness about the tension in the region, Graham replied, “I’m sure it affects everybody. It’s just totally ridiculous… If you say something about this one, you are going to get criticized. If you say something about someone else, you’re going to get criticized… It’s best to say out of it, especially if you’re someone that’s well known.”

He continued, “Being a celebrity and saying something that favoring one against the other it’s going to come back on you. Just be quiet.”

This isn’t the first time Drake has been called out for being silent on political issues. In July, Ebro Darden referred to Drake’s lack of discussion on Black issues while filming the Apple Music show Rap Life Review, which he later walked back.

For All The Dogs is out now via OVO Sounds/Republic Records. Find more information here.

Drake’s Dad Defends Rapper’s Silence On Israel-Palestine

Drake’s father Dennis Graham has said he fully supports his son’s decision to remain silent on Israel-Palestine. Speaking with TMZ, Graham said that celebrities always get backlash when they speak on hot-button issues and he imagined that Drake speaking on the Middle East conflict would be no different. Celebrities are “damned either way” he lamented during the conversation.

The Canadian rapper has gotten a fair amount of heat for being one of the most notable figures not to release a statement about the ongoing conflict. DJ Vlad in particular has gone hard on Drake’s silence. “Has anyone noticed that the most famous Jewish person on Earth, Drake, and the most famous Palestinian person on Earth, DJ Khaled, haven’t said a single thing about the Gaza-Israel conflict?  It’s not like Drake is too busy. He’s been writing paragraphs about Joe Budden hurting his feelings about his new album.  DJ Khaled has been working overtime promoting his new Jordan sneakers. But both of them have been silent on this topic. Why is that?” Vlad asked. In a follow-up statement, he said that he had called them out because “their voices are powerful”.

Israel-Palestine: Lastest Updates

While Drake remains silent, the situation in Gaza grows ever more dire. A UN report suggests that fuel supplies in the enclave will only last another two days, putting already overcrowded hospitals at further risk. Meanwhile, the IDF has ordered over 1 million inhabitants of northern Gaza to evacuate to the south. However, many are afraid to do this after reports emerged of Israel bombing refugee convoys.

Elsewhere, Israeli troops are amassing on the Gazan border with a ground operation expected in the coming days. Furthermore, a Reuters videographer was killed when an Israeli shell hit a gathering of multi-national journalists covering fighting on the southern Lebanon border. Six others, who have been identified as Reuters, Al-Jazeera, and Agence France-Presse employees, were wounded in the incident. Overall, over 3600 people have died in the week following a brutal Hamas incursion into Israel. Additionally, Palestinian officials state that their death toll has already made it the greatest loss of life from the Palestinian side in any conflict with Israel to date.

Dennis Graham Praised Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ And Says It Has ‘Some Of The Best Music’ He’s Heard From Him

Before Drake kicked off his and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour in July, he staged an intimate “victory lap” concert at the legendary Apollo Theater in January. The It’s All A Blur Tour setlist and the Apollo show’s setlist each boast 40-plus songs, which is a roundabout way of stating the obvious: Drake has put out a lot of music.

Even so, Dennis Graham, Drake’s dad, feels comfortable in saying his son’s forthcoming For All The Dogs album will rank among Drake’s best-ever offerings.

“I had the pleasure of sitting in my Son’s dressing room and listening to this new album and I must say that it is some of the best music that I’ve heard him do, and I am sure that every Drake fan throughout the entire world is going feel this one,” Graham captioned an Instagram photo of the For All The Dogs artwork, drawn by Drake’s five-year-old son, Adonis. “Everything about For All The Dogs is what we’ve been waiting for, Congratulations Son I really feel this one.”

Drake left a comment saying, “Thanks dad [three smiley-with-sunglasses emojis] I was so happy you loved it.”

Earlier on Wednesday night, September 6, Drake confirmed September 22 as the release date for For All The Dogs with a throwback video of Graham, also known as “Cousin Dennis,” performing a cover of Albert King’s “Crosscut Saw.”
