Drake Gives Adam22 His Hip-Hop Media Big Three, Shows Rare Love To Joe Budden And Shades DJ Vlad

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world, and over the years, he has certainly had his fair share of run-ins with hip-hop media. Overall, it has been a while since he has actually sat down with a hip-hop publication. Instead, he has mostly focused on doing interviews with the likes of Bobbi Althoff and Barstool Sports. However, he is clearly paying attention to the landscape right now, and he is aware of all of the big names. Consequently, he could probably tell you who his favorite personalities are, right off the top of his head.

In fact, the Big Three of hip-hop media has become a discussion point thanks to Adam22. Recently, he said that the Big Three is himself, DJ Vlad, and DJ Akademiks. He even dissed Joe Budden in the process, which led to an interesting reply from the man himself. Since then, Adam has asked Drake to get in on the fun. While speaking on a recent podcast, Adam says Drake told him who his Big Three is, or at least he implied it. Adam suggested his own list, and it led to Drake saying “Nah you got to give it to [Joe Budden] over Vlad.”

Drake x Adam22

While Drizzy might hate Joe Budden, and for obvious reasons, it seems like he still respects him as a podcaster. Apparently, Drake isn’t too fond of Vlad, who is definitely a polarizing figure. Some love him and his interview style, while others have always felt conflicted by it. No matter what, this debate has been pretty interesting to watch play out. For now, however, it seems like Akademiks is through line for everyone who is taking part in the debate. Given his public perception, it is a unique thing to note.

Let us know what you think of these comments from Drake, down in the comments section below. Do you think that he is correct in his assessment? Who would you have in the hip-hop media Big Three? Adin Ross Cancels Boosie BadAzz Stream, DJ Vlad Calls Him “Lame”

Adin Ross has explained that he canceled an upcoming stream with Boosie BadAzz due to his “loyalty” to Charleston White. However, this explanation quickly earned him a reprisal from DJ Vlad. “So @adinross, who is Jewish, canceled his livestream with @BOOSIEOFFICIAL because of his loyalty to Charleston White. This is after Charleston White said he loves Hitler and the Holocust was fake. Adin is lame as f-ck for this. F-ck Adin Ross,” Vlad said.

The DJ and interviewer was referring to the antisemitic tirade that White aimed at Ross last year. “F-ck that white boy [Ross], f-ck them Jew motherfuckers,” White begins in one clip posted to X. “They don’t know sh-t, n-gga. They don’t know how to treat no n-gga. The Jews? Nah nah, we’re the real motherf-cking Jews. The nappy-hat n-gga that was in chains. F-ck the Jews, man. The Holocaust was fake. Yeah, the Holocaust was some made-up sh-t. They made up some shi-t. Like Valentine Day and Christmas, made up. F-ck you talking about – when Jesus was born there weren’t even no December. It’s fake y’all. Adin and his line motherf-ckers. F-ck them. I rock with Hitler. Hitler-loving motherf-cker. They fly me out here. I f-cking love Hitler. Heil motherf-cking Hitler [White performs a Nazi salute]. The motherf-cking Jews ain’t suffered what the motherf-cking n-gga suffered,” White said streaming in Vegas last year.

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

However, Boosie isn’t the only rapper that Ross has crossed as of late. Adin Ross has apologized for his previous comments about Kanye West struggling to get brand deals. According to Ross, he had been driven to make the rare apology after Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori, reached out to Ross to set the record straight. Ross confirmed he had received an email directly from Censori asking him to retract his statements.

Ross had tried to continue his trend of paying rappers to appear on his streams by saying he had the backing of Kick and Stake to pay Kanye for an appearance. This was taken as Ross saying that either Kanye is broke or that Kanye needs the charity. Ross backpedaled during his apology, stating that what he meant is that streaming services were not paying Kanye because “they’re not throwing money at anyone.” Do you believe Ross’ apology? Do you consider it an apology at all? Let us know in the comments.

Boosie Badazz Speaks On Quando Rondo Arrest, Posts Throwback Prison Selfie

Boosie Badazz’s VladTV interviews with DJ Vlad are almost as certain as taxes these days, and they always contain some interesting diatribes. While some can turn more antic-heavy or scandalous, as the Baton Rouge rapper’s social media presence tends to be, this most recent sit-down resulted in a reflection on a recent arrest within the hip-hop game. Moreover, he spoke on Quando Rondo’s recent stint on federal drug charges, for which he nabbed a $100K bond. Vlad asked the 41-year-old why Rondo’s career is struggling with these legal issues despite his artistry and industry support. For this, he had a pretty nuanced and empathetic answer.

Furthermore, Boosie sought to emphasize how he can relate to Quando Rondo’s situation and his run-ins with the law. He said that his past collaborator’s behavior reminds him of his own when he was also a young artist with a troubled background. Specifically, the Trill Entertainment affiliate agreed with Vlad that the Savannah, Georgia native should consider moving to another city to stray further away from his volatile path. They discussed somewhere close like Atlanta, but also propositioned Miami and Los Angeles as solid options to begin anew.

Quando Rondo’s Arrest Discussed On VladTV: Watch

Not only that, but Boosie also wanted to highlight the weight that personal accountability and responsibility holds when one attempts to break a vicious cycle of crime and legal trouble. As we know, he can relate far too closely to Quando Rondo’s status. In fact, the “Set It Off” MC recently posted a throwback selfie from when he was in prison on death row to his Twitter page, showing how far he’s come since. “2011” ME ON DEATHROW N MY CELL ON MY CELL PHONE FLEXING #somanydontknowmystruggle [prayer hands emoji],” he captioned the social media post.

Boosie’s Old Jail Selfie

Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see if these two spitters link up again one day, whether as comrades or as co-writers. They previously worked on tracks like “3 Options,” showcasing plenty of chemistry as Southern rappers. Hopefully Quando acknowledges and boosts himself off of those in the game that have his best interests at heart and can speak from experience. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Boosie Badazz and Quando Rondo.

The Game Explains His 2014 Beef With Lil Durk

The Game has explained his side of events regarding his beef with Lil Durk all the way back in 2014. According to his interview with DJ Vlad, the short-lived feud between the pair started when The Game did a song with Tyga. Tyga was beefing with Lil Durk at the time. However, The Game stressed that the beef was incredibly short-lived and Game stated that they were laughing about it “months later”.

Furthermore, Game said he respects Durk for his authenticity as well as his success in the rap game. The two have never gone on to put together a collab or anything. However, it appears that it was just a brief feud that had the two going after each other. Additionally, it should be noted that nothing ever came of the beef and that it never extended beyond some terse exchanges of words. Be sure to watch Game’s full comments about the feud in the video below.

The Game Says The Feds Tried To Get Him To Snitch On Jimmy Henchman

Elsewhere, in the interview, Game revealed that the feds had tried to use him in the arrest of Jimmy Henchman. “They came to my doorstep and you know, threatened me with jail time and wanted me to go to New York and wanted me to do all this. But I was like, ‘Nah, I’m just gon lawyer up’ and that was that,” Game told DJ Vlad. He was prompted to share the story after Vlad revealed that the feds had come after him during Jimmy’s appeal. The authorities wanted Vlad’s tapes of his interview with Henchman.

James Rosemond, aka Jimmy Henchman, was originally arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment on drug trafficking and money laundering charges. However, he was later charged with crimes relating to the death of Lodi Mack. Found guilty on all charges, Jimmy received an additional life + 20 sentence. During his DJ Vlad interview, the rapper also said he “didn’t understand” how you can give someone “life plus 20”.

Wack 100 Describes Michael Jordan Altercation

Wack 100 is someone who has been very forthcoming about some of the situations he has found himself in over the years. Overall, one such situation involves NBA legend Michael Jordan. Although Jordan typically keeps to himself, he has been known to be confrontational if he needs to be. However, it never gets to a point of no return. Instead, Jordan is somewhat of a diplomat who can ease tensions and neutralize a situation. It is a good quality to have, and Wack got to see it firsthand.

In the VladTV interview down below, Wack explained exactly what took place with Michael Jordan. Essentially, they were at the Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight which took place almost a decade ago. On his way out of the fight, Wack heard a whole bunch of commotion behind him. Overall, he was confused by it but eventually realized a big security guard was elbowing his way through people to escort someone out of the building. Subsequently, Wack stood up to the security guard and it led to a confrontation.

Wack 100 Explains The Situation

Eventually, Wack 100 realized who was being escorted out of the building. It was none other than Jordan, who immediately spoke to Wack. Wack had been telling the security guard he could stay behind or go around, but not through. Jordan agreed with the sentiment and told his team to take him through a different exit. In the eyes of Wack, this was a huge moment for him as it taught him how to handle certain issues. Moreover, it made him feel “outclassed” by the NBA superstar. Needless to say, this was a huge moment in Wack’s life, even if he didn’t know it at the time.

Let us know what you think of Wack 100 and his story, in the comments section below. What would you have done in this situation? Slim Thug Questions DJ Vlad’s Nationality In Explosive New Rant

DJ Vlad is a controversial figure among rap fans for many reasons. He’s one of the most opinionated voices in rap and isn’t shy about expressing it. That can sometimes get him into trouble like it did earlier this week when he shared his perspective on the new Andre 3000 album. “For everyone saying how ‘genius,’ ‘brave,’ and ‘creative’ Andre 3000’s new flute album is, the biggest song on the album has 17,000 streams. The last song has less than 2,000 streams. In comparison, Outkast still gets 20 million listeners a month. So yeah, the numbers speak for themselves,” he remarked seemingly missing the point of the new album entirely.

He’s also repeatedly faced cultural appropriation allegations for his role in the world of hip hop. Earlier this year Tyreese took shots at him for leaching off black culture. “Haven’t you used BLACK PEOPLE ENOUGH??? What’s the dudes name who talks off camera who owns VLAD TV?? Can y’all pull his tax returns????????,”Tyreese said in an Instagram post back in June. Now, DJ Vlad is once again dealing with accusations of profiting off of black culture.

Slim Thug Goes Off On DJ Vlad

In an explosive, profanity laced new rant, Slim Thug also took aim at Vlad. “How the f*ck is a n*gga named Vlad talkin’ ’bout a Black man in here? What he got goin’ on? Y’all just bop on anything. Y’all lettin’ a n*gga named Vlad tell y’all something. White people reportin’ this news to y’all. All kind of weirdos tellin’ you this sh*t. Stop the cap, man. This me, though. This my news station. And if they keep playin’ with me, I’ma start talkin’ ’bout them motherf*ckers. They better leave me alone,” Thug said.

But his issues with Vlad also extend to his name itself. ““Vlad Escobar. What the f*ck is Vlad? What name is that? Where is that from? What nationality is that? Cuz I don’t know how it’s a Vlad tellin’ Black people news […] How’s we cool with this? German is German. Is we lettin’ a German get all this money off us?” he concluded. What do you think of Slim Thug’s points about DJ Vlad? Do you agree with his accusations that Vlad is culturally appropriating? Let us know in the comment section below.

DJ Vlad’s Andre 3000 Comments Warrant Backlash On Social Media

DJ Vlad is facing criticism on social media for his recent opinion on Andre 3000’s latest instrumental project, New Blue Sun. Responding to the critical praise the album has been receiving, the VladTV founder called attention to its low streaming numbers.

Taking to Twitter, Vlad wrote: “For everyone saying how ‘genius,’ ‘brave,’ and ‘creative’ Andre 3000’s new flute album is, the biggest song on the album has 17,000 streams. The last song has less than 2,000 streams. In comparison, Outkast still gets 20 million listeners a month. So yeah, the numbers speak for themselves.”

Fans roasted Vlad for the post. “Imagine missing out on art because you care who else heard it, imagine passing on creativity from a generational talent because you’re focused on how many streams it has. Imagine disrespecting a legend’s sonic space for clout. Yikes. Andre’s flute has more presence than you,” one fan responded. Another wrote: “You’re an idiot. you’re lucky you’re even relevant, let alone getting paid in this. you’re a joke. an embarrassment. a scumbag. shut your mouth and learn about the culture you continuously appropriate.” Chuck D got involved as well, criticizing Vlad’s take. He argued that “we can’t allow the grease of machinery run through our arteries.”

DJ Vlad Reacts To Andre 3000’s “New Blue Sun”

Andre 3000 dropped New Blue Sun as his first solo album on Friday. The project sees him performing his flute rather than rapping, as he’s done throughout his career. Speaking with GQ, he explained why he hasn’t been motivated to rap. “It actually feels … sometimes it feels inauthentic for me to rap because I don’t have anything to talk about in that way. I’m 48 years old,” he revealed. Be on the lookout for further updates on the Outkast rapper on HotNewHipHop.

DJ Vlad GoFundMe Seeking $500K For Boosie Badazz’s 2024 Interviews, Less Than $50 Raised So Far

Boosie Badazz still makes music. However, at this point in his career, the Southern lyricist is better known for his commentary on pop culture events, criminal antics, and family drama. He’s currently feuding with his mother and brother over a legal battle – not to mention his long-running spat with Yung Bleu. The multi-talent was arrested earlier this year while attending YNW Melly’s first double murder trial and has since been on (mostly) good behaviour while maintaining his status in the industry.

Earlier this month, Boosie went to New York to appear on The Breakfast Club. During his chat with Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, we heard the 41-year-old discuss a good friend of his, Vlad Lyubovy, who often invites him on VladTV to discuss current events, among other things. According to Boosie, he makes $500K annually for sitting down with the blogger, and now that the news is out, Vlad has resorted to making a GoFundMe to help him collect the funds to pay his rapper pal for 2024.

DJ Vlad Has Jokes After Boosie Badazz Exposes Him

“Now that Boosie told ‘TBC’ that we pay him him $500K/year to be on ‘VladTV,’ all of our other regular guests want the same amount too so we can’t afford to keep our lights on,” he quipped on Twitter yesterday (November 13). “We had no choice but to start a GoFundMe to avoid going out of business. Even $1 would help during a time like this,” Vlad pleaded. At the time of publication, a total of $49 has come in to pay Boosie for his 2024 commentary. There’s still a long way to go, but seeing as it’s the Baton Rouge-born artist’s birthday, fans are all the more likely to be feeling generous.

If what Boosie Badazz said about his VladTV checks is true, it’s no wonder he’s got no problem offering out a huge cash prize to the fan who finds his ankle monitor charger. Earlier this month, the Louisana native said he’d give $5,000 to anyone who can help him avoid trouble with the law by finding his missing electronic device. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

DJ Akademiks Claims Drake Tried To Mediate SZA Beef

During a recent conversation with DJ Vlad, DJ Akademiks recalled Drake calling him in the midst of his beef with SZA. “It was a very polite call. But, you know, they are very close friends and they were doing the album at the time. He wanted to see if there was any middle ground that could be reached. But I just told that it was an axe I needed to grind from a couple years back. I just needed to pop off, I got no issue with her. I love her and I actually went back on my platform and I said that listen, I was sending nothing but love and light,” Akademiks explained.

SZA has been targeted a couple of times by the outspoken DJ, most recently in August of this year. Ak received heavy backlash after fat-shaming SZA on his massive social platform. “Let me keep it a bean, SZA is as fat as me. That’s 100 percent facts. This is why when b-tches call me fat, I be laughing. You wh-res are fat, just like me. […] You suck that fat out of [your chin] and put it into your a– and your a– be looking lopsided. Your belly button be looking weird because they move that b-tch around, it’s like tic-tac-toe,” Ak said in the heavily-criticized rant.

Akademiks Questions Drake’s Jewish Identity

Furthermore, while Drake tried to play peacemaker on this occasion, he has also often been a target of Ak’s ire. In recent months, Drizzy had his Jewish identity questioned over his silence on the Israel-Palestine conflict. “I do think when it comes to Drake and Khaled, it’s probably a concerted effort of not trying to isolate people. It’s like, ‘If I say something, what will it even matter?’” Ak reasoned. However, he went in harder on Drake, especially in regards to Drake’s Jewish heritage. “I think he’s gone away from trying to be the, ‘Hey, this is the Jewish rapper,’” he theorized.

Drake did eventually break his silence on the conflict, signing a widely-circulated letter calling for a ceasefire. “We urge your administration, Congress, and all world leaders, to honor all of the lives in the Holy Land and call for and facilitate a ceasefire without delay. An end to the bombing of Gaza, and the safe release of hostages. Half of Gaza’s two million residents are children, and more than two-thirds are refugees and their descendants being forced to flee their homes. Humanitarian aid must be allowed to reach them,” the letter that Drake signed read in part.
