Latto has released the highly anticipated remix of her single “Sunday Service,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli, via RCA Records. The track’s original version generated significant buzz after Latto teased it on Instagram a few months ago, showcasing her signature witty bars over a catchy beat.

The new music video for the remix brings the three powerhouse artists together, featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the Atlanta stop of Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s Hot Girl Summer tour. This collaboration excites fans, blending the unique styles of Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, and Flo Milli.

Latto, Flo Milli, And Megan Thee Stallion Uplift Each Other On The ‘Sunday Service’ Remix

A Hot Girl Summer continues. Over the past few weeks, the ladies of rap have been dropping heater after heater. And tonight (June 7), this pattern continues with a remix of Latto‘s “Sunday Service.” Joined by Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli, Latto takes the scorching diss track to the next level.

Flo Milli pops in with her brand of pretty girl magic, questioning why someone would bring their man to an event “if you know he thirsty.”

On Meg’s verse, she is well aware that she is the standard, even if her opps try change the rules of the rap game when she reaches unbeatable heights.

“I meet the goalposts, b*tches move it, they say I can’t, then I do it / Your favorite rapper might not like me but his boo gon’ jam my music,” raps Meg.

As the ladies have been known to do in their individual records, they deliver on bars, as well as pure, carefree fun. Eliminating the need for the competition the game tries to put them in, the girls display a sense of collaboration, uplifting each other and bringing each artist to brand new heights.

You can listen to the “Sunday Service” remix above.

Latto Revealed The Secret Third Feature On Her ‘Sunday Service’ Remix With Megan Thee Stallion

Latto and Megan Thee Stallion have been teasing their “Sunday Service” remix for a bit, promising a secret third collaborator, who they just revealed. While many thought it might be Meg’s tourmate GloRilla, with whom Latto has a friendly dance rivalry going, it actually turned out to be another of rap’s current It-Girls: Flo Milli. The song is about to drop in just a few hours, at midnight on June 7, but if you thought the hype couldn’t get any greater, you’ve got another think coming.

Ironically, it’ll be the first time Flo Milli has worked with either woman, but they’ve all circled each others’ orbits for a while. In November, both Latto and Flo Milli participated in an XXL Cypher Lab freestyle session with Monaleo, Maiya The Don, and Mello Buckzz, and back in 2022, they interviewed each other (while indoor skydiving, no less) for Rolling Stone‘s “Musicians On Musicians” series.

The trio also linked up backstage during the rescheduled Atlanta stop of Meg and Glo’s Hot Girl Summer Tour, where the aforementioned twerk battle took place. All are part of a recent wave of women in rap teaming up with each other to improve all their chances in a male-dominated genre, which has included Cardi B appearing on Flo Milli’s “Never Lose Me,” Cardi rapping on Glo and Meg’s “Wanna Be,” and Meg and Glo teaming up together in first place.

You can listen to the “Sunday Service” remix at midnight Eastern/9 PM Pacific.

Megan Thee Stallion And GloRilla Link Up With Flo Milli And Latto Backstage On Tour

Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s Hot Girl Summer tour has been a must-see event for fans of female rappers. The pair have already played a number of dates to sold-out stadiums where Megan has debuted new music and teased towards her upcoming new album. It was at one of her shows where fans first got the word that the project would be called Megan and they only have to wait a few more weeks to hear it. She revealed that the record will arrive later this month on June 28.

After a recent show there was once again a crossover between some of the biggest female rappers in the game. Just a few weeks ago the duo brought Cardi B out on stage with them. While there they teased the released of their upcoming collaboration, a Cardi-led remix of Meg and Glo’s song “Wanna Be.” The track dropped over the weekend and saw Cardi upping the stakes of her beef with BIA. But at an even more recent show, both Latto and Flo Milli showed up. Video is making the rounds online of the group seemingly having a lit celebration backstage. Additionally in the comments, fans argue that this is the level of love there should always be among women rappers. “This is how it’s supposed to be with the rap girls! What are y’all beefing for???” one of the top comments on a repost of the video reads. “Not a Hater in sight.. we love to see it.. 😩😩🙏🏽” another comment agrees. Even in the biggest year for rap beef in recent memory, fans are clearly still here for rappers supporting and uplifting each other.

Flo Milli Ends Performance After Fans Hurl Objects At Her, Gunna Shows Support

Flo Milli’s star power is only continuing to grow each week. After dropping quite the enjoyable listen with Fine Ho, Stay in March, the Mobile, Alabama native is now getting incredible opportunities. One of which includes being an opening act for Georgia superstar Gunna during his new Bittersweet Tour. This North American expedition is for the “fukumean” artist’s forthcoming May 10 record ONE OF WUN. It kicked off last night in Columbus, Ohio, according to HipHopDX, but it got off to a rough start. A video has been making the rounds online of a perpetrator having an object thrown while Flo Milli was performing her set.

She was caught off guard, as anyone would be, saying, “B****, who is throwing s*** at?” In the video below, it appears to show who heaved what seems to be a shoe. It was a young adult white male, which set some people off in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk‘s post. “Something about a WHITE MAN throwing s*** at a black woman don’t sit well with me,” the user said. “B**** when I f***ing catch you h*e I swear to f***ing god.” Those were the final words of the “Never Lose Me” rapper before she exited stage left.

Her tour mate, Gunna, reacted to the video on X (formerly Twitter), and showed tremendous companionship for Flo. “No disrespect in any form @_FloMilli will be tolerated on tour. family ties 🤞🏾” he wrote. Hopefully, Flo and Gunna will not have to deal with anymore antics from “fans” going forward after this viral clip. Their next chance for a better show is tonight, as the Southern rappers head to the Fox Theatre in Detroit.

What are your thoughts on Flo Milli ending her performance early after the fan threw something at her onstage? Do you think she made the right call by doing and possibly setting a future standard for her performances? How do you feel about Gunna supporting her on X? What would you in that situation? Maiya The Don Recruits Flo Milli For Remix Of Her Braggadocious 2023 Hit “Expensive”

Back in early 2023, Flo Milli tapped Maiya The Don for a remix of one of her early hits, “Conceited.” Now, the Mobile, Alabama rapper is returning the favor, by helping out the native New Yorker in the same capacity. The newcomer, who got her start in 2021, dropped her debut project in October of 2023, Hot Commodity. On it, Maiya The Don struck gold with “Expensive,” but now Flo Milli is in the fold for this remix.

“Expensive” is a song about flaunting wealth and everything that comes with. Both rappers have made tracks similar to this, so the energy is right in their wheelhouses. With this new version, there are hardly any changes instrumentally. Structurally though, Maiya The Don’s first verse is gone, and replaced with Flo’s toxic bars. “He wanna spoon me, treat me utensils / Don’t do what I say and that boy gettin’ canceled (He gone) / Got a bag? That mean you can spoil me.”

A second pre-chorus has also been thrown in, following Milli’s verse. “AP watch, I put it in their face / Yeah, tell a ho to get a taste.” It is also longer than Maiya’s pre-chorus, which still stays in the mix. All in all the chemistry is solid, and we can see more collabs out them.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single and remix, “Expensive” by Maiya The Don and Flo Milli? Do you think this was a necessary adjustment to add the Alabama rapper, why or why not? Is this one of her stronger offerings as of late? Do you still have Hot Commodity in your rotation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. The Best Hip-Hop Albums Of March 2024

The RX is Uproxx Music’s stamp of approval for the best albums, songs, and music stories throughout the year. Inclusion in this category is the highest distinction we can bestow, and signals the most important music being released throughout the year. The RX is the music you need, right now.

What a month. March 2024 was largely defined by a string of controversies, conflicts, and conspiracy theories, which kept us a tad bit too busy for some of our typical in-depth musical coverage.

But there were also so many good hip-hop albums, I didn’t want the month to end without at least tipping my cap to the array of innovative releases that would have normally been given the RX seal of approval if there weren’t 1,000 other things going on.

And so, I present to you, loyal readers of Uproxx – and newcomers, too – to the first edition of the Best Hip-Hop Albums of the Month. Let’s call it an extension of my weekly column, designed to collect and rightfully praise the projects that impressed us the most over the past 30 or so days. After all, who says new albums only deserve a week’s worth of attention?

Flo Milli – Fine Ho, Stay

flo milli fine ho stay
Flo Milli

Although it’s technically the Alabama rapper’s second studio album, her latest release completes a trilogy begun by her fan-favorite 2020 debut mixtape, Ho, Why Is You Here?. The new album expands on the world-building she did on it and its 2022 follow-up (and her debut album) You Still Here Ho?, the album contains contributions from Anycia, Cardi B, SZA, Gunna and Monaleo. Still, Flo Milli remains the star of the show, showing off an impressive degree of growth and polish across 14 tracks, including her latest breakout hit, “Never Lose Me.”

Kenny Mason – 9

kenny mason 9
Kenny Mason

It’s almost impossible to truly categorize what kind of music Atlanta native Kenny Mason actually makes. An amalgamation of Atlanta staples like trap, the Southern-fried funk rap of Outkast, the gloomy grunge of early-90s Nirvana, and soulful, blurry-eyed Bandcamp boom-bap, Kenny vividly details teenaged malaise, early adulthood angst, and stressful street trials without any part seeming trivial or melodramatically heightened in comparison to the others. 9’s guestlist is as eclectic as its subject matter, tapping Babydrill, Toro Y Moi, and Veeze.

Kyle – Smyle Again

kyle smyle again
Kyle

Longtime readers of my Best Hip-Hop of the Week column will likely be aware that this album combines two of my favorite things in hip-hop at the moment: A fellow West Coast native and the ongoing Black reclamation of EDM. Despite its title, Kyle’s latest doesn’t rehash the content or sound of his breakthrough 2015 mixtape; rather, it revisits its spirit, in a full-circle moment that allows the Ventura product to reflect on his career and have a little fun in the process. Utilizing an eclectic soundscape that draws on UK 2-step and garage, Smyle Again is a unique gem no one should overlook in the search for truly original hip-hop.

Schoolboy Q – Blue Lips

schoolboy q blue lips
Schoolboy Q

Q’s first new album in five years is a gritty review of his journey so far through the eyes of a weathered vet. Sonically adventurous, it swerves erratically from blue-era Miles Davis jazz to menacing, guttural street Gothic opera, never settling into one mode for too long – or indeed, for very long at all. Yet, Q’s grizzled, paranoid flow holds everything together generating order in the chaos as he takes stock of his successes, which would be surprising if not for the perseverance he needed to exert to survive long enough to enjoy them. “Yeern 101” is a standout.

Tierra Whack – World Wide Whack

tierra whack world wide whack
Tierra Whack

I haven’t been as devastated by a rap album since Rexx Life Raj’s 2022 album The Blue Hour. Where Whack’s colorful costumes and whimsical backing tracks might lure listeners into a false sense of upbeat security, the themes she tackles here – depression, grief, imposter syndrome, and survivor’s remorse – practically hollowed me out. “Two Night” and “27 Club” are a harrowing one-two punch that let the album linger on the terrifying implications of anointing – and leave you longing for the rest of the story, for the catharsis that even Whack can’t promise. I hope she’s doing okay.

Cardi B Pushed Back Against Any Haters Of Her Being On Flo Milli’s ‘Never Lose Me’ Remix

Cardi B, in typical fashion, did not hold back on the haters of her being on Flo Milli’s remix of “Never Lose Me” alongside SZA. During a recent Instagram Live, Cardi walked around and had some words for her followers.

“When the Flo Milli remix came out, b*tches were acting like they were so mad that I was on it,” she said. “‘Cardi not even gonna sound good on this.’ And then when it came out, you know the haters — some of them didn’t even hear it. They was like, ‘She just don’t go with the song.’ And now there’s over 10,000 TikToks of people talking about, ‘B*tch could never be me in her life!’”

“And the artist — which is Flo Milli — said she f*cking loved the verse,” Cardi added. “And she’s a real b*tch. She ain’t gonna be like, ‘Oh yeah I love it!’ just because she wanted me on the song. She loved it. And SZA loved it, b*tch. I wanna say this why you can’t listen to no f*cking body.”

Flo Milli had dropped the remix of the song a few days earlier, as part of her Fine Ho, Stay album.
