Don Toliver Teased His ‘Lovesick’ Album, Which Seems Like It May Arrive Soon

It looks like Don Toliver‘s upcoming album, Lovesick may arrive in the near future. Today (February 11), the Houston-native singer took to Instagram to drop some hints.

In his Instagram story, the “Do It Right” singer is seen holding a whiteboard reading “Lovesick” at the top. It appears a potential tracklist was smudged out using Instagram effects.

In the next section of the story was a black screen, with text reading “The Month of Love is what they say.”

While it’s not clear what “the month of love” is, it’s safe to assume Toliver is referring to February, especially as we are just days away from Valentine’s Day. Toliver has also cleared his entire Instagram, which, in this day and age, signifies that a new musical era is imminent.

We don’t know a whole lot about Lovesick, however, in a December interview with Clash, Toliver revealed that his upcoming third album will follow a cohesive, sequential narrative.

“On this particular album, I really locked in on the actual story and the theme of the album and basically the tracklist is going in sequence, in motion of the actual story, of what it will be,” he said.

Zack Bia Connects With Don Toliver For Club-Worthy Debut Single, “Hardcore”

Zack Bia is often seen hanging out with some of the biggest names in the music industry, and now, he’s markedly giving them a run for their money with a debut release of his own. On Friday (January 27), the 26-year-old finally shared his “Hardcore” single which finds him in the producer’s seat, and Don Toliver holding it down on vocals.

“I’ve really been wanting to put music out for a long time, right? And I’ve been working with artists in different capacities forever,” the socialite told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 recently. “It’s really a two-part record. It feels like a DJ set. I think we did something really creative.”

Bia further explains, “We gave them two very distinct records that come together as one in a seamless way. I think people will really feel like, ‘Oh, this feels like it’s being DJed live for me.’ And that’s kind of the purpose of it.”

Aside from being a big debut for the DJ, this is also the first time fans have heard Toliver since last November’s “Do It Right.” The unique single found the Houston native switching up his usual sound and embracing experimentation.

On his latest release, however, the 28-year-old sounds like the Cactus Jack star we’ve grown to love since his initial rise on the scene.

I can keep you on the edge
If you promise to keep me in your head
If you get close enough, I’m reaching for your legs
Just give me up for once
Just give me up for once

The “Broken Clocks” singer revealed the release date during her Saturday Night Live performance this past weekend and S.O.S. is dropping this Friday, December 9th. It’s been a long-time coming since the brilliant Ctrl established SZA as a bona fide force back in 2017 and SZA has had her share of delays for the new album in the years since. Now that we’re finally, officially on the home stretch, SZA has now shared the S.O.S. tracklist and it has its share of surprises (Phoebe Bridgers!) and familiar faces.

SZA also reached out to fans to ask which of two back cover designs they liked. The more minimal layout of the tracklist which better showcases a photo of SZA won out.

Kid Cudi Drops The Tracklist For His ‘Entergalactic’ Album, Which He Insists Is ‘Not A Soundtrack’

Kid Cudi’s passion project Entergalactic premieres on Netflix in just a few days on September 30, and the album, also entitled Entergalactic, hits streaming platforms the same day. He revealed most of the album was made three years ago but that the Kenya Barris-assisted series is the “greatest piece of art” he’s ever made.

It’s a joy to see Cudi honing in on his pursuit of happiness amidst his ongoing social media feud with Kanye West and Mike Dean. Maybe we’ll have the pleasure to read all about those complicated relationships and others in his upcoming memoir.

We’ve heard the single off the new album featuring Ty Dolla Sign, “Willing To Trust” and well…an alleged leaked album with nothing but fart sounds on wax. But don’t fret because Cudi has released an official tracklist that we can trust.

The Cleveland native called upon the likes of 2 Chainz, Don Toliver, Steve Aoki and Dot Da Genius on this one and promises Entergalactic the album is not to be mistaken for a soundtrack to the Netflix special but yet another Cudi offering to enjoy after his long hiatus; He wrote in response to a tweet, “NOT A SOUNDTRACK.”
