GloRilla Calls For Nicki Minaj And Cardi B To End Their Beef On Her New Mixtape

Overnight, GloRilla released her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang. She’s been teasing the project for a few months now and the lead single “Yeah Glo!” has been a big success. Alongside the release of the record she also released her next single, the similarly hyped up collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion “Wanna Be.” While that track is justifiably getting a lot of the discussion surrounding the record, fans have also found a particularly notable moment on the song “Aite.”

Lyrically, GloRilla speaks on the years-long supposed beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. But the only reason she brings it up is that she’s ready for them to bury the hatchet. “I just pray one day the bad b*tches would come together. Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f*cking records,” she says on “Aite.” In the comments of a post about the lyric, fans came to her defense. “I respect her for saying names because all the other girls be throwing shade” and “She said a word ! Nicki & Cardi would’ve had the most accolades together” two of the top comments on the post read. Check out the full lyric from her new song below.

GloRilla Wants Female Rappers To Stop Beefing

Earlier this week, GloRilla appeared on the newest episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. While there she was once again asked about Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard. She confessed her interest in the NBA star during this year’s All-Star Weekend festivities. But as she’s often done ever since she found a way to subtly avoid sharing any real details when asked.

What she was much more willing to talk about was the cosign LeBron James gave to her new hit “Yeah Glo!” What do you think of GloRilla mentioning Nicki and Cardi B in one of her new songs? Do you agree with her that the pair need to put their beef in the past? Let us know in the comment section below.

GloRilla Calls For Cardi B And Nicki Minaj To End Their Beef And Unite For The Good Of Music On ‘Aite’

Here’s an exercise: Hop on social media and look for a post about Cardi B or Nicki Minaj. Go to the comments of the post, and the odds are that you will see a comment disparaging one or both of the two rappers. Cardi and Minaj’s beef, and that between their fans, is one of the strongest in music, but GloRilla wishes it wasn’t so.

On “Aite,” from her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, GloRilla envisions a world where the two would put their differences aside and make a banger together. On the song’s second verse, Glo raps, “I just pray one day the bad b*tches would come together / ‘Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f*ckin’ records.” Later in the verse, she raps, “They treat this sh*t like competition, I see it as art / Sh*t’ll be platinum in the hood but it won’t see the charts” (“they” referring to people in general, not Cardi and Nicki specifically).

Speaking of big-time collaborations, Ehhthang Ehhthang sees GloRilla work with Megan Thee Stallion on “Wanna Be.”

Cardi B 2018 Assault Case: Alleged Victim Says Femcee’s “Celebrity Status” Cost Her A Job

Cardi B is a proud mother of two beautiful children, Kulture and Wave, who she’ll do anything to protect. Her maternal instinct kicked in before her oldest was born, as you may recall from a messy incident that stems back to 2018. At the time, the rising rap diva was leaving a doctor’s appointment when a security guard named Emani Ellis spotted Cardi and allegedly began recording her. Only a few months pregnant at the time, the East Coast icon was feeling particularly vulnerable. Ellis claims that she “struck her head, face, and body,” using her “long fingernails” to cause “facial injuries” that required cosmetic surgery.

“[Cardi] was the aggressor and attacked [Ellis] while she was employed as a security guard. Defendant was not injured in this incident,” a newly filed motion obtained by Radar Online says. “Defendant’s intention was to cause injuries to Plaintiff so she could not return to work. Defendant even used her celebrity status to get Plaintiff fired from her post as a security guard.”

“Defendant by threats, coercion, intimidation, physical force including assault & battery, prevented Plaintiff from returning to work as a security guard, which was something she had a right to do under the law,” the new documents continue. At the time (February 2018), Cardi hadn’t told her millions of followers about her pregnancy. As a result, she was clearly on high alert about protecting her family’s privacy. She and Ellis will be heading to court for trial on May 31, according to the outlet.

Cardi B Responds

Rather than brushing off the bad vibes, the “WAP” artist is speaking out online ahead of her court date. “She was a security recording me while I was going to my OBGYN while I was four months pregnant,” Cardi B wrote on @thejasminebrand’s post about the situation. “Got her own self fired, and yet in America the celeb gets sued,” she vented. Cardi B & Ice Spice’s Dominican Heritage Brings Them Together Amid Former’s Twitter Beef With Raymonte

No matter how often Cardi B reminds haters and trolls that she has no Mexican roots, they continue to insist that she doesn’t meet their definition of Black. This has become increasingly frustrating for the mother of two, who takes great pride in her Dominican heritage. Earlier this week, Bardi and a male content creator, Raymonte, found themselves trading shots. The latter compared himself to the former while trying to make a point about BIPOC creatives, causing some confusion. “It’s [wild] because when I became famous people said I’m ghetto, talked s**t about my accent, called me d*mb because [of] the way I speak. Said I got no couth, talk about my teeth, my braids, my two buns, and to this day, no matter what I accomplish I still get called a stripper,” the Grammy award winner ranted.

Raymonte didn’t initially understand Cardi’s anger, but she was quick to provide him with an explanation. “You know why I’m at where I’m at right now? Because I took all those no’s and recognized what I had to CHANGE. I had to change the way I talk, the way I act and the way I respond,” she shared in one tweet. In another, the Hustlers actress name-dropped a few other stars from the Dominican who aren’t treated as unfairly as she’s been.

Among them was Ice Spice, who joined in on the conversation. “No offense Bardi, it’s ‘cus I have a Dominican parent and a Black one 😭🖤,” the younger New Yorker wrote on Twitter amid all the drama. “I think there might be some confusion on what was said,” Cardi B responded. “I asked why he feels so comfortable calling me Mexican [when] I have no Mexican parents, my mom is Trini… She came out of a whole Black woman.”

Doja Cat Shut Down Rumors That She Dissed Cardi B On ‘Scarlet II’ In A Perfectly Doja Cat Way

It’s been a hectic week for Doja Cat. Last Friday, March 29, Doja ended her Instagram hiatus to announce her single, “MASC,” which is due out on Friday, April 5. On Tuesday, she revealed her revealing cover art for her long-teased Scarlet deluxe album, Scarlet II: Claude Frollo, and fielded outrage about the album leaking shortly thereafter. So, she did not have the time or energy for someone’s inquiry about a rumored Cardi B diss.

On Wednesday, April 3, Doja Cat shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the Scarlet II track “DISRESPECTFUL” is “one of my top 3 fav.” Someone replied, “Ok but which one did you Whack Cardi B on?” Doja Cat, as only Doja Cat would, replied two minutes later with, “none of them get a f*ckin life.”

Previously, people speculated that Doja name-checked Cardi B in “ACKNOWLEDGE ME.” An alleged clip of the song has been circulated online. One person posted the clip and wrote, “barking like Cardi B? is this shade Doja?” Another person replied with a guess as to what the lyrics were, and Doja did not acknowledge the questions related to Cardi B but corrected them on the line, “SNIFFING ON SOME CARLY RAE*.”

Doja Cat released Scarlet last September. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and spawned three nominations at the 2024 Grammys.

Cardi B And Ice Spice Cooled Off Rumors They Have Beef With A Cute Photo From ‘Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party

You know how women in hip-hop keep telling us that all the supposed beef between them is all in fans’ heads?

Cardi B and Ice Spice just proved it.

The above picture was taken at Vanity Fair‘s annual Oscars party this year. Ice Spice sent it to Cardi on Twitter after Cardi asked if she could see it while engaged in an intense discussion of race with an influencer, Raymonte Cole (it’s a long story).

After Cardi and Raymonte referenced Ice Spice, the “Think U The Sh*t” rapper popped up herself to offer a correction. Not appearing to take offense in the slightest, Cardi politely requested, “Can you send me that pic you took of me wit ya camera from vanity fair? Thank youuu.” Ice obliged, and with that, hopefully ended about a year’s worth of utterly nonsensical rage-farming, Twitter trolling, and Stan war flame-fanning that has honestly been tired since before anyone even know who Ice Spice was.

Of course, the primary drivers behind the discourse discord, the Barbz, are losing their sh*t, but at this point, I would hope we have all learned they deserve precisely none of our collective attention, especially because that’s all they seem to want. Y’all can, like, join a bowling league or something. Of course, some fans are STILL trying to frame the whole exchange in antagonistic terms but I guess life is either really messy or really boring over there.

Anyway, now that Ice Spice has apparently been in direct proximity with both Cardi B and Latto without violence, perhaps my dream of a “girl rap” Avengers carrying Joe Budden directly to the dumpster his podcast takes belong in is one step closer.

Nicki Minaj’s Fake Nails & Tour Earn Beyonce’s Approval, Trolls Tease Onika About Rihanna & Cardi B

Nicki Minaj fell back, had a baby, did the mother thing, did the wife thing, all that… But now, she’s back in action like we’ve never seen her before, moving with complete confidence on her Pink Friday 2 Tour. Things began this past winter in Oakland, and since then, we’ve also seen the Queen of Rap tear up the Rolling Loud stage with her latest hits and old classics. Minaj has been working so hard that she’s even got the attention of Beyonce, who penned a sweet letter to her “Feeling Myself” collaborator praising her recent efforts.

“Onika, I just received your nail collection and I love them,” the mother of three beautifully wrote. “Thank you so much for thinking of me and congratulations on your launch and on tour. Blessings. Love, Beyonce,” her card concluded. When sharing it on her Instagram Story, Minaj was clearly proud. “Barbz, #PinkFridayNails are Queen approved. Thank you, @beyonce. Love you 💗.” As with most things Papa Bear’s mom shares online, this is under public scrutiny for several reasons.

“Heavy on the ‘congrats on your nails and tour,’ cause y’all was trying to play with Nicki like she’s not loved and supported in real life,” one Instagram user wrote under @theneighborhoodtalk’s post. “Now y’all can put the made-up beef to rest,” another chimed in. Elsewhere, some chose to lash out at the Queen of Rap, using her moment of celebration as a time to attack. “Cardi is out with Rihanna, BYE Nick,” they said after the New Yorker and Barbadian turned up at Jason Lee’s Hollywood Bash this week.

Social Media Reacts

Ultimately, no matter how much speculating we do, no one really knows how Nicki Minaj feels about her “Fly” collaborator spending time with one of her biggest opps. What we are confident in, however, is Bey’s love for Onika, no matter what haters have to say. Cardi B LAPD Drama Has Femcee’s Team Speaking Out: “There Is No Truth To This Story”

With a platform as large as the one Cardi B has amassed for herself comes a lot of responsibility. For the most part, the New Yorker chooses to use it wisely, though that’s not always the case. Earlier this week she stirred up conversation after going Live and talking about wanting to take legal action against the Los Angeles Police Department. “They had me outside for like three hours,” Cardi alleged.

“They had me getting butt-naked outside. S**t was [wild]. It was deada** a movie. I’m about to sue the LAP. I told them like, ‘Yo, I’m Cardi B. Do I look like I gotta sell some s**t? Like why would I do that? I would never pull no s**t like that,’” the Invasion of Privacy artist said. Elsewhere in her rant, the Hustlers actress claimed that White cops didn’t recognize her while conducting their search. “They was really tough on me and everything,” she vented.

They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and s**t, like they really trying to ruin my life. Like y’all don’t even f**king know. I been going through a lot lately.” Cardi revealed to her followers. After the LAPD denied the incident, on Wednesday (March 27), her team spoke out to clarify some online discourse. “This IG Live was taken out of context and there is no truth to this story,” reps for the former stripper told Billboard in a statement. “Apologies for any confusion,” they added.

Not everyone is impressed with Cardi B’s tall tale about her “run-in” with authorities this week, but one area where the mother of two rarely disappoints is fashion. Cardi B Performs “Bodak Yellow” For Rihanna, Jason Lee, Paris Hilton & More: Watch

2023 was a year that saw female artists in the music industry rallying together and showing support, and while there’s still been some of that in 2024, tensions have been rising. The biggest femcee feud we’ve seen so far is between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, and because they’re two of the biggest names in rap, it only makes sense that virtually all their contemporaries are dragged into the situation by Twitter stans too. In the past, the Queen of Rap and Cardi B have had their issues too, which is why some were surprised to see a close friend of Minaj’s supporting Bardi earlier this week.

While attending Jason Lee’s Hollywood Bash event, the Hustlers actress performed one of her first big hits, “Bodak Yellow,” much to fellow patron’s pleasure. Even Rih was feeling the track, singing along to some of Cardi’s lyrics while touching up her makeup with a Fenty pallet. As AllHipHop reminds us, this comes shortly after the New York native expressed her desire to make a “perfect” song for her and the Bad Gal to collaborate on. Plenty of other stars were in attendance, including heiress and reality starlet Paris Hilton.

Rihanna Sings Along to One of Cardi B’s Biggest Hits

“I love Rihanna’s music, but I don’t do music like that,” Cardi shared on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast earlier this month. ” I sound kinda [silly] trying to sing like that, trying [to] sound like that. So if I ever get that perfect record, I can not wait until I feel like, ‘This song… I know she’s going to like it.’ Because I don’t want to send her nothing like, ‘Ho, what the f**k is this s**t? Take this thing out of my face.”

Both Rihanna and Cardi B are making major moves while their fans await the new music they’ve been promising. One of the former’s biggest announcements this month was her Vogue China cover, which took a nod from Beyoncé’s recent love for Western wear. Cardi B Delivers New Video for "Enough (Miami)"

On the Billboard Hot 100, Teddy Swims has his first No. 1 hit with Lose Control riding the wave to its 32nd week on the coveted chart. Swims dropped two new remixes with a Tiësto remix and a radio edit. This added momentum to push the song to the chain to number 1.

Just several songs down is Cardi B’s “Enough (Miami),” cracking into the top 10 at No. 9. The record, which fans have been anticipating to hear new music from the Bronx emcee, marked Cardi’s 12th entry into the Top 10. The single scored nearly 15 million streams and 8.8 million radio audience impressions.

Here’s more motion on the Billboard Hot 100 as reported by Variety: “Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” is at No. 2.
