Megan Thee Stallion Will Perform At Kamala Harris’ Campaign Rally In Atlanta

Megan Thee Stallion is one of the biggest rappers in the world. She landed numerous hits, and managed to survive a lengthy and controversial court case with her career intact. She’s having her best year yet in terms of sales and touring, and now she’s playing it forward. Megan Thee Stallion has confirmed that she will be performing at Kamala Harris’ campaign rally on July 30. The rally will take place in Atlanta, and see the rapper throw her support behind the new Democratic nominee.

Megan Thee Stallion confirmed the collaboration on Instagram. She posted artwork of the campaign rally with both her name and Harris’ emblazoned over the top. The event will take place at 7:30 PM ET, but the specific location has not yet been revealed. Those who have been keeping up with Megan Thee Stallion’s politics, however, will not be surprised by her decision to support Harris. The two celebrities have voiced support for one another in the past. Megan wrote an op-ed about violence for the New York Times in 2020, and Kamala Harris praised her on social media.

Kamala Harris Praised Megan Thee Stallion Back In 2020

“Thank you, @theestallion, for using your voice to speak out,” Harris tweeted. “Black women DO deserve better… We’ll continue to show up not just with lip service, but with action.” More recently, Harris and the Houston rapper linked up at a 2023 event in Washington, D.C. The event was a discussion for “economic empowerment of women,” and Megan Thee Stallion even posted a picture of her and VP Harris on social media. The rapper does not discuss politics in her music, but she has repeatedly urged her fans to go out and vote.

After Harris praised Megan on Twitter in 2020, the rapper retweeted Harris and reminded her followers to provide support. She also posted a video reminding fans to vote on Instagram, which received 1.2 million views. The rapper simultaneously provided a link to the site More Than A Vote, which is an online group of Black athletes and celebrities dedicated to fighting voter suppression. It’s impossible to say how much of an impact Megan had on the outcome of the election, of course, but it surely didn’t hurt. She’s poised to do even more for Kamala Harris during current election cycle.

Chad Dillon, Co-Owner Of Lil Baby’s Seafood Restaurant, Dies After Atlanta Shooting

As fans and loved ones look back on Dillon’s life and leave heartfelt messages, many are reflecting on all that he accomplished. In just one year of being open, The Boiler Room reportedly sold over 180K pounds of seafood, grossing over $8 million in sales. “I am a thinker and innovator, so even without a culinary background, I enjoy finding voids in the business market and creating solutions; creating restaurant concepts from ideation to execution, coming up with new menu items, and creating amazing customer experiences. I’m also very hands-on,” Dillon told TravelNoire in 2022.

Dillon also started a foundation aimed to help incarcerated individuals start businesses upon their release. “I feel that this group is often overlooked,” he told Alyse Eady of Good Day Atlanta at the time. “Especially when it comes to employment opportunities; it’s really hard for them to get jobs.” What do you think of Chad Dillon, co-owner of Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu Restaurant, passing away after a shooting in Atlanta? Irv Gotti Says Fat Joe is No Longer His Brother Due to Defense of Ashanti

Irv Gotti is the subject of a new sexual assault lawsuit. According to the Miami New Times, Gotti is being sued by a Jane Doe for sexually assaulting and abusing her between 2020 and 2022 in Saint Martin, Miami, and Atlanta.

“As a result of this sexually abusive relationship, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward,” the lawsuit reads. “These injuries continue and affect Plaintiff to this day.”

The lawsuit wants a trial by jury.

The court docs state the woman met Gotti at a summer 2020 poker tournament, leading to a Saint Martin vacation. He allegedly coerced her into sex, but a relationship followed the trip. During the two-year relationship, the woman stated she had suffered “constant abuse.” She was forced into unwanted sexual acts, including being forced to perform oral sex in the elevator of the Four Seasons in Miami. Another occasion included the forcing of real sex in an Uber in Atlanta, leading to the end of the relationship.

Gotti allegedly slandered the woman throughout the industry, and the woman eventually was a resident of a psychiatric ward. You can see all the court documents here.

Rich Homie Quan & 2 Chainz Reunite On “Ah’Chi”

Despite a tumultuous few years in his career, Rich Homie Quan has been on a consistent streak as of late, one that may have flown on the radar. Nonetheless, he’s continued to dish out banger after banger after leaving the major label system. The Atlanta MC came back this week with the release of a new single titled, “Ah’Chi” alongside 2 Chainz. The icy banger boasts production from 2Tall, who leans into the guitar-laden production that sounds inspired by the early 2020s outings by YSL. And even Rich Homie Quan’s melodic inflections feels like something out of Gunna’s playbook.

“Ah’Chi” pays homage to their Atlanta roots, as the cover art suggests. The title itself is a reference to local slang that means to “overexaggerate.” In a way, that kind of embodies some of the bars they dish out and the hyperbolic wordplay (“I knock the whole buildin’ down, b*tch/ Walk out that hoe, I had no debris”). For 2 Chainz, the verse serves as an ode to the trap boy chic that carried his early career as he reflects on maneuvering through the streets to get paid and eventually, becoming a boss on his own.

Arizona Man Arrested for Planning to Incite Race War with Mass Shooting at an ATL Rap Show

https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/atlanta/arizona-man-facing-federal-charges-planning-mass-shooting-atlanta-wanted-start-race-war/MTHCU5QBYBFPFCFUYOQCI3PPR4/

A man in Arizona was arrested in May for planning to executre a mass shooting at a rap show in Atlanta. His plan was to begin a race war.

According to WSB-TV 2 Atlanta, Mark Adams Prieto sold rifles to people in preparation for a race war ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election. Apprehended by orders of the United States Department of Justice, Prieto was indicted by a federal grand jury, the result of a months long investigation led by the FBI.

The investigation into Prieto begin in Oct. 2023 as a reliable source revealed Prieto “expressed a desire to incite a race war prior to the 2024 United States Presidential Election.”

Investigation led to conversations at gun shows where he began to advocate for the mass shooting of “Blacks, Jews or Muslims.” The insider told the FBI that “Prieto believes that martial law will be implemented shortly after the 2024 election and that a mass shooting should occur prior to the implementation of martial law.”

Prieto was surveilled from January to March and sent in undercover agents to speak with him, eventually uncovering his idea. Prieto did not have a show identified but had a focus on Atlanta, State Farm Arena and the African-American community. Court docs quote him to stating:

“The reason I say Atlanta. Why, why is Georgia such a [expletive]-up state now? When I was a kid that was one of the most conservative states in the country. Why is it not now? Because as the crime got worse in LA, St. Louis, and all these other cities, all the [expletives] moved out of those (places) and moved to Atlanta. That’s why it isn’t so great anymore. And they’ve been there for a couple, several years.”

Part of Prieto’s plan was to leave behind Confederate flags as a sign that “whitey” is the enemy across the country and planned to shout “KKK all the way.”

Prieto was arrested driving through New Mexico on a trip to visit his mother in Florida. He was carrying seven firearms. An executed search warrant at his home uncovered more guns, including an unregistered short-barreled rifle.

He is facing charges of firearms trafficking, transfer of a firearm for use in a hate crime, and possession fo an unregistered firearm.

Justice officials stated that each conviction for trafficking firearms and transferring firearms for a hate crime carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both. Additionally, a conviction for possession of an unregistered firearm carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both. Each charge can also lead to a maximum of 15 years in federal prison.

Being convicted of possessing an unregistered firearm carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

[WATCH] Violence Erupts In The Crowd At Gunna’s Atlanta Concert

Screenshot 2024 06 12 at 5.03.29 PM

YSL rapper Gunna made his first hometown appearance on stage yesterday(June 11), but his return to Atlanta was overshadowed by a wild brawl that took place during his show at State Farm Arena.

Video footage from the show in Atlanta showed several people throwing wild punches very close to the stage before Gunna even took the stage. The skirmish seemed to be between two women and ended with a vicious body slam of one of the women involved.

See the front row brawl HERE

Despite the fight, Gunna managed to sell out the State Farm Arena in his first appearance on stage sice pleading out of the YSL RICO case.

The concert at State Farm was the last stop on his Bittersweet Tour, which began in early May and took the “Fuck U Mean” rapper across North America alongside support act Flo Milli.

The sold out crowd proved the support he has from fans for his latest album One of Wun, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Meanwhile, his former co-defendant, Young Thug, is currently in the midst of one of the most bizarre court cases in the state of Georgia and possibly the country. Thug’s lawyer has been held in contempt of court for not revealing to the court how he found out about the secret meeting between the Judge Granville, the prosecution and Lil Woody.

Arizona Man Plotted Mass Shooting At Atlanta Rap Show To Incite Race War

In one of the strangest stories to hit the rap world so far this year, it seems a tragedy was narrowly avoided. According to Atlanta’s WSB-TV a man from Arizona was arrested and is now facing federal charges. That came after he was caught trying to plan a mass shooting. The man’s name is Mark Adams Prieto and he was arrested and accused of selling rifles. He was doing so in an attempt to begin a race war before this year’s presidential election. The public revelations follow a months long investigation. It began in October of last year and resulted in a May arrest.

An affidavit submitted by the FBI during his indictment reveals that they were aware of Prieto long before the investigation officially began. That included running into him at multiple gun shows and campaign rallies over a three-year span. Subsequently they claim that in the past year his comments began to develop violent and racist sentiments as he plotted a racially motivated mass shooting. “Prieto believes that martial law will be implemented shortly after the 2024 election and that a mass shooting should occur prior to the implementation of martial law,” a source told the FBI. Thankfully the vigilant watch kept over him prevented an escalation to actual violence.

Arizona Man Discussed Targeting Rap Concert For Mass Shooting

It was in January of this year that Prieto made the comments about a mass shooting. He revealed to agents that he was specifically targeting Atlanta as he saw it as a symbol of societies downward trends. He specifically discussed targeting a rap show due to the increased chances of an African American crowd. Gun violence has unfortunately been an extensive part of the history of hip-hop, even up to the current day.

What do you think of an Arizona man arrested by the FBI plotting to incite a race war by committing a shooting at an Atlanta rap show? Do you think he would have followed through with his plans if not for his arrest? Let us know in the comment section below.

Gunna Fans Throw Hands At His Final “Bittersweet Tour” Stop: Watch

Overall, Gunna has been having one heck of a year in 2024. The Atlanta, Georgia rap product has made quite a lot of noise when it comes to his music, which is almost a given every 12 months. This time through, the trap veteran dropped his follow-up to a Gift & a Curse, One of Wun, just over a month ago. Already, the project has seen some tremendous results, as the album peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. That success can be attributed to songs like the title track, “prada dem”, “on one tonight,” and more. You cannot sleep on his feature game either, as his contributions to “1:59” by Normani and “Jump” by Tyla have led to massive streaming numbers. However, Gunna did hit a minor bump in the road as a fight broke out at a recent show.

According to HipHopDX, hands were thrown at the last stop of the Bittersweet Tour. The latter kicked off on May 4 and ended last night in his hometown of Atlanta at the State Farm Arena. Flo Milli accompanied him throughout the 16 locations and if you remember, it got off to a rocky start. The trek began in Columbus and during Flo’s time onstage a fan threw a shoe at her. It caused her to end her performance early and Gunna was there to show his support.

Gunna’s Fans Tussle In Atlanta

Now, the tour is ending with more violent acts, as it appears that two women were headlining the fight. It started with some bystanders holding the two ladies back while they were pushing each other. However, things escalated quickly, as the two concertgoers broke free of their restrainers and began to throw some hard-hitting punches. The climax of the tussle was the body slam, which seemingly ended the brawl. It seemed that the recipient of said action was ok, as she got up right after. But as we said, this was just a small hiccup last night, as Gunna appeared to be performing in front of a sold-out audience “back in the a”.

What are your thoughts on this fight at Gunna’s last Bittersweet Tour stop in Atlanta? Is this one of the nastiest pieces of fight footage you have seen from a hip-hop concert? Do you think Gunna is back after dropping One of Wun? Or was he never falling off? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Gunna. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.
