Preview for 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Shows Bambi and Karlie Redd On a Double Date

Okay, let’s get right to the latest and greatest with Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. So Shadow and Act reported some updates from the preview MTV just dropped on the LHHA.

Bambi is moving on. She has been about a year removed from her divorce from rapper Lil Scrappy, and now the mother of three is ready to go back to the dating world. Good luck! In the preview, she and Karlie Redd go on a double date. Then the conversation takes a turn when they dish about non-monogamous relationships. Whew. When Bambi’s “date” starts talking about polygamy, Redd says she has had her situations.

Here’s the play-by-play… “I’ve been in that,” she says. “I might as well be [in a polygamous relationship]. I can’t waste time on someone who wants to send rings to another girl…” Bambi then asks if Redd’s man sent engagement rings to another girl, to which Redd says yes. “Why are you still like straddling the fence?” Bambi asks. “I’m not straddling the fence…we have business…” In her confessional, Redd says it’s not easy to leave her relationship because they still live together and are in business. Redd then excuses herself from the table to answer the phone for her “primary boyfriend,” per a production note on the screen.

The episode airs Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on MTV.

Lil Scrappy Says He’s “Always Been In Love” With Erica Dixon

Lil Scrappy said in a recent interview that he has “always been in love” with Erica Dixon, even when seeing other people. The rapper and reality star was not spared the wrath of the internet for this declaration of love, however. “I’m so in love with you I got married and had 3 kids instead of working on myself and becoming the man that you needed, got it 😂,” one person said. “This is so cruel fr. He married a woman but was in love with another woman the whole time? He could have just played the field until she was ready to reciprocate. As a woman I would feel so bad if my bd told me that he still was in love with me after marrying a woman and giving her 3 kids, I would be so disgusted with him,” added another.

Rumors of a reunion between the two have swirled since at least Thanksgiving. Of course, the pair already share one child as a result of their decade-plus involvement with one another. However, Dixon has made it clear that her focus at the moment is finding a successful model of co-parenting with Scrappy.

Meanwhile, Scrappy has shot back at online rumors that Bambi is actually his cousin. “Don’t come over here with that. She is baby mama number two to me,” Scrappy said while livestreaming while eating out at a restaurant. The only thing I’m connected to with her is my kids. I love my babies, y’all know that. That’s the only thing we can talk about,” Scrappy explained on the stream. Scrappy responded to the comments that he had seen online. He was not directly asked about the claims during his livestream. However, some people did ask if he had seen people talking about it.

Scrappy and Bambi were married between 2017 and 2023 before an explosive divorce. The pair had three children during their marriage, whom they co-parent following the divorce. There are nothing other comments on social media to indicate that the pair have any more of a familial relationship than exes. While Scrappy has responded, Bambi is yet to add her own comments to the situation.

VH1’s Love And Hip-Hop franchise has spawned many stars, including Cardi B, K. Michelle, and more. However, one Love And Hip-Hop alum is looking to forget that her appearance on the show happened.

Rapper Baby Tate, who appeared on Love And Hip-Hop: Atlanta joked that the show simply used her likeness, and that she, herself, was never actually on the show.

A fan on Twitter asked “why tf was yung baby tate on love n hip hop,” to which Tate responded “That did not happen,” with a gif of Will Smith from Men In Black.

Bay area rapper Drebae responded to the post doubling down, saying “Exactly. You would never. They getting too good with the A.I chile.”

Tate then replied, saying “No literally this AI is getting SCARY like yall need to protect ur selves cuz if they can just put u on a show u was never on imagine what else they can do!?!”

Jokes aside, Tate only appeared on Love And Hip-Hop for one season, back in 2021. But now, it seems like she’s solely focusing on her music. She will kick off her Sexploration Tour next Wednesday (January 17) at The Echo in Los Angeles.

Baby Tate is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Prince Michael Apologizes For Sharing Lori Harvey’s Sex Details

Prince Michael has responded to the backlash to his recent comments on his relationship with Lori Harvey. In doing so, he defended his decision to open up, although he did admit he’s not “innocent” in the situation.

Prince began his statement by admitting that he understands where the backlash is coming from: “Whilst I can appreciate & understand everyone’s view on the podcast, I disagree. I understand the manner in which the question came off distasteful & I tried to answer in a manner that would still be funny, & salacious but still respectful, clearly I failed although I stated certain things to paint a clearer picture.”

From there, he argued that “this is MY life, MY story, MY truth. I would never get on any public platform & just LIE or talk about a sexcapade. But whether it was public knowledge or not, I had a relationship with this person regardless if you consider it one or not. & I feel like I can speak on my past relationships. Had this been a hook-up or a one night stand & I was being messy I get it. But to the public knowledge y’all really only know & have seen me with Liz on LHH. Can I not talk about Liz ever & our relationship cuz it’s the past? Or Claudia? My most recent ex, who’s exes include a famous Cuban artist, athletes? Nah I’m not innocent, I played into the bullshit a little bit just tryna entertain y’all & I can see where I’m in the wrong, not blind. But this whole narrative being pushed is beyond the truth.” Check out his full statement below.

Prince Responds To Backlash

As for his original comments, Prince provided numerous specific details on his and Harvey’s love life. He added that the sex was “phenomenal,” and noted:“I f**k with thick Lori, she wasn’t as thin like now, I prefer the old Lori.”

“Love & Hip-Hop: Houston” Is In The Works: Details

Fans of the Love & Hip Hop franchise will be excited to hear news of a new Love & Hip Hop Houston spinoff that includes notable artists from the city. It has been reported that a new show is in the works as of now. Rumors began in 2016 of a new Love & Hip Hop franchise that was set to expand to the city but there wasn’t much development on the subject. During that time, there were talks of potential cast members such as Jhonni Blaze, Mehgan James, Kirko Bangz, and Just Brittany. Additionally, a roster of several other renowned Houston natives who are embedded in the music industry were considered.

However, production was reportedly stopped indefinitely due to safety concerns for the crew on set. According to insiders, there were alleged acts of extreme violence between cast members and issues with those local to the area, citing the set as “too chaotic”. As months turned to years, there was little insight on whether or not the plans for Love & Hip Hop: Houston would ever come to fruition.

BUT u can catch me on Season 3 of Single Ladies on VH1 #Felicia.”

Now, according to inside sources, executives at the Love & Hip Hop franchise are determined to make Love & Hip Hop: Houston a reality. Conversations regarding the potential spin-off have reportedly resumed, and VH1 is actively searching for talent. They have not specified the individuals they are considering for the cast. Bambi has threatened to take Momma Dee to court with a defamation lawsuit, amid their years-long feud. Discussing their issues with Amanda Seales on her Small Doses podcast, the Love And Hip Hop Atlanta star revealed her intentions for court.

The conversation arose while Bambi was discussing how she too often lets things go. “I just started to realize this year. People are like, ‘You let stuff go so much.’ I think if I just keep going and don’t have to deal with it, I just be like whatever, whatever. I don’t get offended by much and that’s not a good thing.” From there, Seales asked her age, noting that the mentality may catch up with her.

I’m suing her for defamation of character because she just literally said two days ago that I used a fake ID when I went to jail and gave them the wrong age, and she’s just making a big thing out of…so let’s just…I know that’s a lot to…” Seales then remarked, “I just…can’t we all get along?” to which Bambi admitted, “No, we cannot, ma’am. We are suing people.”

K. Michelle Claims She Was Paid More Than Joseline Hernandez On “LHHATL”

Recently, Joseline Hernandez spoke with Carlos King about her time on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, revealing how much she was paid. She claimed that she was the highest-paid of the entire cast, describing how the network continued to give her raises to keep her on the show. “Second season, I was making like $15,000, and then like by the end of second season I went up to like $20,000…they just kept bumping me up,” she explained. “They was just throwing money at me they was like ‘we don’t want her not to come to work’…they would just bump me up. They did that for years.”

K. Michelle, however, has other thoughts. She recently took to social media to argue Hernandez’ claim that she was the highest-paid on the show, saying that it was actually her. “Ummm now y’all don’t have to like me but everything I told y’all has been true,” she began. “I normally wouldn’t even say anything but it is an accomplishment of me and my lawyer.”

K. Michelle Says She Was Highest-Paid Of The Show

“I was definitely the highest paid cast member,” she continued. “Sorry that just the truth. I did very well there. I started off season 1 at $25,000 I by the time I left I was way over 50,000 per episode and had 3 seasons of my own show on an actual network.” K. Michelle added, “I don’t say much but numbers don’t lie. I’m just speaking facts.” She went on, claiming that she was one of the few cast members to use the show to further their career.

“They would even have to limit peoples appearances to pay me and stay in budget. LHH did great for me. It taught me how to be smart about my movements. Other than Cardi and Jason Lee there is no one who used the show to their benefit like me. I was smart.” Share your thoughts in the comments section below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on K. Michelle.

Lyrica Anderson Defends Erica Mena’s “Monkey” Comment, Van Lathan Calls Her “Vile”

Erica Mena has recently been under fire for using a racial slur against Spice on an episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. The two of them got into it, and it’s safe to say that things were taken too far. When Spice made a comment about Mena’s family life, she fired back by calling her a “blue monkey.” This has resulted in a great deal of backlash for the personality, and has even led to her being removed from the next season of the show.

The reality star has been hit with a lot of criticism for her use of the slur. Van Lathan also spoke on the incident recently, claiming that it showcases an “anti-Black attitude.” He broke down his take, explaining that her “proximity to Blackness” doesn’t excuse her for having having racist tendencies. “Erica Mena called Spice a ‘monkey,’” Lathan also said. “That is an anti-Black slur, meant to dehumanize Black women, Black people. Until further notice, Erica Mena is a vile, racist woman.”

Lyrica Anderson Speaks On Erica Mena’s Use Of A Slur

Though Mena has been facing her fair share of criticism for using the slur, others have come to her defense. Recently, Lyrica Anderson took to social media to share her own thoughts on the situation. She seemed to claim that Mena didn’t really do anything wrong. Anderson’s take is that when people get heated in an argument, they’re not thinking about what is and isn’t appropriate to say. “It’s like rules to arguing now,” she says. “Are you really thinking about how to argue with somebody when you’re mad mad?”

Amid the controversy, some social media users have dug up old reports about a similar incident that allegedly took place in 2015. A club promoter had come forward, alleging that Mena called her and members of her staff “Black, broke, monkeys.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
