Nicki Minaj Reacts To Eve’s “Groundbreaking” Admission About Working With Her On “Barbershop”

Nicki Minaj shared a lengthy tribute to Eve on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, after the iconic rapper discussed their relationship candidly in her new memoir, Who’s That Girl. Eve had revealed that she gained a newfound respect for Minaj while the two collaborated on Barbershop: The Next Cut. In response, Minaj labeled the revelations from her memoir, “groundbreaking.”

She wrote: “The level of grace; the level of emotional & spiritual maturity it takes to be this vulnerable & transparent is a sign of TRUE peace, happiness, fulfillment, & mastery of self. Self reflection @ its height. I always say that I think accountability is the sexiest trait a person can have.” From there, she reflected on being a fan of Eve’s work since she was a young kid in New York City.

Minaj also admitted she was “so nervous” working with Eve on Barbershop: The Next Cut and thought that the iconic rapper didn’t like her. “I was so nervous coming onto that movie set every day,” she recalled. “You looked like a pro & I admired that so much. Thank you for trying to not do to me what was done to you. Women feel so much pressure to compete & it’s a shame b/c we usually have so much in common & could rlly benefit from one another just as human beings. We all share so many of the same experiences as artists, wives, moms, ups & downs, anxiety, etc. I remember telling a friend of mine that I didn’t think you liked me after our first day on set together. but you know something crazy? I swear, I KNEW that YOU could tell deep down inside that I really liked YOU. So you went easy on me.”

Kanye West Settles Battery Lawsuit Over Alleged Autograph Incident

Kanye West seemingly has one less legal issue to handle, as he settled his battery lawsuit according to In Touch Weekly. Moreover, for those unaware, he faced this claim in February in Los Angeles Superior Court from an autograph collector who claimed that Ye struck him and threatened him when he approached him for a signature in January of 2022. This took place near a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles, and the autograph enthusiast in question (Justin Poplawski) reportedly told the court that the settlement covers the whole debacle. Apparently, both parties came to a final understanding around September 11.

Elsewhere, Kanye West is probably trying his best to balance his new music sessions, his travels with his wife Bianca Censori, and his other business endeavors while also dealing with the fallout of his alleged actions and his confirmed behavior. He continues to be a focal point of controversy for various reasons, whether it’s sexual harassment allegations or disappointed fans following VULTURES 2. A third installment is allegedly on the way, but we all know how hectic and unfulfilled these album rollouts can be.

In fact, it appears like Kanye West fans have instead taken matters into their own hands when it comes to new music. A fan seemingly hacked his Spotify page and uploaded the Ty Dolla $ign VULTURES leftover “GUN TO MY HEAD” featuring Kid Cudi, which was previously only available digitally. Interestingly enough, it wasn’t visible for every single user and it seems like this was by no means an intentional or official release. Given just how bizarre and glitchy the VULTURES releases turned out, we’re not surprised that Ye continues to deal with some weird uploads.

Meanwhile, Kanye West and Bianca Censori have never flinched amid his many controversies, going out in lewd and striking fashion all around the world. Ye keeps this attitude up across pretty much everything he does, for better or worse. Nevertheless, we’ll see what becomes of his other lawsuits on the table, as he has a lot of accusations and legal discrepancies to handle. Although, considering the Chicago artist’s previous billionaire status, maybe many settlements don’t sound so bad.

Azealia Banks Randomly & Viciously Drags SZA For “Ugly” RZA Collaboration

Azealia Banks is verbally attacking SZA once more, and this may be her most scathing set of comments yet. According to HipHopDX, the New York singer and rapper appears to be going after the R&B phenom for no reason whatsoever over a past RZA team-up. As per usual, she took to X (Twitter) and kicked things off by saying, “Sza is really such an ugly person for having rza on her album after asking me to be on it, Me politely and honestly declining, after news of him trying to pimp me out to Russell Crowe broke. That was really a huge slap in the face and truest sign of a b**** who will always be ugly”.

Then, after attacking her character, Banks insulted SZA’s looks. “Sis can get all the procedures in the world. She’ll always be that insecure fat Muslim girl from New Jersey with the big chin and the gay husband”. Then, she kicked dirt in the SOS creator’s face by placing a crude “curse” on her. “Cursed with a lifetime supply of fresh out the bootyhole d**k in her mouth for eternity… Lmfao b**** ya p**sy HARAM FOH”. This all appears to be in relation to Ctrl, as SZA did have the Wu-Tang affiliate assist her in rolling out the 2017 project.

Azealia Banks Is Going After SZA Again

But this appears to have cut even deeper for Banks, as she references the Russell Crowe incident in her first tweet. If you remember back in 2016, Azealia was on pace to sign a record deal with RZA. However, that all came to a crashing end after the two MC’s attended a party at the actor’s home. Banks claimed to be physically removed and that she was also verbally and physically attacked by Crowe. RZA defended his friend, saying that Banks was “erratic” and “obnoxious” and that she was instigating things first. Since then, she has had beef with both males and SZA seems to be collateral in a sense with this rant.

Chingy Assures He’s Not “Down Bad” & Drops Out Of Donald Trump’s LGBT Event After Immense Backlash

Chingy has decided not to perform at the Log Cabin Republicans’ upcoming Red White & Rock concert in Nashville, Tennesee after facing tons of backlash on social media for doing so. When Baller Alert shared a compilation of the criticism on Instagram, Chingy hopped in the comments to defend his initial decision to perform. He argued that he’s not a supporter of Donald Trump and was just doing his job.

“I’m a say this one time,” he began. “My job is to perform and get paid to perform, not caurr [sic] about politics. Now y’all find [something] else to do with yurr [sic] time.” As fans joked in response that he was “down bad” financially, he fired back: “You can’t be down bad when you just bought a 500k house. Those people don’t hate me because they love my music. Music isn’t racist and that’s how I play it… I’m a performers w[h]ether theses [sic] people political homosexual or whatever they all love music… [M]y job as an artist is to perform and make timeless music.”

After giving birth to her third child, Cardi B didn’t take long before heading back to the gym and working hard on her post-pregnancy body. As she recently showed off in some Instagram Story posts, this clearly paid off, as fans can’t believe her slim new figure just two weeks out of childbirth. Moreover, the Bronx femcee took to the social media platform on Saturday (September 21) to flaunt her geisha-inspired fit ahead of a friend’s themed party at a New York City nightclub. We have to commend her for not only living up to her own expectations and goals, but for also being very transparent about this as a personal process, not something that anyone else needs to live up to.

However, these new developments in Cardi B’s life aren’t always positive. For example, she recently had to say goodbye to her good friend Star Brim due to her prison sentence on RICO charges, and it was a pretty emotional moment. While some might assume that these circumstances could drive friends apart, it seems like they actually feel stronger in their bond due to their sadness over this situation. We’ll see whether Cardi provides us with updates on Star Brim’s status or if they will instead reconnect further down the line.

But the mother of three already clapped back at these claims, so we’ll see if anything actually comes of that case. After all, it could just be an easily rectified misunderstanding.

Meanwhile, this is not all that Cardi B’s done to celebrate her post-pregnancy life. A huge part of this, obviously, is just introducing her daughter to the world, including sharing some wholesome moments with her father Offset. We hope that there’s much more where that came from down the line. And in any case, props to Cardi for achieving what she set out to do with her post-pregnancy body.

Throughout 2024, you could make arguments for multiple artists being the rapper of the year. Kendrick Lamar is perhaps the most MVP candidate, thanks to slaying the beast that is Drake. From his diss tracks to his surprise feature on “Like That” and being named the Super Bowl Halftime performer, he’s essentially taken back the crown as the biggest in the game. Then, there’s a case to be made for Playboi Carti as well. His numerous releases on Instagram had his fans in an absolute chokehold, especially with his album being teased. Furthermore, he’s been on some of the biggest songs of the year such as “CARNIVAL” and “Type S***”.

You also can’t forget about “ALL RED”, which has over 51 million streams in just 10 days. It’s built even more excitement around the now confirmed, I AM MUSIC, which could be coming before year’s end. However, despite all of these incredible achievements, each rapper has done things in their own way, especially in terms of their music. It’s why a lot of people aren’t buying a recent claim from controversial hip-hop media figure, Adam22, that they have something in the works. This would break the internet, but we can agree this is a stretch by Adam.

Diddy Accused Of “Literally Assaulting Men” By Former Da Band Member

While Diddy waits behind bars for his federal trial on sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges, folks continue to accuse him of abhorrent behavior. Most recently, Freddy P of Da Band, one of Sean Combs’ various Bad Boy Records artists, spoke with The Art Of Dialogue to accuse him of various concerning acts. The music executive pleaded not guilty to all federal charges against him and has vehemently denied other allegations against him.

“He’s literally assaulting men,” Freddy P claimed of Diddy. “It may be common nowadays, but for a man to walk up and slap your a** and say ‘Let me get your number’ or ‘Come to my hotel room,’ that s**t is not normal and I never heard no s**t like that in my lifetime for no man to approach you like that. And he’s done it several times. I could imagine that Puffy approaches these guys going through financial situations. When things ain’t hot no more, you fall back on people like him. He preys on you.” “It’s a lot of rappers out here that have secrets because they fell into these situations with Puffy. And I know this personally,” he added.

Freddy P’s Accusations Against Diddy

“One day, I was waking up, and I was in a mood,” Freddy P recalled while explaining why he distanced himself from Da Band and Diddy. “I’m in the studio, I’m snapping or whatever. I didn’t even want to be f***ed with. You know when you around a bunch of goofies and you a street n***a, sometimes you don’t want to be around the nerds. So I’m in that b***h; I’m just frustrated with a lot of s**t going on.

“Anyway, we get into a situation,” Freddy P continued. “We in front of everybody, n***a like, ‘Man, what, you think you ’bout it or something?’ [Diddy] was like, ‘N***a, I’ll buy every house on your block, shut every light off in that b***h, and every time you come out that b***h you’ll get popped.’ When he tell you some s**t like that, you go to picture him purchasing every house.
