Anderson .Paak And Gwen Stefani Could Medal In Vibes Based On Their ‘Hello World (Song Of The Olympics)’ Video

The 2024 Paris Olympics will kick off on Friday, July 26. Céline Dion and Lady Gaga are expected to perform at the opening ceremony, but Anderson .Paak and Gwen Stefani got a head start.

On Thursday, July 25, Anderson .Paak and Stefani released “Hello World (Song of The Olympics™)” with a video posted to the Olympics’ official YouTube channel.

“The Olympics and The Coca-Cola Company teamed up with Ryan Tedder, Gwen Stefani, and Anderson .Paak to create a song that celebrates the magic that happens when the world comes together at the Olympic Games,” the YouTube description reads.

Tedder co-produced and co-wrote the feel-good anthem. In the video, .Paak sets the tone by singing, “Hello, world, where ya been? / I’ve been waiting for you and your friends / One love begins / Tip-top, we’re starting at ten / If you believe that we can make some magic happen, say yeah.”

.Paak’s performance is spliced with footage of Olympic athletes being generally awesome, and eventually, we’re joined by a glittery Stefani. “I was mindin’ my business, taking care of business,” she sings. “Doin’ my thing / Woke up in the middle of the night like, ‘Ooh’ / Heard the telephone ring / I don’t need to tell you, I don’t need to explain / It’s ‘Hello World,’ we showin’ up, we changing the game.”

The 2024 Paris Olympics will run from July 26 to August 11, and you can expect to hear this song umpteen times in between.

Boosie Badazz Demands Yung Bleu To Pay Up Amid Contract Dispute

Boosie Badazz and Yung Bleu have been going back and forth over a financial dispute for quite a while now, and evidently, Boosie has no plans of letting up. During a recent interview with VladTV, the Louisiana-born rapper called out Yung Bleu for the performance of his new album Jeremy, mocking him for seemingly taking a financial loss. Despite his jokes, however, Boosie says he’s not actually hoping Yung Bleu fails.

Instead, Boosie claims he’s simply looking to receive the money he feels he’s due. He thinks Yung Bleu’s fans feel the same way he does too, and that the performer’s album sales reflect that. “I just think a lot of Yung Bleu fans want him to just do the right thing and pay up,” he explained. “The facts are on the table, bro.”

Boosie Badazz Wants His Money

He continued, putting Yung Bleu on blast for allegedly forging his signature and then claiming they couldn’t find him. “I don’t get off on his project not doing well because the better he do, the better I do… I ain’t praying on his downfall.” Boosie also added that his fans would be likely to support Yung Bleu if he were to make things right, which would surely give him a boost. Unfortunately, however, Boosie’s dispute with Yung Bleu is far from his only concern at the moment.

Yesterday, he took to X to reveal that he’s been indicted once again on a gun charge that a judge previously dismissed. He also claimed that he’s been hit with a new drug-related charge. Boosie accused the federal prosecutor of racism, claiming that if he weren’t a popular rapper he wouldn’t be in this position. What do you think of Boosie Badazz continuing to demand the money he thinks Yung Bleu owes him? What about him claiming he doesn’t actually want to see the performer fail? Action Bronson Talks To Apple Music About His “Beef” With David Schwimmer And Getting Covid From Mel Gibson

unnamed 75

Action Bronson sits down with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to talk about his new album Johann Sebastian Bachlava The Doctor. In the wide-ranging interview, Action Bronson talks about recently getting arrested in France, how he got Covid from Mel Gibson, his “beef” with David Schwimmer, and his favorite Olympics moment.

He also shares lessons learned from fatherhood, his painting and where his artistic inspiration comes from, and what made him start to prioritize his health.

Action Bronson Tells Apple Music About Recently Getting Arrested In France…

Action Bronson: I went on vacation for 10 days. In Paris, I got locked up with my fucking driver. I was going to get pastries. My family were leaving. And I take him, we  go nine in the morning to my man Bertrand’s spot Tapestry. He had a box waiting for me. Fucking, we get caught at the light. There’s two cops over there. They’re talking to the driver. The driver’s wearing a suit and he has some sort of pin, and they questioned him about the pin. And apparently the pin is like, you work for the president. And they’re not having it because the Olympics are coming. So they pull them out, they question him. They arrested him for impersonating a police officer. They bring me in. They refuse to speak English, but they still leave me with the phone. I’m just like, “Yo, bro, I’m just trying to get to my family.”

Zane Lowe: I got my pastries.

Action Bronson: I didn’t get the pastries yet. So three hours. My man has to make the phone call. Somehow I text him, he calls them. He’s like, “Yo,” he calls the precinct. “He has the key to the city in Lyon, the mayor. This is going to cause a scandal, blah, blah, blah.” Somehow they fucking let me out. Three hours later I got the pastries, but my family had already left, so I was very angry. But there was no consolation except the pastry. I was just fucking pissed. I’m just saying, that’s how I started the tour.

Action Bronson Talks To Apple Music About What Changed To Make Him Start Prioritizing His Health…

It was actually shame. It was a shame that I had let myself get there, because I’ve always been an athlete. I was like, “What the fuck is going on? What is this?” Wearing fucking mumu shirts. I still like a good comfortable shirt, but my Lord, I was like, “What is this?” And having a brand new baby, you want to be around. I want to be around forever.

Action Bronson Tells Apple Music The Story About How Mel Gibson Gave Him Covid…

Zane Lowe: Mel Gibson did give you COVID.

Action Bronson: That’s a fact. I mean, I don’t like to tell this story, but I will. That bastard gave it to me for sure. It was at UFC, McConor Gregory. I mean, pah, McConor Gregory… Conor McGregor and fucking Dustin Poirier part three. This was the COVID days. He turned around, we were the only ones there at the prelims. There was no one there. It was just me and him. He turned, I was sat here. He sat in front. He turned around and kept saying shit to me in my face, like commenting on the punch and commenting on the kick. And then everyone got it. Me and four other guys got it.

Ice Spice Initially Understood Her ‘Friendly Competition’ With Latto, But Now She Thinks It’s ‘Just Dragged Out’

In January, Ice Spice dropped “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)” and quickly confirmed the song dissed Latto. Ice Spice and Latto have been caught in a perceived beef for months, and Ice Spice is over it.

“I feel like if we ever spoke, and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare,” Ice Spice told Rolling Stone as the cover star of the September 2024 issue. “It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.”

The Bronx-bred rapper continued, “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U The Sh*t’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of sh*t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you, and you’re making it about me … again.”

So, about the aforementioned cake: Last month, Latto posted a photo of a poop emoji cake with the message, “Think I’m the sh*t, b*tch?????” The cake was meant to congratulate Latto for becoming the first-ever woman to headline Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash, as noted by Billboard.

Ice Spice has bigger things to worry about, anyway. Y2K!, her debut studio album, is set to release on Friday, July 26, and she has “crazy” and “risky” plans for the rest of 2024.

Y2K! is out 7/26 via 10K Projects/Capitol Records. Find more information here.

Eminem & Slim Shady To Roast Eachother In Digital “Face-Off”

Earlier this month, Eminem unleashed his new album The Death Of Slim Shady, which sees him try to take down his iconic alter ego for good. Now, it looks like he’s leaning into this theme once again in an upcoming digital short. The short was created in collaboration with Complex, and will put both Eminem and Slim Shady to the test in an 11-minute “roast battle.” The outlet shared a preview for the short today, and it will be released in full on July 29.

In the teaser, a Slim Shady deepfake sits across from Eminem, terrorizing him as they argue about getting canceled. “Only when the dust settles do we discover which one wins the war for the soul of Eminem,” Complex teases. From the looks of things, Slim Shady isn’t letting up, but neither is Em.

Complex Drops Teaser For Slim Shady Vs. Marshall Mathers “Face-Off”

The trippy trailer has fans praising both Eminem and Complex for their creative use of artificial intelligence, and looking forward to seeing what’s to come. The digital battle is sure to be a fun addition to the project, which has already been a major success. The Death Of Slim Shady earned Eminem his 11th No. 1 on the Billboard 200, breaking Taylor Swift’s 12-week streak with The Tortured Poets Department. It moved 287K copies in its first week alone, and that’s without physical sales, as hard copies have yet to ship.

Eminem’s also celebrating some less conventional feats following the eagerly anticipated release. His 42-second-long interlude “Trouble” is now the second shortest song ever to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. What do you think of Eminem teaming up with Complex for a digital face-off with his alter ego? Are you looking forward to seeing who comes out on top on July 29? Tony Yayo Calls Ja Rule An “Industry Plant” Who He Will “Never” Respect

Tony Yayo once again showed why G-Unit and Ja Rule will never reconcile. In an interview with DJ Vlad, Yayo and Vlad had a discussion about the greatest rapper of all time. Dr. Dre recently called Eminem the greatest to ever do it. Yayo co-signed Dre’s opinion, adding that he had Em in his top five, but couldn’t disagree with Dre’s opinion. He talked about the value of statistics, mentioning that Eminem is still breaking records nearly a quarter of a century into his mainstream career. He uttered a familiar phrase: “men lie, women lie, numbers don’t,” suggesting a belief that commercial success is the greatest measure of a rapper’s status in the industry.

The conversation between Vlad and Tony Yayo went from the greatest rapper of all time to Yayo creating his Mount Rushmore of Queens rappers. The two of them went through a list. They did not quite settle on a Mount Rushmore, but Vlad was quick to note that Ja Rule’s name did not come up. Vlad argued that Ja should be in conversations over the Lost Boys. Especially if one of Yayo’s own measures for success is how well one performs commercially. For a period, Ja Rule was among the most popular rappers around, along with DMX, OutKast, Eminem, and of course, 50 Cent.

Tony Yayo Insults Ja Rule, Again

“He was like the industry plant early, Ja Rule […],” said Tony Yayo in the clip. “Ja Rule was a buster to me. I don’t know him. He’s from the other side of town. He’s a buster to me, and he’s still a buster. Irv [Gotti]’s a buster, Irv’s brother’s a buster, and they’re all busters to me.” When questioned about Ja’s ability to sell records at his peak, Yayo responded by calling him a buster again. He disregarded his sales and reiterated that the Lost Boys deserve to be on that list instead of him.

Tony Yayo’s response is not surprising. The 50 Cent-led G-unit camp and Ja Rule have had issues for over twenty years. 50, along with Eminem, contributed greatly to ending Ja’s run as a commercially viable rapper, with a series of diss tracks that kneecapped his credibility. Em once again took aim at him on The Death of Slim Shady. With this interview, Yayo is the latest 50 Cent affiliate to remind fans that the participants in this long-running beef will probably never reach a truce.
