Aside from Lil Uzi Vert’s recently released Pink Tape, Travis Scott’s UTOPIA is one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2023. The father of two has been dropping hints about his upcoming work for months now. He may have even hinted at a potential release date on a recent billboard. Even without any new music out, Scott has also been back on the festival circuit this year. Most recently, he made a trip overseas to perform at various events across Europe.

While headlining Longitude Festival in Dublin, Ireland, the Houston native brought his new collaboration with LUV, “Aye” to the stage for the first time. That obviously made headlines along with other Pink Tape promotional antics. However, what’s really got the world talking is Scott’s show in Milan, Italy. According to news reports, it impacted not only attendees but also Mother Earth in a very serious way.

As shown in the video on the last slide of the post above, Travis’ fans were so eager to see him back in action that a literal earthquake took place. “This ni**a different Thanos $cott,” one Instagram user wrote under @ourgenerationmusic’s post. “Firefighters [received] hundred of calls from the [neighbourhood], window and floor [trembling]. At the end, we’re Italian Travis fans,” someone else who was seemingly at the show shared in the comments.

Others were quick to compare the incident to the rapper’s deadly 2021 concert, which forced him to spend several months out of the spotlight as blame was thrown his way for the tragic crowd crush that unfolded. Speaking of Astroworld Festival, it was announced last month that Travis Scott could face criminal charges over the fatal catastrophic event. Lil Wayne’s Essence Festival Dance Moves Will Leave You Smiling: Watch

Lil Wayne is a man of great confidence – he did say that he’s his own only worthy Verzuz competitor, after all. From the stage to the studio, the Young Money leader has never shied away from speaking his truth and letting his bold personality shine through. Sometimes that finds Weezy ending live performances early due to a lacklustre response from his audience, and other times it shows him making surprise appearances and having a blast on stage.

The latter happened this past weekend at New Orleans’ Essence Festival. Wayne wasn’t on the lineup alongside headliners like Lauryn Hill and Megan Thee Stallion, however, locals were still happy to see Tha Carter himself in an all-pink Rick Owens outfit. In one video that’s making rounds online, Wayne pulls out a Michael Jackson-esque dance routine for his audience, though it was definitely lacking the King of Pop’s sharpness.

“Michael Jackson on moon rocks ,” one IG user joked in @2cool2bl0g’s IG comments. “Old Wayne would’ve been dissin’ new Wayne,” someone else suggested. Thankfully there are still those who expressed their joy at seeing the “How to Love” hitmaker in good spirits. The smile that spreads across his face at the end of his dance break proves that Wayne was feeling himself, regardless of what any critics might have to say about him.

During his time on the Essence Festival stage, the Southern star rapped “A Milli” and other hits from his discography. While those in person at the event caught it live, people tuning in at home failed to witness Weezy’s appearance as it wasn’t included in the Hulu live stream. The ladies of hip-hop and R&B brought plenty of heat to the Essence Festival stage this past weekend. From Janelle Monae continuing her salacious flashing streak during her performance to Megan Thee Stallion captivating us with her usual twerking antics, we’ve truly seen it all. The latter artist was a headliner at the annual event on Sunday (June 2) evening, following Lauryn Hill’s astonishing (albeit late) set the night before.

She hasn’t given us new music since 2022’s Traumazine, but still, the Houston Hottie has been booked and busy with performances over the past few months. Her first show of the year was at the AT&T Block Party, followed more recently by LA’s Pride in the Park celebration. All of them saw Thee Stallion shaking her booty in full force, though her most recent left plenty of jaws on the floor as her cake continues to grow thanks to all the hard work she’s been putting in at the gym.

During her time on stage, the Revlon ambassador ran through some of her discography’s biggest hits, including “Big Ole Freak,” “Body,” and “Plan B.” Elsewhere she performed her verse from Cardi B’s “WAP,” as well as the “S*vage (Remix),” sans Beyonce.

At Pride, Thee Stallion’s costume was black and silver in colour, leaving her shining bright like a diamond. For Essence Fest, she stepped out in a golden ensemble that gives a bold view of her chest and behind. On Sunday (July 2), adorable videos of Rihanna showing off her snowcone-making skills began going viral. The 35-year-old has a natural glow to her, wearing an unbuttoned denim skirt and a black tank top to show off her ready-to-burst baby bump. According to Just Jared, “Snowcone Man” Andrew Maynard specially delivered the sweet treat to the National Hero, and the Bad Gal happily obliged to pose for a photo with him and Rocky.

However, not everyone has found the clip that funny. JT most recently made headlines for reportedly assaulting Uzi while at the BET Awards last weekend. Per reports, the City Girl threw a phone at Uzi over them shouting out Ice Spice during their performance. It appears that the phone-throwing incident was just the start of the drama between the couple this week. JT’s representative told TMZ that the blowup was over the rapper losing her seat during the event. Then images of JT and Uzi embracing at the release of The Pink Tape emerged, suggesting that the couple was doing alright.

Meanwhile, Trick Daddy came out with a very strongly-worded defense of JT. “Y’all know when I get live I got some shit to say,” Trick said. “Let me explain something to you n****s. If you not from Miami, if you not from the state of Florida, leave our Miami and Florida bitches alone if you don’t understand them. “All y’all bitches got something to say about JT. ‘Oh, she was ratchet, too ghetto.’ That’s what you get when you fuck with a Miami bitch. As fans continue to eat that up, it seems Cardi has been hard at work on another joint effort that’s sure to be stuck in our heads this summer.
