DJ Paul Sued For Reposting Texas Tornado Video

DJ Paul is back in the headlines again but for nothing music related. This time he is in some legal problems with a company by the name of Viral DRM. This original video was captured by a man named Ronald Brian Emfinger and it is of a tornado that tore up part of Elgin, Texas. It is a small town that is 25 miles east of downtown Austin with a small population of right around 8000.

The rights were bought by Viral DRM, which according to their website, “Was founded by the world’s leading content creators who have captured many of the world’s major weather and news events. We work with our professional colleagues and partners in rights management, copyright, and licensing of video and photographic content.” With that in mind, DJ Paul is being sued for copyright infringement for reposting the video with no permission granted. Viral DM is suing since they are claiming they have the ability to make money from the clip. However, Paul’s reposting has made that a challenge, and that, therefore, is the reason for this lawsuit.

How Much Damage Did The Tornado Cause?

Apparently, multiple tornadoes hit different parts of Texas and the town of Elgin happened to be in the crossfire. It was reported that responders originally identified 60 plus homes that were damaged or totally wiped out. Trees were also being uprooted by the violent winds. Furthermore, they also knocked down multiple power lines in the area. Elgin officials publicly stated one person received an injury that was non-life-threatening.

The Yeezus rapper has been foregoing shoes in favour of touching grass – or cobblestone – with his bare feet. His wife has been implementing plenty of pantyhose into her wardrobe, and even freeing the nipple with sheer tops on more than one occasion.

We saw them out on Monday (August 7), getting cozy ahead of Ye’s surprise appearance at Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus performance. Since then, a video of them enjoying a luxurious Italian dinner with close friends is also making rounds online. Rather than listening to the latest music arrivals with their meal, the group decided to go back in time with the Black Eyed Peas’ 2009 hit, “I Gotta Feeling.” Several of them got up out of their chairs to dance and sing along, including West and Censori.

As many viewers are noting in the comments, seeing the father of four with such a big smile on his face is undeniably infectious. It’s likely a combination of the feel-good song, his beautiful wife, the delicious food, and being in breathtaking Italy that has him feeling at the top of his game, along with his return to the stage during Scott’s UTOPIA show.

Rumours of another pregnancy have been following Ciara since 2023 since began. Though they may not have been true at the time, the 37-year-old confirmed on Tuesday (August 8), that she and Wilson are now expecting their third baby together. “‘You look at me like that again, we make another kid / You my heart, I’m your rib’ ,” the fashionista wrote in the caption of her latest IG post, which finds her showing off her budding bump in a black-and-white video that was captured poolside.

Ne-Yo Continues Trans Discourse With Another Statement: “I WILL NOT BE BULLIED INTO APOLOGIZING”

After Ne-Yo’s comments about young children changing their gender identity during a VladTV interview went viral, the “So Sick” hitmaker has been feeling the heat. He initially doubled down on his statement that parents should think twice about giving their young ones so much freedom in that department, but later on Monday (August 7), a formal apology appeared on Ne-Yo’s Twitter account. In that, he promised to further educate himself on the LGBTQ+ community so that he could approach future conversations with more empathy. Some were happy enough with that response, but based on his latest IG post, it seems the R&B star may not have approved of the message that went out.

“Ok. This s**t is getting out of hand. FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED INTO APOLOGIZING FOR HAVING AN OPINION. AGREEING TO DISAGREE IS NOT A DECLARATION OF WAR,” the Arkansas native wrote under a black-and-white video posted to his feed a few hours ago. He went on to apologize to anyone hurt by his own imperfections and mistakes before making it clear that he’s not willing to compromise his integrity on the topic of transgender children. “My intention is never to offend anybody…but my opinion is MINE and I’m entitled to it,” Ne-Yo declared.

Seeing as Ne-Yo is a father of seven, we can completely understand why he would want to have a say in his own children’s future. Sexyy Red’s Reaction To DJ Mr. Rogers Missing Her Song Cues Surfaces: Video

Through her come-up so far, Sexyy Red has mostly managed to stay out of drama with other artists. The Hood Hottest Princess did find herself falling victim to Tasha K’s trolling, but thankfully, the rap diva’s mother managed to sort that situation up. This past weekend, however, DJ Mr. Rogers accused Red of cussing him out during a recent performance, at which time he apparently didn’t know the cues to her setlist. “Sexyy Red cussed me out today for not knowing her show cues like I’m her actual DJ,” he tweeted in the early hours of Sunday (August 6). “Love this new generation of artists.”

Rogers’ post makes it sound as though Red lashed out at him in an extreme manner, but a video making rounds on Monday afternoon has many internet users insisting that the drama is nowhere near as serious as it sounds. “Why you turn it off ni**a?!” the Missouri-born entertainer yells into her microphone as her song abruptly stops. “Run that s**t back,” she adds before hyping up another woman at the party twerking away in front of her.

Upon seeing the footage, one person commented, “Nahh ain’t no way he wrote that long ass tweet thread over THIS,” under @2cool2bl0g’s post. “Yoooo it was not that deep. If you read only his tweet and not see this video you would think she had a [wild] Kanye-type stage outburst ,” another user chimed in. Of course, there are still a handful who feel as though the producer was right to call Red out for swearing at him.

Lil Tjay Kicked Out Of Hotel For Blasting Music

Lil Tjay was having a blast at the hotel he was staying in, but not if the employees had something to say about it. A video is making its way on Instagram, where the Bronx rapper is voicing his annoyance with being tossed out for noise complaints. Furthermore, he was at a club tossing singles up the ceiling. Maybe celebrating the recent release of his album 222. After leaving the club the night before, he presumably booked a room at the hotel. The next morning, around 8 a.m. the workers and other guests had enough of the raucous sounds and removed him from the premises.

The auto-crooner shared how he really felt in the video saying, “I’m at this buma** hotel, they just kicked me out.” He goes on, “I walked in there, turn up my music, man they gon’ tell me ‘yo turn the music down.’” Tjay responded saying, “Hold on, hold on, don’t worry we gon’ turn it down right now.” Then the workers come back later and say, “‘Get out the room.’” This video has sparked converse opinions in the comments section of the Instagram video.

Jaidyn Alexis Refuses To Fight Pregnant Chrisean Rock Despite Blueface’s Pleas

If we had a dollar for every time that either Jaidyn Alexis or Chrisean Rock has taken Blueface back over the years, we could buy a gift for the Crazy In Love stars’ unborn baby, at the very least. In recent weeks, the 26-year-old is spending most of his time with his first baby mama. At the same time, Rock is weeks away from giving birth to their child. Try as hard as she might to leave, the Baltimore native continues to be pulled back to Blue. This is disappointing for fans, given the nasty comments he’s made about her online. Last week, he and Alexis found themselves feuding, at which time he apparently called Rock to come pick him up.

Against her better judgment, the 23-year-old obliged, though she was met by a very angry Jaidyn upon arrival. At the time, the “Stewie” artist allegedly threatened Rock. Rather than feud, the Baddies cast member refused to get out of the car she was in with a friend. We’ve since seen her and Blueface trading shots on Twitter early on Sunday (August 6), and later in the afternoon, he hopped on Instagram Live to discuss the drama with fans.

Lizzo Spoke About “Having A Rough Day” In Interview Days Before Facing Lawsuit: Watch

Lizzo is most often in the news for topics surrounding body positivity, but a lawsuit that hit the news cycle last week alleged that the Detroit native’s attitude is anything but accepting behind closed doors. Three of her dancers are taking legal action against their former boss, claiming that she fired one of them after commenting on their weight gain, pressured them into touching nude dancers at an Amsterdam strip club, and acted out in aggression toward her team. The internet has been divided on the discourse, as well as the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker’s response to the gossip, but an attorney recently hinted that we could see Lizzo in court over the accusations of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.

In another update on the investigation, DailyMail reports that the plus-sized ambassador spoke about having a “rough day” during a 60 Minutes interview just days before word of her dancer’s claims went public. At the time, Lizzo was in the midst of touring through Australia, No one on the show’s production team was aware of the allegations against her during filming. “Even today, I was having a rough day, I was sad and stuff earlier today,” she vented to host Tom Steinfort.

Open Mike Eagle Drops “WFLD 32” With Video Dave, Eshu Tune & STILL RIFT

Open Mike Eagle has been a unique talent in the underground for years now, and his talents never fail to impress. Moreover, he just released a new single titled “WFLD 32” alongside Eshu Tune (better known as Hannibal Buress), as well as frequent rap collaborators Video Dave and STILL RIFT. Overall, this is quite a woozy, often comical, but nonetheless engaging piece of abstract-tinged hip-hop with a lot of sharp lines and descriptions. Most importantly, each MC comes through with their own mood and approach, whether it’s in lyrical or performance terms. In addition, the cut boasts production from Kenny Segal, who recently teamed up with billy woods for the excellent LP Maps.

Furthermore, the beat here is led by some ghostly and dusty piano key loops, enveloping the track in a hazy cloud. With warm and similarly lo-fi boom-bap drums with a slower tempo, it creates a languid but laidback atmosphere. Of course, sonic pallets like this mean that the lyrics take center stage, and the MCs here don’t slouch on that metric. Open Mike Eagle talks about his desire to be the best in the game and proves his chops with intricate rhyme schemes and clever turns of phrase. Eshu Tune brings some vivid and nostalgic bars, whereas Video Dave and STILL RIFT come through with some slightly more cold-blooded and rough deliveries that provide a nice contrast.

Meanwhile, this is an exciting track considering that Mike is following up his last album very soon. Apparently this is a single for Open Mike Eagle’s next project, another triumph of ghetto engineering, which is believed to come out in August of this year. As such, we can expect all the lyrical density, wit, charm, and soothing soundscapes that the Chicago-born MC is so skilled at delivering.
