DJ Paul Reveals He Was With Krayzie Bone Just One Day Prior To Being Hospitalized

According to DJ Paul, things seemed to be going fine with Krayzie Bone. So much so, that the duo was in the studio together just a day before the scary news that the Cleveland native went to the hospital. The rapper suffers from a rare disease called sarcoidosis. It is described as an inflammatory disease that causes the organs to become covered in lumpy nodes called granuloma. Luckily, they are not cancerous, according to Mayo Clinic. “They are a defensive mechanism that triggers the body to “wall off” foreign invaders such as bacteria or fungi to keep them from spreading,” according to their website.

He was coughing up blood due to a leaky lung artery and unfortunately, the emergency surgery was unsuccessful. TMZ reported that he is going to be having another surgery soon as he is currently being sedated as well. These are scary and heartbreaking times right now, and we wish the best for Krayzie and his family and friends. What makes this even more saddening is that he and DJ Paul were just in the studio the day before.

DJ Paul Responds To Crunchy Black’s Theory About Gangsta Boo’s Death

Many of those close to Gangsta Boo gained some closure back in June when the Southern starlet’s death was confirmed as an accidental overdose. Despite the official reports, there were still those with suspicions about the circumstances of the situation, including Crunchy Black. Earlier this week, the rapper took to social media with allegations of Gangsta’s brother, E Gutta (or Eric Mitchell), being responsible for her passing. According to Crunchy, his friend’s sibling was resentful of her for not financially supporting him and even spoke about acting out in violence toward Boo during his time in jail.

“I’m bout to reach out to yo whole family and tell them everything you used to be talking about in prison when it came to Boo. Imma start wit your mama because she needs to know her son ain’t shit,” he wrote, turning of plenty of heads his way. Since Black’s damning post, several people in the comments suggest he should turn this information over to the authorities. On Thursday (August 34), DJ Paul confirmed that what the 49-year-old is talking about is already common knowledge among police.

DJ Paul Suggests Authorities Are Aware of Suspicion Surrounding Gangsta Boo’s Brother

“They have it,” the Three 6 Mafia co-founder commented on an IG post. “They have her phone and they know who did it.” Paul didn’t explicitly name Gutta as the person responsible for Gangsta’s death, but he didn’t deny Black’s allegations either. As the story continues to gain more traction, only time will tell if authorities have enough evidence to make a case against Mitchell for allegedly killing his sister.

Despite her untimely death, hip-hop hasn’t allowed Gangsta Boo’s name to go unremembered. Back in the spring, Juicy J shared a posthumous feature from the late legend on his Mental Trillness album, and we’re still awaiting updates on her first solo album since 2003. DJ Paul Sued For Reposting Texas Tornado Video

DJ Paul is back in the headlines again but for nothing music related. This time he is in some legal problems with a company by the name of Viral DRM. This original video was captured by a man named Ronald Brian Emfinger and it is of a tornado that tore up part of Elgin, Texas. It is a small town that is 25 miles east of downtown Austin with a small population of right around 8000.

The rights were bought by Viral DRM, which according to their website, “Was founded by the world’s leading content creators who have captured many of the world’s major weather and news events. We work with our professional colleagues and partners in rights management, copyright, and licensing of video and photographic content.” With that in mind, DJ Paul is being sued for copyright infringement for reposting the video with no permission granted. Viral DM is suing since they are claiming they have the ability to make money from the clip. However, Paul’s reposting has made that a challenge, and that, therefore, is the reason for this lawsuit.

How Much Damage Did The Tornado Cause?

Apparently, multiple tornadoes hit different parts of Texas and the town of Elgin happened to be in the crossfire. It was reported that responders originally identified 60 plus homes that were damaged or totally wiped out. Trees were also being uprooted by the violent winds. Furthermore, they also knocked down multiple power lines in the area. Elgin officials publicly stated one person received an injury that was non-life-threatening.

The Queen of Memphis and former Three 6 Mafia recording artist Gangsta Boo died on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 1) — DJ Paul broke the news to fans on Instagram.

Memphis Fox 13 News reports that Gangsta Boo, real name Lola Mitchell, was found dead at approximately 4 PM CST in Memphis. There is no official word for the cause of death at press time.

Gangsta Boo was seen attending a New Year’s Eve party on Saturday evening via Instagram stories. Artists across the nation shared their condolences on social media following news of Boo’s passing.

Gangsta Boo was the second female member of the iconic Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia, which also included DJ Paul, Juicy J, Chunky Black. Joined the group at 15 years old, Boo is best known for Dirty South classics “Where Dem Dollas At” and “Yeah Hoe.” She parted ways with Three 6 Mafia in 2002 and pursued a solo career that has been idolized by a lot of today’s female hip-hop stars.

Boo recently sat down with Nore and DJ EFN on the hugely popular Drink Champs podcast to share her journey and impact on today’s hip hop.

Gangsta Boo recently collaborated with Latto and fellow Memphis rapper GloRilla on the new hit “FTCU,” released last month on Streamcut/RCA Records.

“Latto has been showing me support for a while,” said Gangsta Boo in a recent interview. “I always see her mentioning my name when they ask her who were some of her inspirations, and when she talked about her dad, she told me that her dad used to support a lot of female rappers and I was one of them. So, that’s kind of how it came about. We just started following each other on the Internet and supporting each other and s—. And yeah, she hit me up last minute. She was like, “Man, I smoked a blunt and had a genius idea. She’s like, ‘The song already done, we already did the video and s— but I want you to be on the outro, the intro or some sort of adlibs.’ I was like, ‘Of course, Latto. I got you, man.’ It was simple just like that. Of course, I would’ve wanted to spit and kill on that mother — but just anytime I can contribute and support any female rapper that I like, that like me back, I’m always down for it.”

Gangsta Boo’s death marks the first hip-hop death of 2023.
