Travis Barker’s Teen Daughter Alabama Compared To Rubi Rose After Previewing New Rap Song

Just because her father, Travis Barker, is the drummer for one of the most famous rock bands in the world doesn’t mean that 17-year-old Alabama Barker has similar aspirations for her own future. Rather, she seems to have her heart set on pursuing a career in rap music. It’s something she’s been plenty of work into as of late, even after previously facing criticism. Following a few studio sessions, the blonde beauty assembled a song which she finally felt ready to share with fans during a TikTok live stream over the weekend.

Rather than focus on her life growing up in the spotlight and wealthy in Calabasas, the teen instead told the story of someone struggling to make their dreams come true with her lyrics. “He told me I’m not gonna make it / I told him you crazy,” she lip-synced along while previewing her song for viewers. “My name is exotic / I get foreign texts when they pay me.” As expected, social media has had plenty to say about Barker’s unnamed song, most of it dissing her.

Alabama Barker Teases Upcoming Music

“What’s funny about Alabama Barker’s lil rap is that if she was rapping about being rich and nepo baby it might actually be enjoyable,” one Twitter user shared their opinion. “[Instead] she over here talking like she came from the gutter or something.” Another person chimed in with, “Alabama Barker done morphed into a light-skinned Rubi Rose,” comparing Travis’ daughter to the Kentucky-born lyricist.

Elsewhere, someone pointed out the irony of Willow Smith, born to a rapper father, making rock bangers while Alabama – daughter to one of the most well-known rockers of all time – is pursuing her aspirations of rap, or “mediocre SoundCloud bops,” as OP put it. “Is this the ‘balance’ that Thanos wanted?” they asked, referring to the infamous Marvel supervillain. Scroll on to read more of the mixed Twitter reactions to Alabama Barker’s latest musical work. Afterward, tell us if you’re interested in hearing more from the nepo baby’s studio sessions in the comments.

Kourtney Kardashian Trades Long Brown Hair For Platinum Blonde Bob

For the mother of 3, attending one of the biggest nights in sports called for a jaw-dropping transformation. Fans caught the arrival of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker at UFC 285, both sporting all-black fits. Inside the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, the couple did not let up on the PDA as onlookers and cameras watched. Perhaps the Blink 182 drummer was smitten with his wife’s brand new platinum blonde hairdo.

The Lemme owner paired a black corset with snakeskin pants and a studded belt with a faux fur-lined coat. When she wasn’t donning her black sunglasses, they sat atop her freshly bleached locks, now cut into a bob. The striking transformation is causing a buzz, as the “Kardashians” star is known for her long natural brown hair. Kourtney premiered her new look in a captionless Instagram photo. The reveal came shortly after she teased the look on her Instagram story, showing the ends of her hair in the process of being dyed.

Kourtney Kardashian Reveals A New Look

Initially, fans compared the look to her younger sister Kim Kardashian who debuted a platinum blonde style at the 2022 Met Gala. Some comments favored her dark hair but most seem to appreciate the fresh image. One user credits Kourtney Kardashian’s husband for her change in style. “Why the leather all the time? Blink 182 aint exactly a metal band.”

In a cryptic follow-up post, the Poosh owner rocks a Blink 182 tee with the caption: “Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood o Las Vegas…with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.” The youngest Kardashian, Khloe, responded to her sister’s latest Instagram post. In a comment, she said, “I have no idea what this caption means, but I love your hair with a side flip!” They say a woman who changes her hair is about to change her life. It might be worth it to keep an eye out for what’s in store for Kourtney Kardashian.

Blackbear Questions A Relationship On His New Single, ‘The Idea’

Just weeks away from his upcoming album In Loving Memory, Blackbear has turned the tables on his newest track. A departure from the angsty, revenge, break-up bop, “GFY,” Blackbear’s latest single, “The Idea” shows a more vulnerable side of the pop-rock singer.

Joined by Travis Barker, Blackbear questions a relationship, asking, “How do you fall asleep without me here? / I see right through you, I see you so clear /Wake up my demons and my biggest fears /Are you in love with me or the idea,” on the song’s chorus. In the verses, he alludes to fame and drug use, saying, “Swear the drugs don’t help me, it’s a problem / This ain’t love, I don’t know what to call it,” as well as, “It’s the same old story, Hollywood’s on fire / Three nights in a row doin’ blow, are you tired?”

In the song’s accompanying music video, directed by Emil Neva, Blackbear and Barker are seen performing in a desert. The performance is juxtaposed with a montage of clips of Blackbear and a woman arguing.

Blackbear recently revealed on social media that In Loving Memory is set to arrive next month.

In a statement accompanied by the release of the album’s lead single, “GFY,” Blackbear revealed that the previously released single is “a fun intermission in an otherwise vulnerable project.” Perhaps the more melodic, downtempo “The Idea” gives us a taste of what to expect from the rest of the album.

Limewire Relaunches As An NFT Marketplace, With New Tokens From Travis Barker, Brandy, And More

An early aughts favorite has returned: Limewire is back, and this time, you won’t have to worry about potentially crapping out your computer with viruses, as the new iteration of Limewire is a 100-percent legal NFT marketplace.

Austrian brothers Paul and Julian Zehetmayr purchased the rights to Limewire back in March, as they announced their plans to convert the once-notorious peer-to-peer file sharing platform into a marketplace for music non-fungible tokens.

“We see a huge demand in the entertainment space for platforms that recognize and appreciate artists for their talent and put them in the driver’s seat,” said the Zehetmayrs in a statement. “Limewire presents a new commercial opportunity for artists of all sizes and genres to engage with their fans, gain more exposure in a unique way, and retain more of their earnings.”

Reigning in the new era of Limewire are artists across a variety of genres, including Brandy, Nicky Jam, Aitch, Dillon Francis, Soulja Boy, and Travis Barker. Some of the NFT products include new music, behind-the-scenes videos, and exclusive artwork.

“I have always been interested in Web3 and NFTs so I am pretty stoked to release my first NFT collection and to do it on Limewire,” said Barker. “I hope that my NFT collection will inspire aspiring artists and fans who want to learn about my creative journey and how I make music. Limewire has created a platform that makes exciting content like this accessible to all of my fans — even ones who are unfamiliar with Web3.”
