Sueños Music Festival Announced The Official Dates For Its 2024 Showcase

Last year, Sueños Music Festival celebrated its second tun in Chicago. The festival reportedly pulled in over 45,000 attendees and boasted a line-up of some of the biggest names in reggaeton and Latin trap. Myke Towers, El Alfa, J Balvin, Ozuna, and Wisin Y Yandel were among the artists performing in the first iteration of the festival. Wisin Y Yandel returned this year for the festival’s second iteration, along with Feid, Nicky Jam, and Ivy Queen.

The first two Sueños Festivals proved to be a hit, and now, festivalgoers and fans can’t wait to return to Chicago’s Grant Park for the third year.

When is the Sueños Music Festival in 2024?

The Sueños Music Festival will take place over the course of two days — Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 — at Grant Park. At the time of writing, a line-up for the 2024 festival has not yet been announced.

Neither a pre-sale date nor a general on-sale date have been announced, however, fans can sign up here to register for the Sueños Music Festival mailing list. Fans on the mailing list will be granted first access to pre-sale tickets.

According to a preview poster, the 2024 festival will have a line-up of more than 25 Latin and Reggaeton artists, dozens of bars, local Latin food vendors, new experiential activities, and new heights of perreo.

Baja Beach Fest will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Rosarito Beach from this weekend, with the likes of Ozuna, Feid, Wisin Y Yandel as headliners.

The schedule is packed from Friday, August 11, to Sunday, August 13.

DJ Miriam will set the tone on Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. local time. DJ Fredy Fresco (3:10-3:30 p.m.), Dei V (3:45-4:10 p.m.), and five other acts will play into the night before Tainy (10-10:45 p.m.), Nicky Jam (10:45-11:35 p.m.), and Wisin Y Yandel (12:20 a.m. to 1:35 a.m.) bring it into Saturday.

The Saturday (August 12) slate features Becky G (9:20-10:05 p.m.), Feid (10:55-11:55 p.m.), and Ozuna (12:40 a.m. to 1:40 a.m.). Gabito Ballesteros is slated earlier in the day (3:45-4:10 p.m.), but it’s possible he’ll join Becky G because the two released their “La Nena” single alongside a strip club-based video in late June.

The final day will welcome 11 total sets — punctuated by Don Omar (10:55-11:55 p.m.) and Grupo Firme (12:45-1:45 a.m.).

The festival notes that all set times “are subject to change.” The official website teases what else can be enjoyed across the three-day event, including a “Baja Wheel” and “Glam Station,” and provides a map of the expansive festival grounds.

Limewire Relaunches As An NFT Marketplace, With New Tokens From Travis Barker, Brandy, And More

An early aughts favorite has returned: Limewire is back, and this time, you won’t have to worry about potentially crapping out your computer with viruses, as the new iteration of Limewire is a 100-percent legal NFT marketplace.

Austrian brothers Paul and Julian Zehetmayr purchased the rights to Limewire back in March, as they announced their plans to convert the once-notorious peer-to-peer file sharing platform into a marketplace for music non-fungible tokens.

“We see a huge demand in the entertainment space for platforms that recognize and appreciate artists for their talent and put them in the driver’s seat,” said the Zehetmayrs in a statement. “Limewire presents a new commercial opportunity for artists of all sizes and genres to engage with their fans, gain more exposure in a unique way, and retain more of their earnings.”

Reigning in the new era of Limewire are artists across a variety of genres, including Brandy, Nicky Jam, Aitch, Dillon Francis, Soulja Boy, and Travis Barker. Some of the NFT products include new music, behind-the-scenes videos, and exclusive artwork.

“I have always been interested in Web3 and NFTs so I am pretty stoked to release my first NFT collection and to do it on Limewire,” said Barker. “I hope that my NFT collection will inspire aspiring artists and fans who want to learn about my creative journey and how I make music. Limewire has created a platform that makes exciting content like this accessible to all of my fans — even ones who are unfamiliar with Web3.”
