Toosi Explains Himself After Revealing Shaq DMed His Girl

Shaquille O’Neal caused a stir on social media when he flaunted his considerably younger girlfriend. Rapper Toosii harbors some animosity for the NBA star. Recent photos of Shaq and his 21-year-old girlfriend enjoying a ton of fun in Spain may have set Toosii off and reminded him of a run-in with the NBA Hall of Famer. He accused Shaq of making advances against his girlfriend Samaria Davis around eighteen months prior, sending her a direct message asking, “Can I have that baby?” he has now clarified the situation.

Toosii had already uploaded evidence of the interaction, which he obviously thought was inappropriate and disrespectful to him. A few months after Toosii and Samaria’s baby Ezrah was born, in November 2022, the DM was sent. He did not feel Shaq’s response to a photo of the mother and child. Now he is backtracking, saying he misunderstood the DM and took it out of context. He is still confused by the situation, judging from his response.

Toosi Goes Into Detail About Shaq Dming His Girl

Now Toosi says he posted the DM because he thought Shaq was talking about his child. He implied it was Shaq trying to holler at his girl but now says that was never the case. He clarified that he posted it because he thought it was weird that Shahq mentioned his child. Toosi sasy men are going to DM your girl, so he isn’t tripping over Shaq trying to get with her. He then weirdly says he doesn’t want Shaq to get with her because he is a giant man, and his girl is very tiny. He may have got some pushback and tried to save face. His entire clarification is pretty confusing, as he clearly thought Shaq was after his woman.

Shaq’s previous relationships have been on the news this week. His ex-girlfriend, Moneice Slaughter, detailed the big man’s cheating habits, revealing he cheated on her with Rocsi Diaz and Hoopz. His ex-wife Shaunie Henderson revealed in her book that she doesn’t know if she truly loved her ex-husband, who also allegedly cheated on her multiple times. Overall, Shaq is a ladies’ man, and it wouldn’t be surprising if his DM to Toosi’s girl was him breaking the ice.

Pressa And Toosii Flex Their Success On “W Hotel”

Canada and North Carolina talents have just merged to bring a perfect track for those chill late nights. Pressa and Toosii, two rappers who have been in the game for about 13 years in total are meeting for the first time. Their respective abilities have formed a new single called “W Hotel.” For both of these auto-crooners, this is the first single that they have been a part of in 2024.

For Pressa, the Toronto native, this is his first track since November of 2023. Back then, he dropped a solo cut called “Pressalicious,” another chill and dance-ready vibe. This song may make a nice comeback for the summer of 2024 because its release during the winter just did not fit the timeline. On the feature side of things, Toosii is returning after dropping “IDGAF.”

Listen To “W Hotel” By Pressa & Toosii

“W Hotel” is a song about wealth, girls, and street life. Nothing out of the ordinary whatsoever topically, but it gets the job done. The best part about the cut is the beat. However, fans seem to like it. Pressa shared a post from Spotify on his Instagram showing how many streams it racked up since its release just yesterday. At the time of the post, it was already over 63,000 streams. Maybe you will enjoy it more than us. Go give it a try with the link above.

Yeah, I’m at the top of the W, I got some h**s tryna link with the homies

Toosii Has An “IDGAF” Attitude On His New Single

Toosii’s growth as an artist since he came into the industry back in 2018 has been exciting. He is only a 23-year-old which is another component to all of this. He has so much more room to grow, especially with his dabbling in rapping and singing. In 2023, he has been putting in work to solidify these skills.

In early June, Toosii came out with maybe his best full listen to date with NAUJOR. It is named after his government name, Nau’Jour Grainger. It featured one of his biggest and best songs, “Favorite Song.” He is already gearing up for another project soon to come.

Listen To “IDGAF” By Toosii

On Genius, they have JADED being listed as released in November. It still is not here yet, but hopefully, it will come soon. We have a new single from the album, called “IDGAF.” It is an extremely personal and uplifting track about loving yourself, removing toxicity, and also working hard for everything even if it means failing. It features some solid vocal work from Toosii as well, adding to the emotional weight.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single, “IDGAF,” by Toosii? Is this one of the best tracks he has ever released, why or why not? Do you prefer when he sings or raps on a track? Does this song have you excited for his upcoming project, JADED? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Toosii. Quotable Lyrics:

Other than that, a h* can’t get no love from a G
Ain’t it crazy how the moment life feel so amazing
Things can turn around and you left there just feelin’ naked?
Bakin’, abandoned, stranded, all alone
That’s the reason I don’t come out and stay inside my home
I got this thing with myself, you fool me once, shame on you

Drake Responds To “Aubrey Angel” Who Doesn’t Feel His New Music

In a recent interview of The Breakfast Club, they invited a woman calling herself an “Aubrey Angel,” onto the show to discuss Drake. She claims to be a day 1 stan from all the way back when it “wasn’t cool” to like the rapper. In the segment, she explains that since his 2016 album Views, she just hasn’t been able to feel his music as much. While that’s a sentiment expressed by some, her comments were largely met with disagreement. Eventually, the discussion got heated enough that Drake himself weighed in.

“was this interview already on the schedule? Who is this…” Drake commented underneath a post of the clip. Expectedly, fans of the rapper rushed to his defense. They called her out for being just one person with an opinion and pointed out that she didn’t represent all his fans. Rapper and singer Toosii took to the comments to weigh in on Drizzy’s side as well. “People have this thing where they paint this definitive picture in their head that the artist you were 5 years ago that’s who you always are. People change, things change. He can make the same kind of music but how is that going to resonate to your now mid 30 year old body?” he said. Check out the full response and fan reactions below.

Drake Responds To A Former Fan’s Comments

Drake just released his new album For All The Dogs. The project is expected to be absolutely dominant commercially, as most of his projects are. The record itself is a shoe in to top the Billboard 200 and expected to push almost as many units as the rest of the top 10 combined.

Two songs from the album are also competing with each other on the Hot 100. “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole and “IDGAF” with Yeat are both contending for the top spot. After “Shooter” emerged as the early favorite “IDGAF” began to creep up and the songs are now neck and neck. What do you think of Drake and Toosii’s responses to a fan saying she fell off his music after Views? Let us know in the comment section below.

Toosii & 21 Savage Leak Fire Unreleased Collab Snippet

If there’s anyone you can always count on to body a feature, it’s 21 Savage. The Atlanta-based rhymer has worked with artists like Drake, Post Malone, Nas, Travis Scott, J. Cole, and countless others throughout his career. With so many hit songs already released to the public, it’s hard not to wonder what the Saint Laurent Don has sitting in his back pocket. On Friday (May 26), Toosii gave us an idea of what we’ve been missing out on. At the time, he teased an unreleased collaboration between him and the Savage Mode hitmaker.

As HipHopDX reports, the 44-second long snippet is more than enough to pique fans’ interest. “I’m Mr. Get Out on Feet, 21 / He tried to run through the cut — boy, where you goin’?” Savage raps as the clip shared on Toosii’s Instagram Story begins. “Get hawked down the street, 21 / Glock with a switch, hit a n*gga with a left hook, right hook, Muhammad Ali,” the UK-born artist continues, comparing himself to one of the world’s most well-known boxers.

Toosii Teases Heat with 21 Savage on Instagram

His impressive bars only continue with, “On God, if you ain’t signing no major, you better off not even askin’ my fee / Straight up / That shit a couple hundred G’s, 21 / He a pussy cat like Garfield, stick make a n*gga do a cartwheel.” It remains unclear if Toosii plans to share the single officially. Still, it certainly would be a perfect follow-up to his recent collaboration with Future. The pair came together to remix the former’s “Favorite Song,” putting together the “Toxic Version” as only Hendrix can.

Aside from that, the New York native has also given us “Magic Potion” in 2023, following his Boys Don’t Cry project last year. He later expanded that with the Boys Don’t Cry: Men Do edition, featuring five new songs, all of which have only helped to grow the multi-talent’s audience. Would you like to see Toosii and 21 Savage’s unreleased collaboration hit DSPs? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Who Is Toosii? Get To Know The “Naujour” Rapper

With his hit “Favorite Song” being one of the most viral songs on TikTok, more people are finding out about the new R&B hitmaker who is Toosii. A blend of hip-hop, R&B, and trap music that reflects his life experiences and emotions, Toosii is a rapper unafraid to put raw emotion into his songs. His hit single “Love Cycle” has over 50 million streams on Spotify, solidifying his spot as an influential newcomer. Praised for his honest lyrics and catchy hooks, Toosii’s unique sound has garnered the artist critical acclaim. Fans patiently await the rapper’s sophomore album, Naujour, which is scheduled to be released soon. Get to know the SCMG (South Coast Music Group) artist, Toosii.

Background

Toosii is a rapper from Raleigh, North Carolina. Originally born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Toosii relocated to Raleigh when he was a teen. The artist has been making music since that time. It was during these years that Toosii became the most inspired.

“When I moved to North Carolina, I fell in love with music,” said Toosii in an interview with Flaunt. “I really started paying attention to it. Things finally started settling down and I was still going through stuff, so I used music as a way to cope with everything I was going through.”

Toosii first started recording and taking his rap career seriously at the age of 16. During high school, Toosii would use rap to escape issues while playing football. The rapper’s stage name comes from his childhood nickname of “Toota,” which he changed to Toosii after his football teammates said it as a joke.

Toosii’s music is heavily influenced by his upbringing in Raleigh, which is known for its vibrant hip-hop scene. He often raps about his experiences growing up in the city and how it shaped him into the artist he is today. In the beginning, Toosii was influenced by his father and brother, who encouraged him to follow his dreams. Today, Toosii has become one of the most popular rappers from North Carolina. The artist also currently has over a billion combined global streams to his record!

Big Break & SCMG

In 2019, Toosii got his first big break when SCMG discovered him. He would sign with the label, resulting in the release of three successful projects. This includes the mixtapes, Who Dat and Platinum Heart and the album Poetic Pain. Platinum Heart would reach No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album chart upon the album’s initial release. The 17-track album Poetic Pain debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart.

“Honestly, it seemed fast because I’m here now,” said Toosii. “I didn’t notice stuff happening because it’s happening to me. It seems I’ve been living like this my whole life, but I haven‘t. I used to be homeless, sleeping out of a car. Now I got my 5-bedroom house, $140K car, jewelry. It hasn’t registered, it all feels fake.”

Toosii would later sign with Capitol Records shortly after releasing his official video for “Love Cycle,” featuring Summer Walker. The Recording Industry Association of America certified the song as a Gold single. Toosii was also featured in the 2021 XXL Freshman Class alongside Flo Milli, Pooh Shiesty, and 42 Dugg.

Social Media

Being the maker of a viral hit, Toosii’s success is also reflected in his social media. The rapper’s TikTok account has over 52.8 million likes and 3.7 million followers. His Instagram also does numbers, sitting at just over 4 million followers. In 2022, the rapper took a temporary break from social media. He would do so after denouncing fame on his Instagram account.

“F*** this fame s***,” wrote Toosii on his Instagram Story. “Y’all could have it. This s### [is] lame. People love you then they hate you. I should’ve never even started rapping for y’all. I should’ve just kept my music to myself like I did in the beginning to cope with my problems.” Thankfully for fans, the artist would continue his hit-making ways instead of calling it quits.

What’s Next For Toosii?

With the upcoming album, Naujour, scheduled for an early June release, fans are close to hearing the long-awaited album. Being in the works for years, the album was first teased to fans in early 2022. According to the album’s tracklist, it will feature artists such as 21 Savage, Wallo 267, and Future. The album will contain 19 tracks, including the “Favorite Song Toxic Remix” as a bonus track. Fans are looking forward to the mix of hard-hitting bars, soulful melodies, and heartfelt lyrics they’ve come to expect from the rapper-singer. With many successful projects already under his belt, fans can’t help but be excitedly waiting to see what the artist does next.

Toosii And Future Are Delivering The ‘Toxic Version’ Remix Of Their Fans’ ‘Favorite Song’

Toosii’s “Favorite Song” single has already seen the growth of its success, making its way onto the Billboard charts. To celebrate and give back to the fans who boosted it, he has dropped a new “Toxic Version” remix of the song that features Future. (It also follows the first remix he did with Khalid.)

Just as the update describes, Future’s verse finds himself detailing a toxic relationship. While it keeps Toosii’s original intro with Tatiana Manaois, Future tackles the first verse after the chorus.

“These b*tches too smart to compete with you (Smart) / I’ma leave her right now if she mention you,” he notes. See you tired of me constantly hurtin’ you / Feel like true love is the virtue / Can’t deny I bring out the best in you.”

Despite the ups and downs and the chaotic vibes, he still is holding out hope in the name of true love.

Next week, Toosii is set to perform the track solo during the season finale of The Voice on May 23. All remixes of the song, and the original version, will also be included on the rapper’s upcoming album, Naujour.

Check out Toosii’s “Favorite Song (Toxic Version)” feat. Future above.

Naujour is out 6/2 via South Coast Music Group/Capitol Records. Find more information here.
