TiaCorine Taps Latto For “FreakyT” Remix

TiaCorine’s had TikTok on lock with her viral single, “FreakyT” but she’s put new life into the record with the remix. This weekend, the North Carolina rapper debuted the official remix featuring Latto. The ATL native’s latest guest appearance is another exemplary display of her versatility. She slides over the Honorable C.N.O.T.E.’s glossy production effortlessly and compliments TiaCorine’s gritty, Memphis-influenced flow. Even though the South Coast Music Group signee released the single in September 2022, Latto’s addition to the remix signals that TiaCorine will have the summer

With TiaCorine’s original verses intact, Latto sweeps through with another impressive offering. Though far more ‘laxed compared to her usual dominating flow, the Queen Of Da Souf lays it down with extravagant flexes while name-dropping DJ Khaled, Kai Cenat, and her deal with Rihanna’s FentyxSavage. Often times, rappers can hop on a remix, only to outshine the original artists. This time, Latto comes through in a manner that helps TiaCorine flesh out the record into something bigger than it already is.

Latto & TiaCorine Connect

“FreakyT” gained a life of its own on TikTok and Instagram in the months after its release. Though TiaCorine already made a statement since the release of 2020’s 34Corine, her latest project, I Can’t Wait turned her into one artist that everyone needs to keep an eye out for this year. Across the project, he showcased that she can morph her voice from infectious pop-driven melodies to grimey triplet flows that she puts on display on “FreakyT.” Ultimately, she’s the one to watch this year.

The release of “FreakyT (Remix)” arrived on the same day that Latto unveiled her new single, “Put It On Da Floor.” Though the record received widespread approval on the internet, it also resulted in an impending beef with Coi Leray. Latto harmlessly name-dropped the “Blick Blick” rapper on the second verse but was met with immediate pushback after comparing Coi to the size of her blunt. Ultimately, Latto put the rumors to rest during her Coachella set on Sunday.

Quotable Lyrics
Diamonds twitchin’ like they Kai, hold my wrist up, make ’em freeze
Ruby cut, a million dollar chain, Savage Fenty when I’m havin’ sex
When we fuck, he sound like DJ Khaled, tellin’ me this pussy is the best
Tellin’ me it’s super tight and wet, I don’t take the dick without the neck

Megan Thee Stallion’s Twerk Trap Has Her Cheeks Clapping To Beyoncé In A Sexy Sparkling Dress

Megan Thee Stallion teased us earlier this weekend with some bedroom thirst traps that saw her welcoming fans to her “hottie club.” While many are still recovering from those spicy snaps, the Houston native is keeping her foot on our necks with more salacious content, this one falling under the twerk trap category. On Monday (April 17), she hopped on TikTok to tease some of her body’s best assets in a sexy sparkling dress, which was just sheer enough to show the outline of her bodacious behind as she shook it along to Beyoncé’s “CUFF IT (WETTER REMIX).”

In the caption, all the 28-year-old included was a honey emoji, seemingly referring to her sticky sweet moves. Aside from flattering her bottom half, Thee Stallion’s outfit of the night also showed off plenty of underboob, as well as her toned midsection, which she’s been frequently flaunting since making a comeback to the spotlight last month. She continues to wear her hair in a larger-than-life afro, though instead of the shiny black curls she initially showed us, she’s since switched things up in favour of a lighter brown look, which is equally flattering on the versatile fashionista.

Megan Thee Stallion Makes Her Booty Bounce

While her TikTok post is already blowing up, Megan also shared the clip on Instagram, where the comment section has been flooding with thirsty responses. “I mean, look at the material✨,” BET’s official account wrote. “Megan please,” someone else pleaded. “My man is somewhere on this internet.” Another user chimed in with, “Make that thing clap ma’am 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥,” as they obviously lusted over the “WAP” hitmaker and her famous knees.

When she’s not making us drool with her sultry social media antics, the multi-talent has been busy making plenty of public appearances, as well as preparing for her upcoming concerts. She gave her first performance of the year at the end of March and has since been announced as a headliner at various upcoming festivals with the likes of Mariah Carey and Lauryn Hill. After an undeniably bumpy 2022, it looks like Megan Thee Stallion is ready to come out on top in 2023. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture news.

Montana Lawmakers Vote To Ban TikTok From The State

Lawmakers in Montana have voted to ban the use of TikTok in the state. The legislation will now make its way to the desk of Gov. Greg Gianforte. The bill would prevent app stores from offering downloads for the platform. It would also make Montana the first U.S. state to ban the app.

“The governor will carefully consider any bill the legislature sends to his desk,” said Brooke Stroyke, a spokesperson for Gianforte. In the past, the Governor has banned TikTok from state government devices.

The bill will face serious legal opposition should it pass. Brooke Oberwetter, a spokesperson for TikTok, responded in a statement labeling the act “government overreach.” “The bill’s champions have admitted that they have no feasible plan for operationalizing this attempt to censor American voices and that the bill’s constitutionality will be decided by the courts,” they said. “We will continue to fight for TikTok users and creators in Montana whose livelihoods and First Amendment rights are threatened by this egregious government overreach.”

In recent years, U.S. politicians have expressed concerns that the Chinese government could potentially gain access to TikTok user data. They could use this for intelligence or propaganda campaigns. As of now, there is no evidence that the Chinese government has gained access to this information. However, FBI Director Christopher Wray has argued to Congress that “we’re not sure that we would see many of the outward signs of it happening if it was happening.”

NetChoice, a technology industry group, has argued that banning TikTok could set a dangerous precedent. “This move from the Montana legislature sets a dangerous precedent that the government can try to ban any business it doesn’t like without clear evidence of wrongdoing,” said Carl Szabo, NetChoice’s vice president and general counsel. “The US Constitution clearly forbids lawmakers from passing laws to criminalize a specific individual or business. Gov. Greg Gianforte should veto this clearly unconstitutional law.”

Wiz Khalifa Shows Off Painted Toenails After Being Roasted

Wiz Khalifa has been clowned on a lot lately for his feet. Back in mid-March, the rapper posted a series of pictures on his Twitter. The photos depicted Wiz in his home studio getting a massage, smoking, and generally looking relaxed. Little did he know that he was about to start a social media firestorm over his feet. The comments on the tweet ranged from hilarity to disgust. Wiz wasn’t really bothered by the response, though. In fact, the rapper responded with a poem about the situation.

In a video posted to his social media, Wiz said, “I wrote a little poem, it’s called, ‘Stop Making Jokes About My Feet.’” The rapper then went on to recite an entire poem about the hate he experienced for his feet. “Stop making jokes about my feet, because that shit ain’t funny. Y’all keep making jokes about my feet, but bitch I got money,” he recited. “You ain’t gonna say it to my face, but you’ll talk about me when I’m gone. Your toes probably look like that, too, but you got nail polish on.” If nothing else, Wiz proved once again that he’s got bars.

Wiz Is Taking Every Chance To Troll

Ever the joker, Wiz has continued to troll his haters. Today, he posted a video on TikTok showing off his newly-painted toenails. The short clip simply features Wiz taking a video of himself in his underwear, taking great care to focus on his baby blue toenails. He didn’t recite a poem this time. Instead, he let the video speak for itself. The rapper definitely has a sense of humor.

Comments on the video seemed good-natured, with most either admiring the paint job or the fact that he was in his underwear. “I didn’t even notice the toes on the first watch,” said one very thirsty user. “No more ppl talking ish about his feet. He got himself a pedi. #wiz for the win,” said another. Looks like Wiz has won this round. However, it’s probably only a matter of time before the trolls find something new to comment on. What do you think of Wiz’s new TikTok? Let us know in the comments.

Lil Baby Casually Strolls Through Target

You never know when you might run into your favorite celebrity at a supermarket or department store. Moreover, fans just ran into Lil Baby and Rylo Rodriguez stopping by Target, seemingly for some snacks with their crew. In the short clip that surfaced on social media, you can see some encouraged fans circling around the Atlanta MC and his entourage, while they seem to be mostly leaving him alone. Furthermore, celebrities- rappers especially- might find themselves in a position where they’re surrounded by a mob and can’t even move two feet without someone in their face.

Still, the 28-year-old is very appreciative of his fanbase, and wanted to give them something back this summer. In an exciting development, Lil Baby recently announced a summer tour with the aforementioned Rylo, GloRilla, The Kid LAROI, Gloss Up, and Hunxho. The “It’s Only Us” trek will last from late June to mid-late September, and will hit cities all across the United States. Given Baby’s elevated profile and star power, it wouldn’t be surprising to see additional dates come through. Regardless, tickets went live on Thursday (April 13), so snag yours quick if you want to hear “Freestyle” live- because you need to.

Lil Baby & Rylo Rodriguez Stroll Through Target

Other than that, there are plenty of other reasons to be excited for the 4PF leader’s next move that go beyond his regular career movement. For example, rumors recently surfaced of a collaborative album dropping soon between Lil Baby and none other than Drake. Said speculation came mostly from Black Coffee, a producer who worked on Drizzy’s Honestly, Nevermind who said that the duo is working together on a full-length project. That’s very promising news for fans of “Wants and Needs” and other of their collabs, which usually seem to bring out the best in each other.

Meanwhile, Lil Baby continues to reap the benefits of his successful career up to this point. Recently, the RIAA officially gifted him a platinum plaque for his 2022 album It’s Only Me, signifying the project selling over 1 million album equivalent units. While many point to an inconsistent track record, all of Baby’s career moves point to a continued spot among the upper echelon on contemporary hip-hop. For that and many more reasons, let a man shop in peace when you spot him at a Target. Also, for the latest updates and news on Lil Baby, log back into HNHH.

TikTok Serving as a Launchpad for Regional Mexican Artists to the Billboard Charts

With Raggaeton remaining a dominant force on TikTok, Karol G, and Shakira’s “TQG” found a way to break through and become the top trending Latin song on the platform last week. Traditional and regional Latin genres that don’t get as much radio airplay have seen improved commercial success because of TikTok.

Regional Mexican music, a catch-all word that incorporates genres like norteo, corridos, and banda, is leading the charge. This genre went from being absent to a mainstay on the Billboard charts, in part due to the success of regional songs on TikTok. Both “Soy Él Unico” by Yahritza y Su Esencia and “Botella Tras Botella,” which first gained popularity as an original sound on TikTok, debuted at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021. “Botella Tras Botella” (344k video productions) by Christian Nodal & Gera.MX was the first regional Mexican hit to chart on the Hot 100.

Mexican regional music is having a big year on TikTok, and Peso Pluma, a 23-year-old singer, is leading the push. Peso Pluma, who has over 1.6 million TikTok followers, is behind some of the year’s biggest hits, such as the Natanael Cano collaboration “PRC” (261k video creations), which gained popularity thanks to a dance that utilizes the song’s distinctive trumpet hook, and the Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma joint effort “Ella Baila Sola,” which generated over 470k video creations.

Peso is currently in the spotlight thanks to his collaboration with Yng Lvcas, “La Bebe,” which generated over 40k creations and peaked as #2 on TikTok’s list of the week’s most popular songs. Peso Pluma has five singles that have reached the Billboard Hot 100 as a result of TikTok, including “PRC” (#64), “La Bebe” (#26), and “Ella Baila Sola,” which recently reached the highest-charting position for a regional Mexican song in chart history at #17.
