Fans Get Into Tense Argument Over Ciara Reportedly Clearing A Sample For Megan Thee Stallion And Not Stunna Girl

At the top of 2024, rapper Stunna Girl put out a song with YG called “Stand Up.” The track sampled R&B stalwart Ciara’s iconic hit “Goodies.” However, it didn’t take long for the singer’s team to take action. She was asked to remove the track from YouTube due to copyright infringement. The single does remain on her DSP accounts, but it’s safe to say that Stunna Girl was incredibly frustrated over the whole debacle. “I literally hate when producers use samples. These artists be actin’ like they made the beat it’s so many people that used that beat but @ciara team writing me saying she personally contacted them about me.”

Fans clapped back at her for putting CiCi and her team on blast saying that she doesn’t know the correct protocol for clearing things. After that spat in January, things have remained dormant, at least until this past weekend. Megan Thee Stallion used the exact Ciara sample on the MEGAN: ACT II cut with Flo Milli “Roc Steady.” However, there are reports out there that she cleared “Goodies” for the Houston act and not Stunna Girl.

Others feel that it had to do with who was going to bring in the most revenue for CiCi. Given that Megan is globally more popular than Stunna Girl, they feel it was a no-brainer. Moreover, she recently went live on Instagram to enjoy some music and dance for her fans, throwing some more shade towards her husband in the process. For those unaware, the rapper revealed that she left him after he ran away during her shooting incident, and even admitted to cheating on him two years prior. Overall, it seems like a very messy situation that they might not be able to reconcile. But at least she continues to recover from her harrowing experience with a lot of support.

Apparently, Stunna Girl has some serious dirt on the singer and multimedia mogul in regard to Wendy’s troubling battle with addiction. Via her Instagram Story, she writes, “Instead of constantly being worried about me, Ray J needs to focus on what he did to Wendy Williams. She ain’t been the same since u took her on that drug binge gang”. This is quite the accusation, especially with no other evidence to support her statement.

Throughout the years, Ray J and Wendy have sustained a friendship for quite some time. There was a short period in which internet sleuths had a strong belief there was something more there. However, the two TV stars have remained platonic. With that in mind, Stunna Girl’s allegations are a little head-scratching.

YG’s NSFW ‘Shake’ Video With Kaliii And Stunna Girl Is A Beach-Bound Booty Buffet

YG knows how to play the hits. With his new project Just Re’d Up 3 on the way, the Compton rapper has been getting back to basics with singles custom-made to turn up the function. First, there was “Knocka,” which hearkened back to the party-ready anthems of his debut album, My Krazy Life. Then, there was “Weird,” which some fans interpreted as a Drake diss (it wasn’t). Today, YG delivers the third single, “Shake,” which features Kaliii and Stunna Girl, along with a beach-bound, borderline-NSFW music video.

The song and its video both feel like callbacks to YG’s 2017 single “Pop It, Shake It” (the original version) from the uptempo beat and instructive chorus to the raunchy, booty-filled visuals — which, to be fair, are significantly tamer than the older video’s. Still, try not to watch “Shake” at your desk if you work in an office, or face some potentially awkward conversations. Also, sorry, but Kaliii and Stunna Girl don’t actually appear in the video, although based on some of their own output, they would fit right in. They also spit some very aggressive, but technically impressive verses.

Yesterday, Stunna Girl took to Twitter to express her thoughts on people stealing her catchphrases. “I got btchs stealing “Haaaan” like btchs took City Girls “Periodt” & ran witted,” her tweet read. While her intentions seem pretty clear up front, plenty of fans interpreted the tweet as her taking shots at Yung Miami. That was because Miami had just recently shared a selfie using her “haaan” catchphrase as a caption.

Thankfully, the beef didn’t last long as the pair took to Instagram comments about the post to clear things up. “I was SUPPORTING the song lol I pray it’s not that deep!” Miami said in a comment. It clearly caught Stunna’s attention as the also took the chance to clarify. “I ain’t even seen yo picture I literally just gave y’all props about how they stole “Periodt” like they did my sh*t I wasn’t talmbout you boo,” she responded.
