Normani & Gunna Cannot Resist Each Other On Sensual Lead Single “1:59”

Normani fans have been starved, dehydrated, and all the above waiting for her debut solo album. It has been teased and in the works for years at this point, but not much was known about it. That was up until February when the former Fifth Harmony vocalist revealed the project’s artwork and title. She also began teasing music from it just weeks ago, but the reception was not great. But Normani still has people ready for what she can do on her own with its lead single “1:59” featuring Gunna.

Her supporters might also be thrilled to know that Genius has Dopamine listed for a June 14 release date. That appears to be the confirmed date as well, as Normani has “DOPAMINE THE ALBUM JUNE 14” in her Instagram bio. “1:59” sees the Georgia natives serenade each other, with Gunna even taking on an auto tuned singing and rapping flow. It does not sound too off-putting for those who had doubts about how he would fit on a slow-mo R&B cut.

Normani and Gunna are so infatuated with one another, that even when they are not together, they are always wanting to reunite for an intimate time. Instrumentally, it is nothing that is reinventing the wheel, with its guitar loops and minimal production overall. But it does sound pleasing to the ears vocally and beat wise. Be sure to check out the lead single for Dopamine above.

Southside Teases Forthcoming LP With “President” Featuring Destroy Lonely & Ken Carson

Metro Boomin may be viewed as the current king of trap rap, but Southside is step for step with him. The longtime hitmaker from Atlanta, Georgia is always working with the best of the best. It is for good reason too, because he has great synergy with so many legends in Southern hip-hop. Pretty soon, Southside will be dropping his first album in four years and to hype it up, he has a new single out called “President.”

This time around, the “Hold That Heat” creator is teaming up with ragers Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson. Both have been establishing themselves as the future faces of the subgenre over the last couple of years and now they are working with one of the most established stars. “President,” according to a recent press release, looks to be the third single for his unnamed sixth LP. The first of them was 2022’s “Hold That Heat,” which featured Travis Scott and Future.

Then, in late 2023, Southside and Lil Yachty dropped “Gimme Da Lite.” On “President,” the veteran incorporates some stunning synths, horn sections, and rumbling bass. It feels epic, but Lonely and Carson mumble their way through the track, dragging down the hype factor. But, its still a solid track all around and it will be one of the more popular tracks from the record.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “President” by Southside, Destroy Lonely, and Ken Carson? Is this one of his better beats as of late, why or why not? YG Drops A Speaker “KNOCKA” With New Single

YG was one of the hottest names out of California when he came up in the early 2010s. He was celebrated — deservedly so — for projects like My Krazy Life and Still Brazy. Each provided tons of bangers and some terrific G-funk nods. However, his last few records such as STAY DANGEROUS, I GOT ISSUES, and etc. have not been nearly talked about as much. But YG is proving that he still has plenty left in the tank with “KNOCKA.”

This is his first solo release since 2022’s “Miss My Dawgs” with Lil Wayne. Over the last year or so, his singles have been collaborations with Tyga mainly. Tracks like “Brand New,” “PLATINUM,” and “PARTy T1M3” were all for their 2023 team effort Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist. But “KNOCKA,” according to Genius, is looking to be a promotional teaser for Just Re’d Up 3.

They believe it will arrive sometime in July of this year and it would be following up the second entry in the series which dropped back in 2013. On “KNOCKA,” YG is rapping with a lot of energy like always, but his flow may be the most impressive part. Every bar ends with some form of an “uh” sound, tying into the phonetic spelling of “KNOCKA.” The beat is also pretty addictive with a killer sample loop. Be sure to support YG with the link above.

Killer Mike & Blxst Recruit Offset For Extended Version Of “MICHAEL” Cut “EXIT 9”

Killer Mike really put on for the city of Atlanta and the rap genre at the 2024 GRAMMYs. Somewhat controversially, his sophomore solo LP MICHAEL took home three categories at the iconic award show earlier this year. It won over massive mainstream records UTOPIA, HEROES & VILLAINS, Her Loss, and King’s Disease III. One of the consistent arguments against him winning came from fans who are not hip to the rap legend saying things like, “Who is Killer Mike?” But he definitely deserved all the success and now, Killer Mike is taking another victory lap by adding Offset to “EXIT 9.”

Track 10 on the original version of the album, “EXIT 9” only featured California singer Blxst. Additionally, the song was just over two minutes and 40 seconds. But with Offset entering the mix, the record now clocks in at 3:30. As most know, adding another artist to an already great track can achieve mixed results.

But to the former Migos member’s credit, he seamlessly slides into what Mike and Blxst were doing on the reflective song about making it from the bottom. Offset rocks a monotone and lowkey flow as he talks about Takeoff, his late grandmother, and working hard for his respect in the game. All in all, this one of the stronger bonus cuts from MICHAEL. Be sure to check out the new version of “EXIT 9” with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “EXIT 9” by Killer Mike, Offset, and Blxst? Which version of this track do you prefer more now and why? Is this the best song from MICHAEL, why or why not? Is this one of Offset’s stronger performances of 2024? Future Disses Drake (Again) On Nardo Wick Single “Back To Back”

Future wasn’t going to stay silent forever. Future and Metro Boomin were the ones who turned the rest of the hip-hop industry against Drake by releasing the pointedly titled albums WE DON’T LIKE YOU and WE STILL DON’T LIKE YOU. They clearly have a problem with the 6 God, and they teamed up with every rap star who feels the same way to bomb on him. Future has been suspiciously quiet since the collab albums dropped, however, leading many to ask whether he was still in the battle. Fans got their answer on April 25.

Future linked up with Nardo Wick for the new single “Back to Back,” and you can guess where this is all going based on the title. The song isn’t as pointed as Drake’s 2015 diss, especially considering Wick’s general first verse. It’s only when Future hops on for a second verse that the purpose of “Back to Back” becomes clear. Pluto raps about “sliming out” an unnamed op and smashing a woman as soon as he met her. One of Drake’s recent hits was “Slime You Out” with SZA, and the feud between him and Future is rumored to be over a woman.

Future References Multiple Drake Song Titles

Future then uses the words “diss” and “back to back” in the same line. “Ain’t gon’ be no n**ga who dissin’ you, I’m spinnin’ back to back,” he spits. “Any n**ga save on the issue, I’m goin’ rat-a-tat (Brrt).” Future knows all eyes are on him in 2024, so there’s little to no chances these bars are coincidental. He wraps up the verse by threatening violence against his target. “Fifty bullets sittin’ in the clip, it got a n**ga arrogant. Murderers on murderers do murders, my natural habitat.”

Drake has been focused on battling Kendrick Lamar and generally ignoring others. It’ll be interesting to see if he takes time out to respond to Pluto’s latest subs.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Back to Back,” by Nardo Wick and Future? Do you think Future is really taking shots at Drake? Are his bars hard-hitting? Do you think Drizzy will respond? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news on Nardo Wick and Future. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.

I pour up, I don’t measure, I smash soon I met her (Oh)
I leveled up, my bread up, I’m fed up, it’s pressure
It’s gang-gang, you can’t hang, we slimin’ out whoever
I keep it on, get stepped on, in Maison Margiela

JT Drops Hard-Hitting Single “Okay” Amidst City Girls Feud

JT and Yung Miami are not in the best place at the moment. The two emcee rose to fame as the duo City Girls, but true to form in 2024, they have engaged in a public feud. The whole thing started when Miami called out JT for “sneak dissing” her on X (formerly Twitter). The latter denied these claims, and told her partner in rhyme that she was “playing dumb.” Things appeared to have cooled down in the three weeks since the social media explosion, but City Girls does not look as though it continue for much longer. This makes it the perfect time for JT to drop the solo single “Okay.”

The Florida rapper teased a snippet of “Okay” on April 16, along with a pre-order link. The single sees JT engage in her usual boastful style, which sounds amazing over the horn-heavy beat. The bouncy drums are a throwback to the sound Waka Flocka Flame and Lex Luger established in the late 2000s, but with a slicker, modern spin. JT’s bars are standard for anyone who’s spent time listening to a City Girls tape, but the appeal of both her and Yung Miami has always been the swagger over the wordplay. “I’m pretty than a motherf**ker, h*es be lookin’ okay,” she raps. “She think that she f**king with me, is this b*tch okay. He said he ain’t f**kin’ ’round, I look at him like, okay.” It’s a memorable chorus.

JT Proves That She Can Kill A Track Solo

“Okay” is the latest track to be released from JT’s rumored debut album. There isn’t a proper name or release date, but the rapper has been teasing multiple leaks. “Okay” is the third single for the album after “Sideways” and “No Bars,” both of which dropped in 2023. JT gushed about being able to make the music she wants in an IG post hyping up “No Bars,” and it’s safe to assume the excitement extends to “Okay” as well. “No more hiding my love for music, I love music,” she wrote. “I love my voice! I love poppin’ my sh*t.”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Okay,” by JT? Does the song make you more excited for JT’s solo album? Does it live up to the rapper’s work with City Girls? Do you think JT and Yung Miami are going to continue as a duo? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Ice Spice Steals The Show On Cash Cobain’s “Fisherrr (Remix)”

Cash Cobain is on the come up. The rapper had a production credit on Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss (2022) and his new collab with Bay Swag, “Fisherrr,” has been getting lots of playlist spins on streaming. It’s a catchy track, driven by Cobain’s start/stop flow and the jittery drum pattern. The lack of a verse on the back end made it a prime candidate for a remix, though, and Cobain took notes. “Fisherrr (Remix)” enlists one of the hottest rappers on the planet, Ice Spice, and the result is a track that outdoes the original.

Cobain and Bay Swag maintain the hypnotic qualities of “Fisherrr,” but Ice Spice kicks things up a notch with her singular flow. She comes in towards the end of the remix, where the OG version lost steam, and spits bars about what else: being the baddest in the game. People don’t listen to Spice for the intricate wordplay, it’s all about the delivery and the quotables. The “Munch” hitmaker even throws it back to her breakout single. “I brought a baddie too,” she raps. “She a wetty, ooh, givin’ Betty Boop. I ain’t callin’ you “my boo,” n**ga, what you thought? I was feelin’ you?”.

Ice Spice Allegedly Disses Latto On The Remix

“Fisherrr (Remix)” actually leaked a week prior to its official release. DJ Akademiks was sent the track on April 18 and previewed it during one of his live streams. Some fans think Ice Spice’s verse is taking aim at Latto, but there’s nothing that explicitly links the two artists. “Make ’em b*tches wanna hate, she see me and she get uncomfortable” are the “diss” bars in question. In the super combative diss environment of 2024, however, they aren’t enough to start a legitimate feud. They could just as easily be general brag raps.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Fisherrr (Remix),” by Cash Cobain, Bay Swag and Ice Spice? Do you prefer it to the original? Does Ice Spice keep her hot streak going? Do you think she was taking shots at Latto on her verse? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news on Cobain and Ice Spice. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.

Quotable Lyrics:

So what you ’bout to do? Top on batty and then jatty move
And my a*s fat ’cause I eat my oats and my vegetables
And my p*ssy fat, and it’s creamy, ooh, just like Danimals
I’m a baddie, so I know them other b*tches ain’t impressin’ you

Chance The Rapper Begins His Comeback With “Buried Alive”

Chance The Rapper is an artist who has been through quite a bit over the last five years. Overall, when he dropped The Big Day back in 2019, there was this sense that he was on the verge of superstardom. That he was entering the Big Three alongside Kendrick Lamar and Drake. However, that did not happen for him. Instead, the album was absolutely panned by critics, with many calling it the worst album of that year. It was a disappointing time for Chance, and since then, his star has mostly faded from the limelight.

His first track was “Overwhelming,” a viral hit that was characterized by some fidget spinners and incredible production. Subsequently, the Working On Dying collective blew up and have since done production for numerous artists. Furthermore, they have a breakout star in BNYX who is now signed to Yeat’s label.
