[WATCH] Kodak Black Swallows Pills On Camera Despite Sobriety Claims

Kodak Black's "Super Gremlin" Tops RapCaviar's Most Streamed Song List for First Half of 2022

Kodak Black recently shared a disturbing video of him swallowing pills on camera, even though he recently made a public pledge to kick his addiction.

Black took to IG Live over the weekend and spoke about being healthy before holding up two pills to the camera.

The troubled rapper looked as if he swallowed the pills, then declared he was “finna glitch right quick.”

Black spoke about getting sober earlier this year after being arrested several times related to his drug use and unacceptable behavior.

“I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of Percs,” he said back in April. “Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life. I don’t know where this came from, what the fuck going on.”

He continued, “Before I just went to jail, bro, I was taking at least 100 Percs. My average was 40 Percocets [per day]. I’m telling y’all this man. [It got] to the point where I look at this shit and be like, ‘What the fuck was wrong with me, bruh?’”

Kodak Black Appears To Swallow Pills While On His Path To Sobriety: Watch

Kodak Black’s personal life, sadly, is one of inconsistency. It seems like when he’s about to turn over a new leaf, he reverts back to his head-scratching habits. To clarify, though, we are certainly not saying that overcoming steady issues are easy. It’s why seeing Kodak Black seemingly take pills once again is truly a sad sight to witness. According to HipHopDX, the Pompano Beach, Florida rapper did so via Instagram Live. Watching the clip, it seems to be the same one where he was offering cheaper features and a discounted birthday party performance. The supposed pill popping appears to take happen before the price negotiations were the topic of discussion. Kodak does note that he’s been feeling much better since embarking on his sobriety excursion.

However, it seems something overcame him mentally for him to go through with this decision. After the reshared clip blurs out the pills in his hand, as well as his face, Black says that he’s “finna glitch real quick”. Hopefully, this means that it’s a one-and-done scenario. But one slip-up could cause him to spiral. As we said, this is disheartening to see, especially with so many fans highlighting the fact that Kodak looks better physically since he’s gone clean.

Additionally, just a few months ago, the hitmaker himself revealed how he’s been benefitting mentally. “Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life, bro. I don’t know where this came from, what the f*** going on. I ain’t even going to say I’m anti-Perc. Like, I never took a Perc since I been home. But bro, my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself. Man, I’m telling y’all, bro”.

Kodak Black Opens Up About His Sobriety Journey

“Love that for him,” one Instagram user says. “A win is a win,” someone else writes. Others are commending him for being so transparent with his supporters about the pitfalls of addiction and trying to encourage others not to go down the same road he did. Kodak Black’s latest remarks on sobriety arrive only days after he revealed that he regrets some of his most popular lyrics about drug use during a show in LA.

The lyrics in question are from his 2022 track “Super Gremlin,” in which he raps about taking fake Percs. The performer explained that he didn’t want listeners to hear the line and get the wrong idea. What do you think of Kodak Black revealing that he’s mostly sober these days? Eminem Celebrates 16 Years Of Sobriety

Eminem celebrated 16 years of sobriety in a post on Instagram, on Saturday, by sharing a coin marking the number of years it’s been. While he didn’t provide any context in the caption, the coin has the number 16 on it. The legendary rapper famously suffered an overdose in 2007 that nearly cost him his life. He’s been sober since.

Paul Rosenberg, John Mayer, and many more voices congratulated him on his sobriety journey in the comments section. One fan wrote: “Well done and thanks for sharing the journey with us.” Another added: “Congratulations and thanks for sharing, especially to the ones who are trying to get through Day 1.”

Eminem Speaks At Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony

Eminem previously reflected on his sobriety journey during a candid op-ed for XXL back in 2022. “Drugs became a part of the way I was living my life once I got signed,” he wrote at the time. “When I first came out to L.A., me and some guys I was hanging out with used to go to Tijuana and we would buy drugs. Vicodin and that kinda sh*t. I don’t know how many times we did it, but it was so easy to go back and forth to do it. The last time we went, we’re second in line and this dude in front of us starts arguing with the guy in Customs, and they f*ckin’ throw him down on the ground and start pulling pills out his pockets and sh*t. We were scared shitless, but we got through.” He explained that, had he been arrested, he “would’ve been done right then.”

Matthew Perry Was Sober Ahead Of His Death, Late Actor’s Friend Claims

Matthew Perry, American-Canadian actor celebrated for his work on Friends, passed away unexpectedly at his LA home last week. He was found unresponsive in his hot tub at the age of 54 after an apparent drowning. The beloved actor’s untimely death sparked quite a bit of speculation, with rumors floating around that he could have been under the influence ahead of the incident. He’d been open about struggling with substance abuse in the past, later detailing his journey to recovery in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

Now, a friend of Perry’s who had seen him just one day before his passing has spoken out in his defense, shutting down rumors that he had relapsed. “I mean, I can’t know what exactly he was thinking or feeling. I can only share my experience. And, of course, he was his own person that maybe he had said, done or thought of things the day that he passed that I might never come to know,” she explained. “I am now recalling all of the details about it just because the situation has been so tragic. And I’ve been kind of thinking like, ‘OK, was there anything that I, I guess, should have noticed or was there anything that stuck out to me?’ And honestly, no, there wasn’t,” she described. “He was so normal. He ordered a cheeseburger and had a Diet Coke and really just a normal day like any other day.”

In a subsequent Instagram post, Crosby revealed that she didn’t want to speak out initially, but chose to once it came out that they had grabbed lunch together right before the incident. “Know that man was on a comeback and truly deserved more time on this earth,” she added. “Our entertainment industry has truly lost a legend. RIP.” What do you think of Matthew Perry’s friend coming to his defense amid rumors that he relapsed ahead of his death? Lil Yachty & Lucki Discuss Sobriety And Their Substance Abuse Struggles On “A Safe Place”

Attempting sobriety is hard enough as is, but for those who work or play in environments where substances are readily available, abstaining can feel anything but easy. Time and time again we’ve seen recording artists and entertainers fall victim to the demons of substance abuse, but thankfully, a growing number are choosing to distance themselves from alcohol and drugs. On the latest episode of A Safe Place, hosts Lil Yachty and Mitch discussed this with their guest, Lucki, who confirmed that he’s been clean from some drugs for several months now, though there are still others he’s hoping to conquer.

“I thought I’d never stop popping pills, but I stopped popping pills,” the 27-year-old reflected during their interview. “But lean, though? Pills don’t taste good, lean taste good,” Lucki added, earning a laugh from his friends. “You know I’m 10 months clean?” Yachty asked, surprising some viewers who were under the impression he’s always been sober. “That’s what I’m saying!” the Chicago native congratulated him before confirming he hasn’t popped any pills in eight months.

Joseline Hernandez Speaks Out About Her Sobriety

Joseline Hernandez’s career has had its various ups and downs. People who follow her career know that the TV star and rapper can be in the public eye for all the wrong reasons. Whether that be getting involved in different beef with other celebrities, being tied up in legal issues, or her controversial statements and opinions, Hernandez’s choices are always going to get people talking. However, this time things are looking up for the multi-talent. A few months ago, The Shade Room got footage of her stating she was clean.

The TV personality was performing for the first time without using any sort of drugs. In the video, she breaks down in tears, and says, “The reason why I’m so emotional [is because] this is my first time that I’ve ever performed without any cocaine, without any pills.” She goes on further, “This is the first time, in my 12 years of performing, that I’ve [been] sober. I don’t know if I was always so scared to do without it because it was like my shield, but it’s like, I feel so much better without it.”

One writes, “The Powderican Princess will strike again soon…” Another says, “My girl go sober for a week and be like IM CLEAN ! I be the same way with the liquor tho Lmfao.” In addition, some were saying Hernandez was pregnant, but she proves those claims to be false showing off her stomach in the clip.

Danny Brown Reveals His New Outlook On Death Amid Sobriety

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Danny Brown opened up about his sobriety journey. The performer went to rehab earlier this year, and has since developed a new outlook on both life and death. Brown says that he used to be afraid of dying, but no longer fears it. He described coming to peace with the idea of dying now that he’s sober, claiming that the inevitable will happen at the right time.

They gotta go and work a real regular 9-to-5 job, like, you know, I have one of the best jobs in the f**king world, man. And so, I was taking a lot of s**t for granted, man. So I will say, man, like, I’m back. Your boy is back.”
