Did Kid Cudi Just Shade Childish Gambino?

Kid Cudi is someone who is a pioneer in the hip-hop world. Overall, he is one of the most influential artists of this generation. When you look at artists like Travis Scott, you have to give credit to Cudi. From his autotuned crooned vocal stylings to his rager aesthetic, the man helped usher in a whole wave of artists. However, there have been times when Cudi has not gotten the credit he deserves. This has subsequently led to some frustration, and understandably so. Whether or not its productive, is another story completely.

That said, there have been times when Cudi has said something that could be misconstrued amongst the fans. He has made it seem like he has beef with certain artists. Even if that might not be true, it has led to some exchanges on social media. One would just have to look at the Lupe Fiasco situation to understand exactly what we mean. Well, now, it seems as though Kid Cudi might have an issue with Childish Gambino. In the tweet below, a fan suggested that Cudi should work with Gambino, however, Cudi said “im cool.”

While this isn’t exactly an active diss, one could try to read between the lines here. Furthermore, the flippantness with which he said “im cool” shows that he truly isn’t interested in such a collab. In the replies to this tweet, fans were questioning whether or not a feud existed between the two. Of course, there were those who were hoping that this is not really the case. Either way, Cudi didn’t do a good job of making it seem like there is no issue here. Hopefully, a clarification is given to fans at some point.

Moreover, folks spotted a recent tweet that he liked on the social media platform that suggests he thinks there’s a division between the quality of their parenting skills. “Men care about the upbringing of children more than women do,” the message read, and some fans weren’t happy at all about this. Not only is it a debatable statement, but fans think the rapper should be doing a more overt job of supporting the singer and actress on social media.

Furthermore, this is probably going to cause a lot of debate among fans on whether this even means what they think it means. After all, DDG’s entitled to like whatever he wants to like on Twitter, and he could see it as something that doesn’t relate to Halle Bailey specifically. Still, we can’t deny that it’s not the best look, even if it’s the result of overt digging for juicy and scandalous developments. “I’m a dad. I’m a dad, y’all,” DDG said in a YouTube video about his new bundle of joy with Halle Bailey. “I have a son, I have a baby boy. He’s a newborn. He was actually born last year, [but] we were just waiting on the right time to basically break the news or whatever. Latto Seemingly Shades Ice Spice While Teasing New Song “Sunday Service”

Earlier this week, Latto took to social media to announce that her new single “Sunday Service” drops this Friday. She shared the news alongside the track’s cover art, which sees Latto posing in a simple white tank top with a black rectangular bar covering her eyes. Behind her is a black and white wall full of other femcees with their eyes similarly censored. The artists include Coi Leray, GloRilla, Nicki Minaj, and more. Of course, the artist that managed to get the most attention for being featured on the cover is Ice Spice.

The announcement and cover art reveal followed Ice Spice dissing Latto during an AMA with fans last week. She reacted to her music video for “Pretty Girl” playing in the background of Latto’s latest snippet, encouraging her to diss her outright instead of throwing subtle shade. “Why am I in the back of your weak a** snippet?” she asked. “I thought it was fake, I thought it had to be AI but no. Like be bold, but if you’re going to talk about me, then talk about me. Why am I in the back of your weak a** snippet?”

Darius Jackson Shades Keke Palmer With Advice On Twitter: “Wait ‘Til Marriage”

Darius Jackson appeared to diss his ex-girlfriend, Keke Palmer, with a rant on Twitter, Monday afternoon. While discussing the difficulties of a custody battle, he advised his followers to wait until marriage before having children. Jackson and Palmer share a son who was born in 2023.

“I feel for the dads that gave up when it came to custody,” Jackson said. “It’s mentally, emotionally & physically draining. You’ll lose yourself. My spirit is too strong to give up. But I totally understand. I have pondered it. Thank God I have an amazing circle.” In another post, he added: “For those who don’t have kids & this is something that I will emphasize to my son. Wait til marriage & make sure God is the center of your relationship. There’s a rule book that’s been given to us thousands of years ago. Best to follow it. Cause everything else leads to chaos.”

When The Neighborhood Talk shared the posts on Instagram, many users called out Jackson. “U can still be married and all the same shit happens,” one follower commented. “How about STOP blaming all your issues on everything else except YOURSELF. Drake Appears To Shade Rihanna During “It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?” Opening Night

Drake seemed to throw a bit of shade at Rihanna during the opening night of his It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? in Tampa, Florida on Friday night. As his 2016 song, “Work,” began to play, he remarked, “I don’t sing this song anymore, but you [all] can sing it though.”

Drake teamed up with Rihanna for “Work” to assist on the singer’s eighth studio album, Anti. The song was a commercial success, spending nine weeks atop the US Billboard Hot 100. It was also nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 59th Grammy Awards.

Friday night isn’t the first time Drake has appeared to diss Rihanna. On his For All The Dogs cut, “Fear of Heights,” he seemed to be referencing the singer and her album, Anti, with the lyrics. “Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you? / That could never be / Gyal can’t ruin me / Better him than me / Better it’s not me,” Drake raps. “I’m anti, I’m anti / Yeah, and the sex was average with you / Yeah, I’m anti ’cause I had it with you … / And I had way badder bitches than you, TBH.”

It’s no surprise that Blueface’s recent arrest has sparked huge reactions from countless fans. Of course, it’s also taken a major hit on the mother of his third child, Chrisean Rock. Since he’s been behind bars, the Baddies star has been showing love to the “Thotiana” rapper on social media, even recently getting a huge tattoo of his mugshot on her face. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been received well by the rapper’s mother, Karlissa Saffold. She recently called Chrisean’s new ink “absolutely f*cking cr*zy.”

However, they can agree on their desire for Blueface to come home. Saffold has been consistently posting on social media calling for her son’s release since his arrest. She even recently called on none other than Kim Kardashian for help, prompting fans to do the same.

According to Saffold, however, she’s not asking for her son to be let completely off the hook. She simply asks that he be put on house arrest, so he can continue to spend time with his kids. “CAN YOU HELP ME GET MY BOY OUT AND ON HOUSE ARREST,” she posted on her Instagram Story alongside a photo of Kim. “FOR JAVAUGHN’S SAKE.” In a subsequent post, she reiterated that she still wants Blueface to take accountability for his actions, expressing fear that his son is “worrying day and night.”

She later posted a DM she received from a fan, who argued that Javaughn wouldn’t be able to visit Blueface either way, as Jaidyn Alexis wouldn’t let him now that Chrisean is living with him. Her response was simple, however, suggesting that he move back in with Jaidyn. “The judge can put him in his son’s room,” she wrote. Fabolous Shades Mystery Opp On IG Before Dropping “Calling You Up” Freestyle

Fabolous is feeling fiery these days for multiple reasons, and an Instagram Story post from Friday (February 2) is the main reason why, fans think. Moreover, he addressed a mystery enemy with some short but scathing statements: “I saved your reputation by only telling my side of the story. Stay humble.” Of course, the New York MC could be talking about anyone here, and fans also have a new piece of “evidence” to unpack for more answers. He released a music video for the “Calling You Up Freestyle” on Saturday (February 3), another reimagining of a recent Drake beat. He flows really well on it, has some sharp and boastful bars, and even references Drizzy’s Her Loss partner 21 S*vage, echoing the Toronto superstar’s own line about the Slaughter Gang spitter on that instrumental.

Alas, there’s not much to gain here when it comes to this unknown feud, as there are little to no bars that seem particularly pointed. That’s not to say it’s not good, as the performance and charisma here is still solid. Furthermore, that’s a talent that Fabolous has always championed and represented, but something that he’s reminding younger generations of a lot these days. For example, another of his recent freestyles is the cut “Snooze,” and it lives up to his Freestyle Friday series’ high bar of quality control.

However, there is one freestyle that opened up some family wounds, namely the installment “Selfish” which seems to address his estranged relationship with his stepdaughter, Taina Williams. “Selfishness will make someone comment under your pic,” Fabolous raps on the song. “When he took care of you and your mama since you were six/ Who selfish?/ Maybe we all are.” Many felt that this was a direct shot at Williams, who blasted him as an absent father in a comment under his 2022 post congratulating his then-two-year-old daughter Journey.

Rubi Rose has allegedly weighed in on the beef between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion. Social media users reposted an alleged Instagram post made on the “Close Friends” setting by Rose. “Nicki Minaj evil as f-ck. Only option to marry was a pedophile, b-tch evil, pretty in the face but body botched as f-ck, evil spirit a– b-tch, old as f-ck tryna keep up, ozempic really saved her big back self. Beefing with these young girls so lame, b-tch washed…youre 40….. Take care of papa and your drug addiction,” Rose allegedly wrote.

In response, the Barbz jumped into action. Social media was quickly full of Rose previously praising Minaj. This included tweets such as Rose saying “I wish I was Nicki Minaj”. There were also clips from VladTV in which Rose openly praises Minaj and her career. Rose is yet to respond to the allegations that she shaded Minaj on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Minaj appears to be preparing her own response to Megan. Minaj has announced the release of a new single, “Bigfoot”. The track will drop at 3 PM PST on January 28, according to a tweet from Minaj herself. Furthermore, Minaj announced the track with the inclusion of an image of Megan Thee Stallion looking unimpressed. For many fans, this signaled that the track could be a direct musical response to Megan’s recently released “Hiss”.

The beef between the two rappers absolutely exploded this week after Megan’s new track took shots at Nicki. Specifically, Megan took aim at the various connections to sex offenders that Minaj has in her life. The line “Megan’s Law” in “Hiss” refers to the sex offender registry law that Minaj’s husband fell afoul of. Kenneth Petty, who was a childhood friend of Minaj’s, served four years in prison for the attempted rape of a minor. Minaj’s response has mostly been limited to Twitter until the surprise track announcement.

Moreover, fans noticed that Tina liked an Instagram post complaining about how Janet Jackson’s ticket prices were far too expensive for the show length and experience that a concert-goer would get. In particular, this was notable because the IG user compared these financials to that of the Destiny’s Child singer’s recent RENAISSANCE tour.

“What a joke…” user @let68 captioned a screenshot of Janet Jackson’s $2,000+ Meet & Greet & VIP Lounge Packages. “They add $1000 for a 15 second meet & greet again. No front row for fans unless you want to bend over so they can continue to rake in the cash. You want Beyoncé prices, have real production. Just disgusted.
