Hailey Bieber Thanks Selena Gomez For Defending Her, Says They’re Moving Past Narrative

Selena Gomez recently cleared the air and directly addressed her speculated feud with Hailey Bieber, and the latter thanked the singer and actress for her defense. Moreover, this comes after weeks of speculation that they threw shade at each other on social media. In fact, things escalated online so much that Selena fans actually sent death threats to Hailey. As such, the “Only Murders In The Building” star took to Instagram to call out those people and urge everyone to think more considerately. With that, she basically dispelled (or at least reverted) any inkling of bad blood, and the model also took to Instagram to thank Gomez for her actions.

“I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I,” she wrote on her IG Story. “The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together.

Selena Gomez Defends Hailey Bieber, She Thanks Her

“Things can always be taken out of context or constructed differently than they were intended,” the 26-year-old continued. “We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.”

Moreover, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer directly addressed the issue hours prior, after some indirect chastising of people attacking Bieber. “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” her IG Story read. “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.” Come back to HNHH for more updates on this story and the latest from Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber.

Selena Gomez Claims Hailey Bieber Reached Out About Death Threats

The alleged drama between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez reached a peak this week upon Selena telling followers that Hailey reached out to her, saying that she received death threats as a result of their alleged social media spat. Moreover, for those not caught up, many believed that the pop star’s girlfriend threw shade at his ex via Instagram, and a lot of that speculation possibly is what caused the “Only Murders In The Building” star to take a social media break. However, things took a nasty turn when people started speculating more and more.

In fact, now Gomez is telling her fans (and all the Hailey haters) to stop sending death threats and more hatred her way. Of course, she never advocated for such in the first place. “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Friday morning (March 24). “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”

Hailey Bieber Told Selena Gomez That She’s Receiving Death Threats

What’s more is that this is the first time she directly addressed this recent firestorm, although she seemingly spoke on it indirectly earlier this month. “Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health,” she wrote in a TikTok comment. Also, she expressed a heavy heart, presumably over people trashing Bieber for “stealing” her ex and allegedly throwing shade. Overall, the situation got out of hand fast, and is a prime example of the dangers of fandom and specifically reading too much into media posts. While this kind of story has followed both women for a while, its most recent focus dragging Kylie Jenner, eyebrow posts, and other factors into it doesn’t make it any less gross to propagate with such ire.

It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship,” Bieber said on the Call Her Daddy podcast last September. Moreover, she referred to attacks that she took Justin away from Selena. “I would just never do that. I’m not interested in doing that and I never was.” Furthermore, she expressed that her and Selena have a lot of mutual respect for one another. Hopefully this situation doesn’t fake a feud to provoke a real one, and they can move on with their lives. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest on Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez.

Saweetie Explains Liking Shady Tweet Directed At Lil Nas X

Everybody’s been in a situation where we might like a tweet with pictures without reading the caption. Unfortunately for celebrities, that might get you involved in some beef. Saweetie recently explained why she liked a tweet that threw shade at Lil Nas X and his Lollapalooza Chile performance this year. Of course, people took that to mean that she held ill will towards the MONTERO star, or just found the attack on him funny. However, Saweetie clarified her reasoning in a subsequent tweet and denied dissing Lil Nas X.

“I feel like he’s not really gay or not really that feminine it’s so forced,” the shady tweet in question read. While it’s still an assumption, at least it doesn’t stray into legitimately bigoted rhetoric. After many pointed out Saweetie’s like and called her out, she explained in a Twitter message. “He was lookin fine af,” the “Icy Chain” star wrote. “That’s why I liked the video I didn’t see the shadiness …. *unlikes*.” At least she also clarified that it was enough of a dealbreaker to unlike the tweet if it suggested Lil Nas X slander.

In other news concerning the 29-year-old, she recently spoke on being referred to as “Queen of the Bay.” Even though she expressed appreciation, she wasn’t quick to agree with the moniker. “I don’t want to self-proclaim the ‘Queen statement.’ When I’m in certain cities or certain areas, they’ll just call me this and call me that. I’ve been called the ‘Queen of California’ and many queen things. It’s not something I’m trying to title, that’s why I had another voice say it on my [Single Life] project. I don’t like it when people self-proclaim.”

Meanwhile, during his Lollapalooza set, the “INDUSTRY BABY” artist debuted a upcoming collab with Saucy Santana, “Down Souf Hoes.” They’ve been performing it since 2022, and fans are clamoring to get a release as soon as possible. Fortunately, both stars are not stopping anytime soon. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X and Saweetie.

LaNisha Cole Recites “Ciara’s Prayer” As Nick Cannon Welcomes Baby No. 12

Many celebrities became parents this year, including Rihanna and A$AP Rocky and Big Sean and Jhené Aiko. Nick Cannon’s name is also on the list. However, he has everyone else beat as he welcomed a total of five children this year, all of them with different women.

He and Bre Tiesi created their first, Legendary Love a few months ago. Shortly after, LaNisha Cole delivered her first with the entertainer, Onyx. Brittany Bell gave birth to her and Cannon’s third, Rise Messiah next.

Since then, Abby De La Rosa (who already shares twins with the recording artist) and Alyssa Scott have also grown their families. As you may recall, the latter previously carried Zen. He tragically died at just five months old after battling brain cancer.

Obviously, twelve children aren’t easy to handle – especially around the holidays. Cannon was candid about his whirlwind experience this year, comparing himself to Santa Claus as he manically travelled around to spend enough time with all of his offspring.

As his clan continues to expand, the reality TV host has come under scrutiny for his ability to show up for all of his children. For the most part, his baby mamas stay out of the public drama, though LaNisha seems to be using social media to make her voice heard as of late.

Earlier this month, she was linked to headlines when photos of Cannon snapping holiday photos with his other families were circulating online. Now, she’s shared an interesting post on her Story after her baby daddy and Scott’s little one, Halo, was born earlier this week.

“I pray the next man of my life will be my husband. I pray he loves me, leads me, guides me, reassures me,” she wrote, reciting lyrics from “Ciara’s Prayer.” They continue with, “I pray that he hold me. I pray that I have everything I want and need in him.”

“I pray he will love me the way that you love me. Your love is unconditional. You are the way, the truth, and the life. In you there’s hope. Lord, thank you for reminding me who I am,” Cole went on. “I am a queen. I deserve to be treated like one. I’m a warrior. I will get up. I’m a child of God, I’m everything you say I am. I’m an overcomer, I’m built for this.”

While she obviously doesn’t mention Cannon’s name, it’s clear that now that she’s a mother, the model is craving the constant companionship of a strong male in her life.
