Metro Boomin and Future’s collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU sent hip-hop fans into a frenzy for its quality and for its confrontational stance. Moreover, Kendrick Lamar’s feature on “Like That” shaded Drake and J. Cole, proclaiming himself to be the only top dog in what he think is a falsely crowned “Big Three.” Of course, given Metro and Drizzy’s previous tensions plus some new theories that Fewtch is also beefing with OVO, this seems to have prompted a civil war of sorts in the rap game, one that we haven’t seen at this level of visibility and artistry in a long time. But with a couple of days of analysis in the rearview, fans are looking at old tweets and realizing the road here seems to have been paved all along.

Furthermore, fans have also unearthed plenty of old verses, interview clips, social media posts, and other instances and interactions that could inform this current state. However, since no one involved has either directly or indirectly addressed any of this, it’s a tough call to make. Even without this explicit confirmation, though, the narrative is already there, and it’s now on these artists to define how they will proceed.

In addition, some new clips and unearthed footage suggests that this supposed hip-hop war goes much deeper than those targeted on “Like That” or its creators. After Travis Scott popped out at Future and Metro Boomin’s Rolling Loud L.A. set, fans found footage of La Flame asking the duo to play the diss against Drake and J. Cole. While this doesn’t really confirm anything, a lot of social media users assume that Travis has his own issues with either MC. Still, considering that “MELTDOWN” arrived not even a year ago, it would be huge if something went down between him and the 6ix God in that short span of time.

Meanwhile, the “I Serve The Base” team hinted at this rift, but they also definitely predicted that they would hit it big with WE DON’T TRUST YOU. From what the album’s promising first week sales projections indicate, it seems like they would be right in this assessment. After all, the sad reality is that nothing brings clicks quite like conflict, especially amid the highest echelon of the genre. GloRilla Thirsts Over Damian Lillard At NBA All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star weekend took place this past weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. In fact, this storied, event-filled, three-day break away from the regular season is now 73 years deep. However, it seems over the last several iterations, fan interest is on the decline for many reasons. A shake-up may be required to bring some life back into the festivities, just like how the NFL did. Even though the lack of effort from the players in the All-Star Game is concerning the other events seem to be keeping the engagement afloat. Namely the 3-Point Contest, it saw one of its more tightly competitive races for the trophy in recent memory. Damian Lillard emerged victorious with a score of 26 and GloRilla liked what she saw.

However, the Bucks point guard did not stop there. Damian Lillard also took home the All-Star Game MVP after the East surprisingly handled the West, 211-186. He poured in 39 points on 11-23 from three. GloRilla was most likely oohing and ahhing as she watched the superstar have a successful weekend.

She was in so much awe that she had to grab a picture with him after snagging the All-Star Game MVP trophy. GloRilla is on her celibacy journey that she started as a New Year’s resolution. She cleverly used the lyrics in her song “Yeah Glo!” to show she is ready to go risk it all. “Who n**** dis is? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo.” Glo might be in luck because Damian and his college sweetheart, Kay’La Hanson, divorced right around the time he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Kanye West and Elon Musk share a lot in common as two rich creatives with eclectic tendencies and a whole lot of hate online. Comparisons between them have been very common, and they have a pretty interesting bond that is sometimes friendly and occasionally competitive. Recently, Ye let out a tweet asking the tech tycoon “where [his] rocket ship” is at, a reference to his lyric on his new Vultures cut, “CARNIVAL.” In response, Mr. Musk made a cheeky Nicki Minaj reference, tagging her in the tweet as well. After all, as she reminded us so many years ago during her radio heyday, she has a special connection to space travel.

“Starships were meant to fly [get it, Barbz?] and our next one launches in about 3 weeks,” Elon Musk responded to Kanye West. “But I recommend waiting for a few more test flights before hopping on board. @NICKIMINAJ.” As such, this made for a pretty comical crossover moment on social media, and we’ve yet to see whether the Trinidadian MC will hop on a rocket ship, too. We know that Ye probably will when he gets the chance, and that’s one of many notable bars on “CARNIVAL,” albeit for very different and much less “cancelable” reasons.

Of course, this is far from the only rapper to want in on Elon Musk’s empire. But speaking to that point earlier about competition, some MCs think that they can make something even better. For example, Rick Ross recently said that he will prepare really well for the apocalypse, and wants to build an underground bunker that surpasses the 52-year-old’s. It’s no comparison, being smart is the only solid way out the trenches… everything else is wide range life risk just to survive!” Moreover, the Christian MC posted an Instagram video reacting to this on his page. “Big Salute to @meekmill,” he captioned. “Some haters and some blogs don’t wanna see love and support, but that’s exactly what this is. DJ Envy Denies Blackballing Nicki Minaj

Yesterday, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to address DJ Envy, accusing him of blackballing her and throwing a jab about his alleged real estate scam. “Remember how cocky dj envy was when he was saying he black balls my music on the radio?” Nicki wrote. “Ask yourself how a DJ could get away w/that behavior. Then I remember him selling them busted houses & I have to laugh… We prayed, envy 1 by 1… God will show y’all that you are NOT GOD.”

Now, the DJ has responded on The Breakfast Club, claiming that he plays her music nowadays. According to him, he previously decided not to play Nicki’s music because she allegedly threatened to send people to beat a fellow DJ up for his comments on one of her albums. In solidarity, he decided not to include her in his mix.

“I ride for all the DJs. Nicki Minaj at the time got upset and said she was sending some Queens dudes up here to pretty much beat [DJ Self] up. That was wack. You can’t threaten that man for his opinion,” he explained. “The DJs are always the ones that get picked on and that gets beat up… An artist never goes at the other artist, they always say ‘Well, why the DJ played the record.’ What I said was, ‘I’m not going to play Nicki’s record until they squash that beef.‘”

Regardless, thanks to a new tweet that Tinashe liked, it seems like things aren’t over just yet, even if it’s through a innocuous and low-key action. Moreover, she recently liked a tweet that insinuates that the Virginia native is “butthurt” over a rejection.

Chrisean Rock Claims She’s Leaving The Country “Real Soon”

Though she failed to specify the reasoning behind her new plan, fans can speculate what may be leading her to feel this way. The 23-year-old is “days away” from having her first child with Blueface, who she’s known to have a rocky relationship with. Recently, the rapper was also stabbed during one of his training sessions at the gym, making him have to call off an upcoming boxing match.

As of late, most fans have been under the impression that Chrisean and Blueface were no longer an item. They’ve been beefing publicly throughout her pregnancy, and she’s made claims that she’s comfortable raising the child herself. He’s seemed to turn his attention to the mother of his first two children, Jaidyn Alexis, as of late. Amid the drama, Chrisean has said that she’s doing better than ever. It appears as though, however, she may have had a change of heart.
