Sexyy Red is one of the most buzzed-about stars in rap right now, and her quick and recent rise has exposed her to a lot of attention. In addition to her typical career moves, she’s also made a lot of noise for her blunt and free-spirited persona, not shying away from uncomfortable topics or lewd displays. However, the 25-year-old’s openness may follow her for longer that expected, as many hyperfixated on a recent confession of hers. Back in June, she reflected on contracting chlamydia twice, and was very frank about the situation. As such, this made a lot of waves online, and it’s caused fans thirsting for the “Pound Town” MC to change their standards.

Furthermore, Sexyy Red recently responded to a fan who expressed a desire to get an STD from her. On their Instagram page, they posted a picture of dollar bills spelling out “I want the STD” on the street, tagging her in the caption. “It’s gone now mf I den took my meds,” the St. Louis native replied on Twitter, screenshooting the fan’s original post. Hopefully her die-hards can keep that discussion up to the person who experienced them, and look at her as more than that.

The Atlanta rapper and his co-host caught lot of flack when they asked Red to change the subject with a laugh. Many felt that this not only invalidated her experiences, but also deemed what was interesting to talk about- and what wasn’t.

Regardless, it’s unlikely that dismissals like these will slow her down on her journey to the top. By the time they’re through, the stodgy locals have adopted their ways, trading in Earl Grey for Olde English and tea cakes for fried chicken sandwiches.

After exploding into fame with her viral single “Pound Town,” Sexyy Red has become one of the hottest commodities in hip-hop today. Fan Shares Video Of Latto Reportedly Stealing Sexyy Red’s Dance Moves

A fan on Twitter has accused Latto of stealing her stage presence from Sexyy Red, and they have the receipts ready. According to HipHopDX, in a now-deleted tweet, the user shared two clips of the two rappers side-by-side where they appear to be doing some very similar choreography during their performances. Fans were quick to point out that it isn’t the first time she’s been accused of copying someone. Earlier this year clips were shared to try and convince fans that she was copying Ice Spice as well.

In a new clip though, fans seem even more convinced Latto could be copying. “Latto doing Sexyy Red emotes & mimicking her stage presence is the most cringeworthy shit I ever seen. That girl may really be going through something mentally to just mimic whatever she feels is hot at the moment. Imma start calling her DITTO from now on,” the caption attached to the videos said. While she has stated that she will defend herself from any copying allegations, Latto is yet to comment on this situation. Watch the chips below and see if there is copying.

Latto Accused Of Copying Sexyy Red While On Stage

A few weeks ago Latto became the first rapper to hit number one on the Hot 100 this year. She collaborated with BTS member and K-Pop superstar Jung Kook on a song called “Seven.” The track went on to debut at the top spot on the charts breaking a long streak where no rappers had been there. Lil Durk and J. Cole’s “All My Life” and Drake’s “Search & Rescue” both managed to peak at number 2 but were held off by Morgan Wallen’s smash hit “Last Night.”

That Chick Angel Recruits FendiDa Rappa, Flo Milli, And Sexyy Red To Keep The ‘One Margarita’ Party Going

If you follow Uproxx’s The Best New Hip-Hop This Week, you might have seen last week when I went on a mini-rant about That Chick Angel’s underrated summer song “One Margarita” being so overlooked. That may soon change; after releasing a remix with Saucy Santana last week, TCA follows up this week with a “Ladies Remix” version to keep the party going, recruiting FendiDa Rappa, Flo Milli, and her raunchy rap counterpart Sexyy Red, who has been on a roll lately after her own freaky hit “Pound Town” became a smash in its own right.

The new verses hit all the main points — mainly, that inebriation will, to quote Flo Milli, “turn them to hoes.” That Chick Angel even sneaks in some subtly impressive rhyme play, pairing “amorous” with “scandalous,” and preemptively cuts off all the smoke the song is sure to receive. “I know you hatin’ sayin’, ‘You a mom,’ but / Give me four margarita’s I’ma be my husband’s slut,” she wisecracks, shutting down critiques of the song’s freaky material. The coup de grace is at the end, when she admits, “I’m lyin’. Imma be sleep,” because anyone in a longterm relationship knows how that goes.

This single is seriously “song of the summer” material, but it also has staying power — it’s authentic and clever and relatable and all the other things that can make a song a fan favorite — and even if it doesn’t get its due before the leaves turn, I can see it being a fixture at resort clubs far into the future. Sexyy Red is never shy when it comes to speaking about her personal experiences, as embarrassing, lewd, or aggressive as they may be. After all, a lot of it happens to her, and she’s not necessarily the instigator in a lot of these cases. Moreover, the 25-year-old rapper recently appeared on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, where they discussed a breadth of issues. When they talked about intimacy and their sexual experiences, Red revealed why someone leaked her sex tape in the first place. Apparently, it all traces back to a car accident, as odd as that sounds.

Furthermore, around the 26-minute mark of the conversation, Sexyy Red says she hooked up with a man in a relationship. If you’re wondering how that has anything to do with a car crash, let’s just say that the guy was apparently a little careless both on the road and on his phone. “So they [the man and his partner] got into a car accident, and he left his phone at the car accident and left her at the scene,” the St. Louis MC explained. “She went through his phone and saw a video of him eating my c***hie on the phone, and she posted it on the internet.”

In another part of the conversation, Yachty, Sexyy Red, and co-host MitchGoneMad spoke about condoms, adding even more material to their relationship discussion.
