Ye’s Donda Academy Students Nearly Put In Cages, Staff Faced Physical Threats New Lawsuit Alleges

As a Gemini, Ye’s fast-paced, intellectual brain finds happiness in constant stimulation. It’s no wonder he has his hands in the worlds of rapping, producing, designing clothing, styling his loved ones, and countless other creative business ventures. A few years ago, one of the father of four’s biggest passion projects was his Donda Academy school, though it’s now causing Ye far more strife than he likely ever anticipated. Lawsuits came flooding in last summer, and today (April 2), another plaintiff joined in the fight against the “Good Morning” rapper.

Documents obtained by NBC News reveal that Trevor Phillips’ experience working at Donda Academy was less than ideal. Ye reportedly “compared himself to Hitler, minus the gas chambers,” and even appeared to “simulate masturbation during a one-on-one meeting in a Southern California hotel room” while watching The Batman on mute. Elsewhere in the same lawsuit, Phillips speaks of Black people being called out in a discriminatory manner, being pushed to do renovations without permits, and threats of being fired for being “fat.”

This Isn’t the First Lawsuit Against Ye and Donda Academy

Phillips recalls Ye “gloating” to the staff at both Yeezy and Donda Academy about using millions of dollars from the school’s budget toward a trip to Paris. He was ultimately fired after an issue with the garden in the school, at which time the Atlanta native became explosively angry and told his staffer, “I was going to punch you in the face.” On top of all of this, the private Christian school founder allegedly expressed interest in shaving student’s heads and locking them in cages.

Interestingly, it was little more than a month ago that Ye announced the return of his controversial Donda Academy under a slightly different name, along with a few other changes. However, no matter how much he alters his programs, freedom of expression will always remain at the heart of his school’s core values. The Weeknd Teams with School on Wheels to Support Over 1,000 Students Experiencing Homelessness in L.A.

The Weeknd Announces Upcoming Pandemic, BLM-Inspired Album

Global music sensation Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye has significantly contributed to the Los Angeles-based organization School on Wheels, aiming to support over 1,000 students facing homelessness from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The primary mission of School on Wheels is to enhance educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged children in the city.

The Weeknd’s substantial donation will bolster crucial programs. This includes supporting the School on Wheels’ Literacy Program, providing in-person tutoring and essential tools for students aged 5-8, and aiding them in learning to read and write.

Additionally, the contribution will assist students living in homeless situations to graduate high school in 2024, addressing the challenge of only 68% of unhoused students typically completing high school.

Moreover, the donation will provide laptops, Chromebooks, internet access, and software for hundreds of students experiencing homelessness. This aims to bridge the digital divide exacerbated by the pandemic-induced shift to online learning. The software, including Renaissance Star Assessments, MyOn, and Freckle, will help assess students and offer adaptive learning based on their educational gaps.

The Weeknd’s generous gesture aligns with his commitment to social impact and provides hope for disadvantaged students striving for a brighter educational future. To learn more about School on Wheels and its mission, visit www.SchoolonWheels.org.

Colorado Students Told To Behave During USC Game

Colorado Athletic Director Rick George penned a letter to the student body this week as the Buffs prepare to take on #8 USC. George’s letter outlined the behavioral expectations being placed on students attending the game. “We want to remind [students] of our expectations of fan conduct during games. We expect all our fans to refrain from vulgar language, verbal or physical abuse, underage drinking, and overall intoxication. This type of conduct will not be tolerated at our home sporting events, and I have instructed our gameday staff and members of law enforcement to enhance their monitoring efforts of our fans’ conduct.

Furthermore, George asked fans to refrain from storming the field in the event Colorado wins as 21.5-point underdogs. “Although ‘rushing the field’ has long been a college football tradition, in recent years, many schools and conferences are cracking down on the practice, as it greatly jeopardizes the safety of players, coaches, staff and other fans,” the statement continued. “Rushing the field is in violation of University and Pac-12 regulations. Unfortunately, after both of our first two home games, we received an inordinate number of complaints regarding fan conduct (especially student conduct), and after both of our home game victories, students and fans ‘rushed the field.’ Such conduct is unacceptable, and I ask you to please refrain from such behavior for any future events.”

Deion Sanders Claim He Does Nothing But Respect Opposing Coaches

Meanwhile, head coach Deion Sanders has opened up about a level of disrespect he has perceived from opposing coaches. “I have an enormous amount of respect for all the other coaches. It’s just not reciprocated. Have you ever heard me say anything derogatory about a player or coach? Not even when I played I was known to be this talker. I don’t do that. Even when I played, you thought I did, but I’ve never talked to my opponents, I never [have]. I don’t believe in that, man, I just don’t. But I have a tremendous amount of respect for all of them, especially Lincoln Riley and some of these guys who have been consistently really good and have been consistent leaders; not only leading their teams to a multitude of victories, but leading these guys into the NFL. I have a tremendous amount of respect for them.”

USC, led by the aforementioned Riley, will be a tough challenge for Colorado. The Trojans have the highest-scoring offense in the country and a defense that’s only allowing 20 points a game. As mentioned, Colorado is once again one of the biggest underdogs of the week, with USC favored by 21.5. Only Charlotte, Northwestern, Nevada, and Stanford are bigger underdogs this weekend. We’ll be sure to report what goes down in the game tomorrow evening.

Sexyy Red’s “SkeeYee” Catchphrase Used By Teacher To Calm Her Students Down

Sexyy Red’s an absolute phenomenon these days, capturing the hearts of many listeners and fans and linking up with everyone from Chrisean Rock to Drake and even Tyler, The Creator. However, her viral nature is spreading to unexpected places that are ruffling some feathers. For example, an elementary school teacher recently went viral online for using the rapper’s “SkeeYee” catchphrase to calm her students down. Memori Peoples recently posted the interaction online, and some viewers love that educators are engaging with children in more fun, creative, and cooperative ways. On the other hand, others expressed concern over the St. Louis native being played to kids given her explicit content.

“If you see me and you tryna see wassup,” Peoples quotes from Sexyy Red’s hit as her class is talking amongst themselves in the clip. “SkeeYee!” they respond. “Day 2 of the school year!,” she captioned her post. “Each year I have different call and response because each class is different! And well……this class has spoken! Students: ‘This one hits!’ Me: Chhhiillee. #teacher #teacherlife #elementaryschool.” Despite the backlash, it does make you think of what other popular songs could be good to use in this way.

Teacher Uses Sexyy Red’s “SkeeYee” To Engage Students

Moreover, it’s important to note that we don’t really have the full context behind this interaction. For one, Peoples seemed to imply that the kids just really like Sexyy Red, so this might not even be of her own design. In addition, it’s not like she’s playing “SkeeYee” in her class or quoting any lewd or inappropriate parts of it. Regardless, this will still be a heavy debate for many, but one that’s become unfortunately all-too-common for female expression in hip-hop. There’s a lot that the boys get away with without a fuss, and femcees always get the short end of the stick.

Still, this double standard failed to stop the 25-year-old from rising to the top of the game. With a new collab with Lil Durk on the way, it seems like she’ll continue this upward trajectory for the foreseeable future. Let’s see how she continues to make her way into other pop culture and cultural corners. With that in mind, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sexyy Red.

Ohio High School Students Place Racist “Blacks Only, Whites Only” Signs Above Water Fountains

FS n5KCWIAAQ Jj

An Ohio school district will discipline high school students who put up “whites only” and “Blacks only” signs over water fountains.

The Cincinnati-area students taped the signs up, posted photos on social media and then took them down. The district released a statement calling it a “tasteless and hurtful act” and said they issued severe disciplinary actions.

Colerain High School, which has an enrollment of 1,730 students, is about 30 percent Black and about 50 percent White, according to U.S. News & World Report via The Washington Post.

A statement that was released on Monday from Northwest Local School District read: “We want to make sure our staff, students, families and community understands where we stand on racial intolerance, discrimination, racism and hatred. We take this matter very seriously. This type of behavior is not and will not be condoned or tolerated.”
