Having fans is a bit of a mixed bag: People enjoying your work is great, but sometimes, they can say things that get under your skin. In a recent interview, Sexyy Red was asked about fan interactions that annoy her, and she responded, “I hate when they say I look like Young Thug ’cause no the f*ck we do not look alike.”
In the comments of a DJ Akademiks upload of the interview clip, a lot of the responses were disagreeing with Red. Comments include, “She literally do look like thugger tho,” “Man she ain’t fooling nobody I know thug when I see him,” and, “I never seen young thug n sexy redd in the same room before.”
Now, Red has given in. In a tweet from August 30, the rapper shared a side-by-side image of her and Thug, adding, “Yea that’s my twin I must admit [laughing emoji].”
Meanwhile, she just announced The Hood Hottest Princess Tour, which kicks off with a Boston concert in October and will hit a number of other North American cities between then and the end of November. She also recently linked up with Tyler The Creator and the two snapped some photos together, one of which really got people talking.
Sexyy Red has been the butt of a lot of jokes throughout the past week or so. Most recently, the up-and-coming rap star voiced her frustrations with people saying she looks like Atlanta legend Young Thug. While we can see why a woman would not like her looks to compared to a man’s appearance, it is still a funny thing to think about. In the interview, Red says, “Cuz no the f*** we do not look alike.” The video clip is hilarious as it shows her and Thug in a side-by-side comparison. However, Lil Durk is now getting in on the action.
Just over a week ago, Lil Durk tweeted out to his followers saying, “Feel like going on my feature run… I’m healed …. First stop sexy red second stop ytbFATT.” If you notice, the Chicago rapper spells Sexyy Red’s name wrong. Intentional or not, she did not take too kindly to that. She replied to his tweet, “Dang u gon spell my name wrong Lil Jerk ?” She included the crying laughing emoji with the disappointed face emoji. Subsequently, Durk thought it would be funny to continue the running gag. Let’s just say he succeeded in keeping the joke alive.
Durk shared an image to his Instagram story that shows a recording file for the remix to Red’s song “Hellcats SRTs.” The song appears on her sophomore album Hood Hottest Princess. Once again Durk pokes fun at her with the file reading “cexy reddd lol for calling me jerk.” The St. Louis rapper responded to the image on Twitter, “Ok lol luh derk got me lost for words right now.” It will be interesting to hear both artists on a song with some out-there lyrics from Red.
What are your initial thoughts on Lil Durk trolling Sexyy Red like this? Are you excited about this remix of “Hellcats SRTs?” Do you think it will be better than the original? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around the music world.
Seeing as Sexyy Red’s most famous bars are completely unserious lines like “My coochie pink, my bootyhole brown,” many were skeptical of how far the redhead could take herself in the rap industry. Despite rumours that salacious songs from female artists are becoming less attractive to the general public, Red’s Hood Hottest Princess album helped solidify her space in the industry. In fact, she has some of the most popular male rappers desperate to meet her, including Drake, G Herbo, and Tyler, The Creator. Another artist who was eager to work with the 25-year-old is Lil Durk, and much to fan’s pleasure, they’ve been teasing a collaboration on Twitter throughout the last few weeks of August.
“Feel like going on my feature run,” the Chicago native shared with fans on Twitter recently. “I’m healed. First stop, Sexy Red. Second stop, ytbFATT,” Durk added. Of course, the rap diva was quick to point out the misspelling of her name. “Dang, [you] gon spell my name wrong Lil Jerk?” she quipped.
Sexyy Red and Lil Durk Promote Their Remix on Twitter
It’s obviously never pleasant to have one’s name spelled incorrectly, especially by a co-worker, though Durk and Red seem to be having fun with their online banter ahead of the “HELLCATS & SRTS (Remix)” release. The Voice tweeted out a photo of a computer screen on which he once again spelt his collaborator’s moniker wrong. “Cexy Reddd lol for calling me Jerk,” he playfully teased her. Once she got the message on Tuesday (August 29) morning, the “Hood Rats” hitmaker replied, “Ok lol, Luh Derk got me lost for words right now .”
Even with all the time she’s been spending in the studio and on stage performing lately, Sexyy Red still managed to cross something major off her bucket list earlier this month. The St. Louis-born star attended her first-ever frat party, and she definitely brought the right attitude to the event. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
It’s Sexyy Red’s moment right now. The St. Louis rapper’s wishes are all coming true; she’s met (and opened for) Drake, she got a cute photo with Tyler The Creator, and she’s set to turn cities across America into Pound Town satellites with her upcoming Hood Hottest Princess Tour. She’s got a lot of momentum, and it looks like she’s not letting any of it slip away.
Next on her agenda is a remix of her Hood Hottest Princess single “Hellcats & SRTS” featuring none other than Lil Durk. The two rappers had a humorous exchange recently when Durk teased the upcoming collab, but accidentally misspelled Red’s rap name in his tweet. “Feel like going on my feature run,” he wrote. “I’m healed….First stop sexy red second stop ytbFATT.”
The error prompted her to tease him with a typo of her own (albeit an intentional one), writing, “Dang u gon spell my name wrong Lil Jerk?”
The two rappers kept the gag going this week, with Durk sharing a screenshot of his DAW (digital audio workstation) session featuring the reveal of the collab’s title and a joking, even worse misspelling of “cexy reddd” for the artist name. She came right back, cracking, “Ok lol luh derk got me lost for words right now.” The funny exchange has both rappers’ fans hype for the collab; clearly, if they have this much chemistry online, their musical connection is going to be a must-listen.
Fresh off the success of her album, Hood Hottest Princess, emerging Hip-Hop sensation Sexyy Red is taking center stage with her very own headlining tour. Titled the Hood Hottest Princess Tour, this highly anticipated event marks a defining moment in the artist’s career.
After garnering attention in the Hip-Hop and Rap circles, Sexyy Red secured a supporting slot alongside industry heavyweights Drake and 21 Savage on the ongoing It’s All a Blur Tour. Now, she’s ready to take the spotlight for herself with her inaugural headlining venture.
Produced by Live Nation, the 20-city tour is set to ignite on October 16th at Boston’s renowned Paradise Rock Club. The journey will traverse major U.S. cities including Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, and more, culminating in a final crescendo in San Francisco on Nov. 29th.
Sexyy Red’s album, Hood Hottest Princess, dropped on June 9, and quickly established its dominance by entering the Top 10 on the U.S. Apple Music Top Albums chart on release day. The album also achieved the milestone of entering the Billboard 200 just three weeks later. Notably, Sexyy Red also made her mark on the Billboard Hot 100 with the infectious hit “Pound Town 2” featuring none other than Nicki Minaj.
For fans eager to catch Sexyy Red’s electrifying live performances, tickets for the “Hood Hottest Princess Tour” will be available starting Friday, Aug. 25, at 10 AM local time on Ticketmaster.com.

Sexyy Red has been having an incredible year. Her viral hit “Pound Town” led to some impressive opportunities, from an invite to the BET Awards to an “iconic” booking at Rolling Loud Miami. Her dreams keep coming true — including one in which she meets Tyler The Creator, apparently. The 25-year-old naturally would have grown up on Tyler’s grungy hits, so it makes sense that she’d be so excited to meet him in real life:
However, once the photos of their meetup hit social media, fans found that they could only focus on one thing: Tyler’s rump. The two rappers both poked it out for an irreverent middle finger pose, but users were bemused to learn that T’s been packing one ginormous pooper. Of course, Tyler’s been into skateboarding and biking practically his entire life, so it makes sense that his glutes would be well-developed — it’s just that nobody was aware just HOW well-developed.
The responses are as hilarious as they are varied, with fans comparing Tyler’s backside to other famously rotund derrieres like those of Kim Kardashian and Cardi B. Naturally, the jokes flew fast and furiously, with one user cracking, “They having a bake off.” Another common claim was fans wondering if Tyler had joined the BBL trend, getting a Brazilian butt lift for added badonk. You can see just some of the funny responses below.
DaBaby hasn’t slowed down the speed with which he’s released new material. Last year he dropped two new albums starting with BETTER THAN YOU a full-length collaborative project with NBA Youngboy. He followed it up with Baby On Baby 2 a sequel to his breakout project. Now, he’s back in the studio working on some new material with an unpredictable cast of collaborators. Nas and his frequent producer Hit-Boy, as well as Big-Hit and Top Dawg Entertainment member Ab-Soul were all together in the studio. While it’s unclear specifically what they’re working on, that much talent in one room was sure to draw attention.
Given that none of the three rappers involved have collaborated before and that they occupy such different styles of the genre, fans aren’t really sure what to make of the new videos. Some online are already claiming that Nas would wash Dababy in any song they made together while others are confused how Ab-Soul’s word-bending lyrical style would fit in with either artist. On top of that, none have expressly announced new music coming soon so it’s unclear what they could be working on. Regardless, others expressed excitement at the potential for some unexpected collaborations to emerge from the studio sessions.
Recently, DaBaby has been trying his hand at a new medium entirely. The rapper has taken a spin at directing music videos this year. Just last week Lil Duval dropped a music video for one of his new songs that was directed by Baby. That was just a month after clips of the rapper directing a different music video for Moneybagg Yo first hit the internet.
Earlier this year DaBaby released a new hit song in “SHAKE SUMN.” The track has stuck in the Hot 100 for months since it first dropped. Along it the way it got a remix from up-and-coming star Sexyy Red. What do you think of DaBaby hitting the studio with Nas and Ab-Soul? Let us know in the comment section below.
Sexyy Red’s profile has increased significantly over the past year, and that means she’s been receiving all different kinds of attention. That includes from a fan who apparently wants to contract a sexually transmitted disease from the rapper. They got Red’s attention, as she actually responded to the STD request.
An Instagram user shared a photo of themselves sitting on the ground outside of a hospital’s ambulance bay. Written on the ground in dollar bills in front of him was, “I want the STD.” He tagged the rapper in the caption, writing, “@sexyyred … I Dont Kare.” Red responded on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “It’s gone now mf I den took my meds.”
This comes after a June appearance on Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast, during which Red revealed she’s been diagnosed with chlamydia twice (as HipHopDX notes). Red said, “They act like this sh*t not going on in the world. I had chlamydia before twice. This is what happened: Me and my n**** was together, and we broke up ’cause he was cheating on me. Then I went and did me, and he did him. And then we missed each other, came back together. We both was like, ‘What the f*ck is that smell?’ And we want to the doctor together and yup… we still don’t know who did it.”
Sexyy Red has definitely developed one wild following. A fan spelled out in money that he wanted to contract whichever STD Sexyy Red once. Sexyy Red’s response: “It’s gone now.”
Hitting Twitter, Sexyy Red shared the image and wrote, “It’s gone now mf I den took my meds.”
Sexyy Red pulled up on Lil Yachty for his A Safe Space podcast and gave a pretty graphic look into her bedroom life. During the conversation, Red reveals how an ex-boyfriend thought he caught her cheating because of a condom in the trash can. Jokes on him, Sexyy Red doesn’t use condoms.
“That wasn’t my condom,” Sexyy Red said. “I don’t use condoms baby. I’m the raw dog queen.”
Previously, during an episode of Angela Yee’s Lip Service Podcast, Sexyy Red recalled contracting chlamydia. “I had chlamydia before twice. This what happened, me and my nigga broke up cause he was cheating on me. I went and did me, he did him, and we both was like ‘what the f–k is that smell?’”
St. Louis sensation, Sexyy Red, is taking her fans on a scorching summer tour with the #SexyySummer itinerary. Ahead of her debut Rolling Loud Miami performance, Sexyy dropped the NSFW video for “Hellcats SRTS” from her Hood Hottest Princess mixtape.
The video features Sexyy and her crew, including GloRilla, cruising through the streets in sport mode, unapologetically showcasing her love for fast cars, good weed, and generous companions.
