During a recent live stream, Soulja Boy opened up about how getting harsh criticism from one of his idols impacted him. According to the rapper, Snoop Dogg had some less than flattering things to say about his 2007 hit, “Crank That.” He explained how his comments took a toll on him, as he was somebody that the then-teenager looked up to.

“I love f*ckin’ Snoop Dogg, to this day,” Soulja Boy began. “When I first came out he was like ‘Crank That? What is that bullsh*t…’” Unfortunately, the criticism weighed heavy on him at the time, though they’ve since made amends. “N***a that hurt my f*cking soul, I wanted to cry,” he revealed. “I was 17 at the time so I’m like, ‘this is my f*cking idol f*ckin’ telling me that I suck.’”

Eventually, the two of them came face to face, and Snoop Dogg apologized to Soulja Boy for his harsh words. “I met Snoop Dogg in person and he was like ‘man, my bad,’” he recalled. The Chicago native went on to describe how Snoop Dogg claimed he just didn’t “understand” the song when it first came out. Luckily, the track eventually grew on him.

While he may have been able to forgive Snoop Dogg for his “Crank That” criticism, he didn’t hold back when Chinese Kitty dissed his music last month. The 28-year-old had said that she was “forced” to listen to his music because her son is a fan, prompting Soulja Boy to fire back. “F*ck all of y’all, man. Y’all always trying to shade me, for what? Kai Cenat was live on stream when he was sent a recent Jason Lee clip of Chrisean Rock saying that Blueface doesn’t “f-ck with him”. Safe to say, Cenat was stunned by the revelation. “Yoooo! Dude! Blueface! He said he don’t f-ck with me! What the f-ck? Why he say f-ck me for? What the f-ck? Damn, Blue, that’s tough. Damn my n-gga, damn bruh. That’s tough my n-gga,” Cenat said aghast.

However, things didn’t stop there. Cenat circled back around to the topic after he caught himself singing Rock’s single, “Vibe”. “Why Blueface say f-ck me for? Nah, Blueface dead don’t f-ck with a young n-gga. But it’s like bruh, if you don’t f-ck with me, then you don’t f-ck with the mafia, bruh. However, Rock’s conversation with Jason Lee is not her only recent link to Cenat. She also rolled up for a time on his recent weeklong prison roleplay stream. While there, Rock managed to get up to her usual NSFW antics. “Hey y’all, you like my new teeth? They turn you on? Wait till you see them on your d-ck!” Rock chirped before sucking her thumb suggestively as Cenat watched on in disbelief.

Of course, the entire stream was filled with wild moments, and not just from Rock. On the final full day of the stream, things got a little serious. During a brawl in the cafeteria, an unidentified participant sustained a head injury after running away from the fight. While retreating, the man slipped and fell directly into a wall, going limp for several seconds. While he did appear to regain consciousness soon after, it was a pretty scare moment. As he was helped away, people pointed out that there was now a visible hole in the plaster where the man had hit it. Furthermore, all the roleplaying stopped as people crowded around him to make sure he was okay. The man was initially identified as Tee Grizzly. However, that report has since been debunked.

The n****s who might have old songs, they can’t do those old songs right now.”

The Internet’s busiest music nerd recently reacted to Drake’s For All The Dogs on stream, and his thoughts might surprise you. For those unaware, Anthony Fantano (The Needle Drop on YouTube) is arguably the most popular, respected, and simultaneously most notorious music critic online right now. Following a string of negative reviews, the Toronto superstar actually took shots at him head-on via a Twitter direct message, which Drizzy himself exposed. As such, you can imagine that people don’t expect Fantano to be an OVO fan. However, amid a lot of other takes, he actually had a lot of nice things to say about the new album.

For example, Anthony Fantano called Drake’s track “Tried Our Best” a top 10 track in his discography. Calling it “one of his best songs in a long time,” the reviewer called it a beautiful cut. Still, he said there were only a couple of bars that he was lukewarm on, so it’s a bit of a back-handed compliment. Regardless of that, The Needle Drop labeled it a great progression, much to the disbelief of his fanbase in the chat. Maybe that’s not because they disagree, but because the Connecticut native is usually not a fan of the 6 God’s material, especially the slower and smoother offerings.
