Pressa And Toosii Flex Their Success On “W Hotel”

Canada and North Carolina talents have just merged to bring a perfect track for those chill late nights. Pressa and Toosii, two rappers who have been in the game for about 13 years in total are meeting for the first time. Their respective abilities have formed a new single called “W Hotel.” For both of these auto-crooners, this is the first single that they have been a part of in 2024.

For Pressa, the Toronto native, this is his first track since November of 2023. Back then, he dropped a solo cut called “Pressalicious,” another chill and dance-ready vibe. This song may make a nice comeback for the summer of 2024 because its release during the winter just did not fit the timeline. On the feature side of things, Toosii is returning after dropping “IDGAF.”

“W Hotel” is a song about wealth, girls, and street life. Nothing out of the ordinary whatsoever topically, but it gets the job done. The best part about the cut is the beat. However, fans seem to like it. Pressa shared a post from Spotify on his Instagram showing how many streams it racked up since its release just yesterday. At the time of the post, it was already over 63,000 streams. Maybe you will enjoy it more than us. Go give it a try with the link above.

Yeah, I’m with Pressa and pressure
Two geeks in the lab like Dexter
New Rolls Royce, it’s electric, Spectre
Put me all on my feels, won’t text her
Ayy, Pressa (Yo, Crodie)
Yeah, I’m at the top of the W, I got some h**s tryna link with the homies

50 Cent’s Opening Act Stopped From Going On Stage By Police

50 Cent is dealing with the fallout from yet another incident on a tour that has been absolutely packed with them. This time the rappers “Final Lap” tour was in Edmonton, Canada and had issues before 50 could even get on stage. That came from the local police’s handling of one of his opening acts, Pressa. According to HipHopDX, the anti-gang wing of the police department raised red flags about some of the Toronto rapper’s gang affiliations. As a result they refused to let him perform and even escorted him out of the venue entirely for “security reasons.”

It’s the newest issue in what has been a string of problems for 50 Cent on his ongoing tour. Late last month, after getting frustrated with repeated technical difficulties 50 threw his microphone into the crowd during a show. It ended up hitting a radio host in attendance and pictures of the aftermath of the impact went viral. The incident caused many to criticize 50, including old foes like The Game and Ja Rule. Similar to Cardi B earlier this year he was made the subject of a battery investigation as a result of the mic throw.

50 Cent Show Disrupted By Cops

Just a few days later, 50’s tour had another viral issue. According to reports, Lil Wayne was set to join the rapper on-stage during one of his shows. But unfortunately before he could go out, someone back stage pushed him. The push must have rubbed Wayne the wrong way as he stormed out without performing. He addressed both issues at another show a few days later.

50 Cent was also getting some negative attention from fans of Russell Wilson and Ciara on social media. That spawned from a post he made celebrating the 16th anniversary of Curtis earlier this week. What do you think of the Canadian police preventing Pressa from going on stage to open for 50 Cent? Let us know in the comment section below.

Pressa Breaks Down The Basics of Wassa Language And All The Ways To Use It

Just last year, Pressa blessed UPROXX Sessions with his performance of “Blame Me,” where the Ontario rapper reflects on the haters and anybody who switched up on him. But now he’s back to break down Wassa Language, a lingo that you need to adopt.

Pressa kicked it off by telling our very own Cherise Johnson that “wassa” means savage, which is a pretty accurate way to describe some of these next terms.

If you’re trying to do the nasty with someone, you should ask them if they want to “oneaz.” If you feel like someone is trying to finesse you, ask them why they are “kawaling” you like that.

Wassa language also has a term that you can use for the next time you hop in the smoke session. Instead of asking somebody to pass you the weed, ask them to pass the “deadmihanna,” which can also be shortened into “deadmi.”

And the term that you can probably get the most usage out of is “crodie,” which is basically just brodie with a c.

Watch Pressa’s Wassa Language with UPROXX below.

In addition to being the resident expert on the latest lingo, Pressa released a single “Unfollow Me” last month and is currently on the Canadian leg of “The Final Lap Tour” with 50 Cent and Jeremih.

Pressa Brings The Wavy ‘Blame Me” To ‘UPROXX Sessions’

You may know the Ontario rapper Pressa as one of the opening acts on Drake’s 2017 Boy Meets World European tour, catapulting him into the spotlight. If not get acquainted with today’s UPROXX Sessions talent responsible for hits like “420 in London” featuring Lil Uzi Vert and “Chrome Hearts” with the late Drakeo The Ruler.

Decked in all black, including his signature ski mask, Pressa performs his single “Blame Me,” released back in August. He starts off his UPROXX Sessions pondering the haters and why those around him switched up, two questions essential to any rapper’s catalog. His energetic performance rivals the track’s lyrical content like “I gave them all my heart and they left me so scarred, ooh, / They crossed me and you helped them play a part in it,” where Pressa reminds the audience that it’s truly him versus the world.
