Slimelife Shawty Appears To Explain Reason For YSL Plea Deal In Alleged Audio Leak

Last year, Slimelife Shawty and Lil Durk both accepted plea deals to avoid facing trial over their connection to the Atlanta-based YSL. The group, led by Young Thug, has long been deemed a criminal gang by prosecutors and now faces a sprawling RICO trial in Fulton County. However, alleged audio recordings released by News Made It appears to shed more like on why Shawty took the deal. Alongside messages in which Shawty appears to argue that he did it for his family, audio messages appear to drive the message home. “It really made me think – damn, who gonna be there for my kids?,” Shawty can reportedly be heard saying. “I don’t fuck with a n*gga like that. I ain’t gonna be around a n*gga like that,” Shawty allegedly continued. The second comment was in reference when asked if he’s spoken with Durk since the plea.

It is very important to note that aside from the audio, there is nothing officially tying this leak to Shawty. Many people in the comments have accused News Made It of falsifying the audio or manipulating it for the sake of a story. Therefore, at this time, we have to say that this is an alleged leak without much evidence to back it up. Furthermore, News Made It does not appear to be claiming that they are the original source of the audio, meaning it is also unclear where they got it from themselves. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they come in.

Furthermore, it’s been a pretty busy week in regard to the YSL trial and its ever-unfolding consequences. The complex nature of the case has led to the delay of YFN Lucci’s trial. The primary reason for the delay in Lucci’s case is that Lucci is actually part of the YSL case. “YFN Lucci’s trial was due to begin January 9, same as Young Thug’s. The YFN gang and RICO case is just as wide-ranging as the YSL case,” Chidi tweeted. “The two are connected; Lucci is a witness,” tweeted journalist George Chidi. “And here we go. For clarification: Lucci is on the state’s witness list. That doesn’t mean he’s going to testify, but he could still be called. Don’t @ me with questions about snitching. I don’t care.”

However, it’s the possibility that Lucci could be called to testify means that his trial cannot start. Prosecutors would not want to begin only to be postponed if he was called to testify in the YSL case. This comes as more twists emerge in the YSL case. Last week, a warrant was ordered on the laptop of attorney Eric Johnson. Johnson had been accused of allowing one of his clients, Christian Eppinger, to use his laptop to contact people and YSL contacts outside of prison. Previously, the investigation into Eppinger’s conduct led to the arrest of a Fulton County deputy, who was reportedly in a romantic relationship with Eppinger. Given the chaotic state of the YSL trial, it’s unclear how long Lucci’s trial will remain delayed.

YSL Mondo Reacts to Gunna’s Album: ‘You Still Folded On Your Ma

Screen Shot 2023 01 23 at 4.39.25 PM

YSL Mondo has heard Gunna’s new album and is delivering a message: “You still folded on your man’s”

Mondo delivered the message on his Instagram Story. “I heard your album lil buddy & like I always said we can’t take the fact that you make good music away from you but baby boy you still folded on your man’s I can’t take you serious definitely can’t take you serious rapping about street shit lol might as well go gospel my boy you done in the streets.”

This isn’t the first time Mondo has called out Gunna. In a January episode of the Ugly Money Podcast with Murphy Lee, Youg Slime Life co-founder Mondo called out his former partner Gunna for supposedly snitching as a part of the plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

When asked what comes to mind when he hears certain words with Gunna’s name being mentioned, Mondo replied, “I’m talking personally, on everything I love, I’m talking I know what’s going. Boy, you ain’t supposed to do that, my brother. Even if I did be talking to nobody, everybody who got common sense, everybody who’s been in the streets know, you do not, boy, you don’t do no shit like that my brother.”

He went on to say, “I always said, bruh, he was a good genuine n-gga … But certain shit makes you do certain shit … You can’t say, ‘Oh, they tricked me,’ or ‘Oh, I ain’t talked,’ or ‘I don’t know what’s going on.’ Come on, my brother. It’s certain shit you just don’t do. And hey boy, you crossed the line, my brother. You did that.”

When Murph asked if he was calling Gunna a snitch, he responded, “Everybody got the same ears I got? Unless you’re deaf or you’re blind. You took a plea saying you’re the main artist brother, you know this a gang and on top of that you got caught with something and it wasn’t yours, so who else was it? Who doing shit like that? Who doing that?”

Boosie Badazz Reacts To YFN Lucci’s Plea Deal Offer

Boosie Badazz recently shared his opinion on Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis offering YFN Lucci a plea deal. Earlier today, it was revealed that the rapper has chosen to turn down the deal. This means that he’s now headed to trial to fight the RICO charges. The deal would see Lucci serve 17 years behind bars if he had accepted. He would have had to plead guilty to felony murder, racketeering, aggravated assault, and violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act.

On Instagram Live, Boosie claims that he knows Lucci doesn’t deserve the charges he’s been hit with. He explains that Lucci “goes home every night to his family,” saying that he’s “doing none of that sh*t [that he’s accused of].” Boosie also says, “it’s a bad RICO, dog.” He goes on to question statements made by a witness, claiming that they sound as though they’ve been paid.

Boosie Says Witness Sounds “Paid”

Lucci’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Gabe Banks, told TMZ that they believe the plea deal offered was “absurd.” They also claimed the DA is prioritizing “newer, high-profile cases that have completely monopolized the Court’s resources” over Lucci’s case. The attorneys noted the DA’s “utter inability to prosecute complex cases.” Lucci has denied his charges, and now he plans to fight them. His attorneys say, “Despite the obstacles consistently placed in the way of Mr. Bennett’s constitutional right to a speedy and fair trial, we continue to be ready and prepared to defend these false allegations.”

Despite speculation that he may choose to do so, Lucci refused to testify against Young Thug amid his own RICO charges in March. Earlier this week, it was reported that Young Thug, Gunna, and Lil Baby were added to the witness list in the YFN RICO trial. Gunna has faced a massive amount of public backlash following his decision to accept a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial. Since his release from prison, he’s been dealing with rampant accusations that he “snitched” on Young Thug.

YFN Lucci Rejects 20-Year Plea Deal In Favour Of RICO Trial

It seems YFN Lucci has no interest in enduring the same taunting that Gunna’s facing since accepting a plea deal. Earlier this week, reports surfaced claiming that the accused killer was offered a 20-year agreement (17 of those in jail). As TMZ reports, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will only sign off on the deal if Lucci agrees to plead guilty to felony murder, racketeering, aggravated assault, and violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act.

Attorneys Drew Findling and Gabe Banks spoke with the outlet about Willis’ terms this weekend, calling them “absurd.” While representing their client – born
Rayshawn Bennett – the lawyers have apparently noticed the DA “intentionally dragging her feet.” Specifically, they noted that Lucci is still awaiting his trial after over two and a half years in police custody. Instead of putting her attention toward YSL and YFN, Fani is focusing her efforts on “newer, high-profile cases that have completely monopolized the Court’s resources.”

YFN Lucci is Headed to Trial

Elsewhere, Findling and Banks accused the Fulton County DA of having an “utter inability to prosecute complex cases.” While it sounds like they’ve got the odds stacked against them, Lucci’s lawyers sound confident in seeking justice for him. “Despite the obstacles consistently placed in the way of Mr. Bennett’s constitutional right to a speedy and fair trial, we continue to be ready and prepared to defend these false allegations,” they declared to TMZ.

In another report from earlier this week, it was alleged that several huge names in hip-hop will be called to the witness stand as Bennett’s case unfolds. Among them are Gunna, Lil Baby, and Young Thug, though the latter is highly unlikely to appear as his own legal proceedings are still playing out at this time. Do you think YFN Lucci will be able to make a clean break from his RICO trial? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for any updates from the ongoing case.

YFN Lucci Allegedly Offered Plea Deal For 17 Years In Prison

YFN Lucci has been offered a plea deal by the DA, according to reports. The rumored deal would leave him spending 17 years behind bars if accepted. He’s charged with various crimes at the moment, including manslaughter, racketeering, six counts of aggravated assault, and more. He’s serving time now for RICO charges that follow a 2021 drive-by shooting. The incident led to the death of James Adams. Though Lucci is not believed to have killed Adams, per Georgia law he is being held responsible as an accomplice. The rapper was one of several other people charged in Atlanta as part of a major indictment.

In April, a clip of YFN Lucci appearing to pour lean in a jail cell hit the internet. Though it’s unconfirmed what he was pouring into the various bottles, social media users noted that if it was in fact lean, he’d be breaking some major rules.

YFN Lucci’s Alleged Plea Deal

In March, legal documents surfaced that appeared to reveal that YFN Lucci refused to testify against Young Thug and YSL in court despite their reported beef. Lucci was stabbed in jail in 2021, and authorities suggested that the people behind the attack were members of YSL. Young Thug and YSL are also facing their own RICO charges at the moment, and it was speculated that Lucci might choose to testify against them. “Lucci’s name ain’t this case. Lucci on the victim’s side. So Lucci telling,” Wack 100 said last year.

Reporter Goerge Chidi tweeted in February, “YFN Lucci’s trial was due to begin January 9, same as Young Thug’s.” “The YFN gang and RICO case is just as wide-ranging as the YSL case,” he claimed, “The two are connected; Lucci is a witness. But Lucci’s trial date has been postponed, his attorney said Tuesday. No new court date has been set.” He went on to write, “For clarification: Lucci is on the state’s witness list. That doesn’t mean he’s going to testify, but he could still be called.” Lucci’s attorney has denied rumors that he will appear as a witness in the YSL case.

Unfoonk Sentenced To Nearly 10 Years In Jail After Violating YSL Plea Agreement

Unfoonk, Young Thug’s brother, is one of the YSL co-defendants who previously earned their freedom back via a plea deal. Unfortunately, the embattled artist was arrested again last month for violating the terms of his agreement. At the time, officers found a weapon on his person. Unfoonk was brought in on charges of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, persons associated with a criminal street gang to participate in illegal activity, and a few other traffic offences, as HipHopDX reports.

Today (June 5), the Georgia native had his day in court. Sadly for him, Judge Ural Glanville sentenced him to nearly a decade in jail. “Part of the special condition was that you were not supposed to possess a gun,” Unfoonk – born Quantavious Grier – was lectured by the Glanville. “And the state was pretty clear. I find, based upon a preponderance of the evidence, that the state has proved its case that you have violated your probation.”

Unfoonk Has His Day in Court

“Your attorney has asked me to consider a revocation of two years. And I certainly respect her, and I respect that you don’t know unless you ask. But the issue I find aggravating in this particular circumstance is that you got arrested with a gun within six months of you being placed on probation,” the judge continued. Afterward, he made it clear that he doesn’t see Unfoonk as a candidate for probation due to his recent antics.

Other conditions that were a part of last December’s plea deal included staying out of contact with Thugger and other co-defendants until the end of the trial, completing 750 hours of community service, and sticking to a 10 PM to 6 AM curfew. Elsewhere in the news, a deputy affiliated with the YSL case was arrested earlier this month. She’s since had a $1M bond set, which you can read all about at the link below. Gunna Resurfaces With New Picture

A new photo of Gunna is circulating on social media, showcasing the rapper’s dramatic weight loss since accepting a plea deal in the infamous YSL RICO case. In the picture, he flashes a middle finger at the camera while standing shirtless next to a friend.

“This gotta be the most ‘Ayo’ picture he could of posted,” one fan commented when DJ Akademiks shared the photo. Another joked, “When you run outta friends you can hang with so you answer your fb messages.”

This isn’t the first time that fans have noticed Gunna’s newfound slim figure. When he posed for a group photo, earlier this month, he drew comparisons to Gucci, who lost a substantial amount of weight while in prison.

When Gunna first accepted his plea deal, he received tons of backlash online. Fans circulated rumors that he snitched on Young Thug and his YSL associates in doing so. He denied the accusations in a statement at the time. “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna told WSB-TV. “My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the Black community.”

Gunna’s Newest Picture

As for new music from the 29-year-old, he recently told fans to be on the lookout. “I’m OTW,” he wrote alongside his signature P emoji on Instagram. Young Thug also promoted music from Gunna in his Instagram bio, back in April. The move came despite rumors that the two are not happy with one another regarding Gunna’s plea deal.

Boosie Badazz Says Tory Lanez Should Have Taken A Plea Deal

Rapper Boosie Badazz claims that he would have taken a plea deal in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case if he were in Tory Lanez’s shoes. In December of 2022, Lanez was found guilty of the shooting. Lanez will be sentenced on June 13, facing a minimum sentence of nine years and a maximum of 22 years. In an interview posted yesterday on VladTV, the rapper also claims that Lanez could have gotten less time if he had taken a plea deal.

Boosie said, “If he would have went in there and said he wanted to make a deal, [with] them lawyers he got, he could have been doing time in a facility with damn-near nobody around him.” He continued, “I know a lot of people like that. They was offered 10 years and they didn’t take it. And they end up getting 30.” Going on to share his own experience, he also claims, “I seen it all the time. When I was in [prison] they come in there like, ‘I ain’t doing no 15, mane.’ They end up getting big time. I would have tried to get five years.”

Lanez Could Have Gotten Less Time

Last month, Lanez shared a video on Instagram of a phone call from himself in prison. In the clip, he claims DNA evidence found on the gun used to shoot Megan Thee Stallion should have exonerated him from the crime. The caption of the post reads, “@gasconforlada PLEASE put an end to this INJUSTICE….” It also continues, “Many BLACK AND HISPANIC MINORITIES are falling victim to these same OUTRAGEOUS and DISGUSTING TRICKS and TACTICS. Someone NEEDS to stand up for US! Everyone PLEASE PRAY that the Honourable Judge David Herriford returns me to FREEDOM and a FAIR trial.”

Earlier this month, Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez, also posted on his Instagram Story coming to the rapper’s defense. “Mistaken eyewitness identifications contributed to approximately 69% of the more than 375 wrongful convictions in the United States,” he says. The lawyer continues, claiming the cases were “overturned by post-conviction DNA evidence,” he wrote. The post came shortly after Lanez shared an open letter on Instagram claiming that he was wrongfully convicted. The post was captioned, “Until my court date I’ll be posting the OUTRAGEOUS & DISGUSTING INJUSTICES used against me by the PROSECUTION to get the conviction they so DESPERATELY wanted.” He went on to allege prosecution used these tactics against him, “DESPITE the evidence they knew existed.”

Trey Songz Takes Plea In Bowling Alley Fight Case

Last October, Trey Songz was reportedly involved in a fight at a New York City bowling alley. According to a report from TMZ, Songz attacked a female employee of a bowling alley. He reportedly punched her multiple times in a bathroom and allegedly dragged her by the hair. The woman claims she had to go to the hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries. A Virginia man also claimed to have been hit in the eye by Songz.

While Songz initially denied the allegations, he did eventually turn himself in to a New York City police station. However, he was not detained and was allowed to leave after being issued a ticket for assault. Songz was later formally charged with 10 offenses, including assault and aggravated harassment. At the time, Songz and his team maintained his innocence. “We have been proactively communicating with NY law enforcement, the DA, and all those involved. While we will respectfully and proactively work through all the appropriate channels we are confident that Trey will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing,” his attorney told TMZ. However, it appears Songz will not see a courtroom.

Songz Pleads Guilty To A Lesser Charge

Songz has reportedly pled guilty to the charge of disorderly conduct. In exchange, the 10 more severe charges will be dropped. This means that Songz will not face trial on the allegations of assault and harassment, amongst others. Furthermore, Songz must complete a 12-class anger management program before August. This is the only reported condition of his plea bargin. Sources told TMZ that Songz had already begun to take the classes.

Songz’ attorney, Mitchell Schuster, also gave a statement to TMZ following the court proceedings. “We appreciate the New York law enforcement and the District Attorney’s office for their comprehensive investigation and careful consideration of all evidence, which ultimately confirmed what we had known all along and resulted in the District Attorney’s office choosing not to pursue any of the original charges against our client. “With each and every one of the 10 original charges now dismissed by operation of law, Trey looks forward to putting this matter behind him.”

Young Thug Adds Gunna’s Music To His Instagram Bio

Young Thug’s Instagram page has many fans scratching their heads, as a link to Gunna’s DS4EVER is now in his bio. Of course, given that he currently waits in jail on RICO charges along with various other codefendants, this is an odd development. Not only that, but it’s even odder because his “Ski” collaborator took a plea deal and testified against YSL. If you’re looking for an explanation, the comments sections on coverage of this phenomenon is already rife with theories and assumptions. Whatever the case, there’s too little information to know the true intent of this move, or to identify what their relationship is like now.

“How else he finna pay for them lawyer fees,” one user suggested under DJ Akademiks’ post of the development. As such, many think that this is just promotion for DS4EVER so YSL can make more money while its members wait behind bars. “Gunna watching too many hacking documentaries sitting at the crib,” another fan theorized. Other possible interpretations are that this is Thugger’s PR team trying to make public amends. Maybe Young Thug himself sought to make their friendship clear without a statement, or deliver a very convoluted and strange diss.

Young Thug Promotes Gunna On Instagram

Regardless, our guess is as good as yours as to what could’ve prompted this move. Still, even if Thug came out with a statement defending Gunna, people would likely continue to trash him for his actions. For example, when a fan compiled all his anti-snitching bars, social media bashed him. In addition, other rappers apparently threw subliminals or unfollowed the “Drip Or Drown” MC, along with strong words from his (perhaps former) YSL cohorts.

Meanwhile, Thugger is currently looking for bond with the help of his attorney- for the fourth time in the past year. “Mr. Williams is not a risk to commit a crime and he’s not a risk to flee the jurisdiction and that’s what bond is about,” attorney Brian Steel told ABC News. Also, he added that he “previously put forth compelling evidence, without doubt, that conditions can be imposed which permit bond to be set.” This request for bond comes as concerns for his health due to fatigue and sleep depravation become more common on social media. Hopefully he can await jurisdiction in humane and healthy conditions. Regardless, the fact remains that, until someone offers an explanation, fans can’t wrap their head around that Instagram bio.
