Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s Apple Music Bio Mentions Anthony Fantano, Fans Think It’s A Hack

As if Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign didn’t face enough issues already with releasing their album Vultures on Apple Music, it seems like someone hacked their artist bio. Either that, or they wanted to make the best troll artist description they could come up with while taking shots at the Internet’s busiest music nerd. Moreover, on their artist page on the streaming platform under the moniker ¥$, their bio is a bizarre and most likely fake Q&A excerpt that goes over some curious claims, including references to music critic Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop. Hats off to whichever fan was cheeky enough to include this and do so successfully, or to Ye and Ty Dolla to taking very legitimate criticism of their work (particularly the former’s) with some sense of humor.

We’ll include the whole bio here in case it really is fake and Apple Music takes it down soon. Before that, this is notable because Anthony Fantano called Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s Vultures “unreviewable” for its quality and the antisemitic background behind it. That caused an absolute uproar online from Ye stans and melonheads alike. Whether you agree or not, it’s fair to say that things definitely went a little too far in folks’ responses to this.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Raise Eyebrows With Likely Hacked Apple Music Bio

“In the artist’s words:,” Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s bio begins. “‘Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.’ ¥$’s first music experience as a group was listening to our second single ‘Cool beat 1’ and working on the critically acclaimed song ‘Back to Me.’” Also, the bio asks the duo their three all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and it mentions The College Dropout, Vultures, and Featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Here’s the first Fantano reference, made when “answering” a question about their favorite song of theirs on the platform. “‘CARNIVAL’ is the most popular Ye Dolla song by far. As stated by the YouTube famous music reviewer Anthony Fantano stated, ‘This song is absolutely amazing and is a shining light in Ye and Ty’s respective catalogues.’” If the backlash didn’t spoil it, he never said this in the first place.

Meanwhile, here’s how the “bio” closes out. The bio “asks”: “‘What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?’” Their “response”: “For one, being the #1 collaboration album worldwide in more countries than ever know. Secondly, being the best selling and most successful independent album on streaming platforms, and third being the first album to be known Unreviewable by Midtano.” Yikes. Check out their Apple Music page to see if it’s still there. Otherwise, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign, and Anthony Fantano.

Young Thug Removes Gunna Album Link From IG Bio

Young Thug recently caused quite the stir with his Instagram account’s bio, which linked to Gunna’s most recent album DS4EVER. Moreover, fans wondered why this happened, given that the YSL protégé took a plea deal and testified against his cohorts, including Thugger, during their RICO arrest and trial. However, it looks like all those theories will stick to being only theories. The IG account recently removed the link from the bio entirely, with about as much explanation as its addition. Still, that could mean a million different things in the grander scheme.

Of course, Young Thug didn’t have to say a word for YSL affiliates and fans alike to start blasting Gunna for his actions. Even if people don’t know the whole story, video footage still led people to the conclusion that the 29-year-old is a snitch. Whether the link sought to reflect a strong relationship or just promote some music to make some money is unknown. After all, DS4EVER launched under the “Check” MC’s imprint to wide commercial success. It’s been a long time since that album, and a long time since he was released. While we don’t know if Thugger is behind these changes given his limited Internet access, it’s not crazy to think it could be damage control.

Young Thug Shouted Out DS4EVER

Whether it was just promo or a means to show their relationship’s endurance, not everyone wants Young Thug to cut Gunna off. At least, that’s what statements from some people in their camp indicate. They do have a point; this theorizing doesn’t help to speed the trial along, which faces delay after scandal after delay and so on. Gunna and his attorney Steve Shadow vehemently denied snitching allegations, and even Thug’s sister Dolly White had some words of defense.

“Can y’all please stop saying that people ratted, and people this-and-that?” she expressed in a video. “It’s not making anybody better, it’s not making nothing good, bro. Nothing that’s going on is… helping my brother. So can y’all please stop that? Can y’all please stop? If y’all love Gunna, then y’all give him support. Like, what the f**k y’all over there doing? Y’all tripping.” You can see the removal for yourself down below. Regardless of your take on it, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Young Thug and Gunna.

Young Thug Adds Gunna’s Music To His Instagram Bio

Young Thug’s Instagram page has many fans scratching their heads, as a link to Gunna’s DS4EVER is now in his bio. Of course, given that he currently waits in jail on RICO charges along with various other codefendants, this is an odd development. Not only that, but it’s even odder because his “Ski” collaborator took a plea deal and testified against YSL. If you’re looking for an explanation, the comments sections on coverage of this phenomenon is already rife with theories and assumptions. Whatever the case, there’s too little information to know the true intent of this move, or to identify what their relationship is like now.

“How else he finna pay for them lawyer fees,” one user suggested under DJ Akademiks’ post of the development. As such, many think that this is just promotion for DS4EVER so YSL can make more money while its members wait behind bars. “Gunna watching too many hacking documentaries sitting at the crib,” another fan theorized. Other possible interpretations are that this is Thugger’s PR team trying to make public amends. Maybe Young Thug himself sought to make their friendship clear without a statement, or deliver a very convoluted and strange diss.

Young Thug Promotes Gunna On Instagram

Regardless, our guess is as good as yours as to what could’ve prompted this move. Still, even if Thug came out with a statement defending Gunna, people would likely continue to trash him for his actions. For example, when a fan compiled all his anti-snitching bars, social media bashed him. In addition, other rappers apparently threw subliminals or unfollowed the “Drip Or Drown” MC, along with strong words from his (perhaps former) YSL cohorts.

Meanwhile, Thugger is currently looking for bond with the help of his attorney- for the fourth time in the past year. “Mr. Williams is not a risk to commit a crime and he’s not a risk to flee the jurisdiction and that’s what bond is about,” attorney Brian Steel told ABC News. Also, he added that he “previously put forth compelling evidence, without doubt, that conditions can be imposed which permit bond to be set.” This request for bond comes as concerns for his health due to fatigue and sleep depravation become more common on social media. Hopefully he can await jurisdiction in humane and healthy conditions. Regardless, the fact remains that, until someone offers an explanation, fans can’t wrap their head around that Instagram bio.
