Rolling Loud has been on a tear since its establishment about a decade ago, with the first festival going down in Miami in 2015. Since then, the event has expanded to include editions in California, New York, Australia, Portugal, Toronto, Rotterdam, Germany, and Thailand. Now, the empire continues to grow: Today (April 11), organizers announced Rolling Loud Europe.

The inaugural event is set to take place at Racino, an open-air venue in Ebreichsdorf, Austria, which is near Vienna. The fest runs from July 5 to 7 this year and will be headlined by Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, and Playboi Carti.

Beyond the headliners, the lineup also features Gunna, Ice Spice, Offset, Don Toliver, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Tjay, Sexyy Red, Chief Keef, K-Trap, Unknown T, Destroy Lonely, Flo Milli, BabyTron, TiaCorine, Anycia, Money Boy, Gola Gianni, Ufo 361, Shirin David, Pashanim, Reezy, Rondodasosa, and Fresh.

Tickets go on sale starting April 12 at noon CET. Find more information on the festival website.

Rolling Loud co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif say in a statement, “We couldn’t be more excited to return to Europe. We’ve been blown away by the passion of the fans at our European shows, and we know our first show in Austria is going to keep the energy going.”

Fans Think Latto Named Nicki Minaj As One Of The Top Three Women Rappers With Just One Simple Word

It seems like Latto may have had a change of heart about one of her rivals. Last week, the “Sunday Service” rapper sat down with radio personality Lore’l from her Atlanta hometown station Hot 107.9. During their conversation, Lore’l asked Latto about which women rappers she’d rank in the top three.

For her first two, she chose a couple of rap GOATs, however, she was rather cryptic about the third.

“[Lil] Kim, gotta say Kim,” Latto said in the clip. “… I’ma say [Lisa] Left Eye [Lopes], rest in peace Left Eye, and shawty.” It is unclear who Latto was referring to when she said “shawty,” but some fans believed she may have been talking about Nicki Minaj.

“Latto still give Nicki Minaj props by saying ‘Shawty’ this shows a grown woman because i don’t fck with you but i will still give you your props,” said one Barb on Twitter.

“Not Latto calling Nicki “Shawty” cuz who tf else,” said another fan.

Back in 2022, Latto and Minaj engaged in a heated Twitter row, after Minaj suggested that if her hit single “Super Freaky Girl” was to be put in the pop categories for the Grammys, then so should Latto’s “Big Energy.” The two have been thought to have traded shots back and forth through their music over the course of the past year.

But despite their past scuffles, it seems like Latto may have put their differences aside. Perhaps a collab may be in order for the future?

Nicki Minaj Makes Hip-Hop History With Her Pink Friday 2 Tour

Nicki Minaj just made history. She’s currently headlining the highest-grossing tour by a female rapper of all time, and she managed to do it in less than 20 shows. According to Touring Data, Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour grossed a record-setting $34.9 million within the first 17 performances. This achievement is a testament to the rapper’s catalog of hits and her ability to stay relevant a decade and a half after she arrived on the music scene.

Minaj’s longevity has been the subject of much discussion in recent years. Ja Rule praised the “Red Ruby da Sleaze” rapper during a 2023 episode of Stepping Into the Shade Room. “Minaj’s place in hip-hop is [solidified],” Ja asserted. “The female MCs they’re having a run like they’ve never had before, and to me, in my opinion, I would say Nicki re-opened that door.” Ja hasn’t been alone in this sentiment. Minaj, who dropped her debut album back in 2010, has also received props from Da Brat and GloRilla. “Staying in the game, staying strong,” the latter said during an appearance on The Heat. “I’m trying to be consistent like that.”

Minaj Has The Highest-Grossing Tour By A Female Rapper

Minaj not only claimed the highest-grossing tour by a female rapper, but the highest-grossing concert as well. Touring Data reports that the rapper’s Madison Square Garden show on March 30, 2024, grossed a whopping $2.858 million. The success of the tour should come as no surprise to hip-hop fans, as Minaj’s recent album also set records. Pink Friday 2 netted the largest first week vinyl sales by a female rapper in history, in addition to securing Minaj’s third number-one album. Pink Friday 2 also scored Minaj’s first #1 single as a solo artist, “Super Freaky Girl.” From a records standpoint, it’s a good time to be a Barb.

The numbers are also a nice return to form after Minaj’s messy exchange with Megan Thee Stallion. The two rapper traded diss tracks early on, but Minaj’s “Bigfoot” was widely panned by fans and critics alike. Megan’s diss, on the other hand, “Hiss”, received critical acclaim and topped the Billboard Hot 100. The two will likely continue to beef with one another into the future, but it’s evident from Minaj’s historic achievements that she doesn’t need to engage with other rappers to solidify her legacy.

Dreamville Festival 2024: J. Cole’s Cultural Phenomenon Lights Up Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park with Two Days

JCole004

Raleigh’s Dreamville Festival, conceptualized by North Carolina and Dreamville’s own, J. Cole, returned to the scenic Dorothea Dix Park this past weekend, unfolding two days of live music that was both a celebration of music and a testament to the cultural impact of hip-hop. With the festival drawing in massive crowds from across the state and country, its contribution to North Carolina’s economy was palpable, echoing the effect of over 1,300 full-time jobs with its $145 million impact thanks to the sold out festival.

Saturday set the stage with an eclectic mix of artists, starting with the dynamic rising star Sexyy Red, whose afternoon performance was a vibrant kickoff to the festival. The energy continued to build with names like R&B veteran, Jeremih, and the always energetic and entertaining, Lil Yachty, who set the tone with their melodic hooks and charismatic performances. Schoolboy Q and J.I.D then took the reins later in the evening, delivering hard-hitting verses that resonated with the hip-hop purists in the crowd.

The evening reached a high with 50 Cent, who, stepping in for Chris Brown, proved why he remains a titan in the industry. His set was a relentless journey through his catalog of hits, captivating the audience with his gritty narratives, infectious beats and a surprise appears by North Carolina’s own, DaBaby. Having just wrapped up his farewell tour months ago, his substitute performance was a treat, especially since it could be one of his final performances.

Changing the mood, R&B superstar SZA followed, crafting a different kind of magic with her ethereal vocals and introspective lyrics. Her performance was a soothing counterbalance to the high-energy acts of the night, leaving the audience spellbound and putting the cherry on top of an already epic Day 1 of the festival.

Sunday’s performances were equally compelling, with each artist bringing their unique flair to the festival. Rae Sremmurd, Jeezy, and Key Glock energized the crowd with their high energy sets, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated performances of the night by Nicki Minaj. Albeit an hour late, the queen of rap made up for the lengthy delay by dominating the stage with her unparalleled flow, charisma, and a repertoire of tracks that had the crowd hanging on every word. Her performance was not just a display of her musical prowess but a reminder of her indelible influence on the genre.

As expected, the climax of the festival was J. Cole’s headlining set on Sunday night, an event that was much more than a musical performance; it was a cultural moment that Cole delivers annually for the festival crowd. Fresh off the release of his latest surprise album “Might Delete

Later,” which had already become a streaming sensation, Cole’s set was charged with anticipation, kicking things off with the live debut of “Crocodile Tearz” in front of a backdrop setting of Fayetteville, Cole’s hometown which sits just an hour south of the Dreamville festival grounds. His performance included some selects from the new album, but of course was full of his classics like “No Role Modelz”, “Power Trip”, “Middle Child” and many more. Cole’s set as a whole, was not just a collection of performances but statements, underscoring his place in the ongoing narrative of hip-hop and its evolving landscape.

But what would a headlining Dreamville performance be without some surprise guests? Cole had collaborators from all over the globe join him for his performance, including Jeremih, Lil Yatchy, Central Cee, Benny The Butcher, Lil Durk and more. The guests not only performed their tracks with Cole, but also some of their biggest hits as an added bonus for the crowd.

One highlight came as Cole addressed the crowd about the release of his newest project, specifically in its track “7 Minute Drill”. With everyone wondering what shots J. Cole would return to Kendrick Lamar, Cole instead apologized to K. Dot. “I’m so proud of (“Might Delete Later”), except for one part,” said J. Cole. “It’s one part of that shit that makes me feel like, man that’s the lamest shit I did in my fuckin’ life, right?” Cole went on to express his love for Lamar and called his jab on “7 Minute Drill” corny. While the internet was loving the rap beef between the two hip-hop heavyweights, it’s good to see there is no love lost from Cole to Kendrick, making his headlining performance one that Dreamville fans won’t forget.

Dreamville Festival’s success was not solely due to the impressive lineup but also the seamless experience it offered. With two stages and a schedule designed to minimize conflicts, attendees were able to fully immerse themselves in the music. The festival also catered to the palate with a wide selection of foods and engaged the visual senses with installations from local artists, enriching the overall experience and a staple for a music festival to survive year after year in such an oversaturated space.

This year’s festival was a convergence of past, present, and future, a place where legends stood shoulder to shoulder with emerging stars, and where music was the universal language. As the festival grounds return to calm, the echoes of Dreamville resonate, leaving an imprint on fans who are already counting down the days until the festival returns for another early kickoff to the summer.

Megan Thee Stallion Cracks Herself Up With Jokes About Nicki Minaj’s “Big Foot” Diss Track

With Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar’s beef taking up headlines right now it’s worth remembering it’s already been a busy year for rap beef. One of the biggest stories of January was two of the biggest female MCs around taking shots at each other. Megan Thee Stallion got it started with her explosive single “HISS.” The track took aim at all of her haters and doubters, with one particularly cutting diss aimed at Nicki Minaj and her husband.

Unsurprisingly Nicki didn’t take the heat sitting down. It wasn’t long before she returned with “Big Foot” a response track that focused on Megan alone. Unfortunately, it was widely rejected online for lacking clever lines and insight. She was also accused of perpetuating multiple outright lies in the lyrics of the song. Parts of the song even became jokes at Nicki’s own expense. That’s exactly what happened in a new video of Megan on Instagram Live. She appears to be making fun of one particular whispered line from “Big Foot.” She really cracks herself up with the joke laughing so hard she has to stop eating. Check out the video below.

Megan Thee Stallion Jokes About “Big Foot”

Over the weekend Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla dropped their new collaboration “Wanna Be.” The song arrived on the back of quite a bit of hype after they teased a snippet featuring the song’s sample of Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag.” The song also arrived with a hilarious music video where the pair throw their own attention-grabbing version of a frat party. The track has already racked up 2.5 million streams on Spotify in just a few days.

The track landed on GloRilla’s new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang which also dropped over and weekend and contains her hit single “Yeah Glo!” What do you think of Megan cracking jokes about lyrics from “Big Foot” while on Instagram Live? Do you think Megan Thee Stallion firmly won her beef with Nicki Minaj? Let us know in the comment section below.

Nicki Minaj Goes Live With Husband Kenneth Petty To Wish Him A Happy Birthday

Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty cozied up at what seems like a New York pizza place to celebrate the latter’s birthday, which they showcased during her most recent Instagram Live session. Moreover, the two didn’t do much but stare into the camera and make some short comments here and there with each other in their arms. Of course, given Petty’s criminal history, many fans took to strong debate in the comments of the post below around how wholesome, awkward, happy, forced, or [insert reactionary adjective here] it was or wasn’t. Despite all the controversy, the Trinidadian MC’s yet to waver in her staunch support of, and constant online love for, her man.

Furthermore, more often than not, Kenneth Petty is by Nicki Minaj’s side during her many travels and escapades, including her current tour for Pink Friday 2, Instagram, etc. Most recently, they went to a New York Knicks game at which she gushed over meeting Ben Stiller there, sharing a clip of them together on the aforementioned social media platform. They also have Papa Bear, whose wholesome interactions and videos on the 41-year-old’s socials have captured fans’ hearts for years now. But as long as this keeps up with no change, and there’s no accountability or acknowledgement of aggression in how they’ve handled his legal reckoning, a sub-sect of fans will always be there to call them out.

Nicki Minaj Wishes Husband Kenneth Petty A Happy Birthday: See Comments For Reactions

Elsewhere, though, Nicki Minaj is having too good of a time these days to have to worry about this aspect as much as she did when the Megan Thee Stallion beef explosively kicked off earlier this year. Along with the PF2 tour, it seems like she has some cool releases slated for 2024, including a possible “FTCU” remix with Sexyy Red. There are no plans for the Barbz to slow down this year, and it’s at least nice to see that the Young Money alum has the time to spend time with her husband. After all, dealing with these criticisms and accusations is enough on one’s plate without being a superstar.

Meanwhile, we can’t help but wonder if she will address another one of her big headline topics: her supposed Cardi B beef, which GloRilla said they should call a truce over on her latest mixtape. Maybe this will prompt some reevaluation on the hip-hop world’s behalf. But considering all of the beefs and feuds going on right now… all bets are off. Months after Nicki Minaj and Sexyy Red collaborated on the latter’s “Pound Town 2” song, Minaj hopped onto social media today with the hopes of getting back in the studio for the remix of “FTCU.”

“You got your verse for #FTCU?” Minaj tweeted. “Finna drop the remix @SexyyRed314_ Left #PoundTown to go #FTCU a remix for a remix.” Sexyy Red then responded a few hours later: “Song + Video.”

Here’s what to know about when fans can expect it to come out.

When Will Nicki Minaj & Sexyy Red’s ‘FTCU’ Remix Come Out?

Right now, there is not a clear release date for Nicki Minaj’s remix of “FTCU” with Sexyy Red. Now that Minaj and Sexyy Red are on the same page about doing a song and a music video together, it shouldn’t be too long until fans will be able to hear it.

“Miss lady, bring the kids & the stroller that’s all I got to offer right now. a play date,” Nicki shared. “Let somebody film us b*$h sexy know DANG well we on tour in #gagcity Barbz. send me that verse right away pls ma’am. It’s a superstar (or 2) on there as well. GET IT SEXY!!!!!!”

GloRilla Dreams of Cardi B and Nicki Minaj Coming Together on New Song "Aite"

GloRilla may be the woman to unite the ladies of Hip-Hop. Speaking on “Aite” from her Ehhthang Ehhthang album, GloRilla dreams of a day where Nicki Minaj and Cardi B could collaborate.

“I just pray one day the bad bitches would come together
‘Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some fuckin’ records”

GloRilla Calls For Nicki Minaj And Cardi B To End Their Beef On Her New Mixtape

Overnight, GloRilla released her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang. She’s been teasing the project for a few months now and the lead single “Yeah Glo!” has been a big success. Alongside the release of the record she also released her next single, the similarly hyped up collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion “Wanna Be.” While that track is justifiably getting a lot of the discussion surrounding the record, fans have also found a particularly notable moment on the song “Aite.”

Lyrically, GloRilla speaks on the years-long supposed beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. But the only reason she brings it up is that she’s ready for them to bury the hatchet. “I just pray one day the bad b*tches would come together. Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f*cking records,” she says on “Aite.” In the comments of a post about the lyric, fans came to her defense. “I respect her for saying names because all the other girls be throwing shade” and “She said a word ! Nicki & Cardi would’ve had the most accolades together” two of the top comments on the post read. Check out the full lyric from her new song below.

GloRilla Wants Female Rappers To Stop Beefing

Earlier this week, GloRilla appeared on the newest episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. While there she was once again asked about Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard. She confessed her interest in the NBA star during this year’s All-Star Weekend festivities. But as she’s often done ever since she found a way to subtly avoid sharing any real details when asked.

What she was much more willing to talk about was the cosign LeBron James gave to her new hit “Yeah Glo!” What do you think of GloRilla mentioning Nicki and Cardi B in one of her new songs? Do you agree with her that the pair need to put their beef in the past? Let us know in the comment section below.

GloRilla Calls For Cardi B And Nicki Minaj To End Their Beef And Unite For The Good Of Music On ‘Aite’

Here’s an exercise: Hop on social media and look for a post about Cardi B or Nicki Minaj. Go to the comments of the post, and the odds are that you will see a comment disparaging one or both of the two rappers. Cardi and Minaj’s beef, and that between their fans, is one of the strongest in music, but GloRilla wishes it wasn’t so.

On “Aite,” from her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, GloRilla envisions a world where the two would put their differences aside and make a banger together. On the song’s second verse, Glo raps, “I just pray one day the bad b*tches would come together / ‘Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f*ckin’ records.” Later in the verse, she raps, “They treat this sh*t like competition, I see it as art / Sh*t’ll be platinum in the hood but it won’t see the charts” (“they” referring to people in general, not Cardi and Nicki specifically).

Speaking of big-time collaborations, Ehhthang Ehhthang sees GloRilla work with Megan Thee Stallion on “Wanna Be.”
