He burst onto the rap scene in 2019 with a few singles and an eventual project to follow with WAR. After that, things started to pick up for the then-18-year-old rapper out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. His song “Knock Knock,” began to turn a lot of heads. It is currently his most popular song, with over 240 million streams on Spotify.

Now, he is a signee to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack record label and is gaining more momentum as a student of his. He just dropped a new single to Soundcloud the other day called “Everytime.” Unfortunately, it has not hit regular DSPs yet, and so has this latest cut. Over the past couple of weeks, she shared some more boisterous bangers that could rival her biggest hit so far, “SkeeYee.”

One of the two most recent singles is “Shake Yo Dreads.” People are already making TikTok’s and Instagram reels with the song and they are gaining traction. Then, just a few days later, she uploaded a track to be featured on the mixtape for Rap Sh!t S2. The HBO Max show is grabbing big rappers for this tape and Sexyy Red made the cut in a big with “No Panties.” It is a raunchy song that needs no explanation.

The performer shared a screenshot of various recordings on his phone, revealing that he managed to squeeze 10 recordings in during one session. “10 in 1 night,” he wrote. “Catching a tempo…”

The revelation has left social media users split. Some fans are looking forward to the rapper’s new music, while others urge him to focus on quality over quantity. The performer previewed one of his new tracks on Instagram Live back in July, but as the snippet played, around half of his viewers left the stream. Though things may be looking up for Roddy Ricch in terms of his musical career, things in his personal life have gotten rough recent months. The mother of the rapper’s three-year-old, Alexandra Kiser, filed for full custody of the child earlier this year. Her petition cited some concerning alleged behavior from the 24-year-old. She accused him of being addicted to lean, being affiliated with a gang, and more. “Since his birth, I alone, spend 98% of the time with him while Rodrick lives his life without any regard to his parental obligation or responsibility to spend time with Kadence,” her petition states.

Kiser further alleged that Roddy Ricch “prioritizes being high over being a father to their child.” She is seeking over $20K per month in child support payments. Just a few hours ago, singer Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman, announced an album, a new single, and an upcoming tour. This has lots of their fans excited, especially after a couple of years of meticulous planning. We covered the singer-producer duo’s latest track, “Waiting For You” with Naomi Sharon, just a short time ago. That song was a stunning ballad and all three artists sounded beautifully together.

Now, Jordan is upping the ante with this brand-new single, “Hands Tied.” This is a solo cut and is over five minutes long. Jay Rock Is Taking Control Of His Life On New “Ambition (Freestyle)”

One of the first members of TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment), Jay Rock, has remained fairly dormant over the past five years or so. The last full-length offering we heard from him was his 2018 record, Redemption. You had solid tracks on there. From “The Bloodiest,” “OSOM” with J. Cole, to “Wow Freestyle” with Kendrick Lamar, there was plenty of quality to be heard. Since then, though, Rock has put on some loose collaborations and singles. However, we did hear some rumblings that the West Coast artist would be dropping a new project soon.

We do not know any dates yet, but the album is expected to be called Eastside Johnny. Rock might have given us two lead singles from this LP earlier this year. The fun hit “Too Fast (Pull Over)” with Latto and Anderson .Paak, with production from Mustard, was released in July. Then, before that, was “Eastside” with Kal Banx. Now, we could possibly be hearing the third track with “Ambition (Freestyle).”

The song is only about a minute and a half long but Rock makes the most of the short runtime. He spits very aggressively and with urgency. Jay wants to make it clear that he is on his own path to success and he is going to do whatever it takes. “No myth, no fable, witness the rise of a beast / Gotta live it up, you only get one / Nothing’s impossible, I’m grinding ’til the mission is done.” Hopefully, that mission is dropping his new album, because it is sounding great so far.

Childish Gambino Won’t Be Retiring Any Time Soon

It looks like Childish Gambino will release new music in the near future. Donald Glover has been quite busy in recent times with a number of projects in film and television. He finally closed out Atlanta last year following four seasons and launched Swarm, a new limited series that debuted on Amazon Prime. In the midst of it all, fans have wondered whether they’d be getting new music from Childish Gambino.

Fortunately, Glover confirmed the news in a new interview with Complex. Without giving too much away, he denied that he’d be retiring his alter-ego any time soon and plotted on the release of new music in the near future. “I feel like it’ll be clear sooner rather than later,” he said about the release of new music. “It’d be better for people to just tune in, I suppose. But I’m trying harder to not be cryptic. Tyler [The Creator] is always, like, ‘You’re so cryptic.’ But I’m like, ‘I’m really not.’ I just like suspense, I guess. I think it makes stuff better. But that’s just me.”

Childish Gambino Walks Back On Retirement Plans

In 2017, Donald Glover hinted that he’d be releasing a final album under the Childish Gambino moniker. However, after the release of 3.15.20, he confirmed that wasn’t the case yet. Fortunately, he made it clear to Complex that he’d continue to make music while citing a famous clip of Cam’ron. “[Cam’ron] says, ‘Man, I do this because I’m nice. I don’t need the money. I do this because I’m nice, man,’” Glover recalled.

“And I’m like, yeah, I do this because I’m nice,” he continued. “I don’t think I’d ever stop, because of like… I always liked it because I liked it. I never did it because it was like, man, this is a good way to get put on or something. I like the feeling of it. I do this because I’m nice. ASAP Rocky Declares That “DON’T BE DUMB” Will Be His Best Album Yet

ASAP Rocky is one of the few artists who continues to hold back from making a comeback. A few other artists who have not dropped in over five years include his significant other, Rihanna, and Frank Ocean, among others. Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar were both in that same boat too. TESTING was the name of the project and its title definitely lived up to the name. Rocky experimented a ton sonically, having split fans’ and critics’ opinions in half. After that things slowed down a bit for him, but he has been picking up productivity. He talked about the project and had this to say. “I’ve been really experimenting as usual and what I like about this is it feels like my best work yet.” He further teases fans, saying, “I want to leave expectations wide and open. I don’t want to tell you what to expect. I just want people to experience it how they do naturally.” Well, he is certainly doing a great job of that. But, we could be getting a further development of what TESTING was all about.
