A hot Sexyy summer is upon us. Everyone and their mom is dancing to Sexyy Red‘s hit single, “Get It Sexyy.” Though the St. Louis rapper rapper had a remarkable breakthrough with her viral hits “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee” last year, “Get It Sexyy” has catapulted her into superstar status. Tonight (May 28), Sexyy made an appearance on WWE NXT.

As Sexyy was introduced, she twerked her way into the ring, as “Get It Sexyy” played in the background. Her grand entrance was met with cheers from the audience.

Shortly after, Sexyy unveiled the championship belt, which she carried gracefully above her head.

Elsewhere during the show, Sexyy paid a visit to some of the wrestlers as they were getting prepared in the locker room. Once again, she greeted the wrestlers with some top-notch twerking.

Earlier today, Sexyy celebrated another big milestone. “Get It Sexyy” has sold over one million units in the US, marking her fastest song to reach this milestone. She also just released her latest mixtape In Sexyy We Trust, which features another viral track, the Drake-assisted “U My Everything.”

Needless to say, Sexyy is having a hell of a ride.

Kendrick Lamar Jokes About His Viral Photoshoot With Chanel

Kendrick Lamar’s music is serious. He’s created some of the most sobering and grim hip-hop music in recent memory. It’s the reason he’s considered the scariest rapper on the planet. It’s also the reason he’s the only rapper with a Pulitzer Prize. The thing is, Lamar has a more of a sense of humor than his albums suggest. To Pump a Butterfly and DAMN. are not laugh-a-minute releases, but the rapper’s videos and his occasional public appearances prove that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. Case in point: his brand new Chanel photoshoot.

Kendrick Lamar is still basking in the glow of having beat Drake in a rap battle. He’s also coming off his second solo number one, “Not Like Us.” A photoshoot with one of the most prestigious fashion brands in the world was not expected, but it makes sense given his currently elevated profile. The photos dropped on May 28, and while the images were generally well-received, the rapper’s close friends couldn’t resist poking fun. Punch, Dot’s former executive producer at TDE, texted the rapper and asked him “What you doing dawg” with a laughing emoji. Lamar didn’t miss a beat. He sent back crying emojis before writing: “I think I’m cute on there man. Couldn’t resist.”

Kendrick Lamar Claimed He Looked “Cute” In His Shoot

Punch doubled down on the jokes. He clowned Lamar for the contemplative look he has during the photoshoot. “What are you doing with them dreamy eyes n**ga?” he asked. Lamar, once again, found the humor in what was seemingly a very serious and artsy shoot. “I’m crying dawg,” he added. Punch then asked the “Euphoria” rapper if he could post their text conversation on social media for fans. We don’t see the response in the screenshot, but based on the fact that we’re seeing the screenshot, it’s safe to assume that he gave approval.

Kendrick Lamar has been quiet since the release of his last Drake diss. There were rumors that the rapper was gearing up to release an album in May, but the month came and went without a formal announcement. Dot generally takes a long time between albums. This is what made the rollout of multiple diss songs in the span of a couple weeks such a shock to the music world. All we can do is hope that the rapper decides to keep the momentum going and bless fans with a release sooner rather than later.

TI Thinks Young Thug Is Going To Be Proven Innocent In YSL Trial

TI and Young Thug have always been close. They were never on the same label, but the former gave Thug a co-sign when he was starting out, and he hasn’t forgotten it. During a 2023 appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, T.I. claimed that Thug showed more gratitude towards him than artists who had actually signed to his Grand Hustle label. The King of the South has shown love in return, and supported Thug during his ongoing YSL trial. He’s also confident that Thug will be a free man soon.

TI recently went on The Breakfast Club, and one of the first topics he discussed with the YSL trial. He told Charlamagne tha God that he’d been in touch with Young Thug, and both men felt good about the chances of Thug being cleared of his RICO charges. “He comin’ home,” TI asserted. “I don’t think that the prosecution has successfully proven a case of him knowingly and willingly participating in an active street gang. I just don’t see it.” The “No Mediocre” rapper claimed that the witnesses that have been called to testify against Young Thug have not been as convincing as the prosecution had hoped for.

TI Plans To Help Young Thug Rebuild His Career

“I don’t think that the witnesses they’ve called thus far have proven what they said they would prove,” he noted. “I just don’t think that the grounds of their case have been presented properly. Just ain’t seen it.” Co-host DJ Envy interjected to lament the fact that the YSL case has disrupted Thug’s otherwise huge music career. He also voiced concern over whether Young Thug would be able to regain the momentum he had once he’s freed. TI assured him that he would see to it himself that the rapper would get back on top. “Don’t worry,” he told Envy. “When he come home, we’ll get it right. Just get him here… He’ll be just fine.”

TI knows how to rebuild a career after a legal battle. The rapper spent most of 2007 and 2008 in court over two weapons-related felonies. He eventually pled guilty and served a seven month prison stint the following year. TI returned with the album No Mercy in 2010, which was certified Gold and had features from the likes of Eminem, Drake, and Kanye West. Three years later, TIP was back on top of the charts with the number one single “Blurred Lines” opposite Pharrell and Robin Thicke. Young Thug could not have a better mentor waiting on him.

Andre 3000 Plays Carinet At Atlanta Jazz Festival And Fans Are Perplexed

Andre 3000 has delighted fans for decades. As one of hip-hop’s true eccentrics, Three Stacks is one of the rare artists who’s boundary-pushing has been met with critical acclaim and commercial success. He knows how to make experimentalism sound good. His latest endeavor, however, has really put this ability to the test. Andre recently performed a set at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, and instead of rapping or singing, he continued his woodwind odyssey and performed a clarinet solo. Fans were… unsure of how to react.

Andre 3000 performed at the festival on May 27, which also happened to be his 49th birthday. The Outkast star was backed by the same musical ensemble he worked with on his solo album, New Blue Moon. There was some light banter with the crowd, but for the most part, Stacks was focused on his clarinet playing. Outlets have posted video footage of the rapper’s performance and claimed he was playing a flute, but it is, in fact, the same instrument Squidward plays on Spongebob Squarepants.

The footage of the performance is a little awkward. People in the audience seem unsure of how to react to Andre 3000’s playing. Several of them are looking around, and the silence amidst the rapper’s clarinet solo furthers the awkwardness. To be fair, Andre 3K has been on the windwood wave for a while now. He prefaced his performance by explaining that he doesn’t have a musical roadmap in mind, and will simply go wherever his playing will take him. “Everything we’re doing — the same way that New Blue Sun was made with me and my brothers,” he explained. “We’re completely making everything up as we go along. We never know what the night is gonna sound like.”

Andre 3000 knows that fans want him to rap again, but he told Bitter Southerner that he simply doesn’t have it in him anymore. He’s more fascinated with improvisational, instrumental music, and he feels as though he needs to follow his muse. “The thing is, I can only give what I’m feeling,” he explained to the outlet. “If there’s not any discovery, it doesn’t feel real to me. I’ve never considered myself the best producer or the best singer or the best rapper or any of those separate categories. But one thing I do have confidence in is my feeling.” How can you knock that?

PinkPantheress Delivers A Hot Take On Song Length

PinkPantheress has made a career off of writing very short songs. Her DIY homespun sound comes hand-in-hand with shorter length tracks. That’s why its no surprise some of her tracks with sugary sweet hooks have become hits propelled by social media platforms like TikTok. Despite her increased commercial success, which peaked with the Ice Spice suported remix of “Boys a liar,” some online have criticized her artistic approach. Her songs being too short has become a common motif of those criticizing her music.

Unsurprisingly though. it’s a critique PinkPantheress herself doesn’t agree with. In a recent interview with ABC, she made her case for shorter song lengths. She first claimed that tracks didn’t need to be any longer than two minutes and thirty seconds. She justified that length by explaining that her songs don’t include bridges or unnecessarily long outros which keeps them so short. The comments sparked plenty of debate among fans online. They discussed whether or not there’s an ideal length for all songs and what that length might be. Check out the interview that sparked the debate below.

It also makes use of a sample of Selena’s “Dreaming Of You,” something fans first took notice of when the track was teased with a snippet on TikTok.

Earlier this year PinkPantheress was photographed hanging out with Ice Spice and breakout R&B star Tyla. Fans immediately called for the three young stars to collaborate on some music together, with some even billing them as a potential smash girl group. What do you think of PinkPantheress’ take that songs don’t need to be any longer than two minutes and thirty seconds? Do you think there’s an ideal length for all or most songs? Erica Banks’ Fans Claim She Went Too Far With Her BBL

Erica Banks has been making waves recently for a variety of reasons. The biggest is her challenge to Megan Thee Stallion. She was asked during an interview if she thought she could go freestyle for freestyle with Meg and confidently confirmed that she’s the superior MC. Fans were a little skeptical of her confidence at first and even more so after an old tweet of hers from 2018 was dug in. In the tweet she compares herself to Megan directly as a flex. Many fans think that old tweet undercut much of what she was trying to do by claiming she can take Meg in a freestyle battle.

Now Erica Banks is making waves for an entirely different reason. A new clip of her walking on stage for a performance has fans thinking she may have taken her BBL to far. To be fair, many have confessed their love for her physique in the past, but that appears to be shifting. “What happened????? Just two weeks ago it looked good” one of the top comments replied to the video. “She fuqed it up! 🤦🏽‍♂️ it looked so good at first! why tf did she go back and get a second round… smh!” another top comment agreed. Check out the video everyone is reacting to below.
