Jam Master Jay’s Sons Shoot Down Drug Trafficking Narrative Around Father’s Murder

Jam Master Jay’s sons, Maurice and TJ Mizell, are tired of hearing the narrative that their father’s death was the result of his involvement in drug trafficking. They do, however, admit money was likely involved. Appearing on Tuesday night’s episode of CBS News‘ After The Verdict, the two discussed the guilty verdict for Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington in the murder trial.

“We strongly believe that [the narrative he was selling cocaine] is false,” the pair said, according to HipHopDX. “We believe that obviously there was money involved and whether that was his money or not, it’s not like he was selling drugs. Jam Master Jay was also known for buying cars for everyone on the block on Christmas. When Christmas came around, three people were getting a Toyota, y’know? And we have a big family and we never longed for anything.”

An investigation into the late producer’s death revealed that Jordan and Washington murdered Jay after he cut them out of a deal to move cocaine. “More than two decades after they killed Jason Mizell in his recording studio, Jordan and Washington have finally been held accountable for their cold-blooded crime driven by greed and revenge,” United States Attorney Breon Peace said in a statement provided by the Eastern District of New York. “That the victim, professionally known as Jam Master Jay, was a Hip Hop icon and Run-DMC’s music was born in Hollis, Queens, in this very district, and beloved by so many, adds to the tragedy of a life senselessly cut short.” Check out his son’s comments on his death below.

NoCap Music Video Turns Murder Case Upside Down After Being Wrongly Used In Trial

Court cases and trials can be messy. We have seen it unfold with Young Thug for example over the last several months. NoCap, while not a defendant in this case, is still being tied up in a murder that went down in Georgia in 2019. But, the state’s Supreme Court has just announced that a music video used as evidence for the murder conviction of Morgan Baker has been wrongfully used. According to reports from AllHipHop and 41-WMGT, NoCap’s music video for “Ghetto Angels” was a major part in the argument to find Baker guilty of the murder of Tamarco Head in Georiga in 2019. However, after further analysis the gun used in the visuals had no connection to the fatal shooting that took place.

In the documents obtained from AllHipHop, the Supreme Court had to this to say in their statement. “The rap music video was highly prejudicial. It allowed the State to introduce impermissible propensity evidence by portraying Baker as a threatening gunman, and the prosecutor severely exacerbated the video’s prejudicial impact by emphasizing that it showed Baker’s predisposition to gun violence.” They also went on to say that the prosecutor played it on three separate occasions, while questioning three witness and focusing in on the fact the video advocated for gun violence.

Morgan Baker’s Conviction Is Now Overturned

Furthermore, the Supreme court said, “[She] emphasized during her closing argument that Baker and other rap artists ‘promote[d]’ gun violence, because ‘[t]hat’s all they know,’ a pointed argument that reinforced to the jury Baker’s alleged violent character.” Additionally, the prosecutors were not able to provide any concrete evidence that Baker was carrying a gun. There is certainly more to come on this story, so stick around with us for more updates.

Man Arrested For Alleged Involvement In Blac Youngsta’s Brother’s Murder

Blac Youngsta’s brother Tomanuel Benson was tragically shot and killed in August of last year, a case that saw little development in its immediate aftermath. However, that recently changed as authorities arrested a 28-year-old man in Memphis for his alleged involvement in the shooting. For those unaware, the rapper’s brother passed away after a shooting at a Memphis gas station. An investigation into the incident resulted in police naming Randy Darnell Ewing Jr. as a suspect, and warrants for his arrest emerged shortly after. This is the most recent development following a months-long manhunt that hadn’t resulted in any concrete news up until this point.

Furthermore, Ewing Jr. received charges of second-degree murder, criminally attempted second-degree murder, violations of the sex offender registry law, and other firearm offense-related charges. U.S. Marshals worked with Memphis PD and Shelby County’s Sheriff’s Office to capture Blac Youngsta’s brother’s alleged killer after a short chase on Tuesday night (February 13), according to AllHipHop. They found Ewing Jr. while armed and treated him for his injuries sustained during the chase before transferring him to Shelby County Jail. Detectives and other authorities remain tight-lipped when it comes to possible motives.

I Swear To God Nobody Safe. Standing Over Everybody. Everybody #4LIFE. Gone Make Sure They Feel Me I Promise. Life Will Never Me The Same But God Got Me. I’m The Strongest Man N The World.”

Still, the rapper has also done a lot in his career as of late to make sure he is tributing Tomanuel Benson in every facet of his life. For example, he seemed to dedicate one of his most recent projects, Blac Sheep 2, to his late brother, preserving their bond and this shock in his life in musical form. Suge Knight On Tupac & Keefe D: “‘Pac Finally Gettin’ Justice” Despite Defending Keefe

On the most recent episode of Collect Call, Suge Knight’s podcast from prison, he made the claim that Tupac Shakur is finally getting “justice” for his murder. However, he had some explaining to do considering the true nature of “justice” and his previous statements. For those unaware, the Death Row Records boss had previously defended ‘Pac’s accused murderer Keefe D, who’s currently incarcerated amid investigation, charges, and reopened accusations. In this new episode, which dropped on Thursday (December 21), Suge alluded to being able to speak on this matter more. It’s unclear what this will pose for the court case itself, but it’s still quite interesting to see these pieces move on the chessboard.

“It’s been a long time since I was able to talk freely about ‘Pac because we were so close,” Suge Knight expressed.. “And the thing is, ‘Pac finally getting justice. And justice for Pac is this: not so much of somebody getting punished, or going to prison. It’s the fact that if you was around ‘Pac, and you had your hands into trying to destroy him, and we got the receipts, it’s a problem.

Suge Knight Teases New Collect Call Episode: Listen

“I said this from day one, when we first started talking about it,” Suge Knight continued. “Jealousy is worse than hate. When your name start ringing, people get jealous of you. You know, if a person hates you, they can be across the street, and they can see you. They can see you, you know? ‘I hate that motherf***er. I hate him or her. F**k them.’ And that’s that, right? How jealousy destroy? A jealous person, you’re on their mind every time they’re awake, every time they think of you in their head. So they want to destroy you, get rid of you.”

Meanwhile, it’s unclear what picture Suge wants to paint with these statements. Apparently, he’s looking forward to seeing how other folks reportedly involved in the West Coast legend’s downfall will finally get what they deserve for their actions. Next year, surely we’ll see some wild clarifications about this whole situation. On that note, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Suge Knight, Tupac, and Keefe D.

FBG Duck Murder Case Informant Trenches News Dodges Questions In Resurfaced Interview

At the end of last month, it was reported that an FBI agent told a group of jurors that a paid informant was assisting with FBG Duck’s murder case. The informant was revealed to be Martell Wiley, otherwise known as Trenches News. He testified as a key witness in the federal trial earlier this week, claiming that he had been cooperating with authorities since 2006.

Now, social media users have dug up a No Jumper interview with the YouTuber from October, in which he’s asked about rumors that he was an informant. Armed with new confirmation that he was actually cooperating, fans are reexamining the interview, noting how it seems to make a lot of sense. In the interview, he dances around all of Adam22’s questions about the case, never outright denying being an informant.

Martell Wiley AKA Trenches News Speaks On FBG Duck’s Murder Case

Reportedly, after FBG Duck’s 2020 death, Wiley contacted the Chicago Police Department and offered to help them with the case. According to FBI Special Agent Kevin Doyle, he provided “background information” and reviewed “surveillance footage” and “social media postings.” He’s sure to face plenty of scrutiny for his decision to cooperate with authorities, but Wiley was set on seeking justice for the late rapper. He was additionally paid well, receiving more than 15 installments of nearly $25K for his work.

“They subpoenaed me to court. I’ve gotta come here and tell them, man,” he also told viewers on his YouTube channel. “It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live [FBG Duck] Carlton.” What do you think of the resurfaced clip of Trenches News speaking on FBG Duck’s murder case? FBG Duck Murder Case: FBI Tells Jurors That A YouTuber Was Paid $25K To Be An Informant

Some pieces are beginning to fall into place for the murder case of FBG Duck. Back in October jury duty was underway, as 150 people were whittled down to just 12. The tragic event that took place three years ago is finally starting to see some more progress toward a trial. Hopefully, the proper punishment for the six alleged gang members who have been charged with the murder will be handed down. They were reportedly members of a rival gang. Prosecutors and FBG’s mother claim that they publicly took credit for the murder afterward.

With that part in motion, we now have more information from HipHopDX. According to them, an FBI Agent has recently informed the jurors that a paid informant has been assisting with the case. The name of that person is Martell Wiley and he runs a YouTube channel called Trenches News. In addition, the Chicago Sun-Times says he will be testifying this week.

Martell Wiley Got A Lot Of Money To Help

FBI Special Agent Kevin Doyle said that Wiley got over 15 installments of nearly $25,000. Additionally, his work with authorities officially began in 2021. However, the YouTuber did contact the Chicago Police Department one day after FBG’s murder to offer his help. Doyle mentioned that “he would provide background information. He reviewed surveillance footage [and] reviewed social media postings.” Wiley is sure to be under fire for breaking the street codes of not snitching. But, he wants to help bring justice to Duck. Wiley said, “They subpoenaed me to court. I’ve gotta come here and tell them, man,” he said in a video on his channel. “It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live [FBG Duck, aka] Carlton.”

What are your initial thoughts on this latest development with the FBG Duck murder case? Do you think things are going to rapidly escalate in court after Martell Wiley broke the code? Will this extra information help bring justice to FBG Duck’s family? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around FBG Duck. PnB Rock Murder Case New Developments: Two Additional Suspects Charged

In a startling turn of events, two more individuals have reportedly been charged in connection to the murder of the artist known as PnB Rock. The artist tragically lost his life on September 12, 2022. The news of new developments comes as a reminder of the ongoing investigation into the shooting of Rakim Hasheem Allen, known by his stage name, PnB Rock. Initial reports of PnB Rock’s murder sent shockwaves through the music community, leaving fans and fellow artists in disbelief. As previously covered by HNHH, the artist’s untimely death occurred on that fateful September day. It prompted immediate investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Following the incident, law enforcement made significant progress in the case. Two adults and one minor were charged in connection to the crime, marking a crucial step forward in the pursuit of justice. However, the latest development in the case was brought to light by Rolling Stone, revealing the arrest and charges against a 45-year-old individual named Tremont Navon Jones. Jones, who had been taken into custody in May, found himself linked to the murder case as a result of charges filed under a separate case number. Suspect number two, Wynisha Evans, was also charged with being an accessory after the fact.

The Latest Update In PnB Rock Case

This peculiar circumstance had kept his connection with the investigation “under the radar” until now. Jones now faces a series of serious charges related to the incident. Including two counts of robbery, one count of “conspiring to rob,” and one count of illegal possession of a firearm. These charges underline the complexity of the case. It also relies on law enforcement to bring all those responsible to justice. Documents unveiled a striking revelation: authorities now believe that it was Tremont Jones, not a post on the rapper’s girlfriend’s Instagram, who tipped off the alleged killers to PnB Rock’s whereabouts. This is significant for a number of reasons. Particularly since social media largely blamed her for his death. Since, she’s been in a deep depression.

As the investigation continues to unfold, the music world and PnB Rock’s fans await further details. The charges against Jones, coupled with the previous arrests, serve as a reminder that the pursuit of justice knows no bounds. And that the memory of PnB Rock will not be forgotten. Moreover, the case remains an evolving and intricate one, leaving many questions yet to be answered. Stay tuned to HNHH for updates.

YNW Melly’s Co-Defendant, YNW Bortlen, Hit With Witness Tampering Charges

YNW Melly and his double murder case have been ongoing for years now. Overall, Melly has been in jail for the better part of five years at this point. Although he has applied for bail numerous times, it has never been granted. His first trial this summer was ultimately declared a mistrial as the jury could not decide on an outcome. Subsequently, he will go to trial again, this time on October 9th, which is when the jury selection will begin. However, there is no telling when the arguments will actually start, as jury selection could take weeks.

Now, however, there is a huge development in the case. Although this time around, it is YNW Bortlen who is getting the attention. Bortlen is being tried separately in this case, and many are wondering how he will be treated. He had previously been granted bail and was living freely in Florida. However, that freedom has now come to an abrupt end. According to journalist Bryson “Boom” Paul, YNW Bortlen was arrested on Monday.

As he reports, a raid took place at YNW Bortlen’s home. Following the raid, they decided to book him on witness tampering charges. He is currently in Miami-Dade County, which means this is an “out-of-county warrant.” Overall, this is not a good development for Bortlen. Although he was going to have to go to trial anyway, he was at least enjoying some sort of freedom. Now, it seems unlikely that he will get bail prior to his trial, which is three months from now.

Ice-T Reacts To Keefe D’s Arrest Over 2Pac Murder: “People Talk Too Much”

Ice-T has addressed the arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis in connection to the murder of 2Pac. Speaking with AllHipHop, Ice-T explained that he doesn’t understand how it took authorities this long to solve the case. He noted that Keefe D has spoken about the killing in countless interviews over the years.

“My initial thought was ‘people talk too much,’” Ice-T said. “I think L.A. knew exactly how this thing played out, I just don’t really understand why it took law enforcement so long, because if I say that I’m in a car with somebody that does something, I’m part of the crime. If I go over to your house and ask you for a gun and you give it to me and I go do it, you aided and abetted the crime.

Police Arrest Keefe D For The Murder Of 2Pac

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – SEPTEMBER 29: (L-R) Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson hold a news conference at the LVMPD headquarters on the arrest and indictment of Duane “Keefe D” Davis for the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur on September 29, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Nevada grand jury indicted Davis on one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the fatal drive-by shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Ice-T continued: “So my point is that with all the interviews and all the books where dude just happened to say it 100 times on interviews he did: ‘I was in the car’—he said it. No one else said it. He said it. So why? Why? Why would you say that if you didn’t want to get caught? So you know, I got no love for dude. It was a chain of events that should not have ever happened. It’s all out of my realm of understanding.”

“He names everybody else in the car,” he added. “And now he’s basically dead—he’s gonna spend the rest of his life in prison all by his own hand. You don’t even need anybody to testify.” Prosecutors claim that Keefe D ordered the hit on 2Pac out of “retribution” for an altercation that occurred earlier in the night. He will appear in court on Wednesday, October 4, for his arraignment.
