Six men have been convicted of murdering Chicago rapper FBG Duck in 2020, according to The Chicago Sun-Times. The jury came to the conclusion after two days of deliberations, determining that the six men — members of the O Block set of the Black Disciples gang associated with rappers like Chief Keef and King Von — were all guilty of at least one count.

The six men, Charles “C Murda” Liggins, Kenneth “Kenny Mac” Roberson, Tacarlos “Los” Offerd, Christopher “C Thang” Thomas, Ralph “Teezy” Turpin, and Marcus “Muwop” Smart, were accused of shooting Duck (real name Carlton Weekly) outside a clothing store in August 2020, hitting Duck’s girlfriend and another bystander. The shooting was prompted by a series of diss tracks exchanged between Duck, representing the Tookaville set of the Gangster Disciples, and Von, who prosecutors say put a bounty on Duck before his own death in Atlanta that autumn. (Two years later, another member of FBG, FBG Cash, was also shot and killed in Chicago.)

Five of the defendants were identified from surveillance footage and tracked through the shooting through city surveillance cameras, while shell casings found in one of Roberson’s car tied the vehicle to the scene. One other defendant, Ezell Rawls, killed himself during the investigation. Although defense lawyers argued that the evidence was slim and circumstantial, the evidence presented was convincing enough for the jury.

A report from the Chicago Sun-Times has revealed that a well known YouTuber was paid fifteen times, totaling $25,000 for cooperating in FBG Duck’s murder case.

“Trenches News” creator Martell Wiley’s participation in the case was revealed by FBI Special Agent Kevin Doyle, who said, “He would provide background information. He reviewed surveillance footage [and] reviewed social media postings.”

Wiley, who was affiliated with Duck’s crew as well as the Gangster Disciples, commented on the news after his cooperation with the feds was made public, saying, “They subpoenaed me to court. I’ve gotta come here and tell them, man. It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live [FBG Duck, aka] Carlton.” Defense attorneys also claim that Wiley was used by the feds twice over a decade ago while he was a resident of Chicago’s O’Block.

TheSource.com will update the details to this story as they develop.

FBG Duck Murder Case: FBI Tells Jurors That A YouTuber Was Paid $25K To Be An Informant

Some pieces are beginning to fall into place for the murder case of FBG Duck. Back in October jury duty was underway, as 150 people were whittled down to just 12. The tragic event that took place three years ago is finally starting to see some more progress toward a trial. Hopefully, the proper punishment for the six alleged gang members who have been charged with the murder will be handed down. They were reportedly members of a rival gang. Prosecutors and FBG’s mother claim that they publicly took credit for the murder afterward.

With that part in motion, we now have more information from HipHopDX. According to them, an FBI Agent has recently informed the jurors that a paid informant has been assisting with the case. The name of that person is Martell Wiley and he runs a YouTube channel called Trenches News. In addition, the Chicago Sun-Times says he will be testifying this week.

Martell Wiley Got A Lot Of Money To Help

FBI Special Agent Kevin Doyle said that Wiley got over 15 installments of nearly $25,000. Additionally, his work with authorities officially began in 2021. However, the YouTuber did contact the Chicago Police Department one day after FBG’s murder to offer his help. Doyle mentioned that “he would provide background information. He reviewed surveillance footage [and] reviewed social media postings.” Wiley is sure to be under fire for breaking the street codes of not snitching. But, he wants to help bring justice to Duck. Wiley said, “They subpoenaed me to court. I’ve gotta come here and tell them, man,” he said in a video on his channel. “It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live [FBG Duck, aka] Carlton.”

What are your initial thoughts on this latest development with the FBG Duck murder case? Do you think things are going to rapidly escalate in court after Martell Wiley broke the code? Drill Blogger Made $25K as Informant in FGB Duck Murder Investigation

The FGB Duck murder trial is underway and the star witness has been identified as a blogger who has been paid nearly $25,000 to cooperate with federal law enforcement. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the blogger highlights the drill rap community.

The witness is Martell Wiley, owner and operator of the Trenches News YouTube channel, which has over 114,000 subscribers. He will take the stand and testify against the six men charged with the murder of Duck.

According to prosecutors, Wiley provided information on the O Block Black Disciples believed to be culprits of Duck’s murder. Wiley was listed in court docs as “Cooperator 1” despite previously saying he was not assisting the feds. In a change of events, Wiley put his trademark sheisty mask back on in a YouTube video from what appeared to be a courtroom, stating that he will cooperate.

“They subpoenaed me to court,” Wiley said. “I’ve gotta come here, man, and tell them, man. It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live Carlton.”

According to the Sun-Times, FBI agent Kevin Doyle revealed after the shooting, Wiley called the Chicago Police Department to assist in the investigation, resulting in payment of $24,963 for his help. “He would provide background information. He reviewed surveillance footage [and] reviewed social media postings,” Doyle said.

Wiley was a resident of Parkway Gardens, the southside apartment complex called O Block. He was at one point referred to as a member of the Black Disciples but also stated to have an alliance with rivals Duck and Gangster Disciples.

You can see his viral video admitting to cooperating below.

In April, 33-year-old Ralph Turpin, known as “Tall” or “Teezy,” was the sixth man charged with murdering aid of racketeering and conspiracy to murder in aid of racketeering in connection to Duck’s murder.

The arrest and charges came months after Duck’s mother, LaSheena Weekly, stated additional arrests were coming. FBG Duck was shot in the chest, groin, and neck, killing him and injuring two others in a robbery on Chicago’s Gold Coast. He was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after receiving as many as 21 gunshot wounds during the attack outside of Dolce & Gabanna.

King Lil Jay Shuts Down Claims Of Hooking Up With Mama Duck

In a recent interview with Cam Capone News, Chicago rapper King Lil Jay found himself addressing controversial claims made by FBG Butta, who alleged that Lil Jay was romantically involved with Mama Duck, mother of the late FBG Duck. Lil Jay, known for his gritty street tales and unapologetic demeanor, didn’t mince words when addressing Butta’s accusations. He vehemently denied any romantic involvement with Mama Duck. Instead, he made it clear that he hasn’t been in close proximity to FBG Butta for an extended period.

Setting the record straight, King Lil Jay revealed that he had spoken to Mama Duck just a week before the interview. He suggested a cordial relationship with the grieving mother. However, Lil Jay expressed reluctance to delve into the details of Mama Duck’s personal life. He cited the ongoing trial related to the untimely passing of FBG Duck.

Lil King Jay Denies The Rumors

“It’s very disrespectful to even be talking about something like that,” he said during the interview. Moreover, the rapper’s response highlights the gravity of the situation surrounding FBG Duck’s death and the subsequent legal proceedings. King Lil Jay’s reluctance to engage in speculative discussions about Mama Duck reflects a measure of respect for the grieving family amidst the ongoing trial. Previously, FBG Duck’s mom has spoken out on her son’s death as well. According to her, she believes King Von was behind the late rapper’s murder and put $100K on his head. Duck’s mom claims that the people allegedly behind his shooting have been “telling on [themselves]” for some time.

The controversy surrounding these claims adds another layer of complexity to an already tragic narrative. As the interview circulates within the hip-hop community, fans are left to ponder the implications of unfounded accusations and the toll they take on those involved, particularly during a period of legal proceedings and mourning. The situation surrounding FBG Duck’s passing remains sensitive, and Lil Jay’s call for consideration shows respect to the situation.

FBG Duck Murder Trial Jury Selection Underway

It’s been three years since FBG Duck’s murder in 2020 and the story is still the subject of so much public intrigue. Part of that comes from the continued revelations made by investigations in to the murder both by the public and by the legal system. Just over the weekend Duck’s mother opener up about his passing in an interview where she reflected on the final day they spent together. She also responded to the rumors that King Von had placed a $100k bounty on Duck, which she claims were true and have been proven.

Earlier this week the legal proceedings for his trial began, starting with jury selection. According to AllHipHop around 150 prospective jurors will be thinned down to a group of 12. They’ll oversee the trial of six different alleged gang members who have been charged with the murder of FBG Duck. The six are reportedly members of a rival gang and prosecutors claim that they publicly took credit for the murder afterward. That mirrored something Duck’s mother insinuated in her recent interview. She also explained that her sons killers had been “telling on themselves” publicly.

FBG Duck Murder Trial Underway

Back in August, rumors emerged that Lil Durk may be connected to the FBG Duck case. Allegedly, files from an FBI informant which somehow made the rounds online identified both Durk and his brother as being involved with the case. That would go counter to the narrative Durk has been pushing about it recently. His message has been that the violence needs to be stopped.

Much of the information relating to Duck’s murder has been made public through his mother. She’s talked extensively about who she thinks was involved, most notably King Von. She’s also spoken on how she believes the events unfolded including how Duck’s location was revealed in the first place. What do you think of the newest developments in the murder trial of FBG Duck? The news for Lil Durk hasn’t been great recently. He’s been dealing with some health issues that resulted in a hospitalization. FBG Duck’s Mom Reveals “Teezy” Shared Her Son’s Location Prior To His Murder

Earlier this year, FBG Duck’s mom shocked the late rapper’s fans with the announcement of her OnlyFans page. We don’t have any updates on that at this time. However, she did return to social media earlier this week to provide some insight on the status of her son’s murder investigation. As you may recall, the rising artist was shopping in Chicago’s Gold Coast district in August 2020 when he was shot and killed. Witnesses at the scene report that two cars pulled up. Four men then emerged and began firing at him before fleeing the scene. Duck survived the trip to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, though he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

As XXL notes, five men were arrested in connection with the “Slide” hitmaker’s murder back in October 2021. Charles “C Murda” Liggins, Kenneth “Kenny” Roberson, Tacarlos “Los” Offerd, Christopher “C-Thang” Thomas, and Marcus “Muwop” Smart are their names. Upon being taken into custody, they were charged with murder in aid of racketeering and federal firearm violations and assaults in aid of racketeering. In addition to their crimes, all the men are allegedly members of Chi-town’s O-Block street gang. In her latest update, Duck’s mom claims that she knows who revealed her boy’s location to his ops, resulting in his untimely death.

FBG Duck’s Mom Updates Fans on Her Son’s Murder Investigation

“They just told me I could tell y’all,” she informed viewers in a recent social media post. “His name is Ralph Turpin, also known as Teezy, THF Teezy. He was the one that saw my baby downtown from across the street. He told them motherf*ckers knowing they had a $100K bounty on my son’s head.” After battling through a moment of obvious emotion, Duck’s mom shrugged and said, “That’s what it is.”

For his part, Turpin is facing one count of committing murder in aid of racketeering, as well as one count of conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering. He remains in custody at this time and is expected to be back in court on April 23 for his next hearing. Check out FBG Duck’s mother‘s update above, and tap back in later for more hip-hop news.
