YNW Melly Faces Six New Charges Related To Alleged Witness Tampering: Details

YNW Melly has been under the microscope of the law for years at this point. Overall, he has been in custody for about five years at this point. Of course, this stems from his alleged involvement in the murders of YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy. His associate, YNW Bortlen, will be taking the stand in a separate trial. Meanwhile, another man named Terrence Mathis is also involved, as he allegedly helped Melly contact Bortlen from inside prison, for nefarious reasons.

Those nefarious reasons in question have been reported on extensively as of late. As you may remember, Bortlen was arrested on witness tampering charges, after a home raid. Moreover, Melly was quickly hit with a witness tampering accusation as well. YNW Melly: Alleged Victim’s Father Blasts Witness Tampering, Home Raid Notes Revealed

The YNW Melly case is the cause of much discussion and speculation online, especially now ahead of its retrial. Moreover, the father of one of his alleged victims (YNW Juvy), Christopher Thomas Sr., recently joined Law & Crime‘s Sidebar podcast. Specifically, he blasted the Florida rapper’s new witness tampering charges, as he stands accused of persuading his ex-girlfriend Mariah Hamilton and her mom Felicia Holmes to conceal information about the alleged double murder. Not only that, but some alleged footage came out of what police discovered during a raid on codefendant YNW Bortlen’s house. All in all, things are getting complicated very fast.

“They going through extreme measures to try to cover up or convince people not to testify like Mariah and Mariah’s mom,” Thomas alleged regarding the YNW Melly case. “They was using code words like Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s baby mom. To me, when I looked at the text messages, I mean Instagram messages, with Bortlen and she said like, ‘You will never- good will never come to somebody because you snake somebody that never did anything to you,’ my mind instantly went to Chris. Like she talking about Juvy ‘cause he didn’t in that situation. I ain’t saying he was an angel, but he didn’t snake Melly. Melly took Chris out.

“And for them to even go through this process, I’m thinking they don’t care nothing about my son,” the father’s accusations about these YNW Melly charges went on. “They don’t care nothing about Chris. I’m like dang, man. Felicia Holmes and Mariah Hamilton, to sit there and be on your own channel and talking about Juvy and Sak were like brothers to her and then do that to them, that’s an insult. It’s just cr*zy.

“There’s a lot of evidence that’s not going to be allowed in,” he concluded. “But everybody in the world know who it points to. But the people that’s lying and covering up, they need to do something about them people too. In my book, they just as guilty.” For more news and the latest updates on the YNW Melly double murder case, come back to HNHH.

YNW Melly And YNW Bortlen Witness Tampering Charges Details Released

After a few weeks of quiet in the double murder trial of YNW Melly, there’s been a blitz of news. That started when his co-defendant YNW Bortlen was arrested last week. Holmes was treated as a hostile witness during Melly’s initial trial, which Paul cites as contributing to his eventual mistrial. YNW Melly And YNW Bortlen Allegedly Used “Rihanna” As Code Name For Key Witness

YNW Melly is just ahead of his second trial in his alleged double murder case, and things took a turn this week when he was hit with a witness tampering charge. The news came after it was revealed that Melly’s co-defendant, YNW Bortlen, had been arrested and given a similar charge. It also followed police raiding the home of Neak Baby, Bortlen’s girlfriend. It was initially unclear what led to the new charges, however, more information has now been unveiled.

According to TMZ Hip Hop, documents suggest that Melly and Bortlen had been working together to keep witnesses from talking to police and testifying in their trials. They’re accused of communicating via phone, despite Melly having had his phone privileges revoked over disciplinary violations. The documents claim that another inmate would communicate to Bortlen, who was out on bond, on behalf of Melly. Allegedly, they used code names for key witnesses. The docs suggest they used “Rihanna” and “A$AP Rocky’s baby mama” as code for one woman in particular. Authorities believe they were able to instruct the witness to not appear at the trial.

His lawyers are sounding the alarm, and they believe the case should be dismissed, altogether.

Unfortunately for YNW Melly and his co-defendant, YNW Bortlen, things have taken a drastic turn this week. Bortlen’s home was raided by the authorities, and he was subsequently brought up on witness tampering charges. The following day, Melly was brought up on similar charges, much to his chagrin. Instead, a woman in the video can be heard saying “No Bond.” Needless to say, this is another charge in which Melly will not be able to seek any freedom. For now, he is stuck in jail, and that process could continue to play out for months as his second trial will begin quite soon.

YNW Melly and his double murder case have been ongoing for years now. Overall, Melly has been in jail for the better part of five years at this point. Although he has applied for bail numerous times, it has never been granted. His first trial this summer was ultimately declared a mistrial as the jury could not decide on an outcome. However, there is no telling when the arguments will actually start, as jury selection could take weeks.

Now, however, there is a huge development in the case. Although this time around, it is YNW Bortlen who is getting the attention. Pras Michel Conspiracy Trial Begins

The trial involving Pras Michel began on Monday (March 27) in Washington D.C., more specifically its jury selection. Moreover, according to an NPR report, the Fugees member faces various charges such conspiracy, witness tampering, and failing to register as an agent of China. For those unaware, an investigation into potential embezzlement of millions to help Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign found Pras at the center around December of 2018. Since then, he faced other legal woes for failing to pay child support, but a broader federal case is now underway.

Furthermore, his legal troubles actually caused the cancellation of the Fugees’ reunion tour back in August of 2022. To elaborate on the charges, apparently the New Jersey native schemed to reimburse attendees of an Obama campaign fundraiser for $40,000 using foreign investment for ticket costs. In addition, authorities accused him of threatening those who would report such a plot to officials. Not only that, but he also allegedly helped Malaysian billionaire Jho Low through a secret lobbying campaign. This was to pressure U.S. justice and White House officials into dismissing the existing fraud scheme.

Also, the court accused him of aiding the Chinese government “secure the return” of a dissident residing in the States and developing close ties to Steve Bannon and the Trump administration. Since Low is reportedly living in China as a fugitive, the 50-year-old MC faces these charges alone. According to his legal team, Pras acted in good faith and in the interests of the U.S. when meeting with a Chinese minister in 2017. While federal authorities reportedly offered Pras a plea deal, he then rejected it and went on to plead not guilty to these crimes.

“Defendant continues to deny he was acting as an agent for China and denies he willfully and knowingly acted as a secret agent under the direction and control of China when he approached the FBI,” defense lawyers stated this month in court documents. Meanwhile, if convicted on all charges, Michel could land in prison for 22 years. For the latest updates on Pras and his legal case, check back in with HNHH.
