Travis Scott & Alexander “AE” Edwards’ Brawl Leaves Cher Proud: “He Finished It”

Last month, footage of a fight in Cannes between Travis Scott, Southside, and Alexander “AE” Edwards went viral. Early on, it was reported that Tyga also threw a few punches, though it was quickly clarified that he wasn’t directly involved despite having been nearby. Reportedly, it all started at Richie Akiva’s party when he gave them a shout-out that rubbed Scott the wrong way.

As a result, he smashed the microphone and stormed off, prompting Edwards to try to calm him down. Unfortunately, this didn’t work out in his favor, as Scott left and soon returned with his friend Southside. They all began to throw hands while Tyga sat unscathed behind a DJ booth. Nobody was seriously injured in the viral clash.

Now, fans have heard from the Goddess of Pop herself, Cher. While she may be a bit biased, as she’s been dating Edwards for almost a year, the performer thinks that he’s on the right side of things. She took to Twitter/X yesterday to weigh in on the drama, revealing that she’s “proud” of her man.

“I’m Proud of Alexander. He Didn’t Start The fight Against 2 Men,… He finished it, Gotta Love Him,” she wrote simply. This echoes what Edwards told TMZ shortly after the incident. “I don’t got no hard feelings. Overall, it seems like it was an incredibly successful affair, especially as the Biggest Boss took the opportunity to launch his new “Slippery Soap” car detailing line. Moreover, it includes ceramic spray wax, interior cleaning, quick cleaning, and many more services that were a big part of this automobile extravaganza. With great cooperation with Fayette County and South Fulton, culinary offerings, and a smooth handling of traffic and safety, Rick Ross’ third annual car show seems like it went pretty hard. However, he’s got a lot of other stuff to handle as well, namely some long-running and recent developments in his rap beefs. 50 Cent recently trolled the Mississippi native with some of his questionable lyrics amid the Diddy scandal, and Ross responded with some more scathing shots. That rivalry is one of rap’s long-standing artistic institutions at this point, with seemingly no end in sight.

NBA YoungBoy Will Return Home Next Month, According To His Cat’s Instagram

In April, NBA YoungBoy was arrested at his Utah home in connection to an alleged prescription drug fraud scheme. The rapper was hit with several charges including identity theft, forgery, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and more. At the time, YB was already on house arrest awaiting trial on unrelated gun charges. In May, he was granted a $100K bond in Cache County. He must also be granted a bond in Weber County in order to be released.

Fans are hopeful that he’ll return home sooner rather than later, and evidently, so is his cat. Earlier this weekend, YB’s pet Neon Celine’s Instagram account provided fans with a highly anticipated update. According to Neon, he’ll be back at Grave Digger Mountain in no time.

“This time next month my dad will be home,” the post reads. Once NBA YoungBoy settles his legal battle in Utah, however, he’ll have to return to his hometown of Baton Rouge for his federal gun charge. The court will then decide whether or not his pre-trial release will be revoked. He’s scheduled to appear in court to discuss the matter next month.

At the beginning of May, Utah Assistant State Attorney Clark Harms filed a motion arguing that YB should not be released before his trial. “Even strict federal pre-trial supervision was unable to thwart his criminal activities and associations,” he wrote at the time. “Finally, defendant is charged with a felony and there is substantial evidence to support the charge and clear and convincing evidence that he violated several material conditions of his federal pre-trial release.” What do you think of NBA YoungBoy’s cat Neon announcing that he’ll return home later this summer? Diddy Gets A Small Win In Assault Lawsuit Amid Other Cases

Diddy may have a lot of legal issues on his plate amid various accusations of sexual assault, abuse, and sex trafficking, but there are still dubs here and there for him per AllHipHop. Moreover, there’s a new development in the assault lawsuit against him from Joi Dickerson-Neal, who claims that he assaulted her in 1991. Specifically, the court dismissed both Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings and Combs Enterprises from the case, per a new stipulation that called for the withdrawal of these companies from this suit. Apparently, both parties reached a mutual agreement and follows a motion to dismiss from Sean Combs’ legal team on April 26.

Furthermore, the reasoning behind this dismissal is reportedly that Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings and Combs Enterprises didn’t exist when the alleged assault occurred in this case. Dickerson-Neal submitted an amendment to her complaint that removed all charges against these companies, signed off by her lawyers and a judge earlier in the week. Diddy is now the sole defendant in this case, and must answer to this amended complaint by June 21 of this year. On the other hand, Dickerson-Neal has until July 19 to file any opposition, and he can respond in support of his motion by August 2.

Regardless of these stipulations, this is still an active and unresolved case based in allegations that Diddy non-consensually drugged and assaulted Dickerson-Neal in 1991 when she was a student at Syracuse University. He has denied any and all alleged wrongdoing brought forth by this lawsuit and others. The Bad Boy mogul’s legal team argues that some claims concerning sex trafficking and non-consensual filming emerged under laws that did not exist when the alleged incidents occurred. These allegations, in addition to all others, are represented by around seven lawsuits against him at press time.

However, there’s a chance that these allegations could become criminal charges, as a grand jury is reportedly probing Diddy’s actions. Given the recent video of him assaulting Cassie, there might be far more scrutiny and attention to detail with these suits now. This could either work in the New York native’s favor or against him, but either way, it’s a horrible look for his public image. We’ll see what else develops to push this scandal forward.

Last week, GloRilla unleashed her eagerly anticipated “Wanna Be (Remix)” alongside Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B, which has resulted in a great deal of drama. Listeners were quick to point out a shady bar from Cardi that seemed to be directed at BIA in response to her subliminal diss on Dreezy’s “B***h Duh (Remix).”

“Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me / She did what? Had no idea / Thought she was on the shelf, IKEA / Hope she talk like that when I see her / B***h please, don’t nobody wanna be ya,” Cardi raps. BIA soon took to Twitter/X to clap back by mocking her, prompting Cardi to clear things up on Instagram Live.

According to her, she recorded a heated phone conversation with BIA about the insinuation that Cardi copied her. Cardi denies this, insisting that she doesn’t like anything about her, including the way she looks, her music, and her style. She threatened to sue BIA too, slamming her for allegedly spreading rumors that she cheated on her longtime partner Offset. “When you lie about my p***y, I’ma sue you and you better come with receipts,” she said.

It doesn’t seem as though BIA is too worried about Cardi’s threats, however. Kendrick Lamar Reference Track For Baby Keem Allegedly Surfaces Online

There’s a lot of conversation around reference tracks these days, particularly due to some recent leaks of songs that people have apparently helped Drake in making. However, a reference track doesn’t necessarily indicate a lyrical ghostwriter, so maybe The Boy’s gotten some undue hate for his references from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Lil Yachty, and more. Regardless, there’s a lot of debate over whether borrowing cadences or taking prompted and consensual inspiration from other artists is the same as using someone else’s lyrics. Either way, the discussion gets even murkier when you try to hold folks to a double standard, as Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem allegedly proved recently through a leak that writing for others is pretty common.

Moreover, a new alleged reference track surfaced online, and it’s Kendrick Lamar’s take on Baby Keem’s 2019 track “BULLIES” off of DIE FOR MY B***H. You can hear it by clicking the “Via” link down below, and there’s no real confirmation of whether or not this is A.I., who wrote which parts, etc. But it sounds pretty legit as opposed to other allegedly debunked leaks, and you can make the judgement call for yourself, but it’s pretty interesting to see the formation of Keem’s mixtape. We also know that they’ve collaborated on a lot of tracks in the past, so this isn’t really a surprising alleged leak.

Furthermore, there have been other leaks from Kendrick Lamar recently, which resurfaced right before he responded to Drake with “Euphoria.” But these concerned more unreleased material and earlier versions of some of his own cuts, so it’s not a one-to-one comparison here. Still, folks have different goalposts for how to perceive, interpret, and critique the use of writers. Is it only relevant when you claim to be the GOAT like Drizzy or is it reprehensible no matter your fame or the nature of your song?

After all, it’s one thing to ghostwrite or give the flow for “BULLIES” and it would be another thing entirely than, say, a more lyrically dense and personal song like the “family ties” verse. While a lot of the conversation is around Drake right now, some fans need to realize this is more of a commonality than what the industry puts on. Kendrick Lamar may be the “ghostwriter” here, but no one is immune to some accusations, inspiration, and uncredited influence. Like many other elements of the rap world, it’s just a case by case basis for the most part.

Cardi B has revealed that she called up BIA to discuss their ongoing feud and the conversation immediately turned “very nasty.” In turn, she started recording the phone call because “you just never know with these hoes.” Cardi detailed the incident during a live stream on Instagram, on Saturday night, as caught by DJ Akademiks.

She began by revealing that she spoke with BIA and the conversation started “very nasty” and “very aggressive.” “I was coming at her and she was coming at me,” Cardi said, before showing that she recorded the conversation. “Then I called her back because I’m so appalled at the fact that she thinks that I’m copying her or that I’m stealing from her because there’s nothing that she do that I like. I don’t like her music. I don’t like her style. I don’t like how she look. I don’t like nothing about her. I don’t even see the b*tch.”

Eminem’s “Houdini” Earns Him Biggest Streaming Debut Of His Career, Steve Miller Pays Tribute

Eminem’s new single, “Houdini,” has officially earned the biggest streaming debut of the legendary rapper’s career. For the song, he sampled the Steve Miller Band’s 1982 hit “Abracadabra,” which prompted praise from the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer on social media. Eminem dropped “Houdini” on Friday with a music video paying homage to his own 2002 song “Without Me.” It features cameos from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Pete Davidson, and more.

He’s been making headlines for various lyrics on the song. At one point, he references Megan Thee Stallion by rapping: “If I was to ask for Megan Thee / Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat? / I don’t know but I’m glad to be / Back, like.”

Steve Miller took to social media to pay tribute to Eminem for the song. In doing so, he labeled the Detroit rapper a “timeless originator” who is “building something new on a long musical legacy of original artists.” From there, he bought up a number of other legends who influenced him including, “Les Paul, T-Bone Walker, Bill Doggett, Johnny Guitar Watson, Howlin’ Wolf, Jimmy Reed, the Beatles, Chuck Berry, Willy Dixon, Leiber & Stoller, Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane & Miles Davis.” He continued: “There aren’t many artists who take the time or make the effort to stand up for themselves and credit and respect their influencers at the same time. Marshall Mathers you are an exception and on my short list of people who respect the art. To be included in your process feels good while I’m still singing and playing the music I love. I’m Honored.”

After several subliminal online spats, yesterday (May 31) Cardi B took to the booth with a direct jab at BIA via her verse on GloRilla And Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” remix.

Following the track’s release, it appears BIA subtly responded to the call on. “B*itches is wack,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “B*tches is trash. I should hang b*tches right over my knee, the way I be puttin’ my belt to the ass .”
