Cardi B Slammed The ‘P*ssy Ass’ Production Team Of BET Experience 2024 After Her Set Was Riddled With Technical Issues

As the kids say, Cardi B is back outside. The “Enough (Miami)” rapper is positioning herself to release her long-awaited sophomore album.

Yesterday (June 28) Cardi put her best foot forward during the BET Experience 2024 concert series. Unfortunately, in Cardi’s eyes, the set didn’t have the bang she wanted. So, during the show, she took a moment to slam the production team in charge of her stage effects.

“Production, y’all messing up my pyros,” she said. “Y’all messing up my music. F*ck am I paying y’all p*ssy ass n****s for? What am I paying y’all for?”

While many fans jumped to the defensive, others, including YouTuber Milagro Gramz, weren’t fond of her comments. “I understand that people have families to feed, but I wished we lived in a better world because no one should ever be disrespected like this in a workplace environment/at all,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Cardi immediately clapped back. “Girl shut up,” she wrote. “When you do a show you don’t pay after, you pay before. I paid 350,000 up front the least they could do is get my pyro ready and turn the fans on because guess what??? At the end of the day, that money is not returnable… don’t half ass my show because you comfortable when I definitely don’t half ass when it comes to paying.”

The two went on to get in a heated exchange over resurfaced commentary from the YouTuber. View the exchange below.

Cardi B closed out by doubling down on her onstage remark after a supporter backed her. Read her detailed about of the technical issues below.

Thank you for understanding. Let me tell you about yesterday! I spent $100k on pyro, that we couldn’t use because the production team failed to have the fire marshall go over safety with my team which is so simple to do. Spent days in rehearsal learning choreography just for them to have the wrong mix, and we had to swap it out. Booked four fans so they could be turned on during ‘Bartier Cardi’ and that never happened. You wanna know why? Because they didn’t bother to show up to rehearsal while hundred thousands of dollars was put into this show. Don’t play with my money in this economy, honey.

The 2024 BET Awards are scheduled for June 30. Hopefully by then, the production team has ironed out any technical hiccups for the other acts.

Polo G’s Mother Defends Filing For Restraining Order Against Her Daughter After Viral Shooting

Polo G’s family drama has escalated with his mother, Stacia Mac, officially filing a domestic violence restraining order against her own daughter, Leilani. The move comes after a climatic incident back in April when the two came to blows. Mac claims Leilani returned home intoxicated after Easter and began attacking her inside her bedroom and breaking other property throughout the home. As tensions rose, Mac says she needed to use a gun to protect herself. A security camera captured the moment of the shooting in a video that went viral on social media afterward.

In a statement Mac posted on her Instagram Story, on Saturday, she admitted the clip is “distressing,” but argued: “Stacia Mac found herself in a position no one should ever face: having to defend her home and loved ones, especially from someone she deeply cares about. For months before this incident, Stacia was desperately trying to get help for her daughter, Leilani. She reached out to family and friends, seeking their support and urging them to join her in getting Leilani the professional care she needed. Tragically, her pleas went unheard, and Leilani’s mental health continued to decline, leading to increasingly erratic and ultimately violent behavior.”

In further posts, Mac fired back against various accusations Leilani has been making online. For one, she shared a receipt showing that she paid her son’s bond when he was under arrest in 2022. Leilani had allegedly claimed that Mac worked as a state’s witness in that case.

Megan Thee Stallion & Lupe Fiasco Drop Bombs On Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

We’re officially halfway through the year, and we couldn’t have asked for a better match of new rap music to round up on our latest Fire Emoji playlist update. Leading the way is Megan Thee Stallion’s new album MEGAN, which has a lot of fiery, dense, and vulnerably triumphant bangers. On that bombastic tip, the catchy flows and bounce on “Figueroa” is a really solid taster you should try out. But if you’re looking for something more chilled-out and lyrically acrobatic, look no further than Lupe Fiasco’s new album Samurai and the tender and breezy highlight “No. 1 Headband” for a mindful experience.

Furthermore, another big Fire Emoji highlight this week is Roddy Ricch’s new single “911,” a warm West Coast-influenced jam with some nice vocal dynamism. Heading down South with a drill flair and light guitars is the latest Latto song of 2024, “Big Mama,” and the flow is pretty infectious. Of course, we’d be remiss not to mention Lil Durk’s new track “Went Hollywood For A Year” and its reflective but confident lyrical matter. While a lot of fans didn’t mess with it as heavily as they wanted, we know that we can never count Smurk out from coming back strong.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

Elsewhere on Fire Emoji this week, you can find more surefire heaters like 42 Dugg’s chemistry-filled new collab with Sexyy Red, “N.P.O.” But that’s not the only exciting collaboration this time around; in fact, we got a couple of notable link-ups this Friday (June 28). One of these is Jeezy’s remix of JT’s “OKAY,” a boisterous and grand track that feels all the more larger than life with the Atlanta legend’s contributions. Also, Offset and Gunna continued to show off how well they bounce off one another on their latest record, “Style Rare.”

But while we’re talking about collabs this week, there’s no better example than Lil Yachty and James Blake’s new album Bad Cameo and its title track. Finally, we wanted to highlight yet another great Chance The Rapper single in 2024, as this week’s “Stars Out” and its relaxed style indicates that his upcoming album will be very special. Let us know what your favorite Fire Emoji pick was this week, as well as what else we missed, down in the comments section below. Check the playlist out above and, as always, come back to HNHH for more great hip-hop drops around the clock.

Drake Posts Fried Rice On Instagram & Subtly Jabs At Kendrick Lamar’s “New Ho King” Line

When will this godforsaken beef end? With every new Instagram post, rumor, Discord message, Reddit thread, and Twitter discussion, it seems like fans can’t get enough of Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s battle, and might even think that there’s more on the way. Well, neither artist is really helping to disprove any of these theories: K.Dot united the West Coast and called his opponent a PDF file downloader about five times in a row, and Drizzy is always happy to troll. Moreover, his latest IG Story post got fans buzzing, and fried rice has never been more of a charged dish to order.

You read that right: Drake just posted some fried rice (and perhaps some dip sauce) he was enjoying, and fans couldn’t help but link this to the Chinese restaurant New Ho King in Toronto. Of course, you likely remember this Kenny bar off of his 6ix God diss “euphoria”: “I be at New Ho King eating fried rice with a dip sauce and a blammy, crodie.” In fact, this restaurant introduced “the Kendrick Lamar special,” as many fans are calling it, and experienced a big boom in business following these diss tracks. The Compton lyricist even included a depiction of this dish in one of his T-shirts sold at his “Pop Out” concert in Los Angeles.

Drake Chows Down On Some Fried Rice & Dip Sauce… Does He Have The Blammy?

Furthermore, it’s clear that both Kendrick Lamar and Drake are very happy to stretch this whole thing out and reference it for engagement of any fashion. We can’t really blame them, though, as it’s been such a massive and likely profitable event for both. But Aubrey Graham is one petty guy, or at least, that’s what much of his post-beef social media presence indicates. This is far from the first time that one of his online posts was interpreted as a not-so-subtle shot.

Still, the question remains: what does Drake want to achieve with this post, and what message does he want to send? Is he gearing up for a round two with more diss tracks in the tuck, even as his summery new Camila Cabello collabs get love from unexpected places? Does he want to take pride in the attacks that his opponent had for him? Or… is it just a troll?

Joe Budden Can’t Help But Vibe Out To Drake’s Collab With Camila Cabello

As much as Joe Budden might have a problem with Drake on many levels, he’s also often conceded that he likes a lot of his material, that he respects him as a rapper, and that it’s a pretty complicated relationship. If you want proof of that, look no further than his latest podcast episode reaction to the 6ix God’s new collaboration with Camila Cabello on her album C,XOXO. Moreover, maybe folks mostly remember Joe’s thoughts on Drizzy through the lens of the recent Kendrick Lamar beef. While he might not always like Aubrey when he acts tough, he does like him with the melodies pretty often.

Furthermore, you can see from The Joe Budden Podcast‘s general reaction to “HOT UPTOWN” that not everyone was as impressed and into it as the titular host. “That’s enough, that’s enough,” Budden said of the Drake collaboration about a minute into it. “We don’t need to hear no more of that. Who don’t know that that’s a hit? Who don’t know that that’s going to take the game where it needs to be? Come on, for the summertime? Coming off of the beef? Perfect thing to do.”

The Joe Budden Podcast Reacts To Drake’s Camila Cabello Collabs

Elsewhere during The Joe Budden Podcast‘s discussion, they spoke on how Drake took things back to a lot of his earlier breezy hits and catchiness. Some folks were “thrown off” by this approach, but the consensus was mostly positive, especially when considering it in a summer context. It’s similar to how folks responded to this and the “Uugly” interlude online: some appreciate the melodic approach, others praise it in a back-handed manner, and some people are just haters. The way the cookie crumbles.

Meanwhile, we wonder if these new Drake tracks will impact folks’ current discussion around who is the better rapper between him and Kendrick Lamar. We definitely know that Joe Budden feels pretty confident in the latter, but rap artists don’t always have to be lyrical masterminds to get praise. No matter how much we play this song in the summer, it’s exciting to move forward for both of these artists. Despite their decade-plus-long run, platforms like The Joe Budden Podcast show that folks are still very excited about what they have to offer in any capacity.

Ice Spice Speaks On The Leaked Texts Of Her Allegedly Dragging Nicki Minaj

Ice Spice has not had the easiest road since starting her rap journey just a couple of years ago. It seems that at nearly every turn, people are critiquing something about her. Whether it be music, fashion, or any other career decision, there seems to be a lot of animosity constantly. For example, her original album cover for Y2K! was clowned mercilessly online. Fans were making tons of jokes about the title being on a trash can. Another thing Ice Spice has been ridiculed over are some alleged leaked texts from an “ex best friend” in which she tore down Nicki Minaj.

The leaker of the messages is Baby Storme and it seems she was doing everything in her power to ruin Spice’s image. According to HipHopDX, this was not the only time Storme was trying to expose the “Munch” rapper. Overall, she was attempting to highlight that she is fake, fatphobic, a cheater, and a liar. As for the Nicki texts allegedly from Spice, there were a few key messages that set a lot of the Barbz off, especially. Two of them were, “shes kinda like my mom. ungrateful and delusional”. That comparison followed previous texts that explained how the drill artist presented the Barbie soundtrack ideas to her because “that’s her brand”.

Ice Spice Is Moving Past The Nicki Minaj Texts

Overall, the whole situation was extremely messy and now Ice Spice is looking to just forget about it. In a recent interview with BET surrounding the upcoming award show, the interviewers vaguely asked her about how she handles certain drawbacks of being famous like the leaked messages. Spice answered by saying, “Sometimes I’m tempted to engage with certain things. But I also realized you’re just going to give it legs to grow and run with and sometimes I think you can overexplain yourself a little bit. So, I just like to focus on what I can control and what really matters.”

What are your thoughts on the response from Ice Spice about the text drama surrounding Nicki Minaj? Do you think she is handling this in the right way, why or why not? If not, should Spice hash things out with her former collaborator? Will we ever get another song between them ever again? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding the Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Kendrick Lamar Fans Theorize That He May Have Rapped From Drake’s POV On “6:16 In LA”

The rap beef that keeps on giving has both Kendrick Lamar and Drake fans reaching, denying, speculating, and continuing to decide on who won this exchange. However, many recent interpretations and conversations around K.Dot’s “6:16 In LA” diss against Drizzy are more concerned with admiration and creativity rather than victory… if a lick of them are true, that is. Moreover, spurred by a recent YouTube video from What’s The Dirt? about the track, many fans are currently running with a theory that the first part of this song (before Kendrick mentions DJ Akademiks) is actually a verse from Drake’s perspective.

First, a few opening arguments and allegations: to folks’ knowledge, Kendrick Lamar doesn’t own a Rolls Royce or a yacht. Drake does, yet Kendrick raps having or dismissing these on “6:16 In LA” in its opening moments. He also talks about tatted passports and asking where he’s from, whereas on “Meet The Grahams” he says that Aubrey goes to Turks to pop percs and has a lot of identity issues. Still, the mention of Estelle (presumably a family member of the Compton lyricist’s that he also mentioned on Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers) and some other lines that could equally apply to Kendrick (“Who am I if I don’t go to war?“) do serve as counter-arguments against this theory.

Kendrick Lamar Fans Speculate On “6:16 In LA”

As such, the more likely scenario is that some elements of “6:16 In LA” are up for interpretation, and that Kendrick Lamar is drawing parallels between him and Drake and explaining how their choices concerning these comparisons are what make them different from one another. Overall, it seems like a bit of a reach, but the What’s The Dirt? video talks about a whole lot more than that. It’s definitely an interesting possibility to consider, and one that either provides more empathy for the 6ix God on Mr. Morale’s behalf or talks about Kendrick’s own conflicted feelings in this battle. At the end of the day, it’s just a theory.

Meanwhile, folks continue to debate over who’s the better rapper, and Kendrick Lamar and Drake have a lot of eyes on their next moves. “The Pop Out” happened, the Camila Cabello collabs are out, and we as fans are starting to move away from the obsession over the outcome. Now, we could go back and reevaluate the disses from a more appreciative and calm lens. Lord knows we needed some clarity and rest after this firestorm… but we’ll happily stay amid the flames if it musical discussion is to follow.

Kai Cenat Hints At Possible Lil Uzi Vert Stream & Fans Think The Rapper Should Do It For This Reason

Kai Cenat’s status online is massive. Due to his charisma, antics, content, and high-profile collaborations, he has grown quite the empire over the years. All of his success has led to him being recognized as one of the funniest people on the internet (14th according to Complex) and a Streamer of the Year award winner. Because of all of his achievements, his drive to bring the best for his “Chat” is still extremely high. Over the last few weeks, we have come to learn that a 24-hour stream with Travis Scott is in the works and could go down in the middle of July when the rapper goes on his Europe tour.

If that star power was not enough, Kai Cenat is teasing a future live stream with Lil Uzi Vert. In a recent clip, the New York native is letting his fans in on some work he has been doing behind the scenes. “Uzi on stream is going to be f***ing insane”, Cenat kept repeating. With that sort of proclamation, it seems like it is bound to happen very soon. Fans want this to come to fruition and for a couple of reasons.

For one, Cenat and Uzi have some incredibly natural and hilarious chemistry together. They have grown fond of each other over time and have previously linked up. One of the highlight moments was when Kai got to be behind the scenes of the music video shoot for “I Just Wanna Rock”. The other factor is that fans feel this would be a great opportunity for the rapper to start teasing some new music again. It has been a while since the Philly native dropped or teased anything, as their last release was “Red Moon” back in December of last year.

What are your thoughts on Kai Cenat potentially getting Lil Uzi Vert on a live stream? How soon do you think this will happen and why? Will this be Kai’s greatest collaboration of his career? Do you think Uzi should start to tease some new music afterwards if this happens? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Miami Beach Has Officially Rescinded ‘Sean Diddy Combs Day,’ According To Reports

Diddy (real name Sean Combs) has been stripped of yet another public recognition. Last month, New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams and the Key to the City of New York committee demanded that Diddy return his honor.

Now, officials in Miami Beach are taking matters into their own hands. According to the Miami Herald, on June 27, the city wide celebration, Sean Diddy Combs Day, was formally rescinded.

In 2016, then Mayor Philip Levine and the City Commission announced the decision to recognize, October 13, as the vanity holiday during the 3rd Revolt Music Conference. At the root of the decision to defunct the day, representatives cited the graphic video, in which Diddy is seen assaulting his ex-girlfriend and former Bad Boy Records singer Cassie.

The governing body behind the decision, the Miami Beach Commission, released a statement shortly after.

“Upon reflection, the Mayor and City Commission have determined that recognizing October 13, 2016 as ’Sean Diddy Combs Day’ is no longer in harmony with the City’s values of safety,” read the note. “Community well-being, and respect, and wish to rescind the proclamation.”

Diddy has not issued a statement regarding the matter.

Although Diddy is not a native of Miami Beach, he does own property in the city and has spent a great deal of time between there and his other home in Los Angeles. In March, both properties were raided by Homeland Security, reportedly in connection with a sex trafficking investigation. During the Los Angeles raid, Diddy’s sons Justin and Christian were supposedly detained by officials, then later released.

Through his legal representatives, Diddy has maintained his innocence of any wrongdoing.

Eminem, Big Sean, And BabyTron Are Ready To Cause Lyrical Nightmares In Their Video Trailer For Single ‘Tobey’

Eminem Big Sean BabyTron Tobey Video Trailer Screenshot 2024
X (Twitter)

Despite fans’ pushback, the seemingly professional burial of Eminem’s rap alter ego is moving full steam ahead. With his forthcoming album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) on the way, Em is treating supporters to another taste of what’s to coming from the project.

Yesterday (June 28), the “Houdini” rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) page to tease his next single, “Tobey,” which is set to feature Big Sean and BabyTron.

“TOBEY. @babytron. @bigsean. New music 7/2. Video 7/5 by @colebennett,” he wrote.

In the gory clip, the trio, dressed in uniform coveralls, serve their most intimating mean mug to prove that Detroit has vested stakes in the “Big Three” conversation. With a chainsaw and creepy Jason Voorhees mask replica, Eminem hacks away at something just outside the camera’s frame, it is clear he means business.

As Babytron is heard rapping, “Tobey Maguire got bit by a spider but see me it was a GOAT,” Eminem’s love for film certainly found its way into the forthcoming collaboration.

Instead of fighting crime (as hilariously seen in the “Houdini” visual), Eminem, Big Sean, and BabyTron plan on wrecking havoc in the rap streets. With creative mind, Lyrical Lemonade’s Bennett, tasked to bring the vision to the screen, come July 5, the nightmares are soon to follow.
