B.G. Shares Heartfelt Message To Fans After His Arrest

B.G. appeared to be back on the right track when he was released from prison last year after spending over a decade behind bars. He quickly linked up with some of his old friends to work on collabs, perform, and more. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse last week, when the rapper was arrested for an alleged parole violation.

Reportedly, he must obtain written approval before pursuing self-employment, which he didn’t. He’s also not supposed to be “associating unnecessarily with” convicted felons, which he’s accused of. Aside from working alongside Gucci Mane on Choppers & Bricks, he recently joined Boosie Badazz onstage for a reunion in Vegas.

Shortly after the news broke, Boosie got online to ask fans for their support. “I’mma need all my supporters, all rap supporters to get behind and try to stop what’s going on with B.G.,” he said in a clip. “These people are trying to lock B.G. up for rapping, bro,” he says in a clip. “This gotta stop, bro. We’ve got to fight for our people, bro… Wrong is wrong.” Now, B.G. himself has taken to social media to share a message with his followers, revealing that while a bump in the road may slow him down, he won’t let it stop him.

Troy Ave Tells Fans He Is Going To Serve Prison Sentence Over Deadly 2016 Shooting

Back in June of 2023, rapper and podcaster Taxstone got into a heated situation with fellow Brooklyn MC Troy Ave. It all went down in 2016 in New York City at the Irving Plaza. Both were at the T.I. concert at the time and a fight broke out leading to a fatality and several injuries. Troy’s bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was the one who unfortunately lost his life. Taxstone blamed the incident on Troy Ave in his defense, imploring that he egged everything on, leading to him pulling the gun out in self-defense. However, the court did not buy it, and they handed him a 35-year prison sentence.

Troy only had to do one year in jail for everything, though. But, according to HipHopDX, he is seemingly heading back to the court room to turn himself in. The veteran rapper announced this on his Instagram by way of short video. “About to run up in the court, you might not see me for a while but just know the streets is a myth. Somebody shot at me. Instead of laying down and dying, I’d have been a hero, a martyr. I take the gun and bust back.”

JPEGMAFIA Updates New Music Plans For 2024 With Fans

JPEGMAFIA started off the new year with a message to his loyal fans, who couldn’t be happier with his output in 2023. Moreover, his Danny Brown collab project SCARING THE H*ES is, for our money, the best rap album of last year, and they even dropped an expansion pack to add even more amazing songs to it. However, some fans expressed disappointment throughout the year when it appeared the Baltimore creative wouldn’t drop his other album that he promised fans in 2023. On Monday (January 1), he took to Twitter to explain to fans what happened, and to thank them for their patience that he looks forward to rewarding soon.

“Took a break for the holidays,” JPEGMAFIA’s Notes app message to fans began, which the “black enuff” lyricist apparently started writing half an hour before the clock struck midnight into 2024. “I’m finishing the album I was supposed to release this year. My plan actual plan for this album was to release it on January 1st. I was going to say nothing, and then do a fake apology on the 31st, and then surprise drop on the 1st today. But I always rush to finish things.

“I apologize to my fans i promised an album to this year, the album will be out 2024,” JPEGMAFIA continued. “I just have to keep working, to make it as best as possible for you. Happy holidays. To all the people in my life I love and that love me. & happy new year to all, even my enemies and their ugly a** kids and families. I will see you all next year.” What’s more is that the Black Ben Carson also reflected on his career history this year. For example, he re-released his 2013 mixtape The Ghost Pop Tape in its original version, plus a remastered edition.

Doja essentially replied she cannot do that because she does not really know them like that. While she does have a point, it still got her fans hot. But, if you have not been paying attention, she could not care less about how they feel.

While it was pretty much expected that the California artist was going to address all of this on Scarlet, it was still executed very well. Especially after the singles “Attention” and “Paint The Town Red,” respectively, she did it in a way that was tasteful. Even after the release, Doja is not backing down from this new outlook on her life and her career. On Sunday, November 12, she announced that she had a big message coming today. Some were upset about the teaser leading up to it, saying she was putting on blackface in the interview with herself.

Even though they usually promise projects that they announce, they take quite a while before they see the light of day. It does sound greedy to say that, though. We did just get the Pink Tape a few months ago. However, with in-demand artists, most want them to drop as much as possible. Uzi cut a deal with his fans that if they got his last album to number one, they would drop another project this year. While that has not come to fruition just yet, there is still a chance it will happen.

At a recent show, Uzi took a timeout to send their love and appreciation to their committed and patient fans. Uproxx, came across a Twitter video from the concert on which the Philadelphia rapper was extremely blessed to have great fans. “As long as I got respect from y’all, that’s all that matters. You know how many people in this s*** used me, disrespected me, that stole my whole style when I never gave a f***? As long as I got y’all, we gonna keep this s*** going.”

Even though they have tons of material released, the past six years have been a little different. Die-hard Lil Uzi Vert fans had to wait three painstakingly long years for Eternal Atake. However, quickly after that, they and Future teamed up for their collaboration project, Pluto x Baby Pluto. Then, Uzi went into hibernation for another three-year hiatus.

They delivered their genre-pushing record the Pink Tape to many mixed reviews. Since the release, Lil Uzi Vert promised that if their latest record went number one on the Billboard chart, a new project would come out. Well, the fans responded, as it reached that mark. Now, we are anxiously waiting yet again for either Barter 16 or Luv Is Rage 3. Uzi has already put out a possible track for the latter of the two with “NFL” a few weeks ago on YouTube.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony as a group is going through a tough time right now that they might not have seen coming. Just a few days ago, one of the group’s members, Krayzie Bone, self-admitted himself to a Los Angeles hospital. The reasoning for that was because he was coughing up blood from a leaking lung artery. He is in critical condition right now and is in a medically-induced coma, according to AllHipHop. We are continuing to send our thoughts and prayers to the Bone Thugs group, as well as their family and friends.

Krayzie Bone deals with a very rare condition called sarcoidosis. It is an inflammatory disease that causes the organs to become covered in lumpy nodes called granuloma. While it defends the body from bacteria and other nasty things it can cause this health problem in a few cases. It came as a shock to many, including DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia. He was just in the studio with him recording music for their upcoming collaborative project. With Krayzie Bone in this heartbreaking state, Layzie Bone is asking fans to give them privacy and prayers during this time.

Finesse2Tymes Condemns Joining Gangs, Tells Fans To Seek Other Things

Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes is a controversial figure in hip-hop, to say the least. His outlandish statements and acts have garnered much attention from the music community for better or worse. From saying he is a hybrid of some of the biggest trap legends in rap, to all of his legal issues with the law, Finesse always puts himself in the stickiest of situations. Most recently, the 2023 XXL Freshman came out with a new track, “Can’t Go To Jail,” amid a recent arrest. According to XXL, on August 25 Finesse2Tymes was handcuffed by Houston police for an outstanding warrant issued in 2018.

He was able to record the incident in the back of the police car during an Instagram Live. In the video, he says, “These folks won’t let me be great, just came lock me up for a warrant in 2018 [unamused face emoji] [man facepalming emoji] I’ll be back yaw [100 emoji].” He continues, “What don’t break n**** make a n**** [100 emoji]. I’m out numbered I gotta against the feds and the opps.”

SZA Shares Inspirational Message About Online Hate

SZA has taken to social media recently, sharing a message to her fans about ignoring haters. “The net is not real,” SZA begins the message. “N***as said my tour would never sell and we were blessed,” she continues, “N***as said my album wouldn’t do well it’s wack blah blah . We were blessed . N***as say a lot . That’s they job . U keep doing yours and being who God told u to be in REAL LIFE.” She tells her fans, “love y’all,” adding heart emojis. The artist elaborated, writing, “By blessed I mean a double platinum album and sold out shows all over the world. I really believed ppl cause they were loud.” SZA says, “Turns out N***as be loud n wrong everyday.”

SZA’s currently on the European leg of her “SOS” tour, wrapping up in the next couple of days in London and Dublin, Ireland. She’ll then embark on the North American leg of the tour, starting in the south with stops in Florida and Tennessee. The tour is also set to feature notable dates in Toronto, Boston, Chicago, Brooklyn, and more. Her “SOS” tour has been wildly successful. In April, Billboard reported that the tour grossed $34.5 million, averaging around $1.9 million per night.

SZA took to social media to speak her mind again earlier this week. She said, “I be wondering where all the virtue signaling, well spoken sh*t talking, internet warriors are when someone genuine needs defending.” “Where the f*ck do y’all be at for lizzo?” she also asked, defending the artist. “Do y’all actually know how to support others or only tear them down.”

SZA also let users know that she “dgaf who don’t agree.” “It’s been on my mind for a minute, makes me upset,” she wrote. “Just want everyone to practice kindness and shutting tf up more often cause GADDAMN IT’S UGLY OUTSIDE ALREADY. Why add?” She then continued to stick up for her “Special” collaborator, letting users know that with the amount of positivity she embodies, Lizzo doesn’t deserve the hate she receives.
