Beyonce Brings Out Kendrick Lamar In Los Angeles On Renaissance World Tour

Beyonce surprised fans in Los Angeles on Monday night by bringing out Kendrick Lamar for her Renaissance World Tour concert. In doing so, the two performed their latest collaboration, a remix of “America Has a Problem,” for the first time live. The show was the last of three concerts at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Unfortunately for fans in attendance, the moment didn’t come without its technical difficulties. According to fans on social media, Lamar’s mic was cutting out during the performance. The Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers rapper wasn’t the only guest to appear during the show. Diana Ross also serenaded Beyonce in celebration of her birthday earlier in the night.

Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar have collaborated numerous times over the years. They worked with one another on “Freedom” off of Beyonce’s Lemonade album in 2016, as well as “NILE” from The Lion King soundtrack in 2019. Speaking with Rolling Stone in 2017, Lamar reflected on collaborating with the legendary singer. “How particular to be about your music,” he said. “She’s a perfectionist. Think about the BET performance. She was very particular — the lighting, the camera blocking, the transition from the music to the dancing. It was confirmation of something I already knew.”

Beyonce Brings Out Kendrick Lamar

Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour recently became the highest-grossing tour by a female musician ever, earning over $450 million. The previous record-holder was Madonna with her Sticky & Sweet Tour in 2008. Beyonce will be performing in Vancouver, Seattle, Arlington, Houston, New Orleans, and more over the next month before wrapping up the tour in Kansas City on October 1. She kicked it off in Europe, back in May and has been on the road since. Be on the lookout for further updates on the Renaissance World Tour on HotNewHipHop.

50 Cent & J. Cole Posted Up In Los Angeles In New Pic

J. Cole and 50 Cent go way back, linking up on wax together on the track “New York Times” along with Bas on Cole’s 2013 album Born Sinner. However, with all the respect they’ve been showing each other as of late, fans hope that we get another collab soon. Moreover, the two recently posted up on social media at Los Angeles, perhaps around the time they hit up Beyoncé’s show. That’s just speculation, but the important thing here is that the skilled MCs are still tight after all these years. They clearly admire each other in different ways, and it’s always great to see two eras of the game converge.

Furthermore, 50 Cent had brought J. Cole out as a special guest during one of his “The Final Lap” shows in Brooklyn. Of course, both seemed to have a great time onstage together, as they celebrated Fif’s career and witnessed the still-in-his-prime phase of the Dreamville spitter. Sure, maybe for some fans out there, it’s hard to imagine their two fanbases converging, since they have distinctly different styles. Still, real hip-hop heads recognize real, and given both their indelible contributions to the genre, those differences become irrelevant.

In fact, it’s compelling to see just how much the G-Unit mogul had an important influence on the North Carolina native. During his appearance at the aforementioned concert, J. Cole made sure to give the Queens legend his flowers. “If y’all don’t make some noise for one of the greatest n***as to ever do this s**t, 50 motherf***ing Cent, Curtis Jackson. Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ the greatest album of all time, I don’t give a f**k what y’all talking about n***a.”

Meanwhile, a collab between them these days might sound very different to what they crafted with Bas on “New York Times.” They’ve both grown a lot since then, whether as people, rappers, entrepreneurs, or leaders within their respective communities and fanbases. All we can hope for is that this is a hip-hop friendship that doesn’t fade. With that in mind, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on J. Cole and 50 Cent.

Jay-Z & Lil Durk Link Up After Beyonce’s Show In Los Angeles

Lil Durk and Jay-Z were among the avalanche of stars present at Beyonce’s recent “RENAISSANCE” tour stops in Los Angeles. The two rappers might be from different generations, but they were all smiles after the concert in a series of newly surfaced pictures. It seems like everybody had an amazing time at the spectacle, and from what footage and testimonies indicate, it should come as no surprise. What’s more is that it’s probably made more fun for fans, given that they can scope out which big names are around. To top it off, this was after Durkio gave a surprise performance as part of DJ Khaled’s opening set that night.

Of course, when two MCs link up, the first thought in many fans’ minds is what a collaboration between them would sound like if there isn’t one already. In the case of Lil Durk and Jay-Z, their hardened and entrepreneurial approach in the game is quite similar. Sure, Hov and other OGs opened those doors for many artists to aspire to, and the Chicago artist is no exception. That inspiration, though, can yield amazing results, so hopefully it ends up happening down the road.

Lil Durk & Jay-Z Twizz Up Post-Beyonce Show

In a XXL interview, Lil Durk said that Jay-Z inspired him to “build an empire of [his] own.” “S**t, look what he did. Résumé speak for itself. He used to be in this position. He used to be the underdog. The streets used to take him under. And he bossed up, you know what I’m sayin’? You ain’t see him post pictures every day trying to fit in. I seen him at Michael Rubin’s party. He like, ‘Man, you motivate me.’ Man, f***ed me up. I forgot my reply to him, ’cause it was on a walk-by. The reply ain’t make no damn sense ’cause it shocked me. I’m like, ‘What the f**k? Damn, that’s hard.’

“It’s just motivation,” he said when asked how that made him feel. “Everything happens for a reason. It was for a reason I was standing right there when he walked past at the time. You know, it’s probably people that be around him every day or be around Drake every day and wasting time. And they won’t be like, ‘Lemme learn how to engineer. Lemme learn how to shoot videos, lemme learn how to…’ They just want to soak up the air. I’m like, nah, I’m gonna get to it. I’m gonna figure this s**t out for us.” On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jay-Z and Lil Durk.

Lil Wayne Reportedly Left 50 Cent Show After Being Pushed Backstage

Things just keep getting worse for 50 Cent. At the same show that Fif hit an audience member with a microphone, Lil Wayne reportedly “stormed out” before his surprise appearance. According to sources who spoke with Page Six, Wayne was preparing to go on stage when he was pushed out of the way by members of the backstage staff. “He just stormed out,” said a backstage source. “He was in the building for about 20 minutes total.” Wayne went on to have a more successful appearance later in the week as part of a different superstar tour. He remained in LA to perform as part of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour stop in the city.

Fif did get performances from Nas, YG, Chris Brown, and Tyga however. Despite this, fans will likely be disappointed that they missed out on getting that extra bit of flair that only Wayne can bring. Neither representatives for Wayne nor Fif responded to requests for comment about the incident. The concert was part of Final Lap Tour and took place at LA’s Crypto.com Arena. The tour ends its North American run in Toronto at the end of September. The tour’s finale will be in New Zealand in mid-December.

Fif Named In Battery Case

However, the issues appear to just keep compounding for Fif. Circling back to the mic-throwing incident, that moment has led to Fif being named as a suspect in a battery case by the LAPD. The moment occurred when Fif, apparently tired of his mics failing to work, threw one into the crowd. It struck Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain in the head, leaving a nasty laceration. Monegain later posted pictures of her injuries to social media, showing the gnarly cut as well as her outfit covered in blood.

“Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client, Curtis [50 Cent], would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” attorney Scott Leemon confirmed to the media earlier this week. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.” However, at this time, it appears that the police are continuing with their investigation for the moment.

50 Cent Leaves Power 106 Host With Bloody Injury After Aggressively Throwing A Microphone

The Final Lap tour is undoubtedly one of the hottest tours in this summer. In celebration of Get Rich Or Die Tryin, 50 Cent has embarked on a global tour that has taken North America by storm. Throughout the past few months, 50 Cent has delivered show-stopping performances in major cities across the U.S. and Canada before he takes over Europe this fall. With support from Busta Rhymes and Jeremih, 50 Cent delivered a spectacular show from start to finish.

Last night’s concert in Los Angeles has earned rave reviews. Bringing out a slew of guests, he treated his West Coast fans with a show that they’ll remember fondly. “Man, @50cent put on one of the best shows I have been to in the last decade tonight. A true [goat]! Had LA rocking for 2 hours & brought out Nas, Chris Brown, DaBaby, YG, Tyga, Jeremih, etc. WHILE YA’LLS TOURS GETTING CANCELED THESE OGS ARE SELLING OUT ALL SUMMER! #TimelessMusic,” Bootleg Kev wrote on Twitter. Unfortunately, not every shared the same experience.

Things Go South At 50 Cent’s Los Angeles Show

50 Cent might face a lawsuit after striking a Power 106 host in the head with his microphone. The rapper’s The Final Lap tour stopped in Los Angeles, bringing out several guests from Nas to YG. Unfortunately, it wasn’t necessarily a great time for everyone. At one point in the show, the rapper tossed his microphone in the crowd, hitting Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain in the head. Photos emerged on The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram that reveal the injuries Monegain sustained as a result of the mic toss.

One fan initially shed light on the incident on Twitter, writing, “50 Cent just threw his mic hard af and it hit a girl face and it was bloody he getting sueeed.” The footage reveals 50 Cent seemingly struggling with his microphone during YG’s performance. He handed one over to someone off-stage before tossing another mic. Then, the footage showed him hurling his microphone in the direction of the crowd. It’s unclear what prompted him to throw the microphone that hard but it wouldn’t be surprising if Monegain ends up taking him to court over the matter.

Lil Durk Walks Out With Drake At LA “It’s All A Blur” Show

Drake’s currently making his way around the U.S and Canada on his “It’s All A Blur” tour alongside 21 Savage. Fans have been eager to see what special guests will be spotted on the tour, recently being surprised with Sexyy Red, Summer Walker, Kim Kardashian, and more. Earlier this summer, the Canadian performer even walked out with Lil Yachty, much to fans’ excitement. At a recent tour stop in Los Angeles, Drake walked out with another surprise guest, Lil Durk.

As one would expect, fans were thrilled by his appearance. In a clip of their entrance, the crowd is heard going nuts for the duo. The guest appearance has also now managed to get social media users speculating about what kind of significance it could have. Many think that Drake could be hinting at a Lil Durk feature on For All The Dogs, which is believed to be dropping this Friday. Though it’s unconfirmed, it would make sense based on a statement the Chicago MC recently made on Twitter.

Lil Durk And Drake

Feel like going on my feature run,” Lil Durk wrote earlier this week. “I’m healed,” he added, “First stop sexy red second stop ytbFATT.” Though the rapper failed to mention Drake, a collab on his new album would certainly fall into line with what he said. It’s clear that fans would appreciate a Lil Durk feature on For All The Dogs, following the massive success of their 2020 team-up, “Laugh Now Cry Later.”

Last month, Durk faced an unexpected health scare and was hospitalized for exhaustion and dehydration. This led the performer to cancel a slew of his own tour dates, much to fans’ disappointment. He picked back up with a show in his hometown, which was unfortunately clouded by a false shooting threat. This resulted in the show ending early and some merch stands getting looted. Luckily, he was able to have a great show the following night. Stay tuned to HNHH for more updates on Lil Durk and Drake.

Polo G’s Attorney Speaks Out Following Police Raid

Polo G’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, has released a statement regarding the rapper’s recent run-in with the law in Los Angeles. His detainment came after police raided his home and found a firearm on the property. Cohen has explained that this is simply to “verify” his client isn’t a convicted felon.

“The incident surrounded someone staying in Polo’s home and not Polo directly,” Cohen told XXL. “The officers have detained Polo to ‘verify’ that he is not a convicted felon, as they assert a firearm was found in the home. It is widely known that Polo is not a convicted felon and never was a convicted felon. I personally got all his charges in Miami dismissed when he was in our opinion wrongfully arrested and charged. They have refused to allow us access to our client which is also an illegal and unethical practice and someone will have to answer for these new wrongful actions.”

On Wednesday morning, police swarmed Polo G’s home. Afterward, the rapper was spotted being carried away in handcuffs. A law enforcement source for TMZ told the outlet they executed the search warrant in relation to a robbery and 4 suspects had been taken into custody. A rep from Polo G’s team clarified that he wasn’t the focus of the active investigation.

The legal troubles for the rapper come after he recently hinted about considering retirement. “This rap shit got so l*me and watered down it ain’t no fun in it no more,” he wrote in one post on Twitter. He later added: “Honestly after my hood poet album I’m considering retiring from music [purple heart emoji, two hand-heart emojis] so I appreciate everybody ridin for me 10 fold [tornado emoji].” Be on the lookout for further updates on Polo G’s legal status on HotNewHipHop.

Drake Shouts Out Kobe Bryant Night Before Lakers Legend’s Birthday

Drake was once again in Los Angeles for another concert on the ongoing It’s All a Blur tour. August 22 marked the sixth show in the greater LA area, following a four-show set in Inglewood. During the August 21 show, Drake went out of his way to feature LeBron James and his son Bronny. However, August 22 saw Drizzy pay tribute to a different Lakers legend.

Performing at the Crypto.Com Arena, Drake briefly paused the show after a black Kobe jersey found its way onto the stage. “I’mma hold this up ’cause we got to show love to Kobe one time. Y’all make some noise for Kobe at this time,” Drake said. After several minutes of thunderous applause from the sold-out crowd, the Toronto rapper continued with his performance. It’s has been a little over three-and-a-half years since Kobe and his daughter Gigi tragically died in a helicopter crash.

Drake Adds Special Meaning To Kobe Bryant Day

Drake’s shout-out to the late Lakers legend came the night before Bryant’s birthday, August 23. He would have turned 45 this year. Furthermore, the moment came two days before Kobe Bryant Day, which the City of Los Angeles declared following Bryant’s death. On August 24, the city encourages its residents to take time to reflect on Bryant’s legacy and his impact. As for Drake, he next has shows in Seattle before closing out the month of August with a pair of shows in Vancouver. The tour is currently set to end on October 9 with a concert in Columbus, Ohio.

However, Drake is not the only one who has been remembering Kobe as of late. During the recent Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement, Bryant’s name was brought up several times. However, one of the more emotional moments came from Bryant’s teammate, Pau Gasol. “I wouldn’t be here without you, brother. I wish more than anything that you and Gigi were here today with us. I miss you and love you,” the Spanish legend said.

Drake Walks Out With LeBron James & Bronny At Los Angeles Tour Stop

Drake and 21 S*vage have had no shortage of superstars arrive as special guests for their “It’s All A Blur” tour. Moreover, for their trek of shows in California, the Los Angeles crowd went absolutely ballistic for the latest duo to accompany the 6 God to the stage. None other than LeBron James of the Lakers and his son Bronny accompanied the OVO mogul as he went down the stairs and through rows of adoring fans on his way to the stage. What’s more is that he even took the time to sign a fan’s copy of his poetry book on the way. With two titans of their respective fields in the same room, you can imagine how electric the energy was.

Furthermore, it seems like the NBA superstar and his family actually really enjoy a good concert or two. Recently, LeBron James was spotted at a Brent Faiyaz show having a vibey and chilled-out time, so a show like Drake and 21’s must make for a more mood-mixing experience. After all, the 36-year-old has as many soft jams as he does bangers in his discography. If nothing else, this is another point of the long board of the two’s history together as solid comrades and good friends.

Bronny & LeBron James Walk Drake Out In Los Angeles

Not only that, but said support extends to Bronny’s basketball career, which Drake also supports to this day. Back in 2020, he accompanied LeBron to watch his son’s game courtside, and they all seemed to enjoy their outing together. With this recent tour stop in mind, we can only imagine what other noteworthy guests will pop out during the “It’s All A Blur” run. Each new concert seems to hold another name to go wild over, or some antic or announcement that sets social media ablaze.

Meanwhile, it’s quite interesting to see how the two’s career trajectories yielded similar paths. Both are at the top of their games, amassing a heap of haters and doubters amid heaps upon heaps of supporters. In addition, they’re both in places where they should be closing up shop soon, but seem far from doing so. As such, there’s no reason not to be excited for what’s to come from them- and from an emerging and bright talent like Bronny. For more news and the latest updates on LeBron James and Drake, keep checking in with HNHH.

Cardi B Has Hectic Reaction To Tropical Storm Hilary & Earthquake In Los Angeles

The world is watching as Los Angeles, the greater Southern California area, and Mexico are reeling from unprecedented natural disasters. Moreover, a tropical storm, Hilary, weakened from a hurricane before it landed on Sunday (August 20), the first of its kind to hit the region in over 80 years. Amid flash flood warnings, heavy rain, and the cancellation of various events such as concerts in the affected areas, this made many worry about not just this event, but the effects of climate change as a whole. Not only that, but a magnitude 5.1 earthquake also hit these locations, centered in the city of Ojai.

Cardi B was one of many celebrities to react to this, and though she kept things light, many others expressed more concern and well-wishes. “That earthquake woke me the f**k up,” the rapper expressed in a short video uploaded to her social media. Fortunately, as of writing this article, it seems like these natural disasters haven’t caused a lot of significant damage, whether physical or life-threatening. Still, it’s a scary sight to see, and hopefully this lack of danger persists throughout the affected areas’ recovery.

Cardi B Reacts To California Earthquake Amid Tropical Storm

Of course, many people online turned this potentially disastrous development into a debate on its causes. While it’s still far too early to identify and meteorological factors at play here, natural disasters in California have often been tied to the impact of climate change. That conversation is unfortunately quite politicized and polarizing, as folks bicker over political implications rather than focusing on helping those in need. Many hope that this will not be a botched response like we’ve seen to other countries and states in regards to these events, and that the recovery process will be swift.

In the face of historic tragedies or near-tragedies like these, artists can use their platform to lend a supportive hand. Even though this seems to be manageable, the devastating potential impact of earthquakes and tropical storms needs no introduction. As such, we send our best wishes with the affected areas right now as they navigate what comes next. For more news and the latest updates on your favorite artists reckoning with the world around them, check back in with HNHH.
