Tee Grizzley And Lil Durk Cop ‘White Lows Off Designer’ On Their Latest Collaboration

Tee Grizzley switches up his flow on his new song “White Lows Off Designer” — a likely side effect of collaborating with one of the most melodic rappers out, Lil Durk. The woozy-sounding single finds the two Midwestern MCs reflecting on the street code — “Loyalty no option / Please don’t start no drama” — with singsong flows that make the gritty subject matter sound almost beautiful.

Although he hasn’t announced any projects coming out this year, Tee Grizzley appears to be slowly rolling out a new collection of music for 2021. He most recently put out the video for “Late Night Calls,” his first solo single of the year after sharing a pair of singles featuring his little brother Baby Grizzley, “Twin Grizzlies” and “Gave That Back.”

Meanwhile, the resurgent Lil Durk has been a hot commodity for features ever since popping up on Drake’s single “Laugh Now Cry Later.” New Jersey newcomer Coi Leray tapped Durk to add a verse to her breakout single “No More Parties,” R&B revivalist Kehlani put him on her “Love You Too,” and Lil Baby is working on a joint mixtape with him.

Lil Baby Reveals The Title Of His And Lil Durk’s Upcoming Joint Mixtape

In a new interview with MTV News, Lil Baby revealed the title of his and Lil Durk‘s hotly-anticipated joint mixtape. While there was some doubt that such a project even really existed, Baby insisted that “Me and Durk dropping an album for sure” before revealing that the album in question is titled The Voice Of The Heroes. Baby explained the title as well, saying, “When it comes to that street sh*t, that ‘hood sh*t, we like the heroes. The kids look at us as heroes.”

Further detailing the contents of the album, Baby promised a variety of different song styles. “We got songs with bars, we got songs with vibes,” he said. “It’s gonna be one of the craziest albums to ever come out… We got more than one album recorded. We been locked in with each other. That sh*t easy.”

The two rappers first teased the potential crossover project in the wake of their “Finesse Out The Gang Way” video from Durk’s 2020 album The Voice. A few weeks later, they went into full promo mode, posting about the mixtape all over their social channels. With Lil Baby revealing the tape’s title, perhaps the release date will follow. Until then, fans will just have to wait for more details and run back “3 Headed Goat” on repeat.

Lil Durk And King Von’s ‘Jump’ Video Highlights The OTF Crew Chemistry

While King Von‘s posthumous appearance on the new video for “Jump” is an obvious highlight, the clip also displays the chemistry that runs throughout Lil Durk‘s OTF crew. Fellow Only The Family members Booka600 and Memo600 set things off with a give-and-go verse showing off their complementary mindsets, then Von and Durk bat cleanup. In the video, Booka and Memo hold down a gangsta house party, while Von and Durk’s half of the song soundtracks an apparent midnight meeting between two twitchy gangs.

“Jump” is the latest posthumous appearance of the late King Von, who was killed in Atlanta after being shot in a nightclub parking lot during a fistfight. While Durk has put forth a heroic effort to keep his friend’s music at the forefront of pop culture, releasing the “Still Trappin” video as one of the singles from his album The Voice, Von verses became a hot commodity shortly after his death even without Durk. Fivio Foreign and PNB Rock both included appearances from Von on recent releases, while Von’s album Welcome To O-Block spawned the posthumous single “Armed & Dangerous.”

“Jump” also constitutes one of Von’s three appearances on the new OTF compilation, Loyal Bros, which was released earlier this month. The project also features cameos from some of rap’s biggest names, including Lil Uzi Vert, Tee Grizzley, and rising star Foogiano. You can listen to it here. ‘

Coi Leray And Lil Durk Deal With The Remnants Of A Get-Together In Their ‘No More Parties’ Video

Coi Leray’s 2021 is off to a great start and it comes as a result of her “No More Parties” track. The single was released at the end of January and quickly found success on TikTok thanks to a short video with the song playing in the background that tallied more than 42 million views in just a week. Giving it a second boost, she tapped Lil Durk for a remix of the song, which helped the record reach its peak of No. 32 on the Billboard singles chart. Nearly a month after the remix was dropped, Leray and Durk join forces for a new visual for the song.

While the motto of “no more parties” is clear to Leray, her friends failed to receive the message as they threw a wild get-together at her home while she was gone. Upon her return, she’s left to clean up the mess that was left behind. From Solo cups to unwarranted guests, Leray is tasked with removing all of the unwanted components from her home with some well-supplied help from Durk.

“No More Parties” stands as a great follow-up to her 2020 EP, Now Or Never. The six-track effort was backed by guest appearances from Gunna, Kiana Lede, Sevyn Streeter, and Fetty Wap. As for Lil Durk, the video arrives days after he appeared on The Tonight Show to perform “Still Trappin” and “Stay Down” with 6lack.

Lil Baby And Lil Durk Promote Their Promised Joint Album

Rappers are always promising joint albums — or just feeding existing rumors about them based on fan speculation — but Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s proposed collaborative tape appears to be more real than ever after both principals spent the weekend hyping its eventual release on social media. While Lil Durk tweeted about the album and posted on Instagram, Lil Baby was busy avoiding Twitter, so he instead shared his thoughts via Instagram Story.

“Aye y’all tell @lilbaby4PF let’s drop that tape,” Durk tweeted. “Streets need this.” He followed up with a post on Instagram promising fans that the two rappers would drop the tape provided the post received 100,000 comments.

Meanwhile, Lil Baby first shared a screenshot of a fan account’s post to his Story, adding the text, “Aye y’all, tell @LilDurk let’s drop the tape.” Then, after Durk posted about it on Instagram, Baby shared the post to his Story, wondering, “Bra, why the hell you playing?”

The clamor for their crossover has reached a fever pitch mainly because the duo’s last collaboration, “Finesse Out The Gang Way,” was well-received by fans of both artists. The newly resurgent Durk has been on a roll for the past two years, just as Lil Baby emerged as a force himself. As both rappers climb into the upper tier of rap stardom, it’s only natural that fans would want to see them work together — especially considering their chemistry on tracks like “Finesse” and “3 Headed Goat.” Plus, Baby has proven he can bring the best out of a collaborator on 2018’s Drip Harder with Gunna, so giving Durk the same foil may result in some spectacular contemporary rap.

Will they actually drop a full project? Who knows, but maybe Durk can give Baby some pointers on his jump shot after Saturday’s disastrous showing at the B/R Open Run two-on-two game with Jack Harlow and Quavo.
