Rae Sremmurd’s “Tanisha (Pump That)” Single Arrives On Today’s “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update

The weekend is upon us once again, which means it’s finally time for another Fire Emoji update. Last weekend it was Nicki Minaj who earned her flowers thanks to “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.” This time around, we’ve got an impressive roster of mostly male artists who are showing what they have in store for the year with their latest releases.

At the top of our list today (March 11) is T.I. and Kevin Gates’ first-ever joint single. “Active” chiefly finds both artists show off seriously impressive lyricism. It’s likely to appear on the former’s upcoming Kill The King album. This will end his long-running reign as the self-proclaimed “King Of The South,” which he’s been proudly carrying for most of his career.

Following that is another collaborative effort, this one coming from Hunxho and Tee Grizzley. “Uh Huh,” has already made a strong impression on hip-hop heads. Future is another name we’re excited to have on our latest Fire Emoji round-up. The Atlanta native joined Eladio Carrion for the remix of his “Mbappe” song, which landed on DSPs earlier this week.

Our sole female selection comes from Lola Brooke, who’s feeling “So DISRESPECTFUL” on her hot new release. “It’s Gator Season, bitch, go and wait for the next seat / I hate it when a n*gga act overly obsessed with me,” the quickly rising star rhymes on her first drop of 2023. “These hunnids make me feel good / Baby come caress me,” her confident bars continue.

Next up is yet another posthumous release from YSL artist Lil Keed. His “Self Employed” single is nothing short of Fire Emoji worthy. The song is due to appear on the late rapper’s forthcoming album, following last month’s “Long Way To Go.” Artists who will appear on the project include Young Thug, and Big Sean.

Our final two picks of the week are Swizz Beatz’s link up with SAINt JHN, Fivio Foreign, and BIA on “Street Opera,” as well as Rae Sremmurd’s “Tanisha (Pump That).” The former is a part of the Godfather of Harlem soundtrack, while the latter will appear on the dup’s long-awaited SremmLife 4 project. Check it all out exclusively on Spotify below, and share your favourite new release from this weekend in the comments.

Rae Sremmurd Sees Somebody They Like On ‘Tanisha (Pump That)’ From Their Upcoming Album ‘Sremm 4 Life’

Rae Sremmurd, the brotherly rap duo from Tupelo, Mississippi, is back with another new single from their newly announced album, Sremm 4 Life. It’s called “Tanisha (Pump That),” and it’s an upbeat, pulsating club song — think the Miami bass-style R&B of Ghost Town DJs’ “My Boo” — and finds the Brown boys admiring a special young lady at the function and encouraging her to “poke it out” before offering to “take you on a private vacation.”

The song is produced by the Ear Drummers’ longtime collaborator Mike Will Made-It, who co-produced alongside veteran hitmaker Pharrell Williams. On Twitter, Mike Will promised that “Ear Drummer Summer is loading,” which is a welcome relief for those fans who’ve had to wait almost five years for a follow-up to Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi’s last album, 2018’s SR3MM.

Ahead of announcing the release date for Sremm 4 Life, the sibling act shared a string of singles that included “Denial,” “Torpedo,” and “Sucka Or Sum,” displaying their usual well-worn chemistry. Earlier this week, they also showed off the album’s cover artwork, which continues their tradition of minimalist covers while updating it to show off their style.

Slim Jxmmi Slams Millyz For Using The Same “Stan” Sample As Swae Lee

It appears that there’s a competition of samples between Rae Sremmurd and Jadakiss co-signed rapper Millyz. The Boston-bred lyricist recently revealed a new song that samples Eminem’s hit record, “Stan.” Millyz interpolates Ditto’s hook over a pitched-up version of her melody that showcases his range while reflecting on his own hardships. “Even if I could, it would all be straight/ With this pistol on my waist/ It reminds me that I could die tonight, die tonight,” he sings on the hook.

Months prior, Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee lit up the Internet when he previewed a new song that also contained the same sample as Millyz’s latest record. On the record, Swae’s delicate vocals bring a youthful energy to the record. “My lean’s gone cold I’m wondering why I, got out of bed at all/ 3.5 clouds up my window, and I can’t see at all/ And even if I could it would all be great, with these racks stacked up too tall,” he raps. Just a few days ago, he suggested that he finally got the sample cleared for Sremm 4 Life.

Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee Vs. Millyz

Just before the release of “Tonight,” Millyz confirmed that he got Eminem’s blessing. “OMG WE CLEARED THE ‘STAN SAMPLE!!!” Millyz wrote. “DROPPIN 3/9 SALUTE TO THE [goat].” However, this led to Rae Sremmurd member Slim Jxmmi leaping into the comment section on Akademiks’ post to tear down Millyz’s upcoming single since it uses the same sample from Swae Lee’s upcoming release. “Naw this ain’t it fam! Sremm4 got the bangings version! Sample cleared!” Slim Jxmmi wrote.

Millyz ultimately shrugged off the Rae Sremmurd rapper’s comments, writing, “I cleared the sample too lil did u be aight.” While the comments spread across social media, ultimately landing on Akademiks’ page, Slim Jxmmi doubled down afterward, writing, “Wasn’t nobody on this sample till my brother leaked his version singing live.” Overall, Millyz appeared caught off-guard because he never expected to feud with the “No Flex Zone” duo. “Havin smoke w rae shermurd is crazy,” he wrote along with several laughing emojis. So far, Swae Lee hasn’t chimed in on the matter but we’ll have to wait until April 7th to hear what Rae Sremmurd has in store on Sremm 4 Life.

Rae Sremmurd Drops “Tanisha (Pump That)” In Anticipation Of Fourth Studio Album

Nearly five years ago, Rae Sremmurd dropped their last studio album, SR3MM. Since then, fans of the duo have sat in heavy anticipation for their next project, with only scattered singles and features to keep them on their feet. But as a new album is rumored to be underway, brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi have joined forces once again to bump up excitement toward their highly-awaited studio effort, SREMM4LIFE.

On Friday, Rae Sremmurd released “Tanisha (Pump That),” produced by Pharrell Williams and Mike Will Made It. The vibey track follows “Sucka Or Sum,” which dropped back in January. “Tanisha (Pump That)” is a danceable number that shows a new side of the brothers. In all, this track is equally laid-back as it is catchy. The effect creates an effortlessly cool number that will likely put Rae Sremmurd on the charts once again.

Rae Sremmurd Have More On The Way

With SR3MM ranking thrice for the 50 Best Albums of 2018 recorded by Billboard, Rolling Stone, and Complex, SREMM4LIFE will hopefully level up the game even further for Rae Sremmurd. The album has been teased with several other releases in 2022, including “Denial,” “Community D**k” featuring Flo Milli, and “Torpedo.” Each single that has been dropped so far showcases a variation in the brother’s undeniably unique style. Simultaneously, the classic Rae Sremmurd flow that fans have fallen in love with remains present.

In addition to dropping their first album in almost five years, Rae Sremmurd has hit the road again to join Post Malone during the Europe leg of his Tweleve Carat Tour. Having not toured since the SremmLive II Tour of 2016-2017, it’s possible that the duo is practicing for a potential SREMM4LIFE tour. While the official release date for SREMM4LIFE has yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest April 7th. We’ll keep you in the loop with Rae Sremmurd updates, and check out HNHH for more hip-hop news.

Let’s not go back and forth, she’s what I need
Growin’ it back with force, like the speed
Eyes on your text that say W-Y-A (Yeah)
All of ’em lovers but, babe, I’m away

Rae Sremmurd Announced The Release Date For ‘Sremm4Life’ With Its Stylish New Artwork

Just when it seemed like the wait for Rae Sremmurd’s fourth album was becoming interminable, the sibling act from Tupelo, Mississippi announced the release date for Sremm4Life along with its minimalist album cover on Twitter. The release date will be one month from now, on April 7.

The artwork for the album closely follows the trend established with the first three installments of their Sremmlife albums, with a white background and both brothers mugging for the camera. This time, they’re decked out in stylish outfits, as Slim Jxmmi lies on his back and Swae Lee stands next to him, both throwing up four fingers to mark the milestone.

Fans were, understandably, pretty psyched to see the announcement, as we’ve all been waiting since 2018 for a follow-up to SR3MM, their third album, which consisted of three discs — a group album and a solo album for each brother. Since then, the Brown boys appeared in an episode of Lil Dicky’s FX comedy Dave, Swae Lee became a father while Jxmmi had a couple of run-ins with the law, and they released three new singles to promote the album.

Denial” dropped last June, “Torpedo” came out at the end of the year, and their latest single, “Sucka Or Sum,” arrived in January. The album itself, Sremm4Life, is due 4/7 through EarDrummers / Interscope.

Rae Sremmurd Rumored “Sremm 4 Life” Release Date Revealed

The wait is almost over and it seems like Sremm season is officially here as Rae Sremmurd revs up for their next album. It’s been roughly five years since the “No Type” duo delivered their last studio album, SremmLife 3. The project served as a triple-disc offering that offered a group project and two solo efforts from Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi respectively. In the time since the two have slowed down on their releases and maintained a rather low profile as fans anticipate their next move. However, they’ve provided several indications that they were hard at work on their next studio album.

In the last year, Rae Sremmurd has continued to build anticipation for their next project. They delivered a slew of singles including “Denial,” and “Community Dick” ft. Flo Milli.” By the end of 2022, they closed the year out with “Torpedo,” produced by Sonny Digital, and most recently, dropped off “Sucka Or Sum.” It seems that “Sucka Or Sum” was the last piece of promotional singles ahead of the release. These records undoubtedly held fans over, many simply hoped that the two would finalize a release date and provide us with new heat before the summer.

Rae Sremmurd “SremmLife4” Release Date

After some significant anticipation, a release date for Sremm 4 Life has been floating around on the Internet. @OnThinnIce, the Twitter page known for breaking news on release dates, said that Sremm 4 Life will be out next month on April 7th. At this point, there hasn’t been any confirmation surrounding if this release date is accurate. We’ve reached out to reps for Rae Sremmurd and will update this article accordingly.

Though they haven’t formally announced the date, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee are gearing up to release a new single this evening. With production from Pharrell Williams and Mike Will Made it, the duo is set to drop their new single, “Tanisha” this week. Hopefully, this won’t be the last single they deliver ahead of their new project. However, we’re eager to hear what they’ve been working on over the past five years. Check out the post above surrounding the alleged release date and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Rae Sremmurd Shine On Their Carefree New Song ‘Sucka Or Sum’ Ahead Of A Potential Fourth Album

Rae Sremmurd returned with a brand new song, “Sucka Or Sum.” The duo members, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, have put out a handful of songs recently, including “Torpedo,” “Denial,” and “Community D*ck” featuring Flo Milli.

They previously teased a snippet of the song in a Twitter video as they got fans excited by jamming out. Produced by Jaxx, “Sucka Or Sum” opens with a calming instrumental before dropping the booming beat.

The music video for the song finds the two brothers dressed as construction workers, in fancy suits, and just having a good time in their regular clothes. Add in some enticing visual effects, and it creates a seriously cool viewing experience.

Last May, Rae Sremmurd began teasing their long-awaited fourth studio album, which could potentially feature their latest few singles. “SREMM4LIFE,” they tweeted along with a photo of a “4” on fire. However, there is currently not a release date and only limited info about the project.

“We’ve got to give them something new, man. As an artist, it’s hard to be yourself, and I feel like with this album, it was like we’re not following a trend,” Jxmmi told GQ last year. “We want set the tone.”

Rae Sremmurd’s “Sucka Or Sum” Single & Music Video Have Arrived

The wait for SremmLife 4 is nearing its end. While the Mississippi natives haven’t unveiled an official release date for the highly anticipated album, they have shared a string of singles in recent months.

To kick off 2023, they’re back with more new music in the form of a single and music video called “Sucka Or Sum” on Friday (January 27). As Complex notes, the brothers previously teased the Jaxx-produced track on Twitter while kicking back in the studio.

Since hearing the infectious beat, fans have been eager for Sremmurd to drop some fire, and they’ve certainly delivered.

On the chorus, Swae Lee obviously has questions for listeners as he sings. “How you gon’ try to play me like a sucka or somethin’? / How you gon’ try to play me when I’m knowin’ what’s up?” the 29-year-old asks.

Other singles to come from Rae Sremmurd lately include “Community D*ck” with Flo Milli and “Denial,” as well as “Torpedo.” All of the aforementioned titles are expected to make an appearance on SremmLife 4.

The group’s last project, SR3MM made its debut back in 2018. Across three discs, the 27-song effort saw appearances from Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Future, Juicy J, and more.

Stream Rae Sremmurd’s “Sucka Or Sum” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, let us know what NMF releases you’re most excited about this weekend in the comments.

How you gon’ try to play me when I’m knowin’ what’s up?
