OceanGate Submersible Used A PC Game Controller To Steer

Since this past Sunday, an OceanGate Expeditions submersible that was going to visit the Titanic wreckage in the Atlantic Ocean is missing. Five people are on board the vessel. The sub has only a few days’ worth of oxygen. Now details of the submersible’s design are coming to light. It’s safe to say that much of the infrastructure was never up to certain standards. One odd bit is they use a Logitech F710 wireless PC game controller to steer the sub. Don’t let the fancy name fool you; the controller costs around $30 on Amazon.

OceanGate’s sub made contact with the Polar Prince research ship, then dove to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. About an hour and 45 minutes into their expedition, communication went dark and they haven’t been heard from since. A segment from CBS Sunday Morning back in November 2022 shows OceanGate founder/CEO Stockton Rush giving a tour of the submersible. At one point, he holds up the game controller and explains that “We run the whole thing with this game controller.”

While the video interview in the Instagram post is fairly damning, it’s safe to assume those who opted for this expedition knew the risks involved. While there is still hope they might be found alive and well, every passing hour makes the situation more dire. The exact reason behind the OceanGate sub missing is unknown at this point. Those on board the 21-foot vessel include Mr. Rush, veteran Titanic explorer PH Nargeolet, Pakistani-born businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, and British aviation executive Hamish Harding.

The OceanGate submersible went missing about 900 nautical miles east of Cape Cod, MA. While many people pray for the passengers’ safety, rescuers continue to scour the depths for the missing sub. Rescuers keep hearing a banging sound of sorts, but the origin of this sound is still unconfirmed. Hopefully, the location is found soon and the OceanGate passengers can reemerge to the surface.

While the Carters looked nothing less than regal in their fancy outfits, Rocky and his “Fashion Killa” captured more of a street-style vibe in their all-blue ensembles.

For his part, the soon-to-be father of two paired his denim LV jacket with jean shorts and tall white crew socks. Rihanna donned an oversized jumpsuit with a block pattern displayed across the denim. She kept the front undone, leaving her growing belly on display under a sports bra in the same design as her outfit. Like Rocky, she too wears a hat on her head. The couple is currently being praised (as per usual) online for their boundless creativity.

While wearing an elegant, deep red dress and stiletto heels, Cardi sits on the hood of a luxury whip. While her beauty budget and the expensive car likely took up a lot of that money, several members of the Bardi Gang were quick to ask their favourite artist how much she paid for the leopard who appears beside her on-screen throughout the footage.

As Uproxx reports, Cardi previously shared her inspiration for “Bodak Yellow” during an interview with Billboard. “I wanted to do a song that is, like, ‘You know what? I’m in a good place in my life right now, and I want to stun. I felt it in my soul — this song is going to be so popping.”

Despite the New Yorker’s obvious enthusiasm about the single, her label reportedly wasn’t feeling it. Quando Rondo Indictment: Rapper Allegedly Manages Rollin’ 60s Gang

Last week, it was reported that 24-year-old Quando Rondo had been arrested on drug charges. The news quickly sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community. After a few days without updates, more information was released on Tuesday (June 20). We now know that 18 others have been indicted along with the rapper. Aside from the drug trouble, those involved are also facing gang charges. Quando specifically is accused of having a managerial position within his local chapter of the Rollin’ 60s.

According to WJCL, the Chatham County District Attorney’s Office has put together a 49-count indictment against the Georgia native and his co-defendants. They’ve been accused of dozens of crimes, such as using a cell phone to conduct illegal activity and gang affiliation. Quando’s personal charges into two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances act, one count of participating in criminal street gang activity, and use of communication facility in the commission of a felony involving controlled substances.

Update on Quando Rondo’s Arrest

As XXL reports, the indictment notably mentions a June 4 trip to Macon, Georgia. At the time, the “ABG” artist was allegedly travelling to pay a marijuana supplier. On the bright side, Quando’s arrest wasn’t a total surprise. He turned himself into authorities on June 16, sending out a telling tweet to his loved ones early that morning. “I Love You Paris, Italy, Kiyah, My Mama, Tess, My Grandma, Freida,” he wrote. “I’ll Be Bacc!”

At this time, the accused gang member has yet to release an official statement regarding his arrest. Amid the mass hip-hop crime wave that’s unfolding, it’s been increasingly difficult to keep up with the news coming from various cases. The YSL and YFN RICO trials are still unfolding, and YNW Melly is in court this month as his proceedings move forward in Broward County. Interestingly enough, Quando Rondo was venting about wishing he had kept more of his personal life private just weeks before his recent arrest. YNW Melly’s ongoing double-murder trial has brought forth plenty of interesting revelations so far. It seems the proceedings have been particularly difficult on the mothers involved, especially those of the two victims – YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser. Of course, there’s also the mother of Melly’s ex-girlfriend. She was brought to the stand as a witness for the prosecution last week. During her testimony, the woman made it abundantly clear that she and her daughter have felt as though they’re being threatened by law enforcement.

While that news was upsetting to hear, it dulls in comparison to claims from Melly’s own mother. She apparently suffered a heart attack due to her stress. Jamie King, who’s been in the courtroom regularly, used an Instagram Story to express her feelings earlier this week. “I’m deleting this app. I can’t be crying and making myself upset because of a lying clout chaser who won’t even show his face in court but care so much,” she vented over a black screen. “I had one heart attack already because of stress,” King added.

Moreover, his daughter Aoki and his ex-wife Kimora detailed his abusive relationship with them, sharing a clip of him screaming at his 20-year-old daughter via FaceTime. Also, they shared text messages in which Simmons blames Kimora for his situation and for taking his money. During Aoki’s Instagram Live session expressing her fears and emotions surrounding the situation, the disgraced record exec actually took to the comments to apologize. Also, he recently shared a response to these developments seemingly addressed to Aoki and his other daughter Ming.

“God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok,” Russell Simmons wrote on Instagram. “Be strong, they are called growing pains as you know. We grow through adversity and struggle. One particular message from Aoki throughout all this hinted at the Def Jam co-founder’s mental health struggles. “My father is not well,” she wrote on Instagram. “For years, he needs help and won’t accept that he refuses to acknowledge he is not himself. He has threatened and bullied my sister, my grandma, he has harassed my grandma in the middle of the night in poor health, send a man to my sisters apartment at 2am to scare her.
