Kodak Black has a Drink Champs interview on the way, as the podcasting team announced with a new preview compilation. Moreover, it’s a series of clips and highlights from the conversation including some funny moments, topical summaries, and other interesting statements or antics during the recording. Considering N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, and the rest of the team’s reputation as one of the best hip-hop media shows right now, this is a pretty exciting moment for the rapper. Yak certainly has a lot to talk about, whether it’s his enduring career, his legal troubles, or his relationships with other artists.

In fact, it seems like he actually showed off a lot of his passion in this episode- at least, if his body language suggests anything. Furthermore, Kodak Black seems like he did most of the interview standing up instead of sitting down, as is the classic Drink Champs formula. Maybe he’s just a bit antsy and can’t stay sitting down for a long time, but it certainly gives him a lot more room to express himself with his full body movements. 6ix9ine Denies Paying Kodak Black $1 Million For Feature On “Shaka Laka”

6ix9ine, Kodak Black, and Yailin La Mas Viral came through with one of the most controversial collabs of the year with “Shaka Laka” back in July. Moreover, that backlash has nothing to do with the song itself and everything to do with the Kodak feature. Many expressed their distaste for the Florida artist working with Tekashi, who received an eternal “anti-snitch” stamp from most of the rap world. Another topic of conversation was Yak’s $1 million paycheck for it, which the rainbow-haired rapper denied came from him directly in a new interview. Apparently, their link-up was all to promote a vape brand that put up all the money for the release.

“Yeah, I didn’t pay him,” 6ix9ine told the interviewer when they asked about the million-dollar verse. “There’s a whole company called Fum, right? There’s whole videos, pictures, bank statements. Literally, there’s videos online of this company saying ‘Listen, this is a collab song for our vapes.’ They’re holding a check, taking a picture with it, it’s everywhere. ‘Yo, 6ix9ine paid a million dollars for Kodak.’ No, it was their song, they paid the million dollars.

“They had an idea,” 6ix9ine continued. “Like I said, music doesn’t excite me; creating does. They wanted it to be a success. You put the money behind it, and you get what you ask for.” What’s more is that Wack 100, his manager, also boasted about the million dollars and promoted it on social media.

Kodak Black’s Artist Syko Bob’s Mother Fatally Shot In Florida: Report

Tragedy struck Syko Bob recently, a Broward County rapper signed to Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang label. Moreover, new reports from VladTV indicate that Bob’s mother passed away following a fatal shooting in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood on Wednesday. Said reports stand unconfirmed as of writing this article, since the Florida MC hasn’t spoken out about this news yet. What’s more is that these reports paired with a video making rounds on social media of a van with bullet holes. In it, a police officer approaches the vehicle and discovers the victim, and sirens ring off loudly in the background.

Furthermore, there aren’t many other details that emerged surrounding this case, such as crime scene analyses or other information. As such, we can assume that this is still an open case under Broward County police jurisdiction and will likely progress in the coming days and weeks. Unfortunately for Syko Bob, he can’t be there with his family and friends to grieve this cataclysmic loss if reports are true. The rapper is currently behind bars for a five-year prison sentence following a guilty plea for illegal gun possession charges in December of 2022.

Syko Bob, real name Cambrel Smart, dealt with this legal situation for the better part of the last two years, starting with a traffic stop on January 5, 2022. After cops stopped him for speeding, they found a bag of marijuana and a loaded gun in his car. According to jail records uncovered by HipHopDX on Instagram, authorities charged him with a DUI. Also, they added charges of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of over 20 grams of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance without prescription, and possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted individual.

Meanwhile, the “My Lil S**t” MC must be going through a lot right now seeing this news. With that in mind, we send him condolences for his loss and hope that he will be able to grieve and honor his mother despite his situation. Boosie Badazz Calls Kodak Black “Ungrateful” In New Diss Track

Boosie Badazz has officially taken his battle with Kodak Black over the latter’s collaboration with 6ix9ine to wax. Moreover, on his recent new album Goin Thru Some Thangs, the 40-year-old rapper included a diss track towards Yak titled “Ungrateful.” On its final set of bars, Boosie spoke on the Florida artist’s street cred, their previous history, and Kodak getting his name from him. It’s not a super direct diss track, as he doesn’t seem to mention his rival by name, but the lyrics themselves make it pretty obvious. In addition, as the very first track on this new project, it’s clear that the Baton Rouge MC wanted to come out swinging.

“I’ve been going through some s**t, man, this s**t done got deep,” Boosie raps. “Gotta realize everybody ain’t G, how the f**k you do that when you represent the streets? Streets made you and the streets made me, if you ask B.G., you was on PC. The name that you got, I think you got that from me, your fans all mad acting like they can’t see, your street cred gone, n***a, don’t blame me.

“S**t, your homeboy right, you ain’t living like that,” Boosie continued on “Ungrateful.” “Everything that you rap, you ain’t never did that, ‘cause the other n***a talking, he a certified rat. Thought Turk felt the same way (God damn), ’cause we all from the same place (Louisiana).” Although it’s kind of unlikely, it would be interesting to see if Kodak Black responds in kind in any way, whether as a full diss track or some subliminal shots.

Kodak Black Enjoys Italy Vacation While His Lawyer Goes To Court Hearing

Kodak Black is no stranger to legal trouble, and it seems like that experience has numbed him to the court setting. Moreover, his attorney Bradford Cohen recently attended a status hearing in on the Florida rapper’s drug case in Broward County according to a Local10.com report from Friday (August 11). While the court did not require Yak to attend physically, Cohen still let them know of his whereabouts during his time at the hearing. Apparently, Kodak was “enjoying himself” on a boat in Italy, specifically Capri. Considering how much this particular case has lasted, it’s understandable that he would want some space to breathe, as much as that process has been mostly his doing.

Furthermore, the hearing relates to a June arrest for failing to submit a drug test, which was part of his pretrial release terms. Authorities initially arrested Kodak Black back in July of 2022 for oxycodone trafficking, controlled substance possession, and expired driver’s license and tags. After this run-in, they released him on $75,000 bond, and officials issued a warrant for his arrest in February for failing to submit the drug test. Eventually they caught him in June for similar charges, and released him on $175,000 bond.

In addition, the judge in this case allowed for the 26-year-old to spend 30 days in a rehab facility to work on his struggles. Even though Kodak Black is assumedly having a great time overseas, this comes shortly after many fans voiced concern for his health and sent him well-wishes following a scary scenario. The Pistolz & Pearlz MC was reportedly stretchered into a hospital, based on a video on social media that seems to depict him entering the premises. It seems like things got better quickly, so hopefully Kodak is enjoying the best health possible during his trip.

In it, Kodak has his arm over his eyes as he lays face up, suggesting that he could be nauseous or otherwise affected. In addition, he slightly raises his left leg, trying to get into the most comfortable pose possible. While we know no details as to why, or even whether the person in the video is really Yak, we hope that if this is the case, that he recover promptly and healthily.

In fact, he even took the time to debut his verse on his new collaboration with 6ix9ine and his girlfriend Yailin la Mas Viral, “Shaka Laka.” Of course, a lot of people aren’t happy with this collab since the rainbow-haired rapper is shunned as a snitch in the hip-hop community, but Kodak doesn’t care. Interestingly enough, Yak also took the time to salute another figure in the rap world that faces similar accusations- and exposes people for it, too.

“That’s why I salute 1090 Jake, for putting all these f**k n***as out there,” Kodak Black said onstage. “I got s**t to do, I got people to take care of, you heard me?” For those unaware, 1090 Jake often makes headlines by posting alleged paperwork of rappers online, which always causes a lot of debate. As if this Friday wasn’t stacked enough with high-profile music releases, 6ix9ine decided to throw his hat into the ring with his new song “Shaka Laka.” Moreover, it features Kodak Black and Tekashi’s girlfriend Yailin la Mas Viral, and given the rapper’s history with snitching, a lot of people aren’t happy with Yak’s decision to work with him. Regardless, other hip-hop figures said that it doesn’t even matter so much at the end of the day, because rappers do things wrong all the time that one can’t stop by themselves. Furthermore, one of these believers is Maino, who recently spoke to Angela Yee on Way Up about the link-up.

“Nah, I’m just saying, I don’t think nobody cares,” Maino expressed. “I mean, I’m not surprised at what no rapper does. Kodak Black in particular has to have a lot on his mind these days, what with his recent renegotiation of his release terms.
